6.86km from downtownThe hotel is very modern and new. Rooms are design style. Very good quality/price ratio.
6.9km from downtownOccupying a central position in Genoa, the hotel is situated just 50 metres away from the railway station, Principe, as well as from the Air Terminal and 200 metres from the harbour.During your stay in Genoa you can easily explore the many sights that this enchanting city has to offer, such as the Aquarium, situated in the Ancient Port Area with all its activities: the Children's Town; The Antarctic Museum; and the Galata Sea Museum. There are also many palaces which you can visit: Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo San Giorgio and the wonderful Garibaldi Street. You can also see the museums of Palazzo Bianco (White Palace); Palazzo Rosso (Red Palace); the National Gallery of the Real Palace, of Palazzo Spinola; The Museum of Oriental Art; the Civic Museum of Natural History; and the original Castello D'Albertis.
6.96km from downtownA big hotel with clean rooms! There are many halls nearby! The hotel waiters are enthusiastic about helping travelers. Most importantly, it is close to the station, and it is especially convenient to travel to and from Milan! I have lived three times and love it every time!
6.99km from downtownThe hotel is very close to the airport, not far from the metro and train station. It's convenient to eat nearby. There are several Chinese restaurants. The room was cleaned and the breakfast was plentiful. Especially the boss, President Zhao, is considerate and very familiar with the local people and gives you good suggestions for travel.
7km from downtownIt was convenient in front of the station. The room was also cleaned every day, and I was able to use it comfortably. There are a lot of amenities, and there are services that you can get without a toothbrush, so I think the service is good. Breakfast was good as it was, but I got bored with no changes in the menu. 7.01km from downtownThe entrance is messy, the rooms and facilities are old, but the reception is very good and there is no bad impression.
7.03km from downtownThe hotel's novel and unique style design makes people feel bright. The ceiling of the bar is very distinctive. I like the hotel’s communal garden terrace. It is also a coffee shop with hammocks and lounge chairs. The most important thing is that there are flowers everywhere. The standard double room is very large with two windows. The front desk was very welcoming when checking out. The luggage storage front desk took me there. There was no ticket when I picked it up, so I took a small plastic piece to open the door.
7.04km from downtownWe had a room reserved at La Piazzetta months ago. Our train was delayed in France and I texted our new arrival time to Piazzetta. This caused them to tell me we would arrive too late and find another place to stay GOODBYE! (La Piazzetta. Don’t bother booking there.) So we walked off the train, out the front of the Principe Station, followed around the right curve of the building and there, literally across the street (one minute walk maximum) was the Hotel Galata. It was a great, last minute emergency place to stay and here is why: the night clerk, Norwin Ty took us right in. I looked ahead of time and the normal room rate for a double was €79. Norwin looked at us, looked at the clock (it was now 23:00 and we’d be leaving about 8:00) and he said, “The rate is normally €79 but I will give it to you for... sixty.” Now that is a good employee with great service. He makes a great espresso by the way. The room was not at all fancy or luxurious. It did however have everything we need. WiFi, great plug situation for charging. Lots of space and clear counter tops for storage (not cluttered with cutesy foo-foo). The room was large, clean, the bathroom had soaps and hairdryer and many towels (your choice of soft or rough). There is a refrigerator , AC, TV. Simple breakfast in the morning. Great location for a stop-thru on the train. Look. It was late at night and he could have tried to rip off the tired travelers. But he didn’t. I rate honest value pretty high. Five stars. But it’s not fancy.
7.05km from downtownLovely boutique hotel few minutes walk from the Central train station. Barbara and Anna were very helpful and friendly and spoke some English. The rooms are spacious and Everything was clean wooden floor so no musky carpets thankfully. The elevator is from the first floor. The street is lined with restaurants. The Palace and the churches are just a few minutes away. In all we had a fab time as we were walking every where and loving every moment of it.
Hotels Near Da U Garbe' Bar Trattoria In Genoa Review
Been there for a few days, sharing a big room with friends and that's ok. 3 bathrooms plus a washbasin room in the corridor within...50 people? Mainly clean (room is not clean - got dust 'cats' under by bed ). Ther funny stuff was some underwear abandoned for days to dry. In the kitchen it is well written "food found without a name and room number will be throwen away" but nothing mentioned for the clothing. Perfect central position, I would recomment it. Breakfast is provided, you just have to prepare it and wash your dishes. And many people don't understand that the wooden 'tray' close to the sink is a chopping board, and not a place where to let dry the cleaned stuff. Curious. Other curious fact is that not all the people working there speak Italian. Is it Italy?
The location is very good. Just near the aquarium. There is a supermarket and breakfast shop 100 meters to the right of the hotel. The room we stayed in was the open window and the sea. It was really close to the lively place on the seaside in Genoa. It was about three minutes walk from the aquarium.
Genoa was a stopover to Milan for a temporary stop. There was no requirement for the hotel, but StarWorld Hotel exceeded expectations. The room is large, the decoration is also decent, the keys are very old, with too heavy, you can leave to stay at the hotel. Continental breakfast is not bad. I didn't go shopping in Genoa, so I don't know much about the city.
Our flight got cancelled and we called up the Genova Liberty Hotel where we'd been staying. Unfortunately they were out of rooms but offered to ask Soana. There words were "it's not quite so nice but it's clean". To be fair to Soana, the rooms are a bit old, the furniture is a bit on the older side but it was clean, decent en suite, comfy bed, air con and the people were extremely kind. It's so grim when your flight gets cancelled but we were greeted, shown the room, the owner printed out our new boarding passes for us as well and even though it would have been really easy for them to have bumped up the price because we were stuck and had nowhere to go, it was really reasonable. If you're travelling on a budget, you could certainly do far worse and you couldn't fault the hospitality.
The room is very spacious, the price is not high but it is also in the downtown area, you can walk anywhere. There is a big balcony, and the toiletries are better. Overall, good value for money

The B&B is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We walked from the train station - about 20 or 25 minutes with our luggage. The next day we took the bus and it stops at the end of the street. The room was impeccably clean. Our host, Claudio, was kind and thoughtful. Breakfast was an assortment of pastries (including focaccia), fruit, biscuits, tea and coffee. Apparently focaccia is part of the standard Genoan breakfast! We had no trouble communicating and I would love to visit again.
We have just come back from a mini week end in Genova. We stayed at Hôtel de Ville (why not Hotel de la Ville?). The hotel is new and it is located in two floors of an old Palazzo modernly restores just in front of the old harbor. This area has become in the last years one of the best in town, with the famous aquarium, restaurants, cinemas...The streets of the elegant shoppingare 10 minutes walk away while the famous Vicoli (the little streets of the old town) are just behind. The hotel is all decorated in beige, grey and brown tones and all around there is a beautiful collection of travel posters and affiches (if they are all original they must have cost a fortune)! Our room was huge and comfortable with a beautiful view on the harbor. Of course there is the “sopraelevata” (a busy and noisy highway) in between but the soundproof is excellent. Breakfast was ok. We went with a Smartbox and the voucher included an Aperitivo, which was tasty. But why not having a simple crodino,in Italy?
Hotel Cantore was lovely, just exactly what we wanted, well placed for access to Genoa and surroundings and the hotel staff were very welcoming and generous with their time to help us find our way around. Very clean, comfortable and good value for money. My sister and I came to Genoa for a concert and the theatre was just round the corner from the hotel which is why we picked it initially but we would definitely stay there again if/when we visit Genoa again.
The hotel is very near to the train station, however the hotel street is very quiet, so you almost forget about that.
The room had plenty of space and was clean. Good value for the price, would stay more nights.
Excellent modern mini suites in a renovated building just across the road from the Principe train station and on the main street to the historic centre, about 10 mins walk away. (Palazzo Real is on the same street). Entrance to the hotel, like many of the other old buildings is very narrow so take care not to miss it. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants but still pretty quiet. We had a separate bedroom linked to a small sitting area with a super large armchair, desk, mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities and even a couple of biccies. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Bathroom was also reasonable size with modern fittings, a shower cubicle (no bath) and complimentary shower gel and body lotion. A buffet breakfast is usually available for 7 euro we were told but was closed due to covid. This was not an issue as there is a decent cafe next door and several others to choose from close by as well. My only criticism was that there was no heating in the room. We could only get the air con to blow out cold air and as it was pretty chilly and wet during our stay, we could really have done with a bit of warmth.
The breakfast is less than the type but the service is very good. The stairs are very beautiful. The location is next to the subway station Ferrari Square. It is surrounded by a commercial street. The location is very convenient.
We stayed for 4 nights at BB Tube. We had the room with balcony which was great to come back to after a day out and have a drink. The room was excellent. The host, Luigi, was such a nice man, he can advise you on where to visit and where to eat out for a reasonable cost. The B&B is close to the train station which is good for getting around. There are electric blinds on the windows which cut out any noise. Luigi told us about an old rack train which goes to Casella which was nice. The volabus takes you from the airport to Brignole train station. If you are at the front exit of Brignole train station looking out at bus stops and trees then turn right keeping the building close to you, after a coffee shop there is a tunnel covered in graffiti. Walk to the end where there are steps on the left and opposite is a lift which takes you up to road level, come out of lift follow the road up on the left to a zebra crossing, cross it and BB is just up on your right. Breakfast was very good too. Enjoy your stay.

Il Genovino was superb. The room was quiet, large, with excellent facilities, very comfortable bed and a range of 3 pillows each. The a/c and wifi were very efficient. Didn't try the tv but the remote had netflix and youtube on it. There was a usb charging socket next to the bed. Breakfast was delicious with cereal/focaccia/huge croissants/cake/juice/yoghhurt/cheese/ham set out, and coffee however you want it made in the shared kitchen (there are 3 rooms in total , ours had a small balcony with chairs/table ) with the delightful owner Anna (or a friend) onsite at breakfast time. Anna was very helpful with good advice about how to get to places and where to eat. Initially we thought it further from the historic centre than we had imagined from maps, but it is only a few minutes by cheap and frequent bus from just outside the apartment building to the central sights. Taxis are easy to call too. It is in a very safe residential area with several small supermarkets and good restaurants very close and a lot of excellent restaurants a pleasant 10 minute walk away in Albaro Arena, so we were very pleased we stayed there rather than in the busy centre.
We stayed here for our fourth anniversary- was a lovely hotel. Quality room. Friendly and helpful staff. Very central. Perfect for exploring the old town and the beautiful palaces. Highly recommended.
Good hotel close to Genova train station and only a 5-10 minute walk to the center. The room was clean, enough space and the bathroom was fine. Check in was a bit strange. A few days before we arrived we got a message via booking.com from the ower with the question what time we should arrive at the hotel. We send our arrival time and we got a message back the check in time was (as stated on booking.com) at 6 PM. We didn't understand why the owner wanted to know our arrival time then. As 6 PM is quite late for us we were ok with check in in at 6 PM but when we arrived at 4 PM didn't expect to find the hotel closed. For us check in is something different than a closed front door. So we couldn't drop off our suit cases and explore the city (as we thought would be possible and check in at 6 PM). We had some drinks in a bar nearby and went back at 5. Luckly the owner was arrived and we could drop off our suitcases in the room. So keep in mind you can only enter the hotel at 6 PM and you cannot drop off your suitcases before that time. Maybe a tip for the owner to mention this.

This hotel was in an excellent location -- a 10 minute walk from the train station through a shopping district, and 10 minutes to the main Ferrari Piazza. The hotel did allow us to check in early which was very kind, but there was some confusion about the prepayment of our booking through Expedia which was a bit frustrating. The hotel room was clean and modern with high ceilings painted with a mock fresco. The room has a mini fridge stocked with two bottles of complimentary water, along with a TV, wardrobe, free WiFi, luggage racks, and a simple but spacious bathroom. The best part about this hotel is the excellent continental breakfast served each morning which included a full spread of croissants and toast with jam/nutella/peanut butter/etc., eggs, selection of meat and cheese, torte, yogurt, whole fruit, juice, and coffee. You can help yourself to whatever you would like, and there is lots of seating available. The staff clean up your table after you finish. Besides the confusion with the hotel check-in, we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel with the comforts similar to a typical North American hotel with some added charm and a hearty breakfast.
Wonderful hotel in an old palazzo. Perfect location for walking to the major attractions of Genoa (the aquarium and waterfront, the many palazzos along Via Garibaldi, Palazzo Reale, etc. Rooms are modern, spacious and well equipped and the breakfast was excellent, with changing homemade pastries and breads every day. Service was excellent as well - when we found our showerhead broken they fixed it in an hour and brought us a gift of a panettone to apologize for any inconvenience. I will only add one caution for those of more delicate sensibilities. To get to some of the attractions (especially up to Via Garibaldi), you will need to navigate some of the narrow, old alleys/streets that have a bit of a ... reputation. Yes, we did walk past women lingering outside who seemed to be of a particular occupation and some gentlemen who might have dealt in the trade of certain substances. But none of them bothered us at all, I never felt in any risk or danger, just do as the locals do and walk along to your destination. I would still not hesitate to stay here again on a future trip to Genoa.
We stayed in an apartment that was very clean in the center of the old town. It was value for money, the owner was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. An amazing place in with I recommend for your stay I. Genova. Is in the middle of everything!!!
I am really enthusiastic about this hotel. Stay there if you can! Stayed here with a group of students - they had the 8 bed apartment and as teachers we had single rooms. The Hotel is centrally located - about a ten minute walk from the main station and is on a safe and historical street. The rooms are great - a good size with showers and all the usual facilities. They are clean, comfortable and have character being painted in the style of different artists. There are a couple of social areas that are amazingly decorated. Wifi is fast. Breakfast is wonderful - nothing hot but a huge range of other things from cold meats and cheese through to warm croissants and breads. The best thing about the Hotel though is that it is family run and the husband wife and daughter team are amazing hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they give out really good information about the city and where to go to eat and what to see. Our trip would not have been as great had it not been for their help. We are hoping to visit again next year - this is a really great small hotel! Oh - and it is on the third floor of an old palace with really Genoese views from the windows - there is a lift!!
We are a family from Hong Kong. My husband, son and I like this hotel very much. It is clean and tidy. If you are a Chinese or Hong Kong traveler, you must receive this hotel. Although the front desk staff is very busy, it is very helpful and friendly
We are family from HongKong. It is very clean and tidy. It contains a strong water pressure. If you are from China or HongKong, you must like this hOrel. Moreover, the front desk staff was very helpful and professional.
Hotel located in perfect location very close to main attractions in Town. Room was clean and tidy, without air condition what was dreadful. By mistake booked room without bathroom had to go outside my room to have a shower but bathroom was small but ok.
I stayed at the Hotel Fiume with my family in early April 2019. This is the first time that we have been to Italy and chose Genoa because it was easy to reach from my local airport in Bristol and the city isn’t far from Genoa airport. The Volabus that stops outside the terminal building takes you more or less straight to the hotel and it takes about half an hour. The cost is €6 per person (child or adult) one way. The hotel is centrally located in Genoa right on the doorstep of the main shopping area and about a half an hour walk from the harbour area. It’s also very handy for buses to neighbouring towns as well as the main Genoa train station which is about a 5 minute walk away if you want to go further afield. The hotel is small and has the feeling of a ‘hostel’ about it, but it’s very clean and well appointed. I would imagine that it was a residential property at some point in the past that has been converted into a hotel. Our room was small, but perfectly adequate for our purposes. Small bathroom with a shower (no bath) and all the usual bathroom amenities! One wardrobe was provided and no safe. TV on the wall with Sky TV albeit in Italian. We were able to catch some live Premier league football in our room which was a novelty! There is Sky News and BBC World news in English but that was the only English language channels I could locate. Reception staff are very friendly and more than willing to help. Most of them speak good English but one or two only speak Italian, therefore it is a good idea to learn the basics before you go! No Breakfast is served at this hotel, although there is a McDonalds in the city as well as a number of café’s around. There is a McDonalds on the corner, but it doesn’t open until 10.30am. There isn’t a bar or a restaurant onsite either. There was a coffee and tea vending machine and a kettle is provided in the room, although you will have to supply the tea, coffee, milk & sugar! There is a supermarket about 5 minutes’ walk away. All in all, don’t expect a lot from this hotel as it literally is just a bed and room for the night, but it represents very good value for shorter stays and is in a very good position within the city. If going to Genoa again, I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The hotel is relatively cost-effective, located at the cruise terminal, the elevated road in front of the hotel, there will be some noise at night, although very close to the sea, but due to the road, it is impossible to walk to the beach. The room is fully equipped and the breakfast is very rich.
We found this hotel just looking aroud and it firat sight it looks allready really clean and friendly. The rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast is above expetations. We came at midnight with a car and they were so friendly with giving us all the informations what we needed. We would like to say special thanks to night manager because he was really frindly and helpful. We would recomend this hotel to stay in Genova.
A very nice hotel in Downtown Genoa. The place was clean, the morning breakfast was excellent, the bed was very comfortable and we had a great stay! The only thing that was unusual was the room key they gave us was a physical key on a giant weighted keychain. It was a little hard to stuff into the pocket of my pants. . . but we thought the hotel was great!
