I booked for our summer family trip in Vigan. Booking and checking in was a breeze. The reception is warm. Everything exceeded my expectation. I chose a deluxe suite room and it's indeed a home away from home, just a brisk walk away from Calle Crisologo. The room was huge and spic and span. It has 2 spacious rooms with en suite toilet and bath with another extra sofa convertible bed in the living area. All linens are clean and they did perfectly to incorporate the Ilocano culture by adding Inabel to the designs of the sheets. 2 beds has this special princess like curtains. Everything so cozy and clean. It also has this round table and kitchen with its own utensils, microwave and all. The plates are Corelle! It also has its own balcony where you can breathe fresh air. Everything placed perfectly like your home. So loved this place it exceeded my expectation. Breakfast is served in the room and of course we loved the Vigan longganisa. It's timing that when we visited Vigan we get to see the Binatbatan Festival. Philippine and Ilocano culture preserved at its finest. Will surely be back to this place. My kids loved how huge it is for a hotel. It has this vintage Filipino feels but everything is new. Perfect!
This is the first and only museum hotel in the Philippines and it was just an amazing experience. The staff are were welcoming, the location is perfect, right around the corner from Calle Crisologo. There is a swimming pool in the centre of the hotel, but unfortunately we had bad weather during our stay and couldn’t enjoy it. The room is spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is served in “a la carte” style, instead of a buffet. Everything was just very enjoyable and Vigan is a must for visitors in the Philippines!

We booked for a stay from Dec 21 to Dec 26.we got the dormitory room at the 3rd floor. The room is good for 6 people. The room has 3 bunk beds. A split type ac. It had a cold and hot water. There is no bath tub but the shower is enough for us. Water pressure is good. The closet is not that big but we didn't mind. There is no kitchenette but being close to crisologo is not a problem. There was a table where they placed drinking glasses. No complementary water bottles but there are water dispensers in each floor. Kudos for helping save the environment. They also provide slippers, toiletries. The bunk beds were close to each other but we don't mind. The beds are comfortable but you need to ask for thicker specially those that are going to sleep at the upper bunk. It can get cold because the ac is right across the beds. The room is at far side of the hallway so it is a lot quieter. The room is also at the back of the hotel which is a relief. The shower head is big but wonky and the glass door's panel is a bit askew.Even the painting on the wall looks crooked. It looked like it fell and the repair being done is not so good. The bathroom door is a bit hard to maneuver. We feel like it is not sliding smoothly. It is making this banging sound. Parking is not a problem. They will assist you if you need to have a parking spot specially if you decided to go out of Vigan for the day and be back in the afternoon or night. The hotel also has a restaurant where the price of the food is reasonable and the servings are big like the pansit bihon and the pinakbet. They also provided us with a complimentary dinner during Christmas eve for all us. They even allow my sister's family to dine with us.They are booked in a different accomodation. They just paid 300 each for the buffet dinner which were composed of rice, pasta, lechon and beef stew like caldereta if I am not mistaken, banana bread, juice. Simple meal but filling. Breakfast is plated but filling. They have options for you to choose from, Filipino, American, ilokano. The staff are helpful. They allow us to use their fridge for our blueberry wine from Pangasinan since we did not have any fridge in our room. They also help us heat up our left over chicken from KFC since the kids wants to eat them for dinner with their pinakbet. The staff are courteous and helpful. On our last day one of the housekeeper thought that my clay jar wrapped in plastic placed near the trash bin was trash. I only found out around 5 or 6pm as i was preparing everything for our early check out the next day. Even the broom that I bought were missing. They helped us looked for the items and luckly they were located. It was a good stay. Good location. Reasonably priced food. Attentive, courteous staff!

First off, Karen at the front desk was fantastic, after already working for 19+ hours. Hats off to her. Only complaint really was the smoke alarm(s) has dead batteries and we asked to be repacked and they were not. Pretty loud construction at night hours as well. Bed and room was comfortable good water flow and clean. Thanks Karen for saving us!
The Hotel Mercante is one of the newest hotels in Vigan, having opened in 2022. Keeping busy is easy, with Vigan City, Archbishop's Palace and St Paul Metropolitan Cathedral all nearby. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.
The hotel is situated in the very city centre, old town, where most of the tourist attractions are just in several minutes walking distance. Be careful when choosing a room - my was without windows, actually there was a door heading to something like a balcony, where the outer body of a split air-conditioner for another room was placed - it has never turned off, so I had to take it as it is :) Breakfast is served starting from 7am, so if you are early bird or just need to leave earlier there is no option for earlier breakfast. Staff were very polite and the room and the hotel were very clean and tidy.
