Both of them are about 5 minutes walk to Kochi Jo castle and Harima and bridge, and there are restaurants such as Hirome market around, and Sunday city is also held on the previous street, and it is convenient as a base for sightseeing. It was a cheap business hotel, but it is clean and you can drink raw beer with welcome drinks, and the cospa is good because it has breakfast.

We arrived in Kochi by train. The scenery along the train is really like the scenes in Hayao Miyazaki's movies. We crossed the sea, passed the mountains, and saw the river. There are green grass and red houses. It is clean and tidy. There will be no crowds here. Noisy like Osaka and Tokyo, don't have a different situation.

I chose the cheapest hotel in JAL business pack. Was the hotel photo I saw in advance quite old? In fact, the appearance was very old and surprised. I was late for the airport bus flight and used a taxi from Kochi Airport to the hotel for about 4500 yen, so I was able to arrive at the hotel, but if I took the bus and walked by myself, Maybe I couldn't find it. But the hotel staff 々 was kind, the room was clean and we had a very satisfying stay. Convenience stores were also nearby and the location was great. It is a hotel enough if you only stay cheaply.

Suddenly, it was saved because it rained. The front desk is 24 hours corresponding and there is no gate limit. There are restaurants near the cherry blossoms, and convenience stores are close. ● I was worried The wall was very thin, and the sound of the outside car and the sound of the next room were rounded. It was a level that can be clearly understood to the voice. The wall is lined up with Toyoko Inn. The cherry blossom room key is not a card key, so one by one, the key must be left at the front desk. When I received, I had to tell the room number and full name, and it was a little trouble. The carpet in the cherry blossom room had long hair left as it was. I feel that the carpet cleaning is not enough. Amenities such as cherry blossom shampoo are minimal. The quality is never good, so it is better to bring people who care. The location is super good, next to Harimaya Bridge, not far from the shopping streets and Kochi Castle, saving a lot of time. Since I have stayed at other hotels during this time, this one is much older than other hotels, but basically you should have space and equipment and cleaning. The disadvantage is that the network speed is too slow, even if I have a wired network connection, I hope to improve it.

We were in the area to tour Kochi's sights and sounds, and while Auberge Tosayama is about a 45 minute drive from the city, we had our own car and felt that relaxing in a remote oasis would be better than staying at a bland, large hotel. After staying at this retreat, we felt that we made a good choice. It's a stylish small resort (only 16 rooms total) that blends in nicely with its mountainous surroundings. It has a mostly earthly tone in muted colors that really soothed our soul and made us feel one with nature. The reception area has floor-to-ceiling windows with great views of the lush greenery and rolling hills all around. Our Villa was accessed by crossing the river via a suspension bridge (it's sturdy, not to worry) - an interesting way to get to the room without it being too far to be an arduous task. The Villa itself is one of a few that on the other side of the river, and each are detached units that are reminiscent of a mountain hut. The Villa was tastefully furnished and well appointed. While we generally prefer larger rooms with bedrooms that are separate from the living room, the junior suite-style layout was adequate. Two nits to pick, however. First, no Onsen (natural hot springs) bath in the room, as is the case with many top-end ryokans. Secondly, internet speeds were terrible... that is, if we could even get connected (it was intermittent.) While I understand that the purpose of staying in a place like this is to unwind and disconnect from the civilized world, it would be nice to have the option to get online should we so choose. Oh, one more thing... the nearest electrical outlet is FAR from the only table in the room; we borrowed a long extension cord, but even then, it was literally a stretch for the cable to reach my laptop. At least they have a communal Onsen, which is gender segregated (like 99% of public ryokan Onsen baths) and offers both an indoor and open-air bath. It's not very large, but given the small number of rooms on site, it's doubtful that you'll have to share it with too many people, save for late afternoons (just before dinner) and late mornings (after breakfast and just before check-out time.) Auberge Tosayama's supposed calling card is its food offerings - after all, it has ”Auberge” in its name. We enjoyed the meals, and it's probably as good as it's going to get in Kochi. It won't be on our ”10 best ryokan meals” list, but it doesn't have to be. Not everything was spectacular, but there were a few memorable dishes. The Foie Gras ”Joyo Mushi” was a dish consisting of Foie Gras mixed with grated Yam that was steamed into a ball shape, topped with Uni (Sea Urchin) and doused with Ankake sauce. Even the simpler dishes, including a salad that contained locally-sourced vegetables such as Komatsuna (Japanese Mustard Spinach) and Japanese Turnip was excellent. We were in Kochi after all, so we really wanted to try some of the indigenous dishes... and Auberge Tosayama did a great job introducing us to many lo

(About location) It is conveniently located 5 minutes walk to Harima and bridge, 20 minutes walk to Kochi Castle. (About parking) I chose the condition that parking is free near downtown. I had a guide on the web site, so I called in advance to use the parking lot. When I arrived at the hotel, the male attendant came out in front of the hotel and explained that the first parking lot would move to the second parking lot because of the full car, and gave me a map with the location and the number of the parking lot. It is about 100m away from the hotel, but it is appreciated that you can park for free. After checking out, it was also helpful to keep it until noon. (About the room) The stains and dirt on the walls are conspicuous in an old hotel. I don't know if it's only some rooms or all rooms, but the bad smell that seems to be the smell of sewage from the exhaust port is filled with the unit bus, and this point I couldn't bear. (About housekeeping) There seemed to be a housekeeping warehouse near the room, and the staff women began to arrange cleaning equipment in the hallway from around 9 in the morning. The sheets and towels are also miscellaneous in front of the elevator and the room. When we try to return to the room after breakfast, several staff are in front of the door. ”This is 2 floor,” the staff said. ”Yes, the back is our room.” (Breakfast) The sandwich with sausage and other ingredients on a small roll bread is cute and looks like an installation. The contents came out and I was tired to eat. The cleaning of the tableware was a method of bringing the tray by each person, but the number of staff in charge was not enough, and the work was not in time, and the tray was not able to be placed in the return place. It seems that there is no relaxation to work carefully, and it was a pity that the tableware was cleaned with a loud sound. The location and parking lot were good for free, but there were many points of reduction materials such as the bad smell of the unit bus, and the total point was 2.5 points.

The message was attached to the hotel's 2 floor window. For major hotels, corona is a hard thing. I chose to hear that the buffet meal was great, but it was a pity for us that it was not possible, but it should be regrettable for the hotel staff. The response to alcohol disinfection and mask sling partition is real. But it made me stay more secure than tension and zannen. When I put the car into the hotel, there was a little trouble, but I responded immediately and felt the sincerity of the hotel. I want to take care of you again if the corona settles.

This hotel is great for self-drive holiday as there are ample parking lots (need to pay) and the location is just 100m from the Kochi station for those who are traveling by train and also close to most attractions. When you arrive, the staff will greet you immediately. The lobby is small, but it is relieved by a hearty welcome. The dishes were served with Kaiseki dishes that used Tosa's good things. The bonito tat was great and the first challenged urchin was delicious! I don't think it is convenient for sightseeing because it is far from Kochi station, but it may be good to go to Obiya CHO and Kochi Jo castle by being shaken by Saden. I want to disturb you again when I go to Kochi!

The biggest decisive factor that chose this hotel was that there was a large bath with sauna at a reasonable price. It is divided into the new building (A building) and the old building (B building), and the large bath is on the A building 8 floor. You can stay relatively cheaply at the B building of the old building, but once you go to the public bath, you go down to 1 floor and pass through the front desk and again by elevator to 8 floor. The old building is a dim impression overall, but you can see that the room is very clean and clean. I don't care at all about the new building or the old building if I put it in the room. The breakfast buffet is also rich in the number of items and is very satisfied. This was a little over 5, 000 yen in late 11 before the consecutive holiday I stayed in, so I thought it was a pretty good hotel in Cospa (use the old building. I think it will be a little higher if it is a new building). It is a little far to walk from Obiya CHO, Hirome market and Kochi station in downtown (although it is relatively short if you use the city tram) and it is strong, and it is negative point (the point of the location was reduced by 1 rank). Anyway, the public bath was the best. Thank you.

The building itself is certainly facing the riverbank, but the room I stayed in was a western room, but it was narrow, and the walls and ducts of the apartment building that seemed to be decaying when I opened the window were only visible, and I was almost breathless. There is a large bath, but it is a tight feeling if only one bathtub and three people enter. And I think it is not a hot spring. The dishes were more important than quality, so I left quite a bit. The most disappointing thing is the tataki of the cherry blossoms that went out for dinner. The freshness was bad and smelly, and I lost my appetite only by seeing it. The room rate was also jumped several times as usual, and I was disappointed overall. However, it was saved that the aunt Nakai who served the meal was cheerful and generous. When I ordered the whiskey straight, I brought me a glass.
