Myself and my partner travelled at the beginning of August. The hotel was a great base for sightseeing with excellent public transport links to popular tourist destinations such as Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii. The local area is a typical Italian town, clearly not aimed at tourists. The locals can seem unfriendly however I would disagree with other reviews saying they felt unsafe. We arrived late in the evening and the hotel staff were very accommodating and checked us in at 11pm. Top tip- taxis from the airport to the hotel are double fare which is often not explained by the driver before getting in! The room was spacious, the air conditioning throughout the hotel was amazing and the hotel came with all amenities- such as a safe, walk in wardrobe and fridge. We paid for half board which I would definitely recommend, the breakfast was an excellent buffet and dinner was always superb. The blonde waitress displayed especially fabulous service, catering to our every need. My only gripe was that the staff were seemingly underprepared for vegetarian guests as I had a Capri salad for main four nights on the trot, however the blonde waitress did arrange for a more filling and exciting alternative on the last night. Also, we were offered water at the start of every meal each night but weren't advised that this came at a cost so had a nasty shock when we had a thirty euro bill at the end of our stay. Generally, all hotel staff were cheery and happy to help. The handbook in the bedroom showed that you could request items such as shaving kits and extra toiletries from Reception which I used on multiple occasions which was brought up to our room within five minutes by staff. Hotel staff have very good English and were more than happy to direct us to our chosen destination for the day or give us advice on where to visit. Overall, the half board package was well worth the money and I would visit here again in the future.

My wife and I had a pleasant six day stay at the Albergo Santa Teresa. We came to Torre Del Greco to meet with family who lived near by. The albergo was situated near a main shopping area close to restaurants , outlet stores and there was a church nearby. The setting was clean giving the feeling of the aristocratic Italy of the past. The staff at the desk were particularly helpful with details about the community and with available tours to Capri and the like. They spoke English. They were helpful as to travel information to Naples and Italy in general. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast. An adaptor was provided to charge the phone. The Circumvesuviana which we took to Naples was within walking distance. There is ample parking

Having spent 5 days on the beautiful island of Ischia, the drive through Torre del Greco to end up in front of what looks like a modernised 1960s/70s concrete block brought us down to earth with a bump! My husband’s initial response was whether we should look for somewhere else to stay... We stayed and indeed stopped for the 5 nights we’d booked...and we didn’t look elsewhere. It was fine...it served it’s purpose. It was somewhere to stay while we visited the area, but it wasn’t a destination in and of itself! Location: the whole reason behind choosing this hotel was to use it as a jumping off point to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum, Amalfi coast, Vesuvius, Naples. It has a car park, it’s v close to a Circumvesuviana station and not that far to drive to the airport. So perfect location from that perspective. Torre del Greco is not the prettiest of places, and some of the side roads are a bit gritty (we got lost in the one way system down some very old narrow roads), but the hotel is on the edge of the national park and the area is not so densely built up. Rooms: we had a triple room on the car park side on the 2nd floor. It was a decent size, modern with comfortable bed, clean and really powerful shower (even if the cubicle is a bit tight). So all the basics were ticked. Nice big safe. The view wasn’t what I expected...directly opposite was the annex building to the hotel on the other side of the car park. The sea view was partial and off to one side, with Vesuvius off to the other. Rooms on the 3rd floor would have a better view (though still sidewards). Restaurant: After reading other TA reviews, breakfast was a real disappointment. They had some big groups of tourists in and it felt like a school canteen. The coffee machine made disgusting coffee and the hot water for tea it provided was tainted with coffee! (Better to ask one of the waiters to bring a tea pot of hot water or a fresh cappuccino, which they were always willing to do). Lots of things in packets, tinned fruit salad, juice from concentrate in plastic cups, sloppy cold scrambled eggs. But there were some good things (the cakes were nice and there was some fresh fruit) so you needed to pick carefully and get your timings right (arrive after a big group and everything was gone!) The food at dinner was much tastier if not exceptional, but the service was at times exceedingly slow (the big groups took up a lot of capacity and annoyingly Italian guests always seemed to get served first, even when they ordered 30-45 minutes after us!). Sky terrace: the real selling point. It has great views of the bay of Naples, Capri and Vesuvius. The bar didn’t open til 7pm, but that didn’t matter, it was a great place to chill out. Pool: small and squeezed down the side of the hotel (between the kitchen and dining room) and only got the sun in the afternoon. But fine if you wanted a quick swim after a hot day in Pompeii. Staff: Some were so lovely and helpful and really made a di

Wow!!!! What nice people Genaro (sorry if I spelled that wrong) and his daughter are. My wife and I spent 3 nights here and felt like we were family. What a wonderful owner! The room was very modern and well maintained with an amazing view of the Gulf of Naples. Breakfast is very good with a nice variety to choose from. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent and there are several other good restaurants just around the corner from the hotel. This hotel is a little out of the main tourist areas so you get to mingle with normal Italians which is a very pleasant change from the busy tourist areas. The hotel is VERY reasonably priced for as nice as it is. The restaurants in the area serve the best pizzas we ate in Italy and for a bargain price. We had a car for our trip and found it pretty easy to get to Pompeii or Naples from here. The only thing I would mention as note to potential guests is the hotel isn’t super close to the metro train station. Plan on taking a taxi if you’re arriving by metro. There’s parking at the hotel if you have a car. Thank you for a wonderful stay Genaro! Ivi and I want to come stay for a longer time next year!

As I travel regularly to Ercolano, I was looking for a place to stay that feels like home. The location, being on the boulevard at the beach, 20 min by car from both Napoli and Pompei, 30 km from Sorrento and 45km from Positano is just perfect. The family that runs the hotel is awesome and gives you the best thinkable service 24 hours per day. I feel at home here! A special thanks to the lady that takes care of the breakfast; it doesn't matter how late I show up, she pampers me all the time ))
