The hotel is beautiful, clean and in a great location. I rarely complain about anything, however, the young lady who checked us in said, ”oh, and your breakfast is included!” This is not something I expected because normally I don't elect this unless it's automatic because I prefer the flexibility to have breakfast somewhere else. And usually larger hotel breakfasts are expensive. There were four of us in our party, and since it was ”included”” we went down every morning to take advantage of breakfast. When we checked out however we learned it was NOT included and we were charged $20 for each person per day. We explained the mistake to the front desk person, but he said he could not help us. Unfortunate. We won't return to this property.

Disappointed with room size as it was far too small. Limited hanging space for clothing so lived out of the suitcases. No space to put suitcases so had them lying on the floor. Ended up as a tripping hazard, especially if you had to get in the middle of the night. The TV channel selection was very poor. There is no excuse to have 1 BBC English news channel available for English speaking visitors. With satellite TV so freely available one would have thought multiple channels would be available. It would have been nice to have been able to sit and watch something after a full day out. Breakfast was just OK. The scrambled eggs on offer tasted powdery, as though they were made from powdered eggs. Asking for an omelet from the kitchen improved the taste. Other than the scrambled eggs everything else on offer for breakfast was satisfactory enough. The location is good, once we got used to it and got used to using the Metro system.. By that I mean access to the Metro and Aerobus route was excellent. I would not stay at this hotel again as I thought it was overpriced for what the room had to offer.

Right on the Plaza of Spain, this is the main venue of the New Year's Eve party. The gathering of tens of thousands of people is too spectacular. The hotel is the subway, which is very convenient. You can buy 10 tickets for the subway. There is an outdoor swimming pool on the roof, so we can go in winter.

Only stayed for one night, but the room was lovely and spacious and the hotel is well-located. Would definitely stay here again if the location suits. Just a note that the bathroom layout is a bit unconventional and is probably best for comfortable travel buddies.

Near the Plaza de España, the passport was stolen on the first day, close to the police station, good service, rich breakfast. After deducting the three-day room rate on the first day, the room charge was deducted for 154 euros, which was handled by Ctrip agent. There are no results in 4 days, Barcelona can't come next time, it's too messy.

Just 200 meters southwest of Plaza de España, take the airport bus line to and from the airport, and the N18 night bus (don't take the N17, N17 stop). The two departures from the hotel were more than 3:00 in the morning and more than 5:00 in the morning. The hotel stayed at the hotel at 0:00 in the morning. They were all at night. At the beginning, there was still some worry. I was afraid that no one would receive it. Later, the hotel proved to be very professional. There are many dining places nearby, and there is a DIA medium-sized supermarket 200 meters to the southwest. The rooms are very clean, with electric curtains, safe, kettle and fridge. Only the shower, I don't know what kind of room type can have a bathtub, but there is no place for showers in the shower room. The breakfast was very good, 15 euros, and I really liked the vegetable salad cup. Oysters and other ready-made foods, there are tips on the table, and the waiter should be on the line. In short, very professional hotel, four stars better than Samsung, the price is relatively high.

We stayed in Ding Dong Fira from 01 to 03 March and regretted not to stay anymore. Excellent location, clean and impecable apartment, with all the tools for one day. They also hospitalized us very well. We will be back! The photos of the ad are true to the original apartment. We love the hotel and Barcelona!

The location of the hotel is slightly biased compared to the Plaza de España, but it is quiet and not noisy. The hotel staff service is considerate, but the handsome guy I met when I checked in was rather cold. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel, which is very convenient. The overall evaluation is worth staying.

What a cute hotel. Although not as grandeur as the hotels in North America, this one has the necessary space and lighting for your stay to make you comfortable. It’s not a very busy hotel in comparison to those in the core strip of La Rambla, which can be trekked to and from within 40mins each way. The hotel location is ideal for visiting main central areas of Barcelona. It is in a relatively safe and lively neighbourhood near the Arena de Barcelona with walking distance to local restaurants, pubs and tapa tapa. The room is hardwood flooring throughout. Bed is nicely tugged in with a medium hard mattress decorated by three nice pillows of varying heights and softnesses. The room is dark when blinds are closed giving you that much needed rest. It’s in a quiet area and you will sleep well. You don’t hear much of your neighbour except when the toilet is flushed. The room has a small fridge tugged underneath a long table. Room includes free WI-FI with good internet speed. The bathroom is clean and is decorated with green ceramics marbles. Hotel provides shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush & toothpaste , comb, paper towels, shoe polisher and even a shaver. The shower head has great pressure and the drain in the tub is quick, leaving no staying water. My only complaint is the water dripping onto the floor when shower because the glass divider is not well sealed at the bottom. Get the breakfast option for your stay as it is well worth it and is excellent. The restaurant/breakfast area is very inviting and is in a spacious setting. You won’t feel crammed. It also has a very nice patio for the smokers or for those loving the outdoor heat. We would stay here again.

We stayed there for 4 nights on a family vacation. They are old apartments converted to a hotel. Very bare minimum facility. Checks off the boxes as far as beds, breakfast, proximity to city center, etc. But be warned that it lacks even basic comfort. 1. No A/C or heat!!! A family of 4 in a room with no air circulation can be stuffy. 2. The bathroom shower had no knob and no one changed it even though we complained. (See picture). We had to use all our might to pull the little screw to make the shower work. 3. No Shampoo. They told us to use the body gel instead so we had to go out and buy shampoo. 4. Breakfast was sub par and was being made in not so hygienic conditions. 5. Even though it says the hotel is close to city center, note that walking to Plaza Catalunya or La Ramblas is a good 30 minutes. Plus: The hotel staff were courteous and did help with taxi booking, local phone call etc.

We've just returned from a short stay at the Brick Hotel in Barcelona and I wish I had been able to read a review like this before I booked. I am easily pleased and truly, I do not have high expectations. Neither do I often write reviews, but I felt the need on this occasion. We booked a small double room. What we got was a closet room which was a triangle shape, the small double bed being at the wide end of the triangle. The bed was up against the wall so my wife had to climb over me to get out. The distance from my side of the bed to the wall was under 1 metre at the widest point. We were in Barcelona for a Motorhome exhibition, which was laughably apt as the room was smaller than the small motorhome we were interested in. If the room was super cheap maybe we could have justified it, but our 2 night stay in the middle of October came to 200€. We looked at the Breakfast but decided it was not worth the 10€ they were asking and we found a fantastic little cafe 50 metres left down the road called La Choza which did a great cooked breakfast (so many variations on the menu) for 7.50€ On the plus side, the gentleman at reception was both polite and helpful, no complaints there. So glad we weren't there any longer than 2 days.

I suppose it was the second time in absolute terms for me in a 2-star, the first was in Italy at the beginning of the year. It was not a great experience and I was therefore aware of it, but I had unfortunately little choice, it was the cheapest accommodation available on the dates I sought, but I was very impressively affected. The structure is very simple and basic, as in category, but it doesn't miss anything in cleaning and breakfast is also varied and provided in its small. The location is perfect: 100 metres from the entrance of the metro and not 10 minutes walk from Plaza de Espanya (1 stop only). The price-quality ratio was very negative, but Barcelona is a dear city and during my stay there was the Mercè party so probably also depended on that.

Good: Excellent location, clean Not good: as follows ~ 1. The room is separate from the bathroom, which is very inconvenient And there is no exhaust system in the bathroom If you smell, you must open the door in the toilet And open the window In order to solve the taste problem 2. To drink hot water, only go to the coffee machine in the lobby 3. Tried to meet the front desk at different times and nobody listened to the phone

I stayed here twice. Purely for it's proximity to a nearby hospital where I was getting some stuff done. First stay was just 2 nights. Not a lot to report. Things that stickout in my mind were the stained bathroom floor and being asked to pay the 2 euro city tax at checkout when it was already paid. She immedietely realised her mistake but I recommend just paying it at checkout to avoid any issue. Did not try the breakfast as I had to fast. My second stay was for 5 nights. Much the same as tthe first except that I tried the breakfasts. The bathroom still looked dated and crusty around the edges and also the entire floor floods each time you shower. For some general points. I find the place decent although I would get the same room in Thailand for 35 euro. Wifi fast and free. Room service... Theres a menu but it seems they order it through uber eats or something. Rooms - Generally ok. Decent size. Bed soft enough and big. Safe box. TV but with limited english channels. Bathrooms look tired but could mostly be fixed with a good scrub in the cracks. Apparently theres a swimming pool in the basement or something but I wasn't really interested. Breakfast buffet - Same everyday but no complaints. I looked forward to it everyday. The little chorizos were so tasty. The coffees and selection was all really great. The only thing I would change is add some more vegetable options. The stale hot vegetables is not very nice and could be more interesting. Location - Good if your here for the nearby hospital. Apart from that the area feels a little isolated. Theres a few eateries nearby but not really interesting. Discount - So after the first stay you get an email with a code for a discount next time. This combined with another discount on the website made it extremely cheap the 2nd trip (98 euro). Staff - Were all very nice generally. However regarding housekeeping they seemed to spend hours each day standing right near my door jabbering away. With a whole hotel to clean I don't know why they had to do this right by my door. Very annoying. Overall it was a good option for the area but given the price of using cabify (30euro for 15 min drives) I felt a bit isolated and the lack of food options was annoying however there is uber eats but all in spanish. I would stay again but if I didn't need to visit the hospital I would definitely choose somewhere more central.

Pros: Great location; beautiful, clean modern rooms; great coffee, lovely appointed kitchen that guests may use. Cons: Lack of communication; no sound proofing between rooms & halls; AC didn't work. I would not stay here again & therefore would not recommend this hotel. I’m still baffled as to the high ratings on this website and other travel websites. I’ll be wary to go by ratings again for accommodations I find on this website and other popular travel websites. 1) When we arrived there was no one available to let us in. The reception is open only from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Check in is at 3:00, no one was even available to leave luggage. It's extremely inconvenient. We wasted a lot of time the day of check-in. We sent multiple WhatsApp messages & could see that they had been received, but there were no responses even though I requested responses. A phone call ended in a hang up on their end. There was a sign on the door stating the hotel would be closed until after the day we had a reservation to check in. This was disconcerting (see photo). Someone should man the desk during normal business hours, 9-5. In speaking with other guests & even the hotel staff at another nearby accommodation, this is a frequent event. Other travelers there during our stay had a similar experience --- wasting a lot of time trying to check in or drop-off bags. 2) Temp control didn’t cool the room. The thermostats in the room don’t control the temperature in the rooms. We had left one of our keys, which work the outlets, plugged in the entire day. The room was still hot when we returned early evening. The owner suggested we leave the key in the outlet totally disregarding my comment that we had done exactly that — left one of the keys in the outlet all day. When we returned at midnight, the room was still hot & this was May. I cannot even imagine the inferno the room will be in the summer months. 3) There's minimal soundproofing. You can hear guests from other rooms and in the hallway.

If I did not receive an additional fee of more than one hundred euros after leaving the hotel, I would give a full score ... The additional cost of the child is calculated to 30 euros per night, plus a city construction tax of 7.6. I remember when I was at the front desk, I told I added 20 euros per night. Besides that, the experience was excellent. The location is excellent, the seaside, the British Palace and the Baroque House can be walked by. The rooms are equipped with ritual toiletries. The beds were particularly comfortable and the rooms were cleaned clean. Families with children (2 years and older) must choose a triple room in advance.

The Hostalin placed in the middle of the main streets of Barcelona named Passeg De Garcia. It is near all the famous fashion stores for those of you who look for Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Luis Vouton etc. Near by lots of restaurants - I recommend Bella Italia & Ciudad Conda. And in five minutes more or less you can reach the metro. It also placed exactly in the middle of Gaudi's well known buildings - Casa Balio & Casa Mila. The Hostalin has no breakfast or any other extra accessories so in case you are looking for a pool or launge that's not the place for you. Fit for those who wish to sleep and stay out of the room most of their vacation period. Price was decent compared to other hotels/hostels in the same area.

Stayed here for one night before getting on a cruise. We've been to Barcelona several times before and chose this Hotel because of it's great location. It's at one of the main roads with all the action. Only a 10' ride from the port and only a 10' walk from our most favourite place in town: Quimet & Quimet. So for us it has the perfect location. There's a bakery / coffee shop just around the corner as well and several mini-marts. The room was very nice. Modern, really clean and also very quiet. TV, aircon/heater, free WiFi and all the usual stuff. Had a very good night here, very comfy bed. We really have to point out that it's a very very clean place and for this price a great value. Front desk were really nice and friendly folks. A quick and easy check-in and check-out. Organised a taxi for us as well, very convenient and on time. It's great for a night before cruising or also for a city-trip. Becaus of the central location you can walk to many sights easily or the the subway, which is near. A great place to stay.

Me and my partner stayed at Auto Hogar as part of a trip to Barcelona in 2022. When we first arrived at the hotel we were very pleased with the overall cleanliness of the lobby and the helpful nature of the reception staff. Considering we speak very little Spanish or Catalan they were more than capable of running through the basics of scanning passports and making sure we had the correct details for the room. The rooms in question were better than average but not perfect, they seem to be fitting in at a ”Premier Inn” standard fitting of the 3* accreditation of the hotel. Our room had a locked down flat screen TV (You could not plug in your own USB or HDMI sources due to clearence behind the TV and even if you could the remote would not allow them to be used). Unfortunately our shower was leaky, it was a small leak but a bit annoying as it meant we had to wipe it up at the end of each shower, luckily the towels were replaced each day. The air-conditioning in the room was great, no complaints there however the fridge was a tad small and upon removing the various shelves we noticed it did have some yellow staining which in my opinion should have been cleaned before presenting the room, again not life threatening but also a bit less than I would have expected. When it comes to WiFi in the room we stayed in the second building (Which you walk through a indoor car park to get to) on the fourth floor which meant our signal was non-existent and if we did manage to connect it was at speeds between 0.2 - 2 Mbps. Again not a major issue but annoying. When it comes to staff at the hotel I have absolutely zero complaints, all staff who were interacted with were incredibly polite, happy, smiley and eager to deal with any major issues that were presented to them. In short, the hotel is not perfect and I know there are certainly more ”Lush” and luxurious places out there however it is by no means the worst hotel and it slots very nicely into its 3* category being cleaner than expected albeit with a few ”rough around the edges” aspects. The location of the hotel is also very convenient with it being just outside the Paral-lel metro station allowing for quick transport to the opposite ends of Barcelona and the center at the Placa Catalunya.

We drove into Barcelona and found the hotel perfectly thanks to Gmaps, driving into the carpark was quite amusing as the entrance/lobby area is also where the cars go through when entering the underground carpark. Staff were very friendly and welcomed our arrival. After showing us where we could park we made adventurous drive down two levels as prepared by other reviews.... it is tight but manageable. Staff were full of great advice and information at check in. Giving reassurance that absolutely nothing was too much trouble! The room was well sized and very clean. A huge bath in the centre of the room and plenty of toiletries that were refreshed daily. Thanks again for a great stay.

Everything we needed for a whirlwind break in Barcelona. Very central location close to the metro and near many attraction and good restaurants. Hotel amenities were fine and everything was very clean.
