Thank you Torsten and Gabi for your warm welcome for us! You did a beautiful job with the renovation and it was so nice talking to you! We enjoyed ourselves at your hotel so very much and next time we'll make it more than only one dinner. Big promise! For fellow travelers: If you're looking for a modern, action-packed hotel with the latest bling, this place will not be for you! But if you fancy a relaxed atmosphere combined with super friendly people that want to make your stay a nice one, then this might be your hotel. Check out the nice garden, too. Zari

I stayed here at Amalienburg for three nights in August, 2018. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are nicely arranged in some separate buildings. I had an upstairs room, and I thought it was very attractive and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure for my showers. The WiFi worked well. I was very comfortable in my guest room. This a is small hotel. From here it is about a one kilometer distance to the nearest S-train station (Obermenzing). That is your best way into the city of Munich, if you do not have your own car. Taxis do not normally come by this hotel, as it is not in a tourist or business area, but rather a residential area somewhat outside the core city. But the hotel is happy to call taxis for you. I wouldn't call this a suburban area, but as indicated above, it is outside the core or central city area. There are only two restaurants within reasonable walking distance, near the aforementioned S-train station. One is a Bavarian style restaurant with good food but spotty service; the other is a Greek place that was closed on holiday when I was here in August. There are two grocery stores nearby and a gas station that sells cold drinks and snacks. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel, but it is fairly limited in variety. Certainly not a big buffet; however, I had plenty to eat. Staff here did a lot to assist me, such as provide me with ideas of places to see in the city and the best ways to get to them. They did not have laundry service but still made arrangements for my laundry to be done. I sensed a lot of hospitality from these folks. If you stay here, just ensure that the location will work for you and what it is you are in Munich to do. The hotel itself is a comfortable place to rest and refresh, and you might save some euros by staying outside of central Munich.

We stayed at Harry's Home for a week. Overall it is good and it suits us very much for the "apartment style" and laundry service. However, if you would like to open the window to sleep at night, you might have to think twice because it is just next to the train station Moosach, where it is absolutely 24-hour non-stop, sounds like the train is going to crash into your room. Apart from the location problem mentioned above, we think the followings could be improved: 1. The laundry service We are staying just next to the laundry room, so it is absolutely convenient for us. We did the laundry twice and the 2nd time we were so annoyed that the staff had locked the laundry room while our clothes are still running inside (we put the alarm so we went there immediately when the laundry was done). The staff told us the laundry service is till 10pm only due to noise problem (lol the train is actually even noisier) which the previous days we never seen them lock the laundry room at all, and so as the day after. To be frank, it is fine that the laundry service is till 10pm. But the problem is Harry's Home did not align the rule and this is quite unfair to people. 2. Noise We are staying just next to the laundry room, and we identified that the root of the noise and disturbance is from the train station instead of the laundry machine. It would be great if Harry's Home could think about changing the policy because most of the travellers return after 9pm, 10pm service is a bit too early.

A nice and simple hotel,in strategical place (outside of the door is the end of metro line U3,the end of tram line 20,the end of many bus lines 50,ecc,and S Bahn station to Airport or Hauptbahnhof twenty city center or 35 to airport !!! ).Normal size rooms, good bed,no fridge ,and There are coffee-tea facilities.Only one elevator (the hotel is big) with problems. The air conditioning system is very poor for summer temperatures.I had a special and expensive room with balcony on top floor with big bathroom, but BE AWARE from this kind. All the external wall is from glass and is covered from curtains, but without any privacy ,because the outside place is open for all the same kind rooms,DIRTY and descent face. And the summer sun from early morning until 3pm ...transform the room in Hell. The night is impossible to have something open, because there are not windows (only glass wall) and the door must be closed for safety reasons. In few words,is like expensive and very warm prison !For the normal rooms the price is good. There is a shopping center less than 100 m.

From the front desk staff, to the clean and comfortable rooms this hotel was a gem. We visited for Oktoberfest, and while this place isn't close by, it is easily connected with the S or U-bahns as well as taxi/uber. Quick and easy. The rooms had comfortable beds, refrigerators (it's next to a grocery store!) kettles and the little heart lebkuchens were a sweet touch. One of our two rooms had a balcony too!

This was our 3rd visit to Laimer Hof and in the 4 years since we last visited found that nothing had really changed other than for the better. Its easily our favourite hotel in Munich and reading other reviews seems like others feel similarly. There is still the same genuine welcome and more importantly the same excellent service and attention to their guests. Sebastian and Alexandra and staff are the friendliest people and nothing is ever too much trouble. We sort of know our way around Munich well but we saw them giving help and advice on places to visit and transport to others (they can supply MVV tickets if required at reception). Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and clean and although we had a room on the top floor, we enjoyed the exercise up the stairs. We have always loved the relaxed breakfast room and good choice of items. Interestingly whilst we were staying, they were replacing the restaurant floor and we had breakfast very intimately in the lounge area for a couple of days but they managed to cope with this and carried on with the same level of service. Whilst some may prefer noisy and impersonal city centre accommodation, we love the area at Laimer Hof. It’s a peaceful residential neighbourhood with an added bonus of Nymphenburg parkland a three-minute walk away through a side gate. No place has better transport than Munich and you can get to the central areas quickly and efficiently including the main station on very frequent trams 16 and 17 a five-minute walk away. The trams also go directly to the back of the Viktualienmarkt and close to the Marienplatz. Five minutes further walk takes you to the S Bahn at Laim with direct S1 link to the airport. In addition, there are some excellent restaurants within easy walking distance including a lovely Italian about 100 metres away and a good supermarket opposite the tram stop. Oh and the hotel is also great value. Sadly, as we were leaving the first cases of the Coronavirus were being reported in Germany and little did we know at the time how quickly and fiercely it would spread. Unfortunately, the hotel like most establishments in the tourist industry have been hit hard by cancellations. We desperately hope the family can get through the coming months and this super hotel can survive and re-establish itself in the better days ahead. We really look forward to our next visit as soon as we hopefully can.

The hotel is off the outer beltway of Munich which is what we wanted. Staying in center city is too much when you have a vehicle since many city hotels don't have parking or charge a significant fee for parking. We've stayed in Munich before and this was just a day trip on our way to Italy, after a family reunion in Germany, to check out the Nymphenburg Castle (we love checking out old castles). The hotel very close to the castle and also close to the highway which was perfect. It also had free parking in their under ground parking lot. It is a small hotel, is clean and has a friendly staff. As with most Germany hotels, there is no air conditioning since it is typically not needed.

Nice and cosy little hotel in a quiet area but you can easily go to the city center by public transport -which is not far from the hotel. (Direct line tram 16 and 17 were perfect.). The hotel is well kept and what I saw on the website is what I got. Good choice of breakfast. Very helpful staff at the reception area from the very first day of the holiday (when we arrived a little bit early they made their best to accommodate us by preparing the room) until the last day of our holiday. Well done and thanks for making our stay a lovely experience.

Stayed here for 5 days between 20 to 24 June 2018 during my business trip to Munich. The place is located in a quiet area yet close to the Underground U station the Georg-Brauchle-Ring. The Hotel apartment is just a comfortable 6-7 minutes walk. You get the U1 or U7 to the main Station Haupt-Bahnhof a 10 minute ride and connect to all over to Munich including the S1 or S8 to the Munich Airport. The Flag rooms are quite large by Munich hotel standards and with most of the amenities including a fridge iron with Board a Safe and tea Kettle maker including a sink and warm Plates stove. Though on one day during my stay the house keeping missed out to clean my room No. 057, after I mentioned this to the kind lady at the reception it was taken care of the next day. The breakfast every morning is good and filling with a wide choice of Ham, Cheese, Fruits Tea/coffee vending machine , choice of breads and rolls and eggs as well. I really enjoyed my stay at The Flag as it was very professional and homely as well. Right next to the Apathotel is a lage Bakery and just down the road is a KFC.The reception and restaurant service was very nice and smiling at all times. Will definitely stay here again during the visit to Munich again.

This family-run hotel lies in Munich’s north-western district of Obermenzing, just a 3-minute walk from the lovely former hunting lodge, Schloss Blutenburg, and 30 minutes from Marienplatz square by public transport. The 3-star Hotel Neuner offers comfortable, modern rooms. A hearty breakfast, and wireless internet access are included in the room price.Relax in Hotel Neuner’s inviting conservatory, with views over the garden, and with panoramic windows that can be opened onto the terrace during warmer weather.Due to good transport links, leisurely sightseeing and shopping trips in Munich are only 30 minutes away. The bus stop for line 56 can be found directly outside the hotel, and this connects you to the S-Bahn (city rail) network.

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the subway station, and the main attractions can also be reached on foot. Check in check out is very fast. The apartment has a cooking place and the room is spacious. The breakfast is quite rich, and many local specialties can be eaten at breakfast. The breakfast is long enough for you to taste slowly. There is no air conditioning, there is no problem in the autumn season, and I don’t know it in the summer. The fan is quite powerful.

This is a very cost-effective European hotel, the same price, better than the Marriott next door. First of all, the location is very convenient. It is 300 meters on foot from the subway station. The Lufthansa Express Bus at the airport is also at the entrance of the subway station. It can be 10 Euros from here to the airport, 15 minutes. The room was very good, I stayed in a superior room, but the facilities were great and new. There is a capsule coffee machine, there is a glass bottle of water (with a gas without a gas), there are bathrobe slippers, the towel is very thick. The room is very soundproof and the curtains are perfect. Room attendants are well trained and not as cold as most hotels. Book breakfast at the front desk for 26 Euros at check-in, which is a few dollars cheaper than direct signing. There are many kinds of fruits, a lot of fruits, and a handsome little brother will make you an egg roll.

Tulip inn is one of the many trade show hotels around the Munich messe. Located about 4km from the fair ground in a typical (there’s nothing going on but offices) industrial area. Directly located at the 94 highway thus easy accessible. Reception is understaffed and checking/ checkout might take a while. Rooms are pretty basic but clean (no neighbors noise!) breakfast is not to extensive but provides hot food and the typical bread and Cereals. To sum it up, not a place where you want to spend time with a family but a descend business facinity

Just stayed here for a few nights with the family. We opted for two rooms but where double beds were expected the rooms had two single beds put together. The bathroom was very clean and the showers worked a treat. There were very large TVs in each room and the beds were comfortable. Each room had plenty of storage space and each had air conditioning. We opted not to have breakfast, because the hotel was situated about 100 yards from the train station, so we went there instead. Breakfast here was about 20 Euros a head so we walked to the station for fresh food. As you leave the hotel and walked through the passage to the road, you turned right and the train station was right in front, just across the road. Staff were very friendly, there was free wifi and lifts to the rooms. Overall it was a nice place to stay and it was extremely well sited for trains and trams in and out of the city. Would stay here again, if only because it was so well situated being effectively just across the road from the train station.

We came 2 hours earlier than the check in time but were told that our room were ready. Tobias welcomes us at the check in and he was really friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite new and about 8 minutes walk to the Station. It was quite fast to go to central Munich. Bed was comfortable and shower was good. Breakfast was a bit pricy at €19 per person per day, so we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel.

The location is excellent, but because of the recent construction near the Munich train station, the outside environment has a little impact, but the room is absolutely quiet and comfortable. We brought two children this time. There was no extra money for breakfast. The suites were arranged on the top floor and the scenery was beautiful. The rooms are fully equipped, all electronically controlled, very scientific and technological! PS: The hotel has a rich breakfast, especially the variety of fruits and high quality. There is also a bar that can make waffles by yourself. The children will make their own meals every day, especially happy.
