There is a beautiful pool but a bit small though. There is ba*****t parking. The room size is comfortable and the beds are comfortable. What's most amazing, this is the first hotel I've been to that has bolsters! There is a water cooler at the hallway where you can get cold and hot water. The location of the hotel is just around the Malay area and there are plenty of food stalls that you can sample from.

As for the hotel room, the bed is clean, comfortable and the space is large. There is very little dust, but there is less food to eat. Generally speaking, I will come back to this hotel again. Remember to take the card when parking.

|3.55km from city centerStayed there during a business trip for 2 nights. Super friendly check-in, even at 12 mid night. The counter staff, specifically Mohd Ashraf, is a delight and extremely knowledgeable. I found him to be courteous, professional and accomodating, even at very late at night, and still the only person at the counter. Discovered the Superior King room had no fridge and the shower gel container was empty when I checked in. Told Housekeeping and it took a day for them to find a mini fridge but they somehow failed to refill the shower gel container. Luckily, I brought my own shower gel. There was no centralised lighting switch in the room. Everything had to be switched on and off manually. The shower area was partially cleaned with dust trails all over the edges. The same with the toilet. And the same with the room. This told me the housekeeping staff only cleaned the most covenient areas and did not do a thorough job. But it was ok. The bed and pillow was super nice and the room was quiet even though it was facing the monorail Kota Damansara station. I also remembered to close the curtains for some privacy. It was a direct line of sight to this station and the main road. Even though the monorails were running, I could barely hear any noise. The two nights were very peaceful and I woke refreshed and ready. The wireless broadband in the room was very good and I conducted several video calls and two video conference sessions in the evening and at night. The table and chair was suited to my needs. Housekeeping also did not replenish my complimentary water bottles but again, it was only a slight inconvenient as the electric kettle was really useful. I had to remove the electic kettle from its box as the steam from the boiling water really fogged the upper glass kitchentop. Parking was super convenient. Totally loved the breakfast buffet. Had my business conversations and caught up with my business partner during breakfast. Breakfast ended at 10.30am but that is plenty of time. The kuih-muih or local pastry was beyond my expectation and very very very good. The miso soup was incredible and the staff actually knew how to do perfect half boiled eggs. Not hard boiled and not raw - served nicely on a tiny bowl. The chef would actually break the eggs into the bowl separately to make sure it was acceptable, then combined it into a single bowl. Perfect. I have stayed in many hotels and I am glad it was available at Royale Chulan Damansara. The salami and cheese choices were very very good and so is the assortment of curries and roti canai. Absolutely delicious. The only item not on par was the coffee machine.

|3.27km from city centerThe room is really clean and I like the shampoo / shower foam dispenser which encourages zero waste. There's a water dispenser (hot and cold water) on each floor too. The mattress and pillows are comfy too. However, for old people, it might not be suitable as there are no bed frames, just mattresses on the floor and the step up to the washroom is quite high. And there are no lifts. One has to climb up the stairs to go to one's room. For young people, this is a good budget hotel which gives you value for money.

But unfortunately I have something to say with their newly launched parking payment system after my recent visit. First of all, it is already bad to require their guests who drive to pay for parking fee during their stay in the hotel. And despite providing a flat rate of RM3.00 to their guest, none of the staff has taken initiative to inform until being asked ( neither does the payment notice as indicated in my attached photos has shown any clue about that) . Even after being asked, they failed to provide clear instruction on the way to redeem, and eventually I had to pay extra for the parking fees due to the lack of notification and instruction.

Bed sheets were messy. Did not proceed to enter said room. - Unfriendly staff did not apologise for the situation and proceeded to check-in another room for us. - Entered another room. Pillows and bed sheets were stained. Room was obviously not cleaned properly as we could still literally smell the odour left behind from previous customers - whatever they were doing as the hotel has a 3-hourly rate for RM50 which we later discovered. - Did not proceed to stay for the night and decided to book another place nearby.

|3km from city centerStayed here a couple of times for proximity to One Utama shopping mall (MYR7-15 by GRAB) because the hotel there is expensive. Not sure why people would otherwise stay in Damansara since there are budget hotels in the city as well. Plenty of amenities within walking distance such as cafes, bars, local coffeeshops. Two fantastic speakeasies are in the same row (Hyde and 61 Monarchy). Nearby street parking is free, but difficult to find especially weekend nights when it is peak period at the bars and cafes. The cheapest room is around MYR70 (+ MYR10 if you are a foreign visitor)- no windows and just enough space for a bed and table. Sheets are stained but smell clean. Typical of such budget hotels, there is no separate compartment for shower so the water floods the entire bathroom (my pet peeve!!!). Drainage can be poor depending on your luck. No shelves to put any toiletries so you need to bring a toiletry bag or basket with a hook for your stuff. Only liquid soap provided in a mineral water bottle (mega weird). No stairs to get to the rooms.

This is a duplex unit and we liked the stay here except a few highlights, car parking lot is a maze and the location to go down the ramp is not clear for first time visitors. There is fridge, washing machine, hangers, shampoos, toilet papers etc The TV has a tvbox for us to login our own Netflix account or use the youtube. The air cond can be noisy at night it may disturb light sleepers. Overall recommend to stay because of the location and the unit itself is huge.

Simple breakfast was included such as scrambled eggs, mushroom omelette and roti canai set. They even had toast, jam and butter. However, I would prefer if the bathroom had shower curtain or glass sliding door. Else, the floor would always be wet due to water spillover once someone showered. Anyway, this hotel is recommended since it is nearby to shopping mall such as 1Utama, The Curve and IKEA.

|2.97km from city centerAsked for late check 5pm out cos we checked in at 1am, e-mail replied saying no problem. but ended up charged us 141rm for late checkout saying they say no problem but didn’t say no need to pay. Asked to speak with the manager, the poor recept called someone (i assume the boss) but boss didn’t want to speak with us. we left the room for medical appointment at alpha since 10am and we hired an alphard to drive us from sin to kl (2d1n) and back so we could have easily loaded the 1 piece of luggage we had if we knew they are going to charge us. Details: checked in 19th sep past 12 midnight and left hotel at 19th sep 10am leaving only one piece of luggage in the room nothing else. came back to check out at 430pm. Booked a family room with two queen beds for myself, wife, son and a queen room for my helper. location wise the strand mall has nothing open, the mall is 98% unoccupied but it is convenient if you’re visiting alpha ivf as it’s walking distance.

They showed non respect attitude, they don't care about the case and they 100% don't want to be responsible. After stay I went to hospital, doctor said it was because I used unclean towel. It was very severs, so I can only ask sick leave for 1 week from work. Because the attitude and responds I got from hotel, this time I asked booking.com help me to go and negotiate for me, but the booking get the same answer, the hotel don's not possible to open the door. 3. Extremely low cost performance! The price I paid doesn't equals the room and service I get. Strongly don't recommend!!!!! 1. The towels and quilt sheets of the hotel were not clean and I developed a red rash after the first night of my stay. I tried to communicate with the staff and their supervisors on this matter when I checked out. I didn't mean to pay for it, I meant to say it, but the attitude they gave me from their staff and supervisors was that they didn't care what happened after I checked in, and they didn't want to take any responsibility. After the trip I went to the hospital and the doctor replied after the diagnosis that it was caused by the use of the hotel's dirty towels. Because the rash was so bad, I was able to ask for a week's sick leave and it had a very big impact on my work. After the doctor's diagnosis, I communicated directly with the hotel before, and the hotel gave a disrespectful attitude. This time I let booking.com come forward to help me communicate this thing. The result was the same. The hotel was completely irresponsible. I said that it would strengthen health management. I was very disappointed with this sense of responsibility and hygiene of their hotel staff. 2. The room was very, very small. Even if you bring the boarding box, you can't open the door when you open the boarding box. 3. Very low cost performance! Highly not recommended!!!

|5.28km from city centerPerfect Host and Greystone have their own check in counter (both had rented units at the ground floor as their lobby)..It was a straightforward lobby, nothing special. For check in purpose, everything was all right. I got my keys to my unit within 10 minutes upon registration. Maybe it was on a Sunday, so it was not crowded, only me there checking in. Paid a deposit of RM100 and got my keys to my unit. Actually the building itself consist of shopping complex, retail units and also a hotel previously..so the room that were offered by Perfect Host and Greystone is actually a hotel room. I did not explore the building but it is not as lively as before when I visited before in 2017. There is a MyNews at the ground floor near to the lobby, so it was convenient to get some essentials if u need. There are also a pub, Victoria Station restaurant also..and some other food outlet but limited choices. The corridor of the hotel room need some housekeeping (can c that it was not cleaned for some time), but the room inside was fantastic clean and comfortable. So it was a surprise for me as outside the hotel corridor and inside the room there is a whole lot of difference. Trust me, the room is the same as the picture in Trip.com. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower gel and shampoo smells good too. For room, I have no complaint.It exceed my initial expectation (after reading some reviews), but the outside corridor of the room really need some cleaning. Some of the negative review about this place is the parking. Yup, it is actually an issue but sometimes not everything is perfect, but I don't blame the host as they are only running an AIRBNB concept, so for me is acceptable as the rate im paying per night (RM63 Nett), is still ok for me. For parking wise, it really depends on when u r checking in..if is on a Sunday or Saturday, there would be ample parking within the ground floor. If is on a weekdays, then it might be full. But dont worry there is basement parking as well. The rate is calculated RM12 per entry per day for the parking at the ground floor (same level as the lobby) and this comes to RM24 for 2 days provided if you are not leaving the hotel. If it is at the basement, then it goes by the hour (you need to do your own calculation whether is most cost worthy to park, how many hours u r gonna park there). Other than that, for me at the rate I am paying and also quality of the room (minus the parking issue and cleaniness of the corridor), I would give this place the thumbs up. Good stay for me, but of course this is only my personal opinion as a reference.I would rate this place 4 out of 5 star.

|3.11km from city centerI stayed a few times in this hotel few years back, and it was a good experience. But this time, when I booked the single room and came to check in, the reception said the room was fully booked and that if I wanted the room I need to add more for another type of room.
My problem was the access card that they gave me cant be used to open the door. They need to use their main key to open the room. Not safe for me .
Inside the room no water heater.
The room is cleaned and the bed is comfy.
