I can tell the owners of this hotel are trying to make this place great. To brighten up our small ground floor room, they added a chandelier. There is a metallic gold (vinyl) table cloth on the table, feather pillows on the bed, and a tea kettle. They have provided a mini fridge, hand soap, shampoo, and 2 bath towels. But the room was so old and stark that the chandelier made it look worse somehow. I think they just haven't renovated our particular room yet. The main issue was that the room was not clean. We could feel grit under our feet when we took our shoes off at the door. When we arrived, the corners of the room were dirty and had accumulated a few feathers from the feather pillows. The bottom grout edges in the shower are dark or black which looks dirty (even if it isn't). We don't need much in a hotel room and we often stay at efficiency or budget places, but this one was just too dumpy for us. sorry. It is common in Europe for a full-size or king-size bed to be 2 smaller beds pushed together. That's not a problem, but we had to keep pushing them back together for some reason. The mattresses were also uncomfortable. They were so fluffy on top that we sank down to the bottom to feel a very hard bed-frame. We did appreciate that the location was convenient to the bus stop and that the building was very quiet at night.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Christmas dinner was wonderful. The other meals were fine but not outstanding, esp. given the price. The best was the breakfast. A wide range of food and plenty of time to eat at much as you wanted. Housekeeping was good, but not great at replacing the caffeine-free tea (I reported that to the front desk so know it will get better). This is a converted convent so it's not super handicap friendly. I tripped over door sills all the time because every door had to be stepped over. The stairs are crazy narrow and weird and take a bit to get used to. The elevator helps. But it was in a good neighborhood (working with a large Muslim community) and an easy walk from the city center. Grocery stores nearby and our kids even got their hair cut down the street. We'd stay here again if we couldn't be in the city center.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for only one night. We were asked to pay immediately even before we could see the room. The room actually looked quite nice at the beginning, but the appearance was deceptive: there was a kitchen no-one needs, the bed was VERY soft (which we hate), we could not fully open the window, the chairs were old and unstable, the ceiling looked terrible and the worst: the bathroom was EXTREMELY small. The toilette-area was so tight, I could not fit in and even my wife, who is thin and not too tall, had problems using it. Going back to reception and asking for a refund, we were NOT given back our money. So we didn’t even have the chance to look for another hotel. So we slept there the night. My wife slept kind-of well, but I could not sleep at all - mostly because the room was too hot. There was a thermostat at which you should have been able to change temperature, but that didn’t help. And since the window could not have been opened completely, temperature did not go down. I hate sleeping warm. Another problem was the parking. The hotel offered us to park for 15 Euros (!!!) per night on their hotel parking space. And when we refused and noted, we had found another parking place outside, we were told, that “children drive around on bikes at night and brake car windows for fun”. We didn’t believe it, since it sounded like a made-up story for us to use their expensive parking site - but we didn’t want to take a chance. In the morning we checked and - oh wonder - no car was damaged. I consider this as a cheap trick to lure foreigners like us into using the hotel’s expensive parking places and - of course - for them to make more money. I can only assume the hotel is not making enough of it. Also the problem we had with the room (and the toilette) we tried to resolve by asking for a free parking space, but it was denied, eventually. They didn’t even excuse. They just offered us to see the Manager in the morning at 8 am. But we needed sleep instead so we refused. In conclusion it was a unpleasant experience. I can only advise people NOT to choose this hotel, but I cannot recommend any other one, yet.

We have enjoyed our stay so much! Lovely hotel and the staff went above and beyond! We had a reservation at the nearest bowling alley but there was an issue there. The front office manager called them and had it solved easily which was very pleasant and eventually we had a great night. The beds were great and we've loved the pillows! The breakfast was really good, we've ordered eggs and had them served the way we've wanted them. My husband went to the gym and he needed nothing more than the hotel provided for. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, especially because it is in walking distance from the city center. Utrecht is a great place and is easily accessible, a lot of people go to Amsterdam but Utrecht is so much nicer!

So coool!!! I loved being surrounded by locals enjoying the food & free WiFi in the dining hall. Bunk had such a great ambiance, comfy bed, divine food. We wanted to explore Utrecht so we stayed there and loved having the old town a short walk away. Plus so many great restaurants and shops! Even if you hate department stores, check out de Bijenkorf. It’s what Barney’s NY was in its prime. Plus the locals are all so friendly and helpful. Probably because everyone rides bikes everywhere, which is proven to foster happiness. I rented a BUNK bike to go a bit further and it was a dream to ride in Utrecht. Amsterdam airport is only 2 or 3 stops away on a very fast train, of which one of those stops was Amsterdam. So accessible no wonder all the Dutchies I’d met on previous visits to Amsterdam prefer to live in Utrecht. If you can, book a stay the last wknd of the month to hear the divine antique organ! I wish we could’ve heard it!

We selected this hotel for its central location near both station and city center but more importantly for the room with both spa and sauna. The room located at the 7th floor was indeed comfortable and spacious with nice views on the city although it’s not the best nor the most beautiful part... Good bed too. A few minor points for improvement: most of the lights can either all be on or off and (as in most hotels) there isn’t enough space to leave your towels to dry. Breakfast wasn’t anything special but acceptable. The hotel draws mostly younger tourists it seems. Worth recommending also due to good price/quality ratio.

Spent here a weekend after Corona regulations have been eased in the country. The room was clean, tidy and spacious, the bed was comfortable. Location is excellent, right next to the train station, still the room is quiet with no outside noise coming in. Staff is extremely competent, friendly and helpful, they addressed all of my inquiries promptly. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, social distancing was handled smoothly. All in all, I can absolutely recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to come back in the future

I was in Utrecht for one night for a business meeting the next day. I'm glad I booked Mary K, and my room, the Royal Rooftop, as it was both roomy and cozy at the same time! I suggest having a look on the website and then inquiring about a specific room if you have a preference, to see if it is available. So nice to avoid the box hotels on a business trip when possible. I got in right at the end of the check-in period but was greeted warmly and was provided dinner suggestions and ample information (there is a lot of info in the room as well). I didn't have to carry my bags up or down the steep steps, which was great. It would be good to have a new hairdryer in this room, as it died quite quickly. Utrecht is worth a visit for pleasure, and when I return I will book Mary K again. Utrecht is a great place to experience Netherlands bicycle culture!

Before we arrived in the UK the staff called us 10 in the evening to check if we were coming, I am sure there are other times to call. I asked if it was busy, they responded with no. When we arrived early in the morning they fortunately let us check in early but sadly didn’t get a double bed but two singles, since it was quiet I expected the double beds. The room was alright. I really missed a mini fridge to store our milk since you could coffee and tea in the room yourself but no milk.. The TV was a pain to work with and since we were tired we just wanted to zone out but found that the remote was not working, even when they replaced it, it was a pain to navigate the TV but that’s just poor TV choice. The temperature was difficult to get it right. On 19 degrees it was freezing and at 21 it was boiling. For the rest the location is amazing and for that you can’t expect the best I think. Everyone was dead nice and there was opportunity to use hand sanitisers and there were screens at the reception separating the staff and guests. However, for a romantic couples weekend away I wouldn’t book this again, it just doesn’t have the luxury and quality we were hoping for.

i had a very enjoyable stay here at New Year. The hotel was quite busy, but was very comfortable and, being next to the station, was very easy to reach. It is accessible through the Hoog Catherine Shopping Centre. Despite being near the station and the Mall, it is very restful and quiet. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and TV with a wide selection of channels. The free breakfast was very good indeed. You can have basically any kind of breakfast you wish as a buffet. There's plenty of room and plenty of items available. The breakfast room is the bar during the rest of the day. It wasn't too busy, but friendly and with a range of drinks to suit most people. You can order pizza in the evening if you wish and watch TV. The staff were excellent from the Front Desk through the breakfast staff and chamber staff. This hotel is a really great base for exploring Utrecht and

Accommodation in Utrecht is rather expensive for travelers from Poland. With my budget restrictions resulting from the international project I had to choose a place to stay up to 90 euros per day. At the same time I have my preferences such as: own room and private bathroom, good wifi, location in the city center. i have never stayed in a typical hostel and I am travelling a lot. This hostel was one of the best options among those offered by booking.com. To sum up, I am rather positive with my first-ever-hostel-experience - I got my own room (6 beds :)), private bath, wifi, breakfast included. Breakfast corresponds to what we may have in 2/3-star hotels, simple, but tasty and fresh. The personnel was very friendly - I could check-in earlier on a day of my arrival. Only issue that worries me is the fact that this hostel offers rooms with no windows, this is really strange, how you can stay in a room with no window??? I was given a room with no window and I was not informed about it in advance while booking my room. I asked for another room to stay and fortunately, I got one. so please be more specific during booking procedure if the room you offer has or not a window.

I loved the simple and modern design as well as their concept “Don’t turn a blind eye to the environment”. They have adapted the concept into their design which is really cool! You will see decorations using glass and eye art etc Staff was very nice and welcoming! It was also clean but I think we should do a summer clean / deep clean at some point! It looked clean but there were dust (maybe even a spider net) under the floor lamp and bed side table legs! I wasn’t really looking there until I dropped my phone. Otherwise it looked clean and fresh! :)

This Hotel is nothing short or excellent on all levels. Very clean, tidy and comfortable throughout. Staff all very efficient, polite, friendly and very helpful. Food in the retaurant was exeptional and service in the bar very good. Couple all that with the onsite Bowling and there is no need to go anywhere else in the evening. Thank you all for a fantastic stay
