On first arrival it was a bit confusing as there wasn’t a clear sign to say we had arrived. After the owner finally met us, we went up the four flights through an Apartment block to a clean and well looked after apartment with four bedrooms. A warning that the check in is a bit confusing and when asked when we were checking out the next day, we asked if we could leave bags until 3pm which the owners agreed to but then proceeded to message me the whole of the next day saying check out was at 11.30! Google translate obviously had not made this clear for either party. Location wise it is perfect, near shops and restaurants and a short walk to the funicular. However, do bring ear plugs. The neighbours above kept us awake all night with moving furniture, we did try to speak to them but no one would answer door. Overall value for money was good, I think a few changes to check in and communication would make it better as I felt quite stressed using what’s app to communicate whilst on holiday. FromUS$95.00

We have been to Italy several times but decided this time to explore the Adriatic coast from Bologna to Lecce and then head across to Napoli for Capodanno (New Years Eve). We could not have been any more fortunate and rewarded than to stay our four nights at Weekend a Napoli with Paolo and Patrizia. One of the things we planned on doing during our four night stay in Naples was to go to Herculaneum. We messaged Paolo regarding some logistics and he gave us a phone call us before we even left Seattle! When we arrived for an early check-in Paolo & Patrizia and their staff were waiting curbside with a warm welcome. They helped us with our luggage, gave us directions to the airport to drop our rental car and arranged a taxi to meet us and bring us back to their place. They have a charming residence with a handful of well-appointed rooms in a gated property that has been in the family for 100 years in the hilltop enclave of Vomero, a short walk to the Castel Sant’Elmo. The interior has a warm elegant feel to the rooms and the sitting areas. There is a strong tradition in Napoli of the Presepe or the Christmas nativity scene and related dioramas. Paolo is an artist that has been creating these for many years and their rooms have many wonderful dioramas enclosed in glass museum cases in the walls. Amazing! There is a wonderful old farmers market just down the street and many stores, restaurants and shopping throughout the adjacent avenues. There is easy access to transportation to all the other areas of Naples. Because it was almost the New Year 2020, the streets were filled with throngs of people for the Christmas markets and holiday festivities. So much fun especially the people watching! Paolo and Patrizia spent a lot of time orienting us to Naples in the surrounding neighborhood. They graciously booked restaurants for dinner each evening and suggested and made reservations at nearby restaurant for a great multi-course evening for the Cenone di Capodanno. It was great to be able to spend time conversing with them to get an insight into the people and culture of Napoli. They both were so warm and generous with their time. Loved our stay at Weekend a Napoli and loved the city of Naples! We will be back.FromUS$158.00

We arrived early and hoped to be able to leave our luggage and start exploring Naples. The staff said no problem, come and have a coffee and snack before you go. They then helped with some directions, marked locations on a map and off we went to explore and find some lunch. There is a large shopping area and many restuarants less than a block away. There is a metro stop at the corner and the funicolares to the old part of the city are two or three blocks away (there are two of them close by). It's easy to get down to the older and port areas of the city using the funicolares. On our second day the staff booked a cab for us (five in total) to get to Pompeii. The cab waited at Pompeii and brought us back directly to the hotel. It wasn't cheap but much faster and easier than taking transit and train. They also booked a cab for our very early departure to the airport. We had two rooms for our family and they were both very nice. Our room featured a vaulted ceiling painted with birds and stars. The bathroom had a large tub and shower unit with multiple showerhead settings. The room was very comfortably furnished and spotless. The second room we booked had a courtyard view and the bathroom had a walk-in shower with "mood lighting". The location is excellent with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby and we'll definitely consider staying there again should we be in Naples in the future.FromUS$80.00

We were both delighted with the Residenza Scarlatti: its location just off a busy modern tree-lined shopping street close to the metro and funicular; the B and B was very clean and appeared to be recently renovated, spotless in fact; the small terrace where we could relax outside; the help yourself breakfast and the helpful staff. The street outside can be noisy so we tended to sleep with the window closed to lessen the noise. Also, as we arrived quite late there was no staff present which we eventually realised, so had to phone to ask what to do. We were given instructions immediately to get access. There was a safe and fridge in our room both of which were very useful. Close by to the B and B are excellent pizza restaurants and an ice cream shop. A great and safe place to stay in Naples and we would recommend. FromUS$77.00

Naples is a busy city and this place is a hidden gem where you can have a quiet night without any noise from the streets. We, 2 adults and 2 little kids (3y + 8m) stayed at Procida apartment and it had all we needed, a functional kitchen, nice bedroom and all necessary in the bath. And all was new and clean. Reaching the place was easy from the central train station with Line 1 we arrived directly to piazza medaglie d'oro and from there on foot just few minutes. We found the location also very strategic since we managed to visit all parts of the city because vomero has few funicolare connections to the historical center and to the part that looks at the see + the metro. We left the apartment early in the morning, 6am, to go to the airport and the taxi took less than 15 min. Next time we come to Naples again this will be the firs place to check in :)SOLD OUT

Situated in the posh Vomero section of Napoli in a classic neighborhood building with security. The hotel and surrounding areas offer commanding views of the bay, Vesuvius, and the city below. Great shopping, restaurants, a market are in close proximity. There is quick and easy access to public transportation to take you anywhere in the city and/or to the islands. The rooms are well appointed, very clean, and cool. The staff was delightful and very responsive to our every need. A full breakfast (Italian style) is served daily for the perfect start to your day. This lovely B&B fully deserves the 5/5 that it has on Trip Advisor! My husband and I had a 3 night stay for our anniversary. Firstly Alessandro, the host, was incredibly helpful & very quick at replying to messages. We were arriving on a late flight so he arranged for someone to pick us up which was worth doing as it was night & we hadn't had chance to get our bearings. The driver was very friendly & we felt very safe. A really lovely lady and gentleman were waiting for us at the doors of the building when we arrived (despite us being delayed & arriving after midnight!) & we received a really welcoming greeting; they were genuinely pleased to meet us. The decor was very modern & well designed - we stayed in the king room which was comfortable, looked great & had a lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath & window through to the bedroom (toilet is separate!). There was a lovely little balcony. Everything was very clean; breakfast was lovely, particularly the orange squeezer for delicious fresh orange every morning. Also, the location is perfect for a stay in Naples. The main part of Naples is quite run down but Vomero & Chiaia are both really nice. Vomero is a good shopping area & has lots of restaurants & cafes. The people at the B&B recommended 'Trattoria Caprese' which is just around the corner; it isn't really a romantic restaurant but has a great atmosphere, is very popular with the locals and has friendly staff and really good food. Chez Anna isn't far from the Vanvitelli metro station and so it is easy to travel all over Naples. A couple of tips from us: - Vesuvius & Pompeii are both fantastic if you are interested in the volcano & archaeology. There is absolutely no need to pay approx. 80 euros for a trip!! We took the metro to Naples Central Station (€1,10 each), got on the Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii (the train carries on to Sorrento) (€3,10) & then caught the public bus (EavBus) opposite the train station (€2,80) to Vesuvius where you pay €10 each to walk up to the top. Pompeii was €15 each. All in all, much cheaper than the trips. - Getting back to the airport is also easy and much cheaper than a taxi. Line 1 of the metro to the Central train station & then go to the bus stop 'Alibus' which is opposite the entrance to the metro. The bus comes every 20 mins & the journey takes about 15-20 mins. - Castel dell 'Ovo is a nice place to visit for free. You can't see it all but it has some great views (& currently has a great photo exhibition that is also free). It's fun to use the funicular to get there & that was much quieter than the metro whenever we used it. Quite a large review but hopefully helpful to potential visitors. We will hopefully return to Naples one day and if we do it will certainly be to Chez Anna.FromUS$89.00

This B & B is tucked away on a quiet street in the Vomero district in Naples. We had a difficult time finding the B & B even with google maps but we eventually found it after contacting Amedeo. Upon exiting the B & B and walking up a flight of steps to Via Francesco Cilea, you are surrounded by the sights and sounds of Naples. Everything you need is close by (food, banks, metro, stores etc). Walking down Via Francesco Cilea you will eventually find a pedestrian area and a piazza. The B & B itself is perfect, the room was nice and the bathroom/shower was beautiful. It was a good home base while we traveled Naples and surroundings areas. The outside court area was a nice but could use some work. I expect with the warm weather it would be hard to keep grass healthy. Having a Jacuzzi for those long days was perfect and relaxing. The Jacuzzi enclosure helped keep the bugs away for the most part but its starting to show a bit of wear. The host Amedeo was excellent, when ever I had a question he was quick to respond, through Whatsapp He transported us to the central train station for a reasonable fee, it was appreciated since we traveled with young children and didn't want to take the metro there. I guess the only thing we didn't understand was the breakfast part of the B & B. In North America breakfast is part of the cost of the B & B, even if its just coffee, fruit or baked goods. I believe there was an added cost for breakfast but we decided not to eat there and went to the local cafe shops. Just make sure you discuss this with Amedeo. When looking at the amenities pool means Jacuzzi, there is no swimming pool.FromUS$131.00

On a nice quiet street, But close to main attractions. Room 104 had 2 balconies one from bedroom and one from bathroom offering great views of city and sea, and on clear day you can see Capri. Friendly breakfast host called Salvatore took us on tour to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius at a reasonable price. Room had mini fridge and air con that we was thankful for as weather was hot and humid. The only negative thing us the reception is not manned we had to check out by 9.30am as we had flight booked and had joined one to hand keys too so had to leave them at desk otherwise we don't know how long we would of had to wait around. Hotel Guiren is a perfect place to stay in Napels if your just looking for somewhere to lay your head for the night. If you are going out exploring then this hotel is very suitable. The room had great air conditioning unit and a good working shower. The double bed was two single beds put together, and was not comfortable but done what we needed. The bathroom consisting of a shower cubical, sink, toilet and bidet.Considering we had a balcony onlooking the main road,which is extrememly noisy when the doors were closed it was surprisingly very quiet. Hotel guiren is about 3 minute walk to train,metro and bus stations.The staff that we met were all very friendly and gave information on places to visit and how to get there. However as per the website,there is no bar and no lift. Many reviews we read before we went to Napels were saying how terrible the hotel was, but we actually found it fine. And as for the area,well Napels is a beautiful city.Yes there is a lot of grafitti everywhere.Yes it is dirty. And yes there are alot of migrants. But they caused no problem and were either polite upon speaking or kept themselves to themselves. If you are looking to visit Napels you must look past the dirt and grafitti as it has so much going for it. So many beautiful historic places...Pompii, Herculaneum, Archeological museum, Mount Vesuvius, San Severro chapel, Bourbon tunnels, Royal palace and so much more. We had an amazing holiday,so be open minded and enjoy the beautiful city of Napels

The location is very good, opposite the egg castle and the sea, the breakfast is completely sea view, blowing the sea breeze, feeling great! The breakfast was quite rich, and the cup of Italian condensed was a bit amazing, and I never liked to drink coffee. Although Napoli's construction of the whole city is quite old, it feels good. Because I went to Capri Island to return to the ticket time, I missed the hotel that was temporarily set back to the Rome train. The friend recommended it, said the global chain, because the ship arrived at the shore near ten o'clock at night, so there is no sea view room. The only bad episode was to take a taxi to the hotel at night. The driver received 20 Euros and 10 Euros. If the hotel was in the daytime, the hotel would only be 15 Euros. The German husband of the friend said that it was a tip at night. explained. 🙄

The absolute best thing about B&B Hotel Napoli is its location – no more than 5 minutes’ walk from Naples Central Station (and the Alibus stop for the airport bus) and about 10-15 minutes’ walk to the historic centre. As other reviewers have pointed out, in addition to the convenient location, B&B Hotel Napoli is great value and offers everything a traveller needs: friendly 24-hour reception, clean, well-maintained rooms, secure keypad entry, good air-conditioning, fast wifi, in-room safe, nice hot shower, comfortable bed etc. I also liked the contemporary décor and the high ceiling, which made my room feel spacious. I did not pay for the hotel breakfast as there were plenty of eateries, cafes and pastry shops nearby and of course in the historic centre. For a good coffee and even better sfogliatella, I highly recommend “Cuori di Sfogliatella”, which faces the train station. I am grateful that some reviewers had expressed their concern regarding the “seediness” of the neighbourhood, which was helpful advice to solo female travellers. I agree that the piazza did not feel safe, especially at night, so I was glad to see uniformed police officers patrolling the area. There is also police presence inside the train station. Just exercise the usual precautions and you will be fine. The one major downside was the poor soundproofing. Even though my second-floor room faced the courtyard (no piazza view for me) and I did not hear any street noise, I was woken up at the crack of dawn by the guest in the next room. I could clearly hear him/her flushing the toilet, using the hairdryer etc. So, if you’re after a restful night’s sleep, it might be a good idea to ask the front desk for a soundproofed room. Also a note to those who travel with large suitcases: the hotel lift is small and slow and gets full quickly during rush hour i.e. breakfast time.

I booked a triple room even though I was alone because I didn't want my room to be tiny. for me as a solo traveler the room size was O.K. but I'm not sure how 3 people could feel in this room which is not generous size. the position is perfectly fine, about 3 minutes walk from the Alibus stop and the main train station. also porta nolana can be reached easily by foot from the hotel. the breakfast was reasonable, typical continental breakfast in a 3 stars hotel in Europa. the Wifi speed was fast and the signal quite strong. The heating in the room worked well. some drawbacks: no electric kettle in the room and no minibar. I recommend to bring a small electric kittle from home if you go there. only one standard european socket in the room, the rest can be used only for thin plugs. all in all my stay was ok, taking in account the drawbacks mentioned above.

It is the second time in Naples and it is a repeater of this hotel.
As expected, it is the best at a star hotel.
The location is very close to Naples Central Station.
I arrived in Naples at 22:00, but I felt safe with the shortest travel distance even with a suitcase.
The rooms are clean, the beds are especially comfortable and you can easily oversleep.
Bathroom is luxurious using marble. Water pressure is enough.
Breakfast is also rich and delicious, and eats too much from morning. Sfogliatella in the photo was also delicious.
We had you call taxi after check-out, but came immediately.
This hotel is a favorite in Naples.

I have been staying at the Grand Hotel Parker’s for a week for a business trips with little windows of time dedicated to sightseeing Bella Napoli. Wow! What a truly memorable experience. The hotel is one of those places that is the perfect blend of stately, timeless elegance with impeccable service. Dining at the Michelin starred George restaurant is an absolute must with mouthwatering dishes with a magical Neapolitan twist. My room with spectacular sea views was super comfortable and reminiscent of the grandeur of yesteryear. Great breakfast buffet and flawless service and the Liberty Restaurant with original period features transports you back in time. Great food and I really loved the wine which is directly from the wine cellars of the owners . And the views ...magnificent to say the very least. After a busy day I really appreciated the oasis of calm of the hotel which is in a great location, within walking distance of Naples’ best but far enough away to recharge your batteries from the delightful hustle and bustle that is the historic Centre of Napoli. The best part of my trip was undoubtedly the staff here : a perfect mix of professionalism and Neapolitan hospitality and heart. I would highly recommend the concierge service: Marco and Vincenzo are without a doubt the best concierges I have ever met. A personalized trip around Naples escorted by the elegant, knowledgeable concierges who make you feel like absolute royalty is something that I will remember forever...I can’t wait to come back.
