Stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. There are many hotels around Khan Castle, but I decided here by judging that the cost performance is the best from the distance and price to the tourist spot. The facilities are small 々 old, but there is a feeling of cleanliness. Daily cleaning was also good. Breakfast was served at +7 euro / day (see photo). This was neither good nor bad. I think that people who want to eat breakfast and various things during their stay can eat outside the hotel. The staff responded in English. We talked about Japanese manga animation during breakfast! The staff was very polite and comfortable. It was a hotel that I would like to use when I go to Khan again!

The Hotel has three stars outside but I assume this relates to the sister Mercure hotel that is next door but part of the same building. The room we had was meant to be a twin but in all honesty it was more like a single room. Storage is very limited and the bathroom was very tired and dated looking. The Hotel bar shuts early and may not open at all so you may struggle for a nightcap if one takes your fancy. The good points of the hotel are the underground parking that they have (make sure you book it) and the breakfast was great, the lady who looks after the breakfasts is really helpful. Location wise the Hotel is a good central location and most places are a walk. Comparing it to the premier inn we stayed at in the UK en-route, the premier inn was miles better and 40 pounds cheaper per night.

The location is good for exploring the town - that’s the best thing about this hotel. Very basic room. We stayed for two night and had booked a room for three. There was no where enough room for three suicases so it was really cramped. The beds were comfortable. There was a kettle and cups for coffee and green tea (only green tea!!). The bathroom was clean but with no fan, the moist stayed on the mirror for a very long time. No aircondition, so we had to sleep with an open window - and it was really noisy outside. We were woken up by people shouting several times at the middle of the night, and the sweeper cars cleaning the streets made a lot of noise at about 5:30… We booked through ********** where the information told us there was parking near by at an reduced price when staying at the hotel. This was not true. It was public parking on the streets where you had to buy a new ticket every two hours from 09:30 to 19:00. Not at all practical and turned out to be rather expensive compare to other places. The elevator was tiny. Just room for one person and a suitcase - and the stops were between floors, so you had to carry your luggage one staircase up or down anyhow.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome at this hotel. The hotel has car parking under the property and the person on the front desk ( apologies I can't remember her name) was very helpful in guiding us into the car park and even carried some of our luggage up to the reception area. The rooms are very comfortable and very quiet, the breakfast was fresh with many options to choose from. There was a very helpful gentleman at reception who , on several occasions, was kind enough to book a couple of restaurants for us. Even when he was very busy. The only small issue we had with our room was the temperature of the heating, it was a little too warm for us. When I asked about this at reception I was told the the air conditioning is turned off in September and I fan would be brought up to the room. The fan never arrived, however we were compensated for this when we checked out of the hotel. Try the restaurant Beouf and Cow, it's fantastic and only a short walk from the hotel Overall the Best Western Plus Hotel Moderne is a very comfortable, quiet and centrally located hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you are visiting Caen.

LOCATION: On the Place de la République, it was with within easy walking distance of major sights: Abbaye aux Hommes and Hôtel de Ville in one direction, Abbaye aux Dames and the Château, the remnants of Guillaume le Conquérant's (William the Conqueror's) and his missus, Mathilde, fortified bolthole, in the other. Bayeux is just a 20 minute train ride away and not to be missed: the amazing tapestry is still delighting the masses with its story after a thousand years and nearby is one of the most elegant Gothic cathedrals in Europe. ROOM: The large de luxe room with two sets of French windows onto a small balcony overlooking the Place de la République was extremely comfortable. Large bathroom with plenty of room for toiletries. SERVICE: Amiable and smiling throughout with welcoming, knowledgable reception staff. BREAKFAST: Included in the de luxe room rate I'd opted for and good value. France is a carnivore's paradise but as a vegetarian, I was well satisfied with the selection of summer fruits and cheeses.

If you ventured to Caen, there’s a nice hotel near the Gare (Train Station), that’s perfect for travelers. The hotel is clean, the staff is hospitable and friendly. We stayed here for one night on route through France. On first glance the hotel is contemporary and thoughtfully decorated. The staff speak good English and were welcoming. We were on the second floor and our room had limited head space due to the eves. The bathroom is open plan with a separate toilet that was so high our toes only just reached the floor! The bed was very comfortable and the aircon welcome on a summers night. However our shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold - no happy medium, making it unusable. We reported it to reception but weren’t offered an alternative room and the promised visit from maintenance didn’t materialise. There was no reduction in our bill to reflect this. Breakfast was €18 per person and a typical (but fairly limited) continental set up. There was a self service egg boiler but no option for omelettes or poached eggs offered. In hindsight a croissant and coffee at a local Boulanger would have been a much better and cheaper option. Caen is a lovely town and we’d like to come back for longer, but we won’t return to this hotel.

Good hotel, gentle staff. It is located in a quite central area. My room was a single, quite small but clean, but it was very special to have a bathroom shower in the bedroom, so who used the water had no great privacy. I don't know if it's just a characteristic of individuals, because I was traveling only so I didn't have any needs for privacy Breakfast was good, all in the good average.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel afin de visiter les côtes normandes. Hôtel bien situé, calme : nous avions une chambre côté cour. Les chambres sont très petites, impossibilité de laisser les fenêtres ouvertes car elles ne sont pas oscillo-battantes. Finalement, heureusement que le temps était maussade, nous n’avons pas souffert de la chaleur ! Salle de bain également très petite : la lunette fermée des WC sert d’appui pour mettre la trousse de toilette… Petit déjeuner basic : il est tjs dommage de ne pas trouver de produits régionaux. Le pain est industriel, tout comme les viennoiseries.

I think that the hotel is in a great location, however the surrounding area is very loud and not too great. The street side area is a bit creepy at night with a lot of men just hanging out outside the hotel door area. We actually got locked out of our room and they gave us a new key without any request to show any identification... which was a bit strange. The check in was fast, and it is a good deal for the price. You get what you pay for.

Spent one night at Sejours & Affaires Caen after visiting astonishing Etretat and before heading to D-Day Beaches. Our room was large (basically a flat complete with kitchenette), very clean and recently renovated. Inexpensive rates, excellent value for money. Would stay here again. My most heartfelt suggestion for a meal in Caen: have your lunch/dinner at L'Embroche (feel free to check my review if interested). Simply amazing!

It is not in the center of the town, on the high-speed side, but the place in Caen is not big. It takes 5 minutes to drive to the pedestrian street. Free parking, one big bed plus one sofa bed (can sleep two children)

A small hotel with a family friendly atmosphere. Calmly, neatly. For traveling through small Normandy cities, a very suitable location. A waiting and bus station, city transport in step-by-step availability. Staff is exceptionally welcome. There is a cafe on the first floor. You can take the dining appliances if necessary. Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast continental.Cruassan for breakfast air, just melted in the mouth. It was able to settle before the scheduled time. There is no elevator, but the staff will help lift the suitcase.

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. It's a manifest flight. The first night the hotel hosted a school group, forced to ask the calm by calling the reception at 22H children cried and ran into the corridors. At 5,50 euros a breakfast, you will find only frugality, no choice and low range products. The staff is very sympathetic but the experience is unacceptable. At the end of your stay you are offered a note to be settled with half of the already settled invoice ... Traveling a lot with my company is the most experience The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable.
