The gym was fantastic to have and the pool. Kettle and fridge in the rooms. Located very near to the city Centre of Kandy. Really worth the reasonable price! Really personal touch…much appreciated! Would totally recommend!

|28.82km from city centerThe small resort is somewhat hidden in the middle of the tea plantations near Nawalapitiya. It can be reached by taxi in 4 hours from Bandaranaike Airport. Room/Bungalow The spacious bungalows are furnished in a colonial style. We moved into a very clean bungalow. You have to be aware that the resort is in the middle of nature and that little visitors can get lost in the bungalow through small gaps (e.g. under doors) over the course of the days and nights. We didn't see any dangerous animals, so it didn't bother us. There is no daily room service. At night you can watch fireflies through the large window, and in the morning you can be woken up by monkeys or squirrels on the roof. We liked this as well as the magnificent view from the large panoramic window into the green valley. Food As vegetarians, we really appreciated the local cuisine of Sri Lanka. Activities Requested trips to Adams Peak and several waterfalls were organized and realized by tuk-tuk ;-). At afternoon tea we were introduced to the new luxury house tent prototype that is still under construction. The tea factory spontaneously gave us a private tour and sells fantastic tea. Lovers will get their money's worth. General manager, chef and their team were very hospitable and responded to our wishes. What does the addition “& Spa” stand for? There is a pool but it seems very neglected. We would come back at any time.

|0.6km from city centerOverall it's good, the view of the lake outside the window is beautiful. The location is easy to find, although it is also on the mountain, but the road conditions have improved. Rich breakfast and good service.
Needs improvement: The lobby is old and even a little shabby. There is a primary school under the window, and the drums and trumpets start to sound at around six o'clock. If you see a monkey by the window in the morning, you should close the window in time. There is dirt on the sink that has not been cleaned for a long time.

The hotel landscape has been occupied by big trees and beautiful flowers that offer guests relax and peaceful atmosphere. The main building where lobby and dining room situated is in a colonial style, classy decorated and well-maintained. The room which I stayed for couple nights was beautiful, well-equipped, clean and with balcony that overlooked beautiful mountain view and clear blue sky. Breakfast was yummy and good quality. Services were incredible and reliable. Staffs were very attention to details and professional. I felt truly relax and happy while staying at this hotel and do hope to come back again.

|0.5km from city centerThe hotel with a sense of history, especially the elevator, is a bit interesting. It is very close to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Kangxi Lake. It takes about 5 minutes to walk. It is not convenient to park at the entrance. We have a breakfast and dinner, and things are quite rich. It is quite satisfactory to eat along the way in Sri Lanka. The hotel staff is also very nice, and the quiet room is so the view outside the window is poor.

advantage:
1. Built on a hill, in a small courtyard, the environment is good. Especially after comparing it with another one on the mountain, I felt even more so.
2. The restaurant is on the side of the mountain, overlooking the mountains. Nice common areas like living room. There is also an area with a wide variety of wines.
3. The front desk brother is more service conscious and will ask you if you want to have dinner, etc. Of course, this is an additional charge.
Slot point:
1. Pick-up or meal, I did n’t tell me the charges and expenses in advance, they are calculated together at the check-out, but many items are charged.
2. The room is small and tide. There is no hot water in the bathroom and the shower is difficult to use. There are no sheets but blankets. I also see dirt on the small towel.
3. Some behavior of the front desk brother is already considered harassment

We were able to walk to the temple of tooth, eat out and shop within seconds from the hotel. The staff were all so lovely, looking after our train tickets, swapping notes for lower amounts and Manjuia and his team went out their way to make a beautiful bedroom set up for our honeymoon. The power went out and within minutes a generator was on which was fantastic. The room was a great size with a balcony and very clean. The only negative and it’s not the hotels fault was the noise from outside during the night. There was a queue of people waiting for fuel outside the hotel so it was noisy through the night. If your looking for a good base in Kandy, look no further.

Especially the dinner is just New Year's Eve, the New Year's Eve dinner of the Lankan family in the exotic country, there is no flavor, a very satisfactory stay.

|1.63km from city centerRooms were of poor standard (we were shown 3 before we had to choose one or have nowhere to sleep) - bathroom was tiny and bath looked old and tired - and it was extremely slippery. The male hotel receptionist was not helpful when we told him that the room was not what we expected for the amount of money we had paid and he just kept saying you'll need to contract your travel agent. We'd been touring Sri Lanka and had stayed a many hotels during the tour that were meant to be of a similar standard, but sadly this place was lacking. There a very tiny pool, that we did not go in. The only saving grace for this hotel is the food, which we really enjoyed and the restaurant staff were extremely attentive. We contacted our travel agent to get us moved to the original booked hotel (Grand Kandyan) on the second night and much preferred our final stay in Kandy. Just as were were leaving a very kind lady showed us to a beautiful room and said we could have that on our second night if we would like to stay. If all rooms were like that, we would not have had such an issue.... but sadly they don't show you the poor rooms on their website. What a shame that it turned out like this as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and it certainly put a damper on things.

Its a beautiful colonial house. 10 mins max Tuk-tuk ride from the Tooth temple and Kandy, up a hill with an outstanding view overlooking Kandy, peaceful and quiet. there are only a 6 rooms and we stayed in the lemongrass deluxe room which was large and a huge spacious bathroom which was beautiful extremely comfortable beds The customer service is exceptional and attentive and especially Nihal and Indika the chef. Food was delicious, small menu however offers everything you want and outstanding breakfast which is prepared to order , best breakfast we had, the chef will do anything for you. All our meals were at a private table in the garden. We would highly recommend this we are aged 50-60 bracket.

All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful and kind. The bed was big and comfortable, the AC worked well and the water was nice and hot. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony, reading our books in the morning, watching the sun rise. Amazing views. It was perfect for what we needed and excellent value for money. Cons Some ants in the room. But most places in Sri Lanka so far, we’ve had a similar experiences. Overall, would recommend to family and friends and would stay again. Thank you

|1.38km from city center.The hotel is beautiful..located just around a 10 minute walk along the lake from Temple of the Tooth basically out of the hotel and turn right and keep walking and you cannot miss it! The staff we think went completely above and beyond for us on our stay.. We got scammed down at the market and when we told the Manager /Owner he was clearly upset that this had happened to us in Kandy. He helped us out by ringing the police etc. Also the restaurant man Neval also was lovely and friendly and even came to see if we were OK when he saw us on his way home in town! All staff are fantastic and a credit to the hotel. The hotel itself is just gorgeous.. Very well decorated. Our room was very luxurious. A massive bed looking out to the lake which was the most comfortable bed we have slept in whilst we have been here. The views from our huge verandah attached are spectacular also. We had a delicious breakfast also..fresh fruit.. Fresh juice.. Toast..omelette.. Cakes and jams and fresh tea. Gorgeous. If we are ever in Kandy again we will definitely be back! Thank you to all staff for helping us and making our stay so much more memorable.

|11.76km from city centerWe spent seven nights here and used it as a base to see the central part of Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful villa overlooking Lake Victoria. The breeze passes through the house making it a very cool place to rest and relax. The rooms are large and comfortable with everything you may need. The staff is ever obliging and willing to accomodate most requests. The Sri Lankan and English breakfast are good with excellent fruit platters and freshly squeezed juices. The dinners are not gourmet if you don’t choose the local food but are absolutely fine. The Sri Lankan food though is excellent. The pool is beautifully clean and a welcome spot to spend some time. It is not licensed so BYO wine. They provide glasses and a fridge to chill it should you need it. Perfectly feasible to visit the tea plantations, the spice growing area, Kandy itself etc from here and have the luxury of coming back to the same bed. It is run by two delightful men and a chef who do all they can to make you feel at home. Highly recommended.

In the morning, wake up in the wonderful howl of birds, a viewing room in a mountain village near Kandy, Sri Lanka, which is clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. The owner of this house is hospitable, kind, and hardworking, capable, and tasteful. Seeing the family photos of her family, she has three children, her eldest son, who has graduated from college in Australia, the second child is a daughter, 21 years old, working as a clerk in Kangdi, and the third is a son. I'm in school.
At 5:45 in the morning, through the window, I heard the rain in the mountains. The rain stopped soon, and then there was a crisp bird song, a woodpecker sound, some unknown squeak, occasional dog barking, etc. I couldn't wait to get dressed and run to the balcony. On the balcony, look out over the white Kondi city
Looking back is close to the natural mountains and green trees, feel the fresh air, the stars in the distance, through the lights of the leaves.

|1.32km from city centerWhen I opened the room, there was a musty smell. Since it was a view room with a curtain wall on the exterior, the windows could not be opened. The air conditioner had to be turned on at full power for half an hour before the musty smell gradually dissipated.
The location is not far from the top of the mountain, far away from Kandy Lake, and the lake cannot be seen from the rooftop observation deck. The facilities are okay, the service attitude is okay, and the food tastes great.
Overall not recommended.

They have a nice, clean swimming pool with plenty of monkeys to watch the evening as they walk around your balcony, looking for handouts or pickings. In the morning, you can see them walking elephants down the street in front of the hotel.
