Since the budget of our company is limited, I stay this time in SEL Nibash. It is cheap, and as a three stars hotel, we cannot expect much. There is hot water and air conditioner. So, if you just think how to sleep, this hotel is totally acceptable.

The Hotel Shuktara markets itself as a luxury business budget hotel, which is a very apt description. While applying for my visa on arrival, the officials insisted on keeping my printed hotel reservation, so make sure to print it twice! Even without the hardcopy, I had no problem checking in, and was warmly received. My room was modern & looked nice, with funky blue lights. It featured a sitting area, a minibar and sufficient closet space. The bathroom was small, but functional. The biggest drawback was the WiFi, which didn't work most of the time. Even when it did work, it was excruciatingly slow and basically unusable. I quickly resorted to buying a local SIM card. Even without WiFi, the Hotel Skuktara offers great value for money.

I might give it 1 star but for its location and attitude of stuff I gave another hit. Well, Location is great for its accessibility and plenty of public transport for any part of Dhaka. The stuff will welcome you with smile. Why other 3 stars disappears: Room is not good for night stay. Room is not clean at all and if you non smoker it is hard to breath for smoky smell. If you have dust allergy, please stay out of it. Perhaps its been rented for hourly use and boarder make fun here. Intoxicated guests make noise at night and authority don't take action even after complain many times as they are paid for it. Wifi was really slow I had to use my mobile data instead. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone because I am not going to book this hotel again.

I have always loved Best Western La Vinci hotel and I have been coming here since 2009 when I was actually living in Dhaka. The service has always been great and the bartender Mr Lawrence will be great missed. My wife and I enjoyed the live music there and the food in the restaurant was superb! Mr Javid Islam at The La Villa restraint was a superb waiter as he was very friendly and highly approachable, he has mastered certain basic aspects of hospitality that most experienced people in Dhaka still have not managed to capture. The Chicken Chili IS THE BEST DISH in Dhaka city! I always order this dish and it always transcendent ! My wife ordered the steak and it was not of good quality as it was very tough and had little to no flavour. She ended up sharing my dish which is and was always of the highest quality. Keep up the good work guys and we will see you all very soon!

Firstly, I would probably give 3.5 but not 4 stars. Too many downsides for an "excellent" rating but a reasonable place to stay. The hotel is located down a very narrow, roughly surfaced but busy street. One of my major complaints is that it is in an area where it isn't possible to walk to anything that is of interest unless you want to buy a car - and then you can find showrooms selling virtually any car brand you could wish for. The area was very noisy and the hotel seemed to have insufficient sound proofing to dampen it down. There was an election in progress which may explain some of the very, very loud marching crowds but I suspect the area is always a bit noisy and some of the sounds indicated that there was a late nighty disco/club nearby. Those things aside this is a reasonably good hotel. Unfortunately, there were renovations in progress so only 1 of the 2 lifts was working meaning that there was often a prolonged wait. The sleeping rooms had a good queen beds, a couple of armchairs and a desk. There was a kettle with one(!) teabag, empty mini fridge and a safe. I stayed in 2 different but similar rooms with slightly different configurations in the bathrooms. Both had modern bathrooms with walk-in showers and in both cases the water ran cold in the middle of even a very quick shower. January is winter in Bangladesh and surprisingly chilly meaning that a cold water shower is very unwelcome and also the complete lack of heating in the rooms meant that I went to bed wearing thermals which I fortunately had from an earlier stop in Russia. The hotel has a spa, gym and pool that I didn't use. The breakfast buffet was excellent although there seemed to be some things lost in translation when asking for cooked to order eggs. The wifi didn't work in my second room but the hotel worked on it immediately that I complained and a stable connection was quickly established. The final grumble was at check out when the front desk could not provide exact change for cash payments on the two separate occasions. Not good enough for a hotel that is pitching itself as international standard. I would not stay at the Sky City Hotel again but mainly because I like walk places and would be looking for a hotel in a more interesting locale.

I stayed at Midori by Lakeshore for 3 nights this January 2020 and much enjoyed my stay and hospitality extended to me. The staffs were friendly (specially Mr Nur who was much helpful during my check-in and checkout). The room 805 was sufficiently spacious and clean with a city view balcony. One can access free Netflix on TV. Restroom came with all basic amenities one would look for. The General Manager personally ensured the guests are put up well. A perfect destination for a solo traveler like me. It is located right at Gulsan-2, a walking distance away from the shopping area, restaurants and foreign embassies. Location is a plus point as it is situated at Dhaka's safest area. One can find pool of public transportation like rickshaws, local CNGs as well as Uber so commute to and from hotel is absolutely hassle-free. The restaurant is cozy, hygienic and overlooks a beautiful lake. What more could one ask for! PS.they serve amazing breakfast with shots of fresh juices to detox your body! Stayed at Four Points for 3 days as part of an official trip. The room, bathroom and linen were reasonably clean though I felt at times if the linen or towels had been reused as I would often notice a hair or two on fresh towels and bed linen. Even the cups in the room were a bit unclean from old stains. On the contrary the experience with the restaurant staff was great. They were quite friendly and helpful. As I am a vegetarian I did not have many options at the menu but the waiters and the cooks were quite accommodating to get me vegetarian dishes on demand. Particularly one waiter named Habib was extremely helpful and hospitable. The reception staff was also quite helpful.

Hi this is Melvin, I travelled from Uk around 2 weeks back, stayed at a different hotel close to the airport, for some reasons I didn’t like the place where I checked in at the beginning!! Then I looked over few hotels on the OTA, and found this hotel, and matched my budget!! This hotel was recently reopened after almost an year, it was closed when the pandemic hit the world!! I had to stay 12 nights due to quarantine, but didn’t feel for 1s, like I stayed in any jail!! The rooms are well organised, decent sizes, beds are cozy, basic amenities are provided everyday!! Best part of the hotel is there food, it’s very very delicious and most importantly very fresh!! They have a very nice newly renovated bar/pub located at level 16 (top floor), drinks are quite reasonable!! Staffs are very well mannered!! Sure going to visit this place on my next visit!! Returning back Coxs bazar after 10 days my next reservation is surely going to be this place!! Cheers Guys!! Keep it Up😀😀😀

The Best Western Plus Maple Leaf went beyond the normal level of service for my wife and myself. The Check-in desk manager used our names the first morning, after only seeing us for a short time the night before. The Breakfast Service Manager was polite and thoughtful without being overbearing. The lady in charge of the Coffee Lounge ensured our latte was "just right". The Cleaning staff did a wonderful job of looking after our room and the entire hotel. The Manger of the Rooftop Bar and Grill showed us what service was all about and the Chef offered to assist us with anything special. My wife also had a manicure and pedicure which she said were both very good. Any faults? No. A car was available for hire. It was added safety and not overly expensive. As for COVID-19 awareness, I have been in three countries since March 2020. The Best Western Plus Maple Leaf leads the way in COVID-19 safety measures compared to all the other places we have stayed. All this happened with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of professionalism. Will I stay again? Most certainly.

Special thanks to Rakib (Manager) & Raihan (Sales) who made sure my 7 days at HANSA was like my home. Well done to all of them. I would highly recommend people to try this place. You are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff the moment you step in. The pleasant experience continues throughout the stay. After traveling for one year, this stop came to Bangladesh. Dhaka. When I read the guide on the Internet, I learned that there is this Chinese Home Hotel. I was immediately excited and booked immediately. I feel a little hometown in a foreign country. The hotel includes the airport Pick-up and transportation is convenient. Mr. Hotel butler has greeted us at the door when we arrived. He warmly took us into the room, introduced the use of room facilities in Chinese, and told us some practical information around. The great thing is, of course, the value-for-money service of the hotel, including three meals a day, delicious and delicious dishes (much better than the street food outside, mainly clean and rest assured), and attentive laundry services, I put my clothes in the basket in the doorway in the morning and washed them in the afternoon to put them back together. It really moved me to cry. And the hotel owner helped us, booked train tickets for us, recommended interesting places around, almost answer all the questions, please accept my sincere thanks! I have been to so many places, I feel very lucky at this stop. Although this is not the most upscale hotel in the local area, it must be the happiest hotel, and it feels like home. I'm always tired on the road, always feel satisfied, and I feel that the world is beautiful (I didn't like to write reviews, but I still want to recommend this hotel to friends who come later)

They also helped us very much in getting train tickets last minute! The restaurant was also quite good with reasonable prices. The chef was very friendly. Hotel is on a very dusty broken road. Toilets are disgusting and dark. Rooms are ok but have fridges and air conditioners that probably were bought in 1950. WiFi is terrible. Had to be moved from one room to another due to lack of reception. There’s a balcony, however balcony looks like it’s not been cleaned in the last 50 years. Food was given, for lunch and dinner..... it was the same menu 🙄. No change at all. Just reheated the excess food. The worst thing is..... MOSQUITOS!!!!! The place is so dirty of course there will be mosquitos. They don’t have the bed nets and you will definitely get bitten through the night. Positive side ONLY..... is the staff. Amazing helpful staff. They will do what they can even though it may not be much. They are lovely bunch of lads. The manager has a close eye on their daily work activities but clearly fails to see ALL THE OTHER ISSUES! Stay away if you want to sleep and go to the toilet in a hotel and eat different food and want to use food internet and be in a clean environment! One last thing, I’ve been to two rooms which have balcony doors. They both have a space between the door and the frame. Causing dust mosquito and draft to come through.

I travelled for business to Dhaka in 2019 and stayed in the Raintree Hotel for a few nights. The hotel is nice and located in the peaceful part of the Gulshan area, but is very near to all the good restaurants and shops of the area. One can walk up to the "Gulshan morh" in 10 minutes and can visit different restaurants by walking for 5-7 minutes. The hotel's breakfast options are quite good and organized. It has a small gym too. The rooms are pretty spacious and well appointed, with ample space to relax as well as to work. The service is good too. The prices are a bit expensive but that's probably partly justified because of its location.

I just returned from a 3-night stay in Dhaka. The tour operator who planned my itinerary suggested I stay at Rigs Inn, and it was a great choice. Rigs Inn offers good value for money; a nice, safe location conveniently-located between the airport and old town; and extremely friendly and helpful staff. I was given a very spacious corner room that was in good condition, reasonably well-appointed, and clean. There were two small negatives related to my stay that keep me from awarding 5 stars. First, the restaurant was a bit uneven. I had two dinners there; the first night ordering Indian food, which was quite bland and unexciting. Soft drinks were served warmish, despite being taken from a refrigerator. The second night I had Tandoori Chicken and it was excellent. Second, the wifi reception in the room was "acceptable," but not strong. It kept going in and out, but I was able to get needed work done. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it as a great place to stay for people who don't want splurge for the 5-star, international hotels in town but still want a nice, clean, friendly place to stay.

I stayed here 7 nights across 3 different stays. Only 4 KM from airport. Was welcomed warmly every time by Zaman at reception as well as early morning receptionists. I could leave my bag at the hotel while taking road-trips to places of interest as well as to Cox's Bazar. The best part was Newton, the restaurant manager. Meeting him felt like meeting a long-lost friend. He helped arrange a private car for five days for a very reasonable price as well as organized early morning breakfasts for each day I had to leave early. Room was nice and spacious and had a mini-freeze. Decor is dated and does need upgrades but come here for the staff and service, not for luxury. I will certainly stay here when in Dhaka.
