I was going to stay in room 229 for four nights (Monday, August 29th - Friday, July 2nd), to attend SIGGRAPH in 2019, but ending up leaving early - not even sleeping there one night. The older man at the front desk was courteous, nice, and helpful with getting the WiFi password. He gave me the option of choosing rooms between an older building and a newer one, where there was not hot water at the time (but that was temporary, due to some maintenance going on) and nicer rooms. I went with the newer building lacking warm water (for a day) and having nicer rooms. Room 229 looked as the hotel advertises online, and like the photographs of other online reviews. The room was clean, the bed made, no stains in the microwave, and the bathroom had fresh toilet paper in a matte paper wrap. I settled in, putting my items down, and went out to eat. Coming back is when alert arose. Not too long after returning (quite soon rather), I was sitting at a chair next to the bed, charging my phone, when a knock was heard. I called out ”hello?” and no one answered. There was more knocking and more hellos from me, but still, no response. I went up to the door from the inside and asked who was there, calling my sister was I headed to the door, as the felling was not right - one ready for 911. A man claimed to be looking for a ”Kyle,” and I informed the man that there was no Kyle there, especially not I (female). He wanted to come inside the room, then claiming that ”Kyle's” phone number was inside the room, presumably written down. Told the man that there was no such number in the room, that it was clean when I got there. Also suggested that he go ask the front desk about this ”Kyle,” letting him know that I was not comfortable letting him in the room. He would not go to the front desk and claimed that he understood that I was not comfortable letting him in the room, but was still insisting on coming in. It was difficult to get a good look at him through the peep hole. It sounded like there was someone else with him. He and they sounded mumbled in a quick talk, like acknowledging my stance and essentially giving up, leaving. Maybe they did not truly leave, but stayed in the shadows or at a distance, away from evident sight. After the incident, I texted and called friends about it, also the front desk. The worker who picked up stated that they would check it out, but I did not dare open the door and check to see if they actually did. I waited for a trusted friend to pick me up and ended up staying with her at the Sheraton Grand in downtown LA instead - much more secure. It was dark out, but less frightening when help came. I called Expedia, whom the stay was booked with, about the incident on the 29th and got an email on the 30th, in the AM, that they were still in the process of contacting the manager about getting a refund. Called Expedia the next day, the 31st, and was told that a full refund was going to be issued. Proceeded to drop off the key at the hotel, but the n

The first time was in March 2015, and this year was the third time in March, the room that was previously booked. Like to live here is the price is acceptable, the room is large and the transportation is convenient. The overall feeling is higher than in 2015, and flat-panel TVs have replaced old-fashioned TVs. The sheets were previously colored, and now the white color gives a clean feeling. It is convenient to arrange a smoking room with a refrigerator, microwave and hot water bottle. The exhaust fan of the bathroom is loud, and the antique air conditioner has a loud sound. The boss is still the boss who is very enthusiastic. The price has risen from 2015, there is no way, the US hotel price is expensive. Convenient transportation around, there are buses nearby, 720 buses are available, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the west lake (West Lake) subway station. There is a ROSS shop next to the hotel, but you need to go out and bypass the hotel to get to ROSS. ROSS is a discount store, many Americans come here to Taobao.

The area is slightly seedy but the hotel was quiet - 2 night stay. Rug was stained and a repair in teh bathtub was poorly grouted, but otherwise fine. Breakfast was satisfactory ... nothing hot except a waffle that had to be made by staff. Could have had some donuts, bagels, etc. Price was good compared to other places in the area. Hotel is open to potential street people but was oky when I was there.

Breakfast is good, there are fruits to eat, savory cakes to eat, hot water to drink. It's a little far from the city center. It takes more than 20 minutes to walk, which is already good in Los Angeles.

The hotel belongs to the type of motorbike hotel, the location is the biggest highlight, walk to the city bus station 5, 6 minutes. Hotel facilities are relatively old, enough to sleep as a journey. Other facilities are basically not available. The hotel (hotel) below 1000 yuan in Los Angeles is basically this condition. In short, the hotel facilities are basically in line with this price.

Room was noisy from street traffic as it was on the street side. It was probably the last room left so even though we wanted one bed, we got two doubles. We barely found parking space each day so recommend you get there early to park, as parking is limited.

We arrived at the hotel and were immediately greeted with a grim sight. A dark, damp and unwelcoming environment. The staff were helpful however. A few minutes later a man wearing tatty and ripped sweatpants and sweatshirt appeared with no shoes on and left the hotel, a minute later he returned to the hotel with what can only be described as a gigilo. The two men then preceded upstairs. We got our room keys and when we asked for 2 more we received them. Soon after we approached the stairs and we took one step on the staircase and heard a man clearly intoxicated, by some heavy drugs, moan and groan. We decided to not take the stairs. We went to the lift and as a group decided we didn’t want to stay in a halfway house filled with junkies and male **********s. We soon after got an Uber and left. We were a group of 3 mature men who felt genuinely intimidated, endangered and unsafe in this hotel lobby. To anyone even remotely thinking about staying in the Stuart Hotel I strongly advise you to not to and hope you’ll explore other options.

It was a Great Hotel, the location is great, very well connected to subway, lots of restaurant and fast-food around. The rooms and the facility is great, especially the 7th floor pool deck the staff there are very friendly, room is very comfortable and spacious, clean, have all amenities I needed, including the slippers which I used for the pool side. Some of the receptionist are very friendly, courteous especially the girl who extended my checkout time and the gentlemen Manny they made me feel home, also the concierge gentleman, I am from Asia and you definitely need people like them to make you comfortable. on the other had there were some receptionist who don't even want to smile, a smile cost nothing, it is because of these couple of them that the hotel might not get the guest back. Over all I will for sure come back again and there is no need for me to stay in other places, i use to stay in sheraton grand, but now I recommend this hotel and also myself will stay here again for sure. When it comes to hotels, we adopt the mentality that it’s a place to rest your head in between exploring new places... The Seahorse Inn motel was perfect for this, and if you like to travel like us.. I would absolutely recommend. . The room was spacious, and would be worth 5* rating on Trip Advisor for a 2* property if it wasn’t for the air con. The room got quite hot both in the day and evening as the (air con system was quite small and underpowered for the space. The host and staff were friendly, there is a decent amount of car parking on site, it’s easy to find, and 20 minutes walk (yes - walk) from both Hermosa and Manhattan beaches... we stayed for 3 comfortable nights, and aside from struggling to work out how to use the shower initially, had a very comfortable stay. Other reviews rate the Mexican restaurant next door but having spent a week in Mexico prior to heading to California, we were all good for Mexican food, but the Mongolian BBQ opposite, and Panda Express up the road are walkable and very good cheap eats. Would stay again 😊

I've stayed at this location multiple times for Cal Poly Pomona activities. Walking distance to many stores and fast food type restaurants. I. E. Ikea, Walmart, Target, Sprouts, Dicks, Marshalls, Ulta, In and Out, Chipotle, Hawaiian BBQ, AkiPoki etc. Not the closest hotel to Cal Poly Pomona but can easily get to/from the college. Have stayed in multiple room types (double, king, king executive) over the last year. It's a little older hotel that could use some fixes/touch ups in the bathrooms but overall comfortable and clean. Microwave and mini fridge was very useful for us. Latest visit, the shower head should be replaced. Lots of water pressure but spray wasn't adjustable. This trip was short but have spent a week in an Executive King. The sitting area (sofa/TV) is between where the bed is and the bathroom. If you get up alot during the night I suggest packing a night light for the bathroom. Also, recommend requesting a room away from freeway if freeway traffic will bother you. Noticed it more the first night and not so much after. Hotel staff always friendly and helpful. Front desk, housekeeping and dining area all very professional and welcoming. Did not get room cleaned but housekeeping did knock on the door to ask if we needed any items. Two USB-A phone charger on alarm clock next to bed. Need adapter if only Type C. Free parking is nice. Would see security guard walking/patrolling the premises in the evenings.

Overall good. Convenient location, facilities are good, rooms are new and comfortable. But there are no slippers or toothbrushes in the room. It took a long time for the slippers to come before they were delivered. The water was only delivered in two bottles in two days, and it disappeared the next day after drinking on the first day. We needed to break up a long trip with one night at a hotel. Chose this hotel for its location. Was able to use points for the one night, so we are not out any money. The hotel is newer, but the rooms are spartan to say the least. Not relaxing or cozy or comfortable. Mattress was okay, pillows were flat as pancakes. My ”feather free” request was not honored, but they fixed that after we were in the room. The layout of the room is strange, the chair and sofa uncomfortable, and the television is oddly placed as far away from the soft as it could be. The bathroom had a strange motion sensor lighting system, which you cannot override even if you want to. The lights switched on at midnight for no reason, waking us up! The tile floor of the bathroom has very wide grout lines which looked very dirty even in this newer hotel. The check in clerk was friendly. The check out clerk was not. I could not get any sort of receipt, even via email. I am not sure he actually checked us out when we left at 7 am.

We have been to this hotel many times before- but this is the first since the pandemic. We were very impressed with their cleaning procedures and preparations. Even before our arrival, the front desk sent us emails to acknowledge our reservations. Brandon (been there 7 years) checked us in with great professionalism and friendliness. He took care of everything and made sure we wrote down what we wanted for the 2 days we were staying for breakfast. They have a list of available items for breakfast and you mark what you want. At the marked time, they would have the items bagged up and you can bring up to your room to eat. They will also make you coffee with cloves on!! Rooms are spacious as always. Rooms are clean, but you will not get room serviced- you can request new towels and other items as needed. All employees had masks on all the time, and customers are required to wear masks in public areas. I can highly recommend this hotel and their staff!!

This hotel is just old- not old and ”quaint” or ”charming”. Except maybe the lobby. Yes- the bones and the original architecture are lovely. Until you look closely. You can see where the old original walls were and where they've chipped away to open it up. The original doors in the rooms would be beautiful had they been taken care of. You can see the wood-color caulk/fill over nails that no one has ever bothered to stain over. You can see where the old handle/lock plates were- no one has bothered to blend them. The original vent in the shower is caked and gross. The furniture is worn and and scratched up. And no- not in a cool, ”rustic” way, just plain worn out. This is what I can't forgive. You can only throw so many layers or paint or caulk or work at old walls or floors etc. But you can certainly replace aging furniture. Between the old, musty smell and the overall poor condition I kept shoes or socks on when in the room. If you are lackluster about taking care of the hard surfaces- what's lurking in that area rug? Just felt ”ick” overall. The amount of money I paid to say here was pretty upsetting. The staff barely cracked a smile at check-in. He just took my ID and started typing. It took a really long time during which he pretty much never spoke- just stared at the screen while we stood there. He smiled when he handed us the keys- and that was it. The other person was the same to the couple next to us. What's funny was some of the other staff was buzzing around and seemed happy and (possibly?) helpful- put some of those people at your desk. No coffee in the room; tea and kettle only. No coffee in the lobby either. You have to go to their hotel restaurant. There is no luggage rack. I wound up putting my suitcase on the long counter where the tea/glasses were. (Shown in the photo). There is a mini-fridge. We did not look at it. The parking is not covered and caddy-corner to the hotel. It does have an attendant. I am adding this because I couldn't find this info. on their website. And they place their Normandie sign inside the lot by the valet tent. Common sense would dictate you put it at the street; not inside the lot. I will say that the beds were comfortable and the linens were very clean. (Never so excited about the smell of bleach.) The bathroom was clean but the surfaces are old- again you can only clean them, caulk, paint in so many layers. The tub and shower fixtures were worn and chipped. At some point you need to replace old and busted with new fixtures that match the period structure. With the price point of this hotel I shouldn't have to second guess taking a shower. We stayed here to be within walking distance to the Wiltern. We would not stay again. Don't get fooled by the glossy marketing photos. I really don't understand the high reviews. I've stayed in many a small, older hotel where you can appreciate the fine details. Even if not perfect they felt cared for. Age is no excuse for worn out furnishings, smel

Reception area was super posh with fireplace etc. Room was elegant and comfortable with big windows nice bathroom etc. kids loved the tv in the bathtub. Pool was beautiful loved the swan floats and pool staff were lovely and beyond accommodating. Thanks Hannah! Loved just walking the grounds which were California jungle chic. I am so happy they preserved the old world glamor of this hotel, in the best, most modern way. The restaurant is such a special indoor- outdoor setting with booths and trees and fountains. We loved eating here. Kids liked being able to spend time with both parents in a relaxed setting. All in all a great stay and look forward to returning to this special spot solo or with friends.

Lost torance hotel, marriott's apartment. The hotel is a two-storey villa community. If you live on the first floor, it will be light and the building will be low. It feels very depressed. It’s a bit strange to enter the room, not used to it. The decoration of the apartment, kitchen utensils and tableware are complete, but there is no toothpaste toothbrush slippers, let alone combs. The bathroom sprinklers cannot be taken down and are not convenient to use. Meals, including breakfast, at 6:30 in the morning, many guests go to breakfast at 6:30, everyone can't sleep. We went there for two days, just Monday through Wednesday, the hotel offered dinner for free, but it was a simple fast food category, hamburger, pizza, soda, etc. It was enough to fill the stomach. During the Spring Festival, the hotel is expensive. There are 1200 rooms in this room, and 1800 in Marriott and Hilton. I usually see 1000 in normal times. If I choose again, I will not choose this hotel again.

I think the best starting point of comparison is probably tent camping for the following reasons. Let's start with the good part. The bed appeared to be free of vermin and unexplained stains. It was moderately comfortable. This is significantly better than tent camping, where you generally have to sleep on the ground and shift your body around various rocks and other objects beneath the tent. The remaining features, however, compare quite similarly to campground life. Starting with the surroundings, there is a wide variety of clientele on the hillside, not all of whom you would like to meet in a dark vault toilet at midnight. There are mosquitoes, including ones that live in the room apparently. Like a good campsite, the view is quite good, assuming that you are actually put into a city view facing room. The bathroom may be a good starting point. It definitely does not smell as bad as a vault toilet. That is probably because it had a thick layer of highly scented soap coating the tiles. When we entered the room, our eyes watered from the extraordinary aroma of all of the cleaning product that was used in the bathroom. The cleaning staff had not removed the soap from the floor, so it had a skating rink like effect even when we were wearing shoes. Getting in and out of the shower required substantial skill and balance. This would not have been a problem in or an ordinary hotel situation, but the stingy management only gives you two bath towels and one hand towel. If there were more towels, we could put them on the floor for safety. Another thing that comes in somewhat below tent camping level is the complete lack of access to management. There is no front desk, there is no check-in process, and as far as I can tell there is no housekeeping either other than between guests. At most campgrounds, there is at least a camp host who you can reach out to if you have difficulties. I've included some photos of the wildlife dwelling near the antique toilet, the pool that they advertise themselves as having available to guests, which is actually closed and appears to have been for some time, and the general grubbiness of the room.

This hotel is actually a certain distance away from the airport. When I made a reservation, it seemed that he was relatively new. It is not recommended to choose this for flights arriving at night, it is not too easy to find. There is a charge for parking in the hotel. Of course, you can also tell the front desk that you did not drive because it is a large public parking lot with 4S shops and other agencies nearby. In this way you don't have to pay parking fees. But there is no parking ticket in your car. You will be fined if you catch it, and it's not safe. The most important thing is that Chinese people must be honest!

I expected a little because it said that breakfast was included, but it was too poor. Only a small loaf of bread and cereal came out. Drinks were orange and milk not 100%. The milk was also unsanitary mixed with water falling from the ceiling. My son had a stomach ache from the effects. The employees were kind and taught me a lot about the city.

The overall feeling is good, the location is particularly easy to find, the room rate includes breakfast, the only disadvantage is that the noise along the highway is relatively large, it is recommended to pay another upgrade to a quiet area inside.

The last hotel booked before returning home. The front desk of the hotel can speak Chinese, there is a microwave in the lobby, and some rooms have it. The castle Ole is very close, there is a Chinese breakfast, a Chinese community. The room is quite big and the price is good. There is a convenience store next to it, which is very convenient. There is a bestbuy one hundred meters away and it’s not cheap, but the appliances look really good, and I have an urge to go home. Castle Ole is nearby, but I went to Desert Ole. It’s too far. I advise everyone not to go too far to Ole. Time is also money.

The location is the only thing good about this hotel. If you stay in the back rooms there alot better then the frontvof the hotel. That needs to be renovated especially for the price of the hotel. The staff was friendly overall never had a problem

Hubby and I decided to stay here for a change. It's located at a busy intersection with many stores across the street. The first thing I noticed was the essential elements of Victorian architecture inside the building. The looks created goosebumps. I started picturing the movie ”1408,” but the building is up to the 4th floor only. Don't panic! Nothing happened here. Don't watch too many scary movies and you'll be all right! The pool was closed temporarily so we couldn't enjoy it. I used the gym and business center. Unfortunately, I couldn't print anything at the business center, so I had to save the files and send them to the employee at the front desk so that they could print them for me. The computers worked fine, though. We got a complimentary daily breakfast. It was ok, with minimal choices. I tried it once and didn't return the next day because we found an excellent place to get our breakfast. The employees are friendly and helpful. The parking situation is a plus, easy access to the lobby and from the entrance, you need a key in the elevator to go up to the 3rd or 4th floor or your room. I used the gym. The hotel needs some newer equipment for sure. The treadmill wasn't working, so I used the elliptical and weight machines. Although it's located in a busy area, I prefer the location near the water we stayed in last time. That was Crowne Plaza hotel. Anyway, the room condition was ok. The bed wasn't very comfortable, though. Our room faced the pool that wasn't working at the time. It was not a busy season. We joked around that we were the only guest on the first day. After the first day, I saw...people, not dead people, phew! We're safe! We're not sure whether we will stay here again, but the location is not for me.

The hotel is not bad, the location is good, walk to Long Beach and the Ocean Museum for ten minutes. There are many restaurants around, and there are many hotels like Marriott, which are more expensive. This is similar to a motel, and the price is OK. It is a bad attitude towards Ctrip booking staff, saying that after the deduction is not responsible for the success of the booking, even directly call me
