Not that great of a hotel. I haven't been to the beach or the pool area yet but I do know from looking off of our balcony that the hot tub is green. We arrived and were given our first room and when we tried to open the door it took us around 10 mins to even get it open, then once we opened it we could not get it shut. When I went down to let her know about it she said that she would be up to show me how to shut it. Turns out you have to slam it to shut it. She wanted to leave us in that room. When I advised her that I am a travel advisor and I would never let a client of mine in that room she said oh they normally let us know when you are coming and give us a heads up. I then stated this was not something that I got for a discount to see I did this on my own to experience what their hotel was like. I am here on my own will and have checked out more than one hotel in the area. In the new room that they put us in, the bathroom door is what is hard to shut. There are so many things that are little things to update that could be done very cheap but instead they seem to have done a remodel on the rooms without fixing these small things. There needs to be new hinges on most of the doors and half of the plug ins will not hold plugs in them and I know since my son use to do electrical work is a very easy and inexpensive fix. Also, the air in our room barely cools our room down. The first room we were in had a newer fridge in it and the one we were moved to has the crappiest fridge that looks about 25-30 years old and it does not cool very much at all. I can't see booking any of my clients here with the experience I have had and unless they insist I will be telling them to stay completely away, which is not a good sign since I have basically got here and moved into my room and ran to the store and that is about it so far since it was raining last night and we went to do errands and then to eat then back here to shower and sleep. My friend that is with me was outside where you have to go to smoke and was offered **** several times and had a gentleman that would not leave her alone and there is no security here patrolling like the last place that we stayed at. Here for one more day and wondering what else I am going to find today! Females that are traveling on a girls trip with no males, it is probable not a good place to stay by yourselves. We are making it work because we are basically just here for the beach and to check out some places but this is not a place I feel comfortable staying by myself again nor will I send anyone here when things are made to be like that. I understand how it is when places are on the beach so I am not being picky if I was I would list that there is rust and all of that stuff but that is to be expected on the beach these other things I have never had anywhere. Also there was trash sitting outside in the corner of the stairs when we arrived at 4 pm yesterday and it is still sitting there this morning with an additional bag th

For a Holiday Inn property this is disappointing, unexpected. Everything is dated and shows years of wear and tear, although still functional Room lacks expected amenities and those provided are small, limited. A significant concern was the lack of sufficient lighting in suite bedroom. Some electrical outlets were undependable and not conveniently located, especially near bed headboard. TVs are old and lack smart features. Suite kitchen offers no dishes, utensils. IHG.COM doesn’t necessarily show lowest rates.WiFi service subject to frequent disruptions. Business center is in lobby and offers no privacy. Positives: although hotel appears short staffed (e.g., housekeeping every other day) public areas are clean. Front desk and other staff are friendly and responsive. Restaurant and grill food, while not five star, is well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced. Servers are friendly and attentive. Pool area is appealing with enclosed pool for young children and a hot tub. Easy access to beach. Almost all rooms have ocean view.

This hotel is a little cottage in the woods sort of place…quiet, not cluttered with urban madness at your doorstep, yet easily accessed for events and adventures nearby. Driving is a must and what it might lack in some things you want… like free everything….you have the gift of seclusion and rest. The lobby and entry area is huge and possibilities endless to relax, do business or meetings, and to chill out with food, snacks, and beverages. I used canes and my walker on a bad day and navigating was easy peasy. I cannot say enough about the staff from folks out front to cleaning crew to Bistro waitress. Flat out kind. Thoughtful. Funny. Helpful. Honest.

Listen, I understand it’s an old building and renovation are on there way… Location, views, the actual grounds are great! But the rooms are filthy, doors not closing all the way, major safety issue, running out of food at a conference, not much of a food selection and it’s cold, Chile byyyee!! BUGS!! The horrible dirt coffee, not great channel selection, equipment breaking down, elevators slow and the pool being green during an AQUATIC conference, unacceptable! Shall I go on… the only thing I really appreciate was their customer service Julie, Danny, Kali, Maurice and Jerome and others. The pool bar food was good. Let’s just say these renovations is going to be worth it!

An amazing surprise. The hotel is excellent! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The hotel itself is very clean and very well maintained. The breakfast was fresh and well stocked and the staff was very attentive and made sure everything was stocked. The choices were fairly standard….but the scones were excellent! Coffee hot and fresh. There are plenty of restaurants in the immediate are, and lots to see if you are a racing fan. I can’t give this note and staff enough kudos This is must stay if in Daytona Beach!!!

From the moment we arrived until our departure, we received top-notch service. The staff was professional and courteous. The maintenance people were constantly on top of things, the cleaning crew did a fabulous job, and the wait staff were very willing to go above and beyond to make our meals perfect. A big shout out to the young man who checked us in. Upon arrival, I realized I was missing my wallet. He quickly checked us in while I retraced my steps. He was very understanding and even offered us a room upgrade for being platinum members. Thank you James B. for making a very stressful situation much easier to deal with. We will certainly stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

We stayed for only one night, but it was a good one. The hotel has a great location. It is close to the airport, the race track and the beach. Dozens of dining venues are close as well. The room was large and comfortable. It was equipped with a 2 burner stove, a full sized refrigerator and utensils. The bathroom was a little small but the shower was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the pool and spa were very relaxing. Staff was also very good. Great place for a quick, or a moderately extended stay.

We have stayed at El Caribe the last few years for Jeep Beach and Perry's before that. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. We stayed in a different room this year all was very clean but the room could use to be updated a bit. And the party going on next door was great! It kept us entertained the entire stay! The only thing that was inconvenient was the new no smoking policy. We spend A LOT of money for our stay even more so for a special event to be told we cannot smoke on our own balcony that we paid for or be limited in enjoying time with our family because there are only 2 smoking areas at the far ends of the property.

Husband & I stayed here for Speedweek Feb 2022. This was our first time staying at this property. The location directly across from the track was perfect! If you are in to walking, you can leave your car at the property and walk. Since we were infield, we chose to drive our car every day and not walk. I was a little concerned upon reading some of the other reviews regarding the rooms having issues, rude staff etc before our stay and was very happy to have a very different experience. Our King Jr Suite was spotless. The room did not smell musty or moldy and the bathroom was in good working order. We were in a handicap room next to the elevator but I was surprised that the room was pretty quiet. You would think that having a full house of race fans it would be super noisy but it was not. We could see turn 4 from our window which was nice. My only negative to our stay was that the mattress & pillows need to be replaced. The pillows were basically flat. Outside of that, our housekeeper was so nice and helpful during our stay and did an awesome job on the day we requested service. The FD staff was professional yet warm & welcoming. They made sure that our concerns over parking were heard and we had no issues during our stay. The gentleman who checked us out (I unfortunately forgot his name) was the GM and even helped us book our next stay for the summer race and was so helpful! The lobby remodel has been finished and looks modern yet cozy. The bar & restaurant were open during our stay and were busy however we didn't get a chance to try them out. Breakfast was being served throughout our stay as well. The pool looked clean and inviting however it was too cold outside for swimming. As far as Covid and this being Florida, only the staff were wearing masks in addition to ourselves. Signs are up but lets be real, in this part of Florida anywhere we went, we were the only masked people. And frankly, I wouldn't want the staff to end up in an altercation over masks either. The location made it easy to receive Instacart and Grubhub deliveries so we didn't need to leave the hotel besides going to the track. This is definitely our new spot for any Daytona Races.

My a husband and I have been coming to this hotel for at least 15 years. We came for the Spring 2022 Turkey Run at the Daytona Speedway located conveniently across the street. The entire team treats guests like family. We were welcomed at the front desk by Dale, whom is both charming and proficient at her job. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The pool and hot tub were great and our room was spotless. The breakfasts were excellent and plentiful. The scones were amazing! On Wednesday, there was a nice managers reception with a light meal and beer and wine. We didn't need dinner that night. The team has obvious great leadership and we saw the manager Jim ensure that everything was running smoothly. The entire team works hard to make sure you feel welcome and enjoy your stay.

Anna has helped us since we checked in and always goes above and beyond. She has maintained a professional and positive attitude with us even though I know there have been times my boys and or dog have driven her insane. I have stayed here before and it's the best hotel in Daytona Beach. In particular the Oceanfront rooms are spectacular with two balconies...one off the bedroom and one off the living room. Every room and floor is pet friendly.....I hate it when they limit the rooms or floors with pets...that's why I love the RI's and thanks to Giovanni the front desk manager we were on the 7th floor. One balcony is open to the side view too and you can see the intercoastal from the bedroom window. The suite was immaculate and spacious. After being in other hotel rooms it's so nice to have the kitchen and living room space. They have a nice bar with a few munchies on the menu. The management is very responsive including Giovanni, Robert the GM and Linda the Sales Manager...they're willing to email and answer questions too. I will be back again for sure!

Very pleased with cleanliness, most of staff was very friendly the breakfast staff were super nice there was one who worked the desk at night who clearly did not want to be there and had a poor atitude, breakfast was okay wish they had a little more to offer but it was enough to get you going for the day, pool are met my needs but there were not readily available pool towels without having to ask, location was good not to much traffic right by both daytona speedway and the airport and a short 13 minutes or so from daytona beach was also nice that there was a mall across the street although I did not get to visit during my stay. I enjoyed the stay enough to book an additional day.

Loved this hotel - my top tip would be to book direct on BonVoy and get a fantastic breakfast. Great location right across the Speedway - you can hear the Nascars going around when you sit on the balcony or in the bar when the events/daily rides are on. The theming is also all based on the speedway, with cars everywhere. My son loved it. The spot is also good - good restaurants on the complex to walk to as well as some shops and a gaming/amusements place. Room was great, housekeeping on point, Molton Brown toiletries and a small bar. The pool is great and there is a gym and free laundry on the ground floor too - so you can put your washing in and sit out if you're on a road trip like us :-) Couple of things to note - there were loads of big groups and prom parties when we were there and on the last day they hotel did a pool party which was LOUD (and i'm not being old) and we felt like we'd wandered into a bit of a frat party (and i'm not being old!). For one afternoon it didn't matter but if you only stayed one night and this was on and not for you it would take the pool out. Also - we had a car - you might feel you were some way out of Daytona itself if you didn't. Other than that loved it 👍🏻

Overall I was disappointed with the condition of the property. The furniture was very outdated. The first thing I saw when I entered the room was this big stain on the wall. I didn't know if it was from water damage or if it was some sort of strange portal to another world. The water in the shower started out draining slow and then it stopped draining out at all, so there was dirty water standing in the tub whenever we needed to shower. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone but they never did. We went to the store and purchased "Drano" to get the dirty water out. It was disgusting to say the least. The air conditioner worked but it didn't get super cold. When checking into the lobby there was a guy standing there trying to sell us drugs. He was soliciting to all of the guest it seems. Other than that, the beds were comfy and the cover was clean.

Nice, helpful staff but: Entire building needs to be gutted and remodeled People clean all day (mop) and it still looks dirty Wifi Is at dial up speeds if you can get connected Movies play 44 sec to a minute before buffering Buttons coming off of treadmills They have Pelotons Leaks and stained carpet Nice staff Cell service also sucks - if you need to communicate with the outside world after your arrival, you will need to be sure you have packed your patience I’d bet Paris Hilton would not stay here in this condition Only thing from this century is the digital key, which works well and the towel checkout. Everything else from 1988 Beautiful, clean beach outside Bottled water at Starbucks doesn’t have price listed because it is $6.10 plus tax and they don’t want you to know until they’ve rung it up. Basic coffee is $4 though. Restaurants average about $40/person/meal, but depends on where you go - we mostly ate Dominos across the street Great location Good selection of other places to eat right across the street or next door Check uploaded images for what you will see in common areas and in your room We had one bedroom King on conference room side

If it weren't for the location, I would give it a two - the place is tired and needs some updating - the stove only had two of the four burners working, lacked some essentials in the kitchen if you are planning on cooking, the drain in the shower was severally clogged with sand, the furniture is worn, the on site laundry room was nasty, the pool had the pool light dangling with its wire out (I wouldn't go in a pool with exposed wires out!) but....the location was amazing! You literally walk down stairs (or take the elevator) and you are on the beach! If you aren't looking for a luxurious place, this is the spot - close to Publix grocery, great restaurants and out of the downtown Daytona craziness. AND, the views from our condo were amazing!
