It is only a dozen minutes away from Nanping Pedestrian Street. Opposite the hotel is the hotel that receives the head of state. The scenery is very good and there is a humanistic atmosphere. Location is fantastic. Just right next to subway entrance, and close to many shopping centers and eateries. Rooms are clean and modern. Staff are friendly and approachable. Oh, not to mention free laundry in the property.

We stayed here for two nights on the first and second days of the Chinese New Year and were pleasantly surprised. Compared to the crowds at scenic spots like Dianchi Lake, the children preferred to feed fish, chase geese, watch squirrels and enjoy the freedom of peacocks in the large courtyard of the hotel. The adults enjoyed the rare quiet and relaxation, breathing in the scent of spring in the city. The ancient buildings and the surrounding high-rise buildings set off each other, and there is a perfect fusion of history and modernity. The hotel where the Queen of England has stayed is unique!

My definition of luxury, this brand new hotel strikes the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity as art deco style. Bath Rooms are tastefully decorated with all the high quality amenities. You'd come to expect from a 5+ star hotel including automatic black out curtains and one touch lighting control. The restaurant/breakfast area was outstanding. The breakfast was one of the best I experienced with a selection not found in any other 5 star hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. From the moment we booked the room we were greeted with the most friendly staff. Emily and Wan (in the Front desk/Concierge ) gave us a smooth check in, and provided us with a great dining guide that we wanted to explore. They are exceptional! I would highly recommend and will definitely go back for these stellar services and amenities.

This hotel is in a good location, opposite the Hang Lung Shopping Mall, very close to Kunming Old Street, Cuihu Park and Nanqiang Night Market (less than 10 minutes by taxi). The decoration style is simple and warm, the night is very quiet, and the sleep is quite good. The room is clean and tidy. The bedding is also comfortable. There is also a washing machine and a kitchenette range hood induction cooker, you can cook something yourself, the room type meets the needs of family travel, and it is very convenient for a family to live. Nice experience!

The room is very clean and hygienic. This time I traveled to Yunnan and stayed in many hotels. Only the Geli Hotel provided disposable cups, which are more practical. The cups provided by other hotels are just for display and most people don't know how to use them. The responsible staff have a good attitude, especially a beautiful lady named Lili, who is warm, thoughtful and meticulous. The free mineral water is also more than other hotels.

Very convenient for the sight seeing. The room is spacious and elegant decorated with the deep green and brown color. Comfortable and satisfactory!! The restaurant opens at 7:30 a.m. If they could offer the breakfast a little bit earlier, we would more happy.

The transportation is extremely convenient. It is opposite to Hang Lung Hotel, which is convenient for shopping and eating. If you want to travel, you can go to Nanping Pedestrian Street and Kunming Old Street, which are all within walking distance. If you walk down, you will find Cuihu Park. If you want to go to Xishan, Haigeng Dam, etc., there are subway lines 2 and 3 at the door of the hotel. The sanitation is very satisfactory, and it is quiet to sleep at night. The service is also very good, and they will respond to whatever you want immediately. 300 yuan, the price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect.

My partner and I recently stayed at Kunming Dongfeng Plaza Beijing Road Atour Light Hotel during our 5-day visit to Kunming, and it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. A special thanks to Jiangwan for providing excellent advice and assistance with our late check-out request, as well as to Xiu Yi and Hong Luo for their great support during our early check-in. Their professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression. The front desk team is incredibly accommodating—whether you need extra mineral water, an umbrella, or other items, they handle requests promptly and with a warm smile. Even the chambermaids were courteous and attentive, further reflecting the hotel’s commitment to outstanding service. The room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed and well-maintained amenities. The hotel’s location is also a standout feature. It is conveniently situated near a metro station and a 24-hour mini-mart, with a police station next door, providing an added sense of security. Popular attractions like Nanping Street and Kunming Old Street are just a 15-minute walk away, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. Overall, our stay at this hotel made our Kunming trip truly memorable. The exceptional service, clean and comfortable accommodations, and strategic location make this hotel highly recommended. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit!

At first it was a little confusing because the hotel’s lobby located at 6th floor. The english is not so good (as usual) but the communication can be done via translator. The front desk are very helpful and will try their best to communicate despite the language barrier. The room is clean, good view. I had my friend booking with no windows room and it’s actually decent too. They actually have windows just that it faced inside the building. Not bad and not as claustrophobic as i thought it would. It’s located along ninping street, although it’s felt like on the end side of the road. So you need to walk quite a bit yo the centre side of the road. The gym is very basic probably just 3 equipments at level 6. The laundry is also at level 6. In general i would recommend. I have no complaint for my one night stay. Love it. The location of the hotel is strategic, near the old streets and lots of eateries, tea stalls and shopping malls nearby. The breakfast is standard breakfast like most hotels which is pretty decent: porridge, corns, siu mai, fruits and drinks. The hotel service is so-so, the girls talk among themselves at the counter most of the time. The lift is at first floor so you have to drag your luggage all the way up two fleets of staircase before you reach the lift. so avoid it if you have big, heavy luggages. We stayed in the cheapest standard room so the room and toilet is really cramp. minimal space for you to open your luggages or to change clothes. The cleanliness is so-so as the room and facilities are a bit aged. however for the price you pay, i recommend for non fussy solo traveler or those without big bags.
