Location: Very good, 50 meters from the subway, just beside the Belvedere Palace. There is a nice old beer restaurant nearby, I ate three meals there. Facilities: The room is large, with floor-to-ceiling windows, which can be opened for use as a balcony, and the bathroom is separated from wet and dry; Service: Chat with the front desk lady, saying that about 80% of the hotel guests are from China. So the service is not to say, friendly and attentive. There are problems with the holiday service in Munich and Stuttgart. It’s a sudden feeling of enthusiasm in Vienna.

Very good hotel, big room, global uniform design, very comfortable, big bed, no problem with family of three, great view from the small balcony window, drink from the minibar, nespresso capsule coffee Machines and capsules are free to use and enjoy Hotel location is very good, walking directly to all the reputation, but the parking cost is higher... In addition, the hotel next door is a gas station, convenient for self-driving There is also a night club at the door, curious babies can go hunting j

We rented 2 rooms here on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for my husband, myself and my 2 daughters in their 20s. A few weeks beforehand I emailed the hotel about restaurant reservations and Mass times for the holiday and they were very helpful with providing answers to both. Staff onsite during our stay were very nice and helpful as well. As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is in the new town rather than the old town. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the Sound of Music tour, Mirabellplatz, and the beginning of the old town. It probably wouldn’t be a problem in the nice weather but it was cold and rainy during our time there. Luckily street parking was free for the holiday so we drove and parked around Mirabellplatz and then walked into the old town. We also paid 15 euro a day to park at the hotel. Breakfast was average and similar to what we had seen on this 10 day trip to Germany and Austria. They had cheeses, cold meats, cereal, yogurt, fruit, homemade bread & jams and eggs - scrambled and hard boiled - no hot meats like sausage or bacon though. The rooms were a bit on the smaller side with no mini fridge but the beds were comfortable and it was clean. The WiFi was very strong and we were able to stream a movie on our laptop at night. At other hotels on this trip that was not possible. Our room had a clear shower so if you were hanging your coat/clothes in the storage area, you could see another person in the shower. We found similar rooms in Germany where the bathroom had a clear door, so I guess that’s a style around here but we did not like it. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor and it was very warm. We actually had the windows open and a stand up fan on (provided in the room) at night. Since it was Christmas time, there wasn’t much open nearby but we did find an awesome Italian restaurant only 2 blocks away that we enjoyed - Ristorante Beccofino. We also enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner reservation at BRAURESTAURANT IMLAUER. All in all, this was a decent budget friendly hotel if you don’t mind being outside of the old town.

We stayed here 4 nights during an unfortunate summer heat wave, and it was nearly impossible to sleep. We did ask for a fan and they gave us a small floor fan. It really didn't help much as there was no way to get cross ventilation. Our room faced the busy street right above the hotel entrance, and we had to keep the windows wide open at night. Not only was it hot, it was noisy and a bright street light shined directly into our room. On the positive, the room was small but big enough for the 3 of us, and the bathroom was a nice size. Towels were changed daily. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi was really good, and convenient parking was right across the street. It was only about 15 minutes to walk to old town, entering right in the middle. We didn't eat breakfast there, instead going to the Billa, conveniently a block away. There was also a Spar supermarket a block from the Billa. Overall, I would recommend this as a budget option, but not during a heat wave!

I walked out of the train station on the first day. I didn't expect this hotel was at the back door of the train station. I walked through a small garden that was too late at night to navigate and write for ten minutes, but these ten minutes still panicked. However, Mercure infected me with the standardized facilities and services of a global chain in the next two days. The breakfast was really good, the favorite was marinated salmon and hot chocolate. The fruit is also very fresh, so be sure to eat cantaloupe. In short, great, go to Mirabell Palace to catch the No. 2 bus directly. The fortress is a little further away, and taxis are not expensive

Stayed one nigh while touring Salzburg and wish we had been able to stay longer. The property is historic but also comfortable and well designed, with lots of character and nice touches throughout. Rooms were clean and staff very helpful. The courtyard out back is particularly pretty (though avoid it if you're allergic to bees since they raise bees in the yard.) It's also only about a 10 minute walk to the heart of the old city and they provide parking too if you are driving.

Everything was perfect during our stay. The staff is really friendly and willing to help with anything, the room at 4-th floor was very cozy, warm, clean, everything looked brand new, the bathroom is great, hot watter, clean, big enough and modern, we had a tv, the bed was big, neither hard nor soft, and even if our window faced the main street, we didn't hear the noise. At the main floor you can make coffe and tee for free, all day long. There is also a microwave and some dishes that you could use. The bdeakfast is very good and there are a lot of options to choose from. The hotel has an elevator, a parking place and it's located 2 min walking from the old town. We will for sure return to stay here. It was a pleasure to sleep here 3 days.

The location of the hotel is not in the city center, it is quite quiet, but it is not far from the city center, ten minutes. There is a big supermarket nearby. The room is not too small, you can comfortably spread the big boxes. The bed is slightly softer and it may feel a bit uncomfortable to get used to sleeping on a hard bed. The breakfast selection is not too much, but the taste is quite good. There is a Chinese restaurant next door to the hotel. It tastes good and it takes a long time to serve. There are also many other restaurants nearby, so you can walk more. There are two parking lots, one of which is public, a little farther away, and it takes 3-5 minutes. However, there are a lot of parking spaces.

At the outset, I have to state that I value a welcoming and 'friendly' approach more than any other aspect in a hotel, and this will be clearly reflected in my review. The welcome was handled well by the receptionist on night duty. This unfortunately turned out to be more of an exception during my nine-day stay. Reception staff almost always seemed to be busy and in a hurry, even when there were no other guests around. For example, they would not answer questions on sightseeing, but would tell me repeatedly to read the little pamphlet they provided. The room was comfortable, even though on the small size. A mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities were very much missed. Breakfast was better than average with good options for non vegans. There were very limited vegan options and only dairy milk and yoghurt were provided. Staff around the hotel seemed to be very efficient, perhaps polite, but not friendly. They seemed friendly with guests who spoke the local language. The location was good, although the town was a 10 to 15 min walk away. A small fitness centre was reasonably well equipped. This is a hotel that has been established for a long time. It is efficiently run, but somehow, something is missing, more to do with how some clients are approached. It could be an issue of language and culture. On the whole, I would not choose to visit this hotel again.

let's start with the service: this small hotel felt like im into a fairytale. the service from the manager and Yohan (sorry for the wrong spelling probably) was amazing ! I felt like im in my home, they took care of everying and do all the efforts to make me feel satisfied and happy (it was a solo trip). Location: Best location you can find in Salzburg. In the old town, beautiful, easy to find and walk to all the attractions.. Breakfast: service was again extraordinary ! and the breakfast itslef was so delicios , wide selections, with all best! (i think best breakfast i've ever had in Austria!) Room: I was in the Junior Suite and the Suite (I tried both) - i was speechless. the well designed and the spacious of the room . it was perfect ! i love the bathroom in the suite and the waterfall shower in the junior suite. the bed was so comfortable! the free one session of the minibar - was really nice offering! the suite has a beautiful terrace with amazing view (highly recommended ). it has spacious living room and both shower and bath. Everything was tidy and clean! It was a very pleasure to combine and tried both rooms! I have to say - Small Luxuary Hotel brand is never disappointing. I would love to go back to that place! <3

I really wanted to like this hotel, but ultimately left with a sour experience. The first two days our experience was excellent. The staff was wonderful and accommodating.  The first day we went to the front desk and ordered a pizza. The staff member on duty asked if we wanted it served in the room or in the restaurant.  We said the room and she kindly delivered it to the room. The third night we arrived back at the hotel after a long day of sightseeing around 9pm. As the hotel is located in a residential neighborhood there was nothing around other than the restaurant at the hotel.  We asked the front desk if we could order a pizza (please note this is the only thing they serve at night), and the staff member on duty coldly told us NO and then said they were not a pizza restaurant.  Then she asked us if we were guests of the hotel "do you have room here?".  She said the restaurant closed at 9, but then during the same conversation told us the restaurant closed at 10.  After asking if there was anything we could get at that late hour she made us a pizza but was very annoyed about it.  Further, and this what really disappointed us, she told us we were not allowed to take the pizza to the room as eating in the room was not allowed (even though there is a mini bar and snacks in the room), and we were also not allowed to eat in the restaurant, so we had to eat the pizza in the hallway of the hotel.  It was embarrassing and humiliating.   Real shame as we were enjoying our stay but this really made us feel unwelcome.

The front desk is very kind Call us and enter the city's lift gate password Tell us that we can drive the car into the city But only one hour Because every hour the gate password will change Breakfast is also well prepared The whole square of the honey of the hive is eaten for the first time. Originally there are one or two bees on it. Festival time to the hotel It is worthy of being Mozart’s hometown. We listened to the performance of local middle school students nearby. Opera medea is very high It’s completely free, and the quality of the audience is very good. The only minor drawback is because it is a historic hotel. The floor will be a little bit louder.

The highlight of this 600-year-old hotel is the service. The front desk or restaurant service is excellent. Professional service. Many high-end hotels have it. But this one makes people feel particularly sincere. Every word and every sentence they listen to and answer carefully and surpasses expectations. You do a good job, for example, when you see me have a bunch of coins at checkout, I will take the initiative to change the whole amount of money. I consult the trip to Munich and immediately help me find out and print out a list of the specific situation, which company bought the tickets How to get to the station ticket office Breakfast is average, but children are free (my child is 9 and a half years old) If you do not want to eat, there are McDonald's and Starbucks a few steps away, but the environment is always good One of the hotel's restaurants is the local one. It is the first recommendation on the lonely planet, so dinner can be solved at the hotel every day. One big one, two small juices, one soup, two main courses. Tips are not included. The service is great. Up Karajan was a frequent visitor to this restaurant The quilt is very comfortable Next to LV Anyway, I'd definitely choose here again

This is a hotel that can only be driven by car. It feels like a motel. We chose because the hotel was booked on the same day, and then the entire Salzburg, other hotels were not suitable, only chose this one. There is a dedicated parking lot outside and there is a dedicated parking lot for motorcycles. The room is not big on the second floor, but it is still very clean. ibs is a traditional standard business hotel.

As someone who travels a LOT for business I am so desperately thrilled when I find a place like this. The rooms are big, have desks, the mattress are comfy. Some rooms have a *gasp* BATH! Lots of storage and stylishly maintained, each room feels like you can spread out a bit, and the decor is pretty cool. Feels a bit like a boutique version of the Hoxton hotel in London. The reception/bar area is quiet and on Monday and Tuesdays it closes at 8. If you want a drink, there is a vending machine with very nice chilled wine and beer. When I’m travelling for business and working it’s all I need. But the real standout is the staff. There is nothing they won’t do for you. Truly the service here sets it apart from the rest, unsurprising since it’s family owned. The staff are so sweet.

stayed there already a few times during the last years as it is located opposite my parents home. They keep continuing the same good level of service so you always know what to exspect. Rooms and hotel is really clean and well cared for though the room amenities are more 3 than 4 star, staff very friendly and helpful. But it is mostly a Seminar hotel and not mainly for tourists so thats ok. Though there are tourists as well as there is a big parking lot, quiet location and a bus stop opposite with a direct bus right into the center of the city. In my opinion the best thing is the breakfast with a big selection of everything.

I was very much looking forward to staying at this hotel, as they partner with the Salzburg Festspiele, and it was recommended for it's location and history. I asked for a quiet room, but got one facing the street. Behind the street is a 70-some meter mountain wall, amplyfing all noise from the street and the church - which is next door - and which starts it's bells at 7 in the morning. Room got incredibly warm (heat wave) - and only one fan is provided, no air-con. I had to open the window during the night, waking every 10 minutes from drunken shouting outside. The carpet in the room was dirty and stained, the hot/cold faucets in the shower and sink were opposite, knobs on bathroom cabinet and dresser were missing, the skirting board (Bodemformteil) had come off from the walls. I needed help with understanding the information on my concert ticket. It was in German, and highly detailed (Covid- regulations) - I asked one of the staff to translate a few bits for me. My question was "What time do I need to be there?" She could not understand this, but replied "Oh no, there are no bees, no bees!" And made a "bzz"-sound, and she was not joking. I am working on my German, but you partner with the festival, and it would be very helpful if you knew just a little bit more English! This can all be tossed aside, but this can't: Since there is no breakfast, guest are invited to go to the sister hotel, Hotel Stein, down the street. I popped by in the evening to have a look at the venue (roof-top restaurant), it was so crowded, you couldn't move around. I'm sure it's disinfected to some extent after it closes and before it opens, and I'm not hysterical about the pandemic, but there were no covid-measures, 100-150 people standing around, no masks, no distance, nothing. It just felt so very irresponsible. On the bright side, there is a pretty little patio in the back, and the church yard behind the hotel, where Mozart's family's graves are, is a tranquile and very beautiful space.

An absolute must for Brits abroad! Breakfast was generous and delicious served by attentive waiting and kitchen staff. Thanks for the homemade cakes - they were delicious. I stayed here as a part of a larger tour (I did NOT choose this place and would not have based on the reviews here). I can confirm many of the details in the average to negative reviews. First note, make sure to tell your cab driver it's "Hotel Schaffenrath" NOT Amadeo. They will take you to the wrong place and the signage does not say Amadeo. When we arrived, there was literally NO ONE in the hotel (guests or staff) and it took the staff about 10 min to even acknowledge us at the desk. Our room was not ready, yes we were a couple of hours early, but we were literally the only ones in the building. To kill some time we went to McDonald's across the street and came back. Still was not ready. We asked to use the "fitness center" which is basically an empty space on another floor (that was hotter than a sauna) with some basic equipment just thrown in a corner. It was impossible to workout due to no AC. Positive note - there is a nice terrace on that floor which we used to get some air. We had to wait the full couple of hours and tbh the room was not clean and I have no idea what takes so long to get it ready. The rooms are very outdated and are really poorly planned in terms of use of space. Our room was SO hot when we arrived and the AC is SO weak it barely qualifies as "working". We kept the windows wide open and had to request a fan. Note on that, there were dead bugs all over the window sills, on the INSIDE. Took me two seconds to wipe with a tissue, I don't know why the cleaning staff could not have done that. Make sure to ask for a suite with the open-concept vs separate bedroom. Those rooms were even hotter and my family members ended up sleeping on couches. The service here was terrible, there was no one there working when the full group arrived in the evening and the keys were just left on the desk in a folder. Anyone could have grabbed them. The positive here? The free breakfast.

The hotel is a classic Relais et Chateau type establishment (even if it's not part of the network). It is rather intimate and very personable, the staff is very attentive and caring, and the food is - O-M-G (especially dinner at the Glass Garden)! Though it seems to be a bit away from the old town - you can get to the old town in a few minutes by using the elevator located at the end of the cliff - by the modern art museum. We’re a family of five and this was by far the best place we stayed while in Europe. The family who runs this hotel is so sweet and accommodating! We’re American and while we can understand some German we can’t speak it at all. The entire staff was very helpful about answering questions and making sure we had everything we needed! The rooms were so great! We stayed in a two room suite with a separate bathroom. There was so much room for all of us and it was so quiet! We ate out, but when we came back to the hotel the restaurant was still open! We had dessert and coffees and it was amazing! The apple strudel was the best we had in Austria! And coffee with baileys was exactly what we were looking for out on the town. We all slept with the windows open and we woke up to sound of a horse and carriage going past in the street below. Just awesome. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. It is not a holiday inn want to be, it is authentic and incredible.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, away from hustle bustle of commuting crowds but just minutes' walk away from the Hauptbahnhof. Halal food choices abound in the area. There are a kebab joint, a bakery and a minimart short distance from the hotel. A quaint hotel, the decorations and furnishing were from a past era. Our room was English concept. However the bathroom was modern and I particularly liked the bathroom heater which also doubles as railing to dry towels. Breakfast was included in the room rates so we had breakfast twice whilst staying there. The breakfast spread was good - cheeses and cold cuts, various breads, cereals, fruits, yogurt, coffee and tea. There was also a boiler for half-boiled eggs but when we were there a family was hogging the boiler from the time we came to the time we left. Perhaps they were boiling eggs for lunch on the road? The management needs to look into this. I have no complaints about this hotel and would gladly stay here again if I ever come back to Salzburg. The hotel also sells Salzburg Cards. A tourist resource which importance and value for money I can't emphasise enough.

We stayed for a weekend to explore and hike in the area (Fuschlsee and Mondsee). We loved it. The hotel has a nice view over Salzburg, a magnifier is available. You can see the Schloss and old city from a viewpoint at the hotel. The hotel also has a very nice spa area (steam bath, infrared cabin, sauna) which you can use exclusively if booked ahead. The restaurant is gourmet style with an amazing kitchen. Great rich breakfast! Extremely nice service, all staff are very kind. There is a pool that we enjoyed during hot afternoons. The whole place is secluded and very calming. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a base to explore.

We were staying in Vienna, and decided to take a train to Salzburg for a couple of days. The Pandemic was still in full swing, so we preferred to stay within Austria in case the borders closed, and to take the train because I like trains. We were looking for a hotel midway between the train station and the Altstadt, where we could just walk to either. The hotel is ideally placed, up a side street (Paris-Lodron Straße) halfway along the main route from the station to the Altstadt. Very pleasant place, with good-sized rooms and breakfast included. Breakfast included brotchen and croissants - a nice combination of German and Viennese. High quality food. The building is old - built in 1653 as a palace, and converted to a hotel in 1816. It has lots of atmosphere, but has everything you might expect from a modern hotel. Apparently we turned up on a night when virtually all the local restaurants were closed.(Monday). The lady on Reception recommended a local restaurant for dinner (Pitterkeller). It was a good recommendation, and I'll cover it in a different review. And yes, the hotel checked our vaccination status. US vaccination card plus US driver's license was OK. Recommended, particularly if you visit Salzburg by train.

The Hotel was established just a few years ago in a former commercial building, so the rooms are really new and nice. We had one on the 3rd floor with a balcony with view to the mountains. We liked the interior with the large shower as well the seperate toilet. The beds are really comfortable, everything was clean. We can recommend the Hotel because it is not too far away from the airport as well as from town. Bus service is available just nearby. If you want a hotel which has budget room rates, this is the place to book! Check In was efficient, the lady very helpful and nice. Check out was the highlight with a good conversation with the manageress and solving a problem at our complete satisfaction. We will return as soon as we visit Salzburg again.

When I first arrived in Salzburg, I was introduced into Mozart Square because of navigation errors. Because of the unclear identification of the surrounding area, I drove into the wrong place. I almost had to pay 100 Euros to get out of the square. Later I met Austria’s “yellow cow” and spent 30 Euros. When I checked in at the hotel, I told the younger brother at the front desk and told him that this should be a trap. Because of the three hours of staying in this stay, we found that many of the cars in the move could not go out. The front desk brother immediately removed us. Parking fees and tell us that "when something bad happens, there will always be good things happening", awesome

This is my first trip advisor review. I was forced to create an account due to this experience. When we reached there, the receptionist checked us in and we were taken to our rooms. Then the shock - AC meter has a note on it saying it is not working. There was No phone in the room(yes, they don't believe in serving customers at all) so we went downstairs and inquired to change the room. They said that none of the hotel ACs are working since MONTHS due to renovation going on in the hotel and this will be the scenario for NEXT FEW MONTHS as well! This was so ridiculous. They did not inform us when we booked and did not have the least courtesy to tell us while checking us in! Now, they arent concerned at all we see. So we asked if we could get a fan. They said No. They have Any! WOWWWW. So, basically we spent 3 nights in the hotel keeping the window open (the window and its parapet had bird poop stains on it). So, we ended up breathing dirty air and had uncomfortable sweaty nights. Vacation spoilt! If hotel is under maintenance and AC are not working than as being a part of service industry its your duty to provide basic facility like FAN as a option anyhow and and if you could not even provide or manage to arrange such small facility then it show your capability and it’s a question mark on your Brand also. Now, after coming back from the trip, I have been following up with them via calls (well, they don't have an email id) and fillip up contact forms on their website everyday! But, no revert!!!! Additional problems - Cleaning was ridiculous. They only folded the sheets and replaced the towels and napkins. No cleaning of carpet. No cleaning of linen. We don't mind if you use the same bedsheet but at least clean it! We are very disappointed with the service and treatments given! We have been trying to get some compensation from them. But, I doubt if I will even get a sorry from them. Forget the money!

Five stars recommended! Although it is not the same as the station, the left hand pushes the box and walks for 10 minutes. The tourist information office is also recommended to walk. Just to note that there are two Imlauer nearby, our star is high and the facade is more stylish. The hotel is located near the Mirabell Garden, where there are also bus stops (to the Old Town, if you don't want to walk more, take two small stops, it's very convenient) and go to the main bus stop of Salzgummert. Bottled water and apples are available all day in the lobby, and towels are also available, although there are bath towels in the room. Excellent attitude at the front desk, patient and courteous! The room decoration is relatively new, the bathroom is large, the layout of the three rooms is reasonable, and the added sofa bed is also very large.
