This is an old hotel that is tryng hard to improve. It was advertised by Mercury Holidays as 4 star, but is not. The pool was appreciated, but could have been cleaner, While we were there, an elevator was being installed and very unsafely. The lift shaft was left completely open directly on the guest floor corridor and the construction debris which covered half the width of the hall was not fenced off in any way - an accident waiting to haopen. Great location as others have said and hopefully, when it is finished, it will be one of the better hotels in Bukhara.

We enjoyed 4 nights at the Lyabi House Hotel in Bukhara. Not cheap but decent buffet breakfasts on terrace (including omelettes made to order). Our spacious and quiet room was on the ground floor in what I assume is the new wing - plain and unexciting but wholly adequate and comfortable. The location is very central, though again quiet and away from the crowds. One evening, we tried to eat in the restaurant - it was full (our fault for failing to book) and so we had room service which was outstanding quality and excellent value for money.

We stayed during 30 Mar 2019 - 01 Apr 2019 period. Took 2 rooms. Rooms were clean. One of our room was overlooking the small courtyard, where they still had some renovations ongoing. But we didn't hear any noise. Another room was facing the street, which is a bit noisier because of cars and people walking. There's a small grocery shop to the left of the hotel, where you can buy quick drinks and snacks. Breakfast was good. No buffet. It's a local type breakfast: - bread and butter; - tea and/or coffee (they will ask you for your choice); - sausages and cheese; - fried/boiled eggs; - yogurt (tvorog); - deserts. We went when it was still cool weather. So, the aircoin remote controller was with the reception. You have to ask to get it. TV has a lot of international channels, mostly news. Beware of taxi gang right outside the hotel: they will overcharge by 3 - 5 x if they know you are not local. Check the approximate prices with the reception before taking any taxis, it's best to hail the yellow cabs from the street. Train station to this hotel: 20,000 - 25,000 UZS max.

After leaving the hostel we originally booked, we found Graf and right away realized we made the right decision. We were welcomed and made to feel at home, the owner and his family are very friendly. He even called his dad over to play some traditional Tajik music after I expressed an interest in listening to Central Asian folk music. We had a great time in Bukhara. Clean, comfortable rooms.

One thing I learned from Uzbeks were they were not overly friendly people, especially towards tourists who can't speak russian or uzbek. So, I was surprised by the welcoming and warm reception by people working at Minzifa; full of smiles and good english. I absolutely loved staying here. It is a tranquil hotel in the alleys of Bukhara. It has a very homey feel to it and warm hospitality by the workers and manager there. Alas, I only spent 1 night there as the rest of the nights were fully booked. The room I got was the blue room, with super spacious bathroom (filled with amenities of even a hair dryer) and an amazing decor. Breakfast was delicious and the reception was extremely helpful in explaining to us where to go and what to do nearby. If I were to come back to Bukhara, this would definitely be my go-to hotel to stay in.

As you enter the courtyard you are taken aback by the contrast between the streets outside and the quietness of its inner sanctuary. The room was clean, space to put your clothes away and the bathroom had a good shower. On our journey of Uzbekistan this accommodation has the most comfortable beds allowing for some great sleeps. Breakfast was inside the house in a large room where we had crepes, eggs and cakes. Walking away from the courtyard as we head towards old Bukhara and the market place, you get a feel of what it is like to live in the town: undulating pavements, dusty old roads with people going about their everyday lives in order to make a living. As we pass the last house we enter what can only be described as going back into the past. The old style buildings, the market stalls selling goods and the unmistakeable feel of past combined with present makes this journey something very special.

Sultan, the owner of Chor Minor, met us at the airport and after a short ride we entered the beautifully decorated house that should be our home for the next several days. For our wedding anniversary we got a pleasant surprise - a complimentary upgrade to the bigger room. The entire stay was the amazing experience; the family and the staff took care of us as we were their relatives, not the tourists. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the spacious bathroom, hot water 24x7, everything is working! The towels are changed daily (!) and bedsheets - every other day. All linens are pristine white and ironed (!). The location - could not be any better. The breakfast - always the freshest fruits and vegetables from the local market and the bread from the local bakery. There are plenty of food was served for breakfast that can satisfy any dietary requirements. We, the vegans, had plenty of choices, even delicious vegan pancakes. We also pre-ordered vegan dinners two times during our stay. One day it was a delicious vegan plov, and the next time - vegan mantu with the pumpkin. All was soo good that we eat everything and no food was left on the plate! Special thanks to Dilnoza for taking care of our needs. The simple review can't express how much we enjoyed our stay and how much we appreciate everything that was organized for us by loving family: a private trip to the market, excursion to the Emir's palace, the food, and hundreds of other small signs of Uzbek hospitality. Highly recommend!

This hotel is a good option. The service is magic and the breakfast is delicious. In addition, its rooms are very silent. The hotel has a swimming pool in a kindly yard. If you need a taxi, Azim will help you. Lots of thanks Azim from Spain!
