Hotels Near Dox In Dusseldorf
0.05km from DOXI have now stayed at this hotel a few times. The location is perfect: on a private island which is 15 minutes from everywhere: town centre, airport, train station and everything that Düsseldorf has to offer. A modern building built to high specs 10 years ago, with good accommodation, especially the river-facing rooms on high floors with wonderful views. But what makes it stand tall amongst the higher category Park and Grand Hyatts around the world is the unbeatable service. Led by Nina (Director of Ops) and Jana (bookings), the hotel is run like clockwork, with superb service from reception, concierge and all the staff at the restaurant. Everyone is clued up and greets you by name. Ask for anything and you can be sure it will be done. It must be one of the most efficiently-run hotel operations anywhere. I am impressed every time I visit, as are obviously the regular return guests, many of whom are Germans looking for a staycation. Highly recommended.
0.24km from DOXAs gold/platinum member I’ve stayed at many Courtyard hotels the past years, but this one -although the location is pretty good- had the worst management of all. When we arrived we were informed they ran out of room keys. As this hotel also has no ‘mobile key’, each time we wanted to enter our room or use the elevator we had to be escorted by the receptionist! This was very inconvenient and made us dependent on the availability of a receptionist, I never ever experienced this before - not even in lower quality hotels. We were not the only ones, also another couple (who was in the same group as us to be escorted to their room) was disappointed by this. The receptionist apologized (it had been a busy week) but this should never happen in a Marriott. After a day we informed ourselves if new room keys arrived and we finally got our own room key. I would have expected to get a message from the reception for this instead of informing ourselves. Finally, when leaving the hotel after 2 days they also ran out of parking garage coins to open the gate. The receptionist had to go to the gate and empty the machine to get me a coin. I expressed my disappointment about this stay to the receptionist, but this was not taken seriously. For the inconvenience he offered a small bottle of water which we already had in our room. All in all, disappointing quality for a Courtyard / Marriott. I hope the management improves soon.
0.26km from DOXThe Beginn of my stay already started negativ. I arrived in the afternoon after a long trip with my car. I was expecting to get a room immediately ... and get some rest. The fact that this wasn’t the case was not to be bad, to be honest but the way the receptionist informed us about it was just a bit rough and not very friendly. That was not a problem we were able to store the luggage but it left a bad impression. I had lunch and returned, the room was ready and a new receptionist was in action. We went up to our room and I was blown away by the stunning view! Check out my picture it was truly amazing 360 degree view of the skyline water and everything classic 10 out of 10 for the view. The rooms are great designed and looked pretty modern and nice. I have to say that I was not as happy with the overall condition of the furniture and the interior as I expected. I found some dirt from my pre visitor on the floor, it was some food rests which I really didn’t like. I mean the receptionist was holding a 15minute speech about how clean the hotel is and how bad all the other hotels are dealing with the corona situation ... I did not expect that. Also the shower was not that clean as I would have expected it and it kind of reminded me of a public shower in a waterpark. Sorry about that but that is just my opinion. On the website they communicate regarding corona and what measures are all done but they do not mention that the mini bar service which used to be included in the room rate is not available during corona. In fact the communicate that you can order stuff via tablet but that has never been heard by the hotel itself. I would suggest they check their own page for a change. I confronted the receptionist and that was really one of the worst experiences I ever had. First at all he felt so superior and he was talking me to dead. His point of view was: you can’t expect us to update our website (it is 2020, if I can’t expect that you should rethink your business) I should have called ahead (again if you don’t manage to maintain your website ... open a bookstore!) and that even though I had a written confirmation on my booking and they offered beverages I could not except the hotel to update the data on all portals. To me this is just a bad joke because if you do not have the technical competences to update your data on all the portals you are active, this has nothing to do with me as a customer but with you as not having the required competences to take part in your business. The way he was talking to me was not acceptable, his arguments were complete nonsense and I have never been treated like this before. Get your stuff together and don’t blame your customers for your lack of competence! The second night I was asking for new towels.. shouldn’t be a problem I was thinking ... but again it seemed to be a huge effort for the staff. I asked for two and received two towels with holes and spots. In this price point I should have returned them immed
0.34km from DOXWell located modern hotel near the Rhine and near the Fernsehturm, walking distance from the old city center of Düsseldorf. Quiet area, but still a lot of restaurants and fancy bars are close to the hotel property. Car parking under the hotel. Public transport available to take you to the Hauptbahnhof or elsewhere. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom with rain shower is trendy and big enough.
0.91km from DOXUsed the room to do an interview perfect location.
1.03km from DOXI worked in Düsseldorf for 4 days 3 nights and was lucky enough to be put up in the Holiday Inn. All was excellent I parked my van in a under ground secure car park for €19 per day the room was spacious and modern I had a bath which personally I enjoy after a days work. The breakfast was great and the food in the bar was well outstanding the ribeye steak medium rare was cooked to perfection. All the staff where friendly, great stay thank you
1.1km from DOXOur room was good and our breakfast was fine. I asked for an extra towel that seemed like a big ask. Most of the employees where very nice Plus I like the location. I have stayed there several times. For this I am not going down to a one star. When I arrived the person at the desk said I have to pay when I leave... whatever. But when paying on departure they kept saying my card was not accepted. I called the bank who said they are not seeing any charge must be a connection issue with the merchant. The bank noted I had just used the card 10 minutes before (booking a train reservation). We went through four or five of our cards all failed. I told them it was their machine. No not our fault. They told me to call the booking agent. I did who said they can not help. The person at the desk asked if I could be quite. I said no you are making us miss our train because your machine is not working. No it is not our machine. Meanwhile my wife was running a half mile away to find a cash machine. I called another one of the card companies (Going through yet another authentication process) who said it must be their connection as they are not seeing a charge. Finally she checks her machine. Oh yes it does not have a connection. At least she admitted it but this is 45 minutes into our check out process. Says it is not the hotels fault the card machine is not working... well it is not mine! Are you going to pay for my ticket since it is your fault that I cannot pay? No it is the card machines fault. Is it going to pay for my lost ticket or get me to Hamburg? My wife returns in a taxi with cash. I load the car. Person at the desk says we should have paid on arrival wife says we tried and where told we had to do it on departure. Missed our train had a hard time getting out as there was a festival in Düsseldorf (had I known that I would have changed itineraries). Just horrible customer service. I do not speak German maybe there is no word for sorry? I would not be giving this bad a review if they could have admitted or even tested their machine after I put 5 cards through it or had been at least slightly apologetic. If you have to stay here pay in cash because they will not even be nice about their machine failing.

1.57km from DOXI stay in Dusseldorf often for business, and I must say this is the best hotel I've stayed in yet. The location is perfect! It is just minutes from the old town, easily accessible for restaurants, shops, and the like, and also a few metres to the river. Despite being so central, it's readily accessible from the highways, and takes no time to arrive with driving in minimal traffic. There's a parking garage next door, and the hotel has special parking rates, which is perfect. The hotel is comfortable, with relatively spacious rooms, very fast internet, and decent amenities. I couldn't get my air conditioner to work, but opening a window did the trick. The bathroom was spacious, and most importantly, the shower was plenty big enough... not smaller than my shoe like in so many European hotels. Breakfast was good with lots of options. There's no bar or restaurant, but this is not necessary being so close to the Alt Stadt. It was a very pleasant stay, and I think now I have found my permanent hotel in Dusseldorf.
1.61km from DOXThe salad for breakfast is good! Hotel location is good, opposite the famous old station big elbow restaurant, it is especially convenient to buy health products in several pharmacies nearby. Not far from the company, it takes about 40 minutes to walk, and you can take a 74/76 bus directly at the door.
1.68km from DOXWe have stayed in this hotel many times over the past few years, this stay is the first, following an accident which has left me with disabilities which require the use of a wheelchair. The underground is a few minutes walk and caters for wheelchair users. Luckily I am able to manage some steps with assistance, which enables me to get in and out of the hotel, however, the hotel would benefit from a ramp/slope to assist anyone in a wheelchair or using a pram or pushchair. The single beds pushed together are comfortable, as is the single bedding. As always the room is spotlessly clean. I love looking out over the church but unfortunately, probably due to having a room with a shower and toilet grabrail, we are facing out the back onto a houses and a patch of grass (it could do with some bushes/ small trees or some landscaping to make it more pleasing to look at). The lifts are small but I am just about able to get myself, the electric wheelchair and one other person in the lift, so it works ok. We had breakfast for the first tim at this hotel, and it wont be repeated! It was not even worth 19 cent let alone 19 Euro per person! Worst breakfast ever! 10:30 on a Sunday and the bacon was dry, hard and inedible, as was the over cooked scrambled egg, the whole lot was also cold. They have a waffle maker - great, unfortunately, undercooked the waffles, so, again not great. I thought I would try some fruit salad.... it was tiny bits of chopped up fruit I think a mixture of fresh and tinned - but I am not sure. I ended up eating a roll (very nice as they always are in germany with jam). The fresh orange juice - you put whole oranges through a juicer, tasted awful- just a thick bitter sludge, tasting of orange skin. The whole breakfast was incredibly disappointing and an expensive waste of money and I wished I had gone out to the local bakery for fresh rolls or to the cafe round the corner. I hate food waste but we ended up with a whole table full of one bite eaten food in the hope of finding somthing to eat.
Hotels Near Dox In Dusseldorf Review
satisfaction! Hotel parking is more expensive! 20 minutes walk from the train station and the city! There are many Europeans in the hotel. The parking lot is very convenient on the third floor and the large supermarket on the first floor is very convenient for life!
It’s very close to the airport and it’s a five-minute walk. It’s very convenient to take a rest for a night if you are connecting. There is a supermarket on the arrival floor of the airport, which is convenient for shopping. The hotel has a restaurant, but one was opened during the epidemic. The original Japanese restaurant is not open anymore. .
I had 25 people traveling in from all over the world for to participate in the Allegheny Technologies Incorporated Leadership Development Program for managers. I had several options available to choose from between Dusseldorf and Cologne and I'm thankful I chose the InterContinental Hotel in Dusseldorf. I worked with Miriam Roettger in the sales department for two months leading up to the event and she was so helpful. Working via email when there is a 7 hr. time difference, cultural differences and language challenges can be a bit overwhelming; however, Miriam made this seamless. I arrived ahead of my group and check in was very quick and extremely friendly. The rest of my group whom were flying in from all over Europe had their flights canceled due to bad weather. I worked with the hotel to ensure this delay wouldn't impact our participants when they were in deed to arrive. Management was wonderful to work and assured me our participants would have a room upon their arrival. Both Mohammed Bouskri and Thomas Krieger from the Concierge desk were outstanding to work with and very attentive to our needs. They helped arranged transportation from the airport for our participants, recommended restaurants and helped make reservations. I wouldn't have been able to provide such a world class experience for our leaders without the help of Miriam, Mohammed or Thomas. I'd be remiss if i didn't mention the front desk service, everyone was so nice, kind and helpful. A very wonderful experience from day 1.
The breakfast was good and the location was good, ten minutes walk from the main fire of Duse, the hotel is on the subway, but the room is really small, really small, really small! And the bathroom decoration is average! Obviously the decoration of other hotels in Germany for 60 euros a night! It's only good to look outside, we regret it when we enter the room! Really not worth the price!
Well located modern hotel near the Rhine and near the Fernsehturm, walking distance from the old city center of Düsseldorf. Quiet area, but still a lot of restaurants and fancy bars are close to the hotel property. Car parking under the hotel. Public transport available to take you to the Hauptbahnhof or elsewhere. Pros - -Everything very clean -Large room -Good location -Friendly staff Negatives -Concierge wasn't very proactive. I first asked for a restaurant recommendation by the river and was told to go to the Grill House which was no where near the river. Second asked to book a specific Thai restaurant. It wasn't available which of course isn't there fault. But I wasn't given any other recommendations and just told it wasn't available. I would have at least expected them to offer some suggestions proactively. - The Maître D' at the lounge/restaurant was quite rude. He wouldn't even let me up the steps until i showed him my room key even after explaining I was a hotel guest and was simply trying to get to room. He physically blocked my entrence. It was very off putting and not at all welcoming. He apologised once I showed him a room key. -Room technology is showing its age and not working correctly. Room is controlled by touch screens of which only 1/2 of worked when we checked in and the other broke on the last night. This meant we couldn't control lighting, curtains and air con, was offered a new room but didn't change due to being 10pm at night. We switched off the room manually using the switch board. This should be checked before guests check in. -Spa and Pool area is bookable at the moment so due to Covid. We booked an hour and slot and somebody else was using the facilitates at the time we booked. No one was manning the door and we didn't want to share a sauna so we left. -Breakfast restaurant was full and we had to sit out in the lobby. I am not sure if all the diners were hotel guests but it would have been nice to give in house guests priority seating first. -No self service coffee was available in the living room due to covid which is totally fine. It would have been nice if the staff member proactively offered coffees and tea as a replacement. Overall it was an okay hotel but nothing special. Having stayed at the Capella in Singapore It definitely doesn't live up to the same standard.
