The check in process is terrible. Arrived at 4pm, upon check in, the reception asked me to wait for 10 mins as he want to check whether the room is ready. After 20 mins, I went and ask again he say he just want to go and check. After 10 mins, a family came in and checked in and got a room after 10 mins (4.40pm) and I still haven’t get my room. At 4.50pm only my room is ready to check in after I press on them somemore, if I didn’t press on them, I guess I will only get my room after 5pm. The reason they gave is the original room they allocate for me got problem, so they need to change another room for me. My point of view is, your description mentioned that we can check in after 3pm, you should get your room ready for customer by 3pm. Other than the check in process, the room was comfy and I had a good sleep. Maybe is just me unlucky with the check in process, it is still worth staying despite on the location near to Gurney and Georgetown.

When I check-in, 1 aircond unit was leaking, wet all over the floor and the small box below the aircond giving annoying sound even it is switch off. Immediately called up the owner, the housekeeping came in to do the mopping and that evening the tech came and repair. We were out for dinner when they came, but its repaired. However, when we came in, the living room aircond leaked, it as about 10pm. Called her up again and she told they will get the housekeeper come to do the cleaning up. Told them to come in next day. The tech came earlier next day, repaired done. We were out though. Happy with the immediate service but advice to the owner, please checked all the facilities inside the apartment before getting in guests to the apartment. Till then, good job and nice view from the 19th floor...

Great location, good amenities, friendly staffs at the reception and comfy room. Only improvement I feel that needs to be done is for them to be able to provide enough varieties of food for vegetarians. Room comes with breakfast but I had very limited choice in the menu since I am a vegetarian. When asked the FnB manager, he bluntly said not available. He could have at least made some efforts to explain to me what are the items that I can eat in the buffet.

Pros: spacious and suitable for big families. Kitchen is accommodated with lots of utilities and super nice view. Excellent wifi connection. 12 minutes walking distance to Gurney plaza. Cons: Check in process was very hassle. Trip.com didnt expose name or phone number of guest names. We ourselves had to get the contact number from the security guard upon arrival. The staff appeared at sharp 3pm to pass us the check in card and carpark. Booked 12 3A but ended up we got 8 3A on the same day. Cleanliness was 3/5 as we saw cockroach at living hall. Aircond at master room was dripping throughout the night and it really disturbed our sleep quality. When we called the pic, she informed that technician has repaired in the morning.

Very good stay in this hotel. The room's design comes with separate sliding door for living room with sofa bed, 2 toilets and 3 air conditional units. The modernized car park which is awesome as well, but not too convenient if you were always to pick up things from your car. A walking distance to New Lane food heaven. The internet was good as well. The only set back was the bed sheet, which have some undesired smell. Overall it was a good stay in this premise and will come back again if ever go to Penang again.

The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). Because it only opened in 2018, the hardware is very new, and the hygiene is good. I especially like to have a washing machine, but I have to find a place to dry the clothes indoors. The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed "Di Li" (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. On the second floor facing the street, the noise of motorcycles on the street is loud, which will affect the rest. These problems are not big, this hotel is worth recommending.

This is a newly opened hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, very quiet, and free parking at the door. The most important thing is that the boss is very nice, very enthusiastic and speaks Chinese! The location is also top-notch, it is easy to find, and there is a big night market at the door. I'm here to travel. The cause of the epidemic will not go away for a while. I have lived here for a while and I feel very good. I highly recommend it

The location of the hotel is very good, it is very small, two boxes can not be opened flat in the house. Going to the surname bridge, murals, museums and supermarkets are very close. There is a net red coffee outside the hotel, you must try it. The hotel started to take off your shoes from the door and it was clean. The black brother at the front desk is very enthusiastic. I will give you an introduction to the game. It will not be Chinese or English. Hotel breakfast is average, very small variety, coffee bread slices. Overall praise.

Irrespective you’re on vacation or on a business trip, this is one hotel that will never disappoint! Especially during this troubling and concern for health and safety, SAVV Hotel has taken upon themselves to practice Covid SOP at a commendable level. From the time one get one’s luggages and before entry, security will do sanitization on your belongings and the soles of every guests’ feet! Check ins are also done with safety protocols with staff wearing gloves to handle your IC and credit cards. Every touch surfaces like door knobs are with signs that it is frequently sanitized. The individual rooms are tastefully designed with all the amenities expected of a premium hotel but at affordable pricing. The bed linens, pillows are spotlessly clean and fresh Their staff are courteous, friendly and helpful at all times. Check it out in your next trip to Penang!!

This was a short trip to Penang and we wanted to try somewhere different. Seven Terraces certainly is! Unfortunately the address given on the hotel website isn't where the hotel reception is. The reception is on a parallel street. That was annoying. When i mentioned it to the receptionist.she said it was the fault of Google!!! Wrong!!! Our room (Stewart Apartment) was large and opulent and furnished with Nonya/Chinese antiques or reproductions. Beautiful. Our beds were extremely comfortable! We had veen led to believe that the apartment had two seperate bedrooms - in fact the seperate sleeping areas are on different levels but there are no doors so there is in fact little privacy. Also, the spiral stairs leading to the twin beds are steep and narrow and not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. All in all a pleasant stay but i felt a little bit disappointed and that the experience we had did not fully jistify the price we paid.

Unlucky I booked Deluxe room hoping to get more space for my son to roam around. When i checked in, they told me they ran out of Deluxe room. I insisted on having Deluxe room. Then few seconds later they gave me the 'Deluxe room'. When i went up, all i see is this (refer picture). I asked to change room. And the room is very very small. Breakfast spread also not same as i had before (last i stayed in 2019). One of the reason i booked because my mother loves their breakfast spread. But this time its very bad. Very limited choice of food. Their staff even dont even care to refill fresh juices, tea and coffee as they ran out of it. This is last time that i'll ever book to Royale Chulan Penang.

We stayed two nights 26-28 June. 1. Our room access was terminated on 27 June as they thought we stay only one night. Getting key replacement was a hassle. We waited quite long. 2. One of the reception staff deliberately gave us wrong email address for complaint. Was given xxx@tropicssuite.com instead of xxx@tropicseight.com after we said we are going to complaint about him having no eye contact at all and being no manners. 3. WiFi is totally unable to connect at room 702. Reported upon check in but nothing done to rectify the non connectivity. 4. On our second night, around 1.30am, there were loud noises came from upstairs. Guests were having party till 3am. The hotel management didn’t do anything about it. Room has no sound proof. 5. Leather sofa is a bit old with leather chipped off. Other than that all ok. Clean and spacious.

- good location at Georgetown (few minutes walking distance to Clan Jetty, Little India, street arts, museums) - stayed at level 4 (highest floor) with a view of heritage buildings - impressive & thoughtful design of the room (look new & clean) - in-room breakfast has been sent to the room on time as request but it is not worth the price (picture is only for illustration purpose, some dishes listed in the menu is not being served, coffee powder given instead of brew coffee) - shampoo and shower gel in very mini size bottle which are not really sufficient for two person - request for extra bottle of drinking water but been informed that it will be charged for RM3 - staff service need to be improved (slow check in and unprofessional telephone etiquette) but the one who sent us breakfast was helpful - free indoor parking (have to be careful of the narrow driveway) - poor Wi-Fi - water pressure in bathroom is a little low - air cond took quite some times to cold - beyond my expectation for a 3-star hotel, above average in overall, worth the price, will consider to stay again next time

I checked this hotel on Booking.com and all look nice. Actually, I got surprise when I saw it in Penang. The main gate is really small and we almost could not find it. Inside the hotel was a little bit old but it was still lovely with vintage decoration. A big inconvenience is the elevator could not run and we had to bring the luggage to the 4th floor by our hands. But fortunately, the staffs were reallt nice and helped us a lot (actually there's only one man helped us). The rooms are small and have no windows but all furnitures inside were great. Cool ac, soft bed and warm shower. From this hotel, you can move to other highlight points of Penang easily 😉

My check in was late at night. They had me booked in for the wrong dates despite my confirmation and they wanted full payment on arrival plus a cash deposit over and above the room cost. I insisted on seeing the room as the reception area was less than charming. The room was awful but it was now past mid night so I had no choice to stay for the one night. The room was dirty, there was grime on all the touchable surfaces, black in places. The level of cleaning was as if it had been done with the same filthy cloth for months on end. The paint was flaking off the walls and every panel of the built in furniture was worn out and damaged. The breakfast provided looked nothing like the pictures on the info cards, it was really poor quality and the dinning room was dingy and rather ugly. In fact the web site is totally misleading in representing the reality of the poor standard of the whole place. Seriously, give this hotel a miss.

Highly recommended stay at Apple 1 Hotel Times Square , Penang I couldn't believe the price that we paid (RM65 via Agoda ) for we get a very comfortable room with a bathtub! The room was spacious & clean! The hairdryer is strong as well. Only downside is that the carpark is limited & there is no refrigerator in the room. It is located next to Penang Times Square unfortunately that mall almost all retails is closed. However, it is of walking distance to a really good steamboat restaurant (their porridge hotpot is a must try) - 锅香府特色火锅专卖店 Guo Xiang Fu Steamboat Restaurant & in case you're a fan of Hand Made Tau Sar Piah & Tambun Biscuit, its of walking distance to 順香饼家 SOON HIANG Biscuit ! The former residence of Zhang Shishi is a little far from the attractions in the center of Georgetown, but it is acceptable. When I wandered around the door, I also met the cats who had been wearing the Elizabeth Circle. The hotel is very quaint, the decoration of the hotel room is quite a combination of ancient and modern, even the keys are old-fashioned bronze. The living experience is good. The three-person room we set is very large, but there is no need to live simply because we want to visit, because the place to visit is not particularly attractive, it is a typical Nanyang style building. There are not many breakfast styles and the taste is just as good. The reception staff's service attitude is not bad, only English communication, but the other one is just like the general, I feel very impatient.

First of all, let’s praise the location with perfect scores. Mural Street and the Last Name Bridge are nearby. A little further away are Shantou Street and Little India. Then the front desk was very good. We arrived first. The guests cleaned as soon as they checked out and allowed to move in first. Cleaning service was available every day. After staying for three days, it rained for three days. They also lent us the umbrella and gave us a free map of Penang. Let me talk about the problem 1 The bathroom is not separated from dry and wet. The whole bathroom will be wet after taking a shower 2 The sprinkler is broken and the water leaks seriously. 3 The air conditioner will make abnormal noises, too loud 4 The sound insulation effect is relatively poor. People who sleep lightly will affect their sleep In addition, remember to bring bathing and washing supplies, such as toothbrush and toothpaste, not provided

This hotel is the reconstruction of the Fuzhou Guild Hall. A hundred years ago, the southern Chinese ancestors came to Malaysia to mine tin ore and rubber as a symbol of overseas unity. The ancestral hall was built in a nostalgic hotel in the old city. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy. The air-conditioning is quiet and no noise. The parking is convenient. The various facilities are worth the price. After all, there are fewer foreign tourists during the epidemic period. I know that this is not the service attitude that hotel owners would like to see. Please pay attention to your middle-aged Indian fat man. The taboo of the impolite service industry is to oppose the guests. The room I booked shows that there is a window but the room 106 is windowless. Checking in with the room card is about 5 pm and entering the room within 30 seconds. Go downstairs and ask if you can change rooms. As a result, the Indian man had a black face and said that he wanted me to take my luggage downstairs again before he was willing to change my room. The room had no value at all. Why should I treat the guests like this? It just means not thinking from the guest’s standpoint, this fat Indian man A bad smell, bad breath is unpleasant. Do not wear a mask. Ask the boss to fire this kind of person directly so as not to affect your business. I contacted Ctrip's customer service and called this Indian and was scolded. Is this Indian the boss? In the end, when I asked, it was just a general employee. I believe that this employee did not tell the truth about the matter. Please understand the boss. After all, the Chinese hospitality should be passed on. In fact, I'm here to help the hotel to give a good comment, because I saw that the hotel hasn't been praised by the guests in the picture above, and the check-in of Chinese tourists also accounts for an important part. It will definitely help to open entry in the future. By the way, praise the Chinese aunt with glasses in the middle of the night and the Indian girl the next morning. The service is very good. Pros The hotel is new looking and great location, just behind komtar and walking distance to around the food court and night market. Under ground parking have sufficient parking too. Cons Consider of bringing kids and baby, I choose a 4 stars Hotel by Shangri-La to expect a clean environment and better service. But unfortunately the cleanliness is bad. I can see dust at the racks, lamps and in cabinet. My baby was sleeping in the sofa bed and get bitten by dust mite. The toilet in white design but can see yellow stains is everywhere in the bathroom. This is very bad cleanliness as a 4 stars Hotel. Besides, the sound proof is bad also as I can heard upstairs people jumping at night. No signboard or early information saying that there is no lift in car park and I only realise after I park my car. So I have to carry all my luggage and walked up to the lobby thru the car lane.

What a lovely hotel! For the price I was paying, I was not expecting much. But everything, from the hospitality to the room, was amazing! The room itself is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and wonderful to come back to after a long day of wandering. The air conditioner works great, the shower has actual hot water (not a given in Malaysia, I've found), and the bed is comfortable. The hotel provides extra little touches, like fantastic, thick, large towels for the bathroom and daily water bottles. Netflix and Youtube are connected through the tv, so you always have options. And I was thoroughly impressed by the housekeeping staff, who seemed to do a deep-deep clean every morning. The location is excellent. It's not in the center of downtown, so you don't have the noise and craziness, but it's only a short walk away. Even better, it's super close to Komtar, the main bus terminal. If you are going anywhere too far to walk (or if you don't want to walk far when it's 90 degrees outside!) the free CAT bus and all of the other intracity buses are only a couple of blocks away. It was perfect for coming in on the ferry - I hopped on the free CAT bus, got off at Komtar and walked 5 minutes. I understand as well that the hotel will lend out bikes for use of the guests, but that's not my thing. Something that won't matter to a lot of people, but I loved, was that there are 3 incredible vegan restaurants within a 5-minute walk of the place and great coffee places only a block or two away. Wifi was good. Other than a blip one night when it was slow (I think it was a provider thing, not the hotel), I was getting 15mbps download speed. If I return to Penang, this will definitely be where I stay. Highly recommend!

The room is big and beautiful. It’s not the hotel’s problem. Although it’s quiet during the day except for bird calls, I really can’t stand singing K loudly around two or three in the evening until midnight. I want to cry without tears! I don’t know if it’s only on weekends/holidays. We happened to be staying in the New Year’s Eve and the first and second day of the new year. It’s best to wear earplugs! In addition to the constant firecrackers, how could Jay Chou's song in the first and second grades of the first and second grades be so unpleasant? Although this quaint heritage hotel is beautiful and distinctive, it is basically not soundproof at all. People upstairs can hear every step of their walk. Those who are afraid of noise are best to choose the room upstairs.

Located in the heart of George Town, walking distance to Little India and large shopping malls. From the airport to the hotel, you can use the grab car dispatcher app for less than 500 yen, so it is highly recommended for those who have a large carry case. In addition, there is a jacuzzi and a BAR on the roof, and two drinks per person per day are free of charge (soft drinks such as red wine, white wine, cola etc. are available) I used the laundry service because I stayed for 4 nights, but came back with a smell of a fragrant softener.
