I stayed here with my husband whilst driving back to the UK. I really chose it as it would mean we wouldn't have to drive too far into the centre of the city as we were only staying one night. The staff were all very friendly and the room was nice. There's not a lot in the area, mainly pizza and take away restaurants but it's not far into the main part of the city. Parking is good for the hotel, secure. Although it is a little confusing when you arrive as its not well sign posted and the street is one way and can be busy. We did not have the breakfast but were able to have coffee and take away fruit which was nice. All in all a fine place to stay.

It was nice weekend in Aachen, but BIG disappointment regarding swimming pool. It is not swimming pool - more like "pond" hahahha there was dinning tables around, noooot place for relaxing swimming 🤦🏼‍♀️ Rooms was just after opening -than why was not really cleaned good -dust inside the closet, stains on the glass from the shower or hairs on the carpet ..... 🤷🏼‍♀️ Fridge in the room was not working ! Chocolate left on the table was overdate. Breakfast, a specially in the Sunday- terrible! For this price there was not even croissant?!? Not much to eat -regarding variety. Dinner, tasted like salt mine 😆😆 it was impossible to eat hahaha I did asked for late checkout, around 15:00, answer - extra pay 25€ .... seriously? in time when hotel is informing guest that the rooms gonna be clean after 24h from checkout, we couldn't get free 3h ? Hotel in general, hade nothing special. Place like many 🙃

The Novotel Aachen is centrally located in the heart of the imperial city, just a few minutes' walk from the historic old town, cathedral and Eurogress conference center. The 154 rooms are air-conditioned, sound-proofed and very spacious, with WIFI, a desk, sofa and tea/coffee-making facilities in an innovative design. The restaurant offers regional and international dishes, along with the bar and large sun terrace. Relax in the steam bath housed within the fitness area, which looks out across the city.

I am traveling freqently in Europe. In Aachen I was third time. The Hotel is situated a little far from city center but it is about 15 minutes by foot. Also there is a Bus Line 51 near of the hotel which goes to the city center. On my arrival i was pleasently met by mr.Etner he was very polite and helpful. Also I had my best friend visiting me the receptionist was very discreet which I Liked. The room I ve booked was at the second floor with a terrace. Room was spacious and clean they changed my bath towels daily. The breakfast was basic to survive a cold German Winter and it was served till 11:00am. Overall this hotel is good choice for travelers on budget also the hotel situated near Karolus Thermen and Kurgarden it is nice quet area. However near the Hotel is a Gus Station but it is closes at 22:00pm and the big road. The only negative side is the no soundproof tech. It is very well heared from the coridor if somebody opens and closes doors of the rooms. But overall for the budget price it is a good and convinient stay clean room the bed was very comfortable I slept very well, good breakfast. Next time would stay there again.

One of our favorite hotel chains to stay wherever I stay for travel . Clean, great service and a a very nice perk : mini bar included which after a tiring day of activity really brings added value . Something you don't see anymore in other hotels , if they even have a minibar still.

Really basic room but anyway nice and clean. Friendly staff. Near the city center that is easy to reach walking. A good solution for a business trip. TV quite small and without Italian channels. Easy to use even the free wifi. No comment about breakfast that was not included.

I booked to stay for one night as we were visiting the Aachen Christmas market. I chose the hotel because of the location and proximity to the market. I was slightly wary after reading reviews of the hotel however, I had nothing to worry about. We got a taxi to the hotel because we had heavy luggage however you can walk to the hotel, it takes about 15-20 minutes. A taxi from Aachen HBF was only 8 euros. The hotel is quite disguised from the outside but we found it ok. We buzzed the door and we were let in. You have to walk up some stairs to get to reception but then there is a lift from reception to the rooms. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We went up to our room on the fourth floor. You do have to walk over an outdoor balcony to get to the rooms but it was fine. Our room was lovely and cosy. It was clean and tidy and we were very happy with it. The hotel is a two minute walk to the shops and the Christmas market. A great location! The breakfast was very yummy and there was lots of choice. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, it really made our stay special. I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a great nights sleep, a wonderful breakfast and a great stay!

Paying public parking in street (meters). Very small, only 1 person at the reception with no around the clock coverage like in standard hotels. No elevator. Rooms are fine, nice balcony with view and vines (overgrown).

Booked this hotel for 1 night as I was planning to visit Aachen and the surrounding areas over the weekend. Was also curious to try out the Hampton Inn brand in Germany (my first Hampton Inn stay in Germany). The rate I booked was not too bad (although I was surprised it was not lower especially with the current situation - but I did noticed that the hotel was quite full, so I guess demand is still there) Location The hotel is located in what seems like a new housing area (the housing area at the back of the hotel is clearly very modern) and very close to the (again seems new) football stadium for the city football club, Tivoli. From the hotel it is about 20-30 mins by foot to the city centre of Aachen - I would recommend to do this walk if you are in Aachen by car, able to walk and do not want to pay the car parking fees (I just realized at quite a number of large German cities that even on Saturday's street parking is payable until 9pm and they don't seem cheap). Although there seems to be also payable street parkings at the housing area around the hotel - although I am not sure until what time and if it's the same as the city centre. I find the move of these German cities quite strange even with the understanding that they are trying to green up the city centre and not encourage car usage. Check In I was actually surprised that for such a rather new property, no digital key was on offer. I did still however do an online check-in and selected my room (as booked). Arrived late afternoon after 5 pm and there was quite a line at the front desk. Waited for about 10 mins before it was my turn. At check-in, the usual run down of current operations was done and I had to make a reservation for breakfast the next day - which for the first time, I could not get the time I wanted as it was already full, however luckily they do have also the option that you can come down and grab what you want and bring it to your room, which increased the flexibility of it. I was also informed of my benefits as an elite member (only snacks/drink from the pantry and none from the bar - which I believe it was closed) Room The room size and design was the exact same cookie cutter as the Hampton Inn's that I've stayed in the Netherlands. Even down to the brand of toiletries on the wall mounted bottles (Spa Thermal). The room did still have a water boiler and 2 cups and 2 glasses, however there was no tea/coffee sachets. There was however a note offering guests complimentary coffee/tea down at the front desk (which I believe is actually at the bar/breakfast area) - I did not partake in this. It was however a very good (and inexpensive) alternative compared to even some full service hotels within the Hilton change (looking at you Hilton Dusseldorf) for removing completely this facility with no alternative. Furthermore, there was another note in the room informing guest that they understand the reduced in service/facilities but if there was anythi

The B&B Hotel Aachen-City provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The B&B Hotel Aachen-City offers a pleasant stay in Aachen for those traveling for business or leisure. I have stayed in this hotel quite a number of times and I never get disappointed. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. My room was quite small, but it was very clean, fully functional and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. There was sufficient storage space for the clothes, there was a water cooker with complimentary tea and coffee, and a safe large enough to fit my 15" laptop, plus some other valuables. The bathroom was really small, but had a nice shower. It was also very clean and everything worked fine. The two things I was less impressed with were the desk and in particular the chair. This is not suitable at all to sit at for a longer period of time. Working from your hotel room is not such a good idea with this kind of chair. I also think there should be some thin curtains or another way, like blinds, to block the view from the buildings on the other side of the street. You're completely exposed now and that is not pleasant. The regular curtains block all light, which is fine to sleep, but it does mean you either are visible to many others, or sit in the dark with the lights on. Regarding the furniture and also in the bathroom, there were some signs of wear and tear. Not a big deal, but it doesn't make a good impression either. The breakfast buffet is superb and I can highly recommend taking it. The food items are fresh, delicious and of very high quality. There are also many choices. The location of this hotel is really convenient. It is literally just a few minutes away from all the famous city sightseeing locations and stores in Aachen. Last, but certainly not least, I was there while the COVID-19 outbreak started to hit really hard. Hotel attendance already appeared to be low, but I admire the staff that under these circumstances provided the same great service and friendliness.

We stayed one night on our way home from France and had 2 double rooms booked. We found them to be spacious and clean - in fact they were really great. The hotel was easy to find from the motorway. The personnel was very kind and helpful. Checking in and out went smoothly. The breakfast was fine and just what we needed to start the day. Within walking distance (5 minutes), theres a steak/burger restaurant and an italian restaurant - we tried the latter of the two and it was quite good. Theres also a Burger King just across the street from the hotel. All in all a good experience and we will not hesitate to book another night here. And we can strongly recommend it for others as well.

Excellent value for money. The hotel is located near the Aachen Railway Station. From the train station, turn right and take the 1-200 meter. Very convenient, we lived in the twin standard room, originally thought that near the train station, the price is relatively civilian, the hotel environment will be average. When checking in, I saw that the lobby on the first floor was spacious and bright, with various facilities, billiards, many sofas and small round tables, bookshelves, ATM machines, coffee machines, freezers, and bar counters. Both yellow postboxes can accept international postcards. The problem is that the check-in time is 3 pm, early arrival, you can put in the luggage room. The room is wider than the city, at least much better than Paris, the sanitation is also very good, the bathroom is hygienic and bright. There are hand sanitizers, two-in-one bath, bath towels, and sheets, but other comments say that these things seem to be incomplete in the dormitory room, I am not sure. In addition, there is no air conditioning in the room, the bathroom is a natural exhaust vent, and there is no exhaust fan. We checked in at the beginning of October and had no effect. It is estimated that there is no problem in winter and there is heating in the bathroom and the room. I want to clarify a problem. Although I am squatting at the train station, I don’t feel the noise of the train when I close the window at night, or the train noise is not as big as some netizens said. Maybe some girls have poor sleep quality. Also, Chinese restaurants can be found nearby. We have been to two cities, namely City Garden and Jinlong Hotel. The city garden is about 15 minutes walk from the buffet hot pot. One person is 19.8 Euros, the dishes are complete, the drinks are free, we both Drinking two large bottles of Sprite, his home cooking is not expensive, a dish is about 13 euros, the price of vegetarian dishes is almost the same, as long as the order, it is free to provide rice, rice is not limited, the amount of food is enough for our northeast boys eat. Jinlong Hotel, walking distance is also about fifteen minutes, cooking is one or two euros more expensive than the city garden, the environment is very good, there are roast duck. From the hotel to Aachen University of Technology, a taxi is about 13 Euros, and the bus is 2.7 Euros per person.

Staying in a hotel in my home town is different and my expectations were high. However, I was not disappointed. The location, just outside the city is quiet, connections are great and the service is perfect. Breakfast was as good as at home - and I like my breakfast!

We stayed at this hotel during the weekend to visit Aachen's Christmas Market. The hotel looked very well maintained and very clean. The staff are friendly. I find the price a bit too high for what the actual room offers. There were 4 of us and they provided 2 singles beds and a sofa bed. There were drinks in fridge but it wasn't very clear to us if it was included or not. A bottle of wine was on the table with a price tag but the other drinks did not specify any price. If it was included in the price, then its a bit dissappointing because we would have not bought drinks from outside. It is advertised as a 4star hotel however, they do not provide slippers nor toothbrush. If I am not mistaken, you have to pay extra for it which is weird because being a 4 star hotel, this amenities should be complimentary. I sent an email prior to our arrival asking about the breakfast price. I was told that it costs €14- per person if you book it on check in. We were not asked about it when we checked so we asked it in the evening and they said it is €19- per person. Very overpriced considering Aachen is not an expensive city so we decided not to have it. I found the discrepancy dissappointing. Unless there is no other options, I would not consider going back.
