After all, it is the brand of Accor Group. The overall style, layout and facilities are very visual and the overall decoration materials will be high-grade, mainly based on wood grain materials. Situated on the banks of the Rhine, it is quiet, but it is not very convenient to travel. It is at least 40 minutes walk from the cathedral, the nearest chocolate museum is also ten minutes, and the nearest railway traffic takes 10-15 minutes. The overall service was very good. Arrival at noon was also arranged. On the last day, the price may have risen. I also sent cakes and sparkling water.

The hotel is located on the banks of the Rhine, directly opposite the Chocolate Museum, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Cologne Cathedral. The location is very convenient for sightseeing! However, the parking lot entrance is located in a rather inconspicuous intersection behind the hotel. After driving past the hotel's main entrance, I need to turn right at the first light exit, then turn right at the first intersection and see the small community stadium on the right. Go in the small intersection a few meters in front. There is a NHhotel parking sign at the small intersection but you can easily miss it if you don't pay attention! Parking fee for hotel guests will be discounted, remember it is 17 euros a day, non-hotel guests seem to be 25 euros a day. The garage can reach the elevator directly to the lobby through a series of automatic induction doors. The hotel's check-in is very strict, and it can only be checked in after 3 pm. If you arrive earlier, you can use the time to visit the surrounding chocolate museum. Hotel front desk service is great, breakfast can be booked in advance, the price is discounted, one 19 euros, rich and delicious, no less than many domestic five-star high-end hotels! After staying in the room, it felt like a great value experience after comparing with so many hotels at home and abroad. Not only was it spacious, but the bedroom and the entrance hall were separated by a door. The privacy and sound insulation were very good! The bathroom is also a high-end and neat configuration, great! As a reminder, German hotels generally do not have disposable slippers and dental appliances. If necessary, you must contact the front desk to ask for them, and they will usually be delivered to the room separately. Overall the NHHOTEL experience is great! Highly recommended :)

Booked a room at a non-refundable rate. We were informed after payment that our room number will be 1 (it is located on the 1st floor). However, when we arrived we were given keys to the 12th room on the 4th floor. There is no elevator in the hotel and we, with a small child and 2 suitcases, went up the stairs to the 4th floor, after which my husband had an asthma attack. For the convenience of the room - the room is tiny, the bed is one double (the three of us were already cramped), there is no kettle, no refrigerator, wi-fi worked, the room has a small table and 1 chair, toilet and shower, 3 towels. Room price includes breakfast. It was excellent, freshly sliced from sausage, cheese, salad greens, milk, pastries, coffee beans, toasts and jam. The hotel is located near the airport (2-stop S-19 train) in the Kalk chapel. Taxi to the airport 30 euros.

Breakfast is average, variety is okay, there is no omelette for making omelette, fool! Almost all cold, the orange juice is not as good as on the plane, and the bread and sausages are not bad. Don't talk about the service, it's pretty bad. The first few people are all noisy, red ears and red ears, just to charge more! No matter what country people are noisy, this is what happened. It ’s raining all day, just ask if there is an umbrella in the room, say no, there is nowhere, not even the front desk, everything is right, which is a 5 star hotel?

Great hotel and a fantastic experience. From the first moment we walked in we felt so welcome. Sara was our contact person and she really did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. The hotel was nice and the rooms very clean. We had the pool to ourselves so this was nice too. We wanted to check out on Sunday 14:00 instead of 11:00 (regular time) and Sara & Vanessa arranged this for us. Really great ladies thank you so much! I would recommend this hotel to anyone if you are in Cologne! We will definitely come back in the future and hope to see you again ladies!

I wanted to do simple city trip in the best economic way .no planning at all , As Single traveller.took ECE fast train from Amsterdam-Köln. Arrived 2,5 hours later and start to navigate walking to Nuemarkt (long walk) next time take Lime step . In street around there found A&O Older building but inside the lobby simple but nice! Coffee takeaway / tables for game or internet tv screen , Snacks to eat it’s al there . I was happy. Friendly youngster logged me in the system I get a door opening card a number room and direction explained friendly ! I brought only small backpack. I was in a 4 person room with toilet and separated shower al clean. I checked the room. No safe space to leave my small bag in the room. So I took it out with me sightseeing the city. For big suitcases the had a storeroom at lobby. For small stuff a safe with a key under the bed .key to rent at lobby. in the night after city visit it was day and night walk in the lobby . And snacks or coffee available. I had to be silent others maybe slept allready in my room. I climb up the bed one stock high. And had a wonderfull sleep. I felt safe here. In the morning my other companions strangers waked up separately. And we socialize a bit. The diffrent languages. And use shower toilets etc give eachother space. I left to the restaurant for the breakfast 9,50 extra. The foods where good international breakfast bread 🥖 serial coffe tea fruits all was enough for everyone. Youngster schools teachers older travellers all was eating on small and large tables. It’s a very good way to see köln and save money to go to this simple but clean Hostel . I recommend the use of a Lime step ( roller ,scooter) I used the app to download and my payments by PayPal. Or u can use any typ of prepaid(creditcard) The step scooter 🛴 Lime or other brand have nothing to do with A&O hotels. It’s or own responsibility to use, But it’s a great way to see Much More of City Köln ! I visit for example my favorit MUSICSTORE Köln for as you love to play instruments ! Köln is a very safe city but be responsible for your belongings yourself! I felt much more safer then Amsterdam for example. Happy travel everone ! Enjoy A&O Hotel Forget Expensive safe money to spend in the beautiful city. Foods and restaurants are really cheap and the food is the best in Germany 🇩🇪.

Run away from it. they do not honour prices, never seen an attitude like theirs. On Monday (Dec. 14 2020) I started browsing for a hotel in Cologne, Germany, and found a room at this Classic Hotel Harmonie with an attractive rate, before booking I contacted the hotel by phone to ask about policy regarding refundable rates, because due Covid, the city might have a lockdown and I would loose my payment. I told the employee I wanted to make a refundable reservation, either by phone or online, she gently replied to me that I should send an e-mail to the hotel informing the dates, name of guests and etc, and that another hotel staff member would contact me in order to inform about refundable rates. I did that, and she acknowledge receiving my e-mail, I replied to her asking if wouldn’t be better if I booked the hotel room right at that moment at the price advertised while waiting for them to check the refundable rates policy. She replied that there wouldn’t a need for that and that I should wait for the hotel staff return to me. Today (December 16 2020) I received an e-mail informing that due to a fair that will happen in September the new prices were 402,90€/day instead of the 77,70€ that were available on Monday. I immediately called the hotel, the first person I talked to wasn’t available and the new staff member told me that they didn’t know about the fair, and since I haven’t booked when I saw the good price they couldn’t do it right now, and she even told me that should I have booked on Monday, even so they would increase my price. this to me is greed and dishonesty. So I suggest all travellers try booking some other hotel, because this one might give you headaches.

The location is very good, and it took a few minutes to walk out of the train station with large luggage. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The European rooms are always mini. This one is very good, with complete facilities, and those who say that this does not provide that does not provide, many European hotels are like this, environmental protection, there is a need to find the front desk. The breakfast at this price is very good. I was surprised. The young lady who had breakfast is very kind and friendly, and the uncle who checked out was also very happy.

I expected not much from a youth hostel to be honest. I was instantly wowed by the friendly and helpful staff and even more so by my room. I took a single room, and it was really well laid out, clean and simple. The view of the green area and the Rhine is beautiful, however, be aware that at night there is a lot of noise from the young people in the fire pit outside (it is a youth hostel after all!). The rooms don't have aircon and it's impossible to open windows to let air in because in wooded green areas there are a lot of insects. I tried the food in their restaurant. It was great value for money and very tasty indeed. The staff again, they were very friendly. The location of the hostel is in walking distance of the U-Bahn into town (about 5 mins walk to the station) and there's a zoo virtually next door if you have some spare time. Let's talk about the amazing breakfast finally. Please, if you can, book an inclusive breakfast. The food is enough to keep you full for a good long while if you have a busy day, so, stock up on quality food and drinks. I love their breakfasts! So to sum up: this is a great hotel, good people, a bit noisy at times, amazing quality of food, drink and the stay was really, really good with everything in a commutable distance. I will definitely be back!

This hotel was absolutely amazing. I actually can’t describe in words how kind the staff were in this hotel. When I got there I was really exhausted from my journey to this city, but the friendly greeting in this hotel immediately made me feel welcome! The guy who helped me check in was very friendly. When I booked the room throughout this website I made a request to have a quiet room. When I arrived in the room I could really see they were really thoughtful about choosing the room, because it was really quiet and far away from the other rooms, so you won’t hear the foot steps or doors slamming at night. Also wanted to thank the friendly guy who was working on the afternoon shifts (Thursday 2 September and Friday 3 September). He was very kind and patient whenever I would ask something. My English sometimes gets a little lost in the translation, but he didn’t made me feel rushed and took his time to understand what I trying to say. He is true gentleman! When I was ready to leave there was a lovely lady ready to help me with the checkout. What I really liked about her that she was not only polite, but also genuine and very kind! The room, where I was staying in, was also very clean. Which made me feel comfortable to stay in this hotelroom. I couldn’t wish for anything else during my stay. Please, if you are visiting Cologne and if you are looking for a nice hotel to stay in, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We knew that reception opening time was till 22:00 and therefore i wrote, in the booking note, "late checkin, our flight will land at 21.25".  I thought that someone was waiting for us to checkin, it was just a matter of 30min. When we arrived, around 22:30, we found the door closed, we rang the bell, but nobody was answering.  We then tried to call the hotel emergency number, none answered. Worried abut the situation, it was night and we were on the street without any accommodation.  We then went into the restaurant beside the hotel entrance and fortunately we found a girl very kind to help us. She also tried to call the emergency number without success. After 5 calls, finally someone answered the phone, but unfortunately she was not able to speak English. I don't speak German, unfortunately, and I passed my phone to the girl of restaurant that talked to the girl from the hotel emergency number. She said that our code was 888, but neither us and the restaurant girl were able to find a pin pad to type this pin. The guy at the phone did not have an idea on where this pin pad could have been. After at least 20 minutes and other 2 calls, the hotel guy told us that the pin pad was in the street close to the ring bell, something really invisible, especially in the night. We finally got the key and entered our room. Together with the key, we got a welcome letter. Unfortunately it was in German and therefore we were not able to read it. Is it a good welcome? When we entered the room, we immediately noticed that it was not very clean and the bathroom even worse. The wc was really dirty (see pictures). We also noticed that a lot of long hairs were on the room/bath floor and on the table. We also found long hairs on bed sheets (see picts). Only half roll of toilet paper was available. We could not fix our issues because in the meanwhile the restaurant closed and if we had called the hotel emergency number, we would not have been able to communicate. The following day, we talked to the receptionist and he really apologized for what happened. He also changed our room, fortunately. We have finally asked for a late checkout for the next day, since our flight is at 22:00. We requested checkout at 18:00 and expected an immediate positive answer, after all problems we had, but the receptionist said that had to ask the boss. After a couple of hours we asked again and she said that we need to wait for tomorrow morning for his answer. The next day, late checkout was denied because the cleaning staff had to clean (?) the rooms. While leaving the hotel, we saw the bed sheets were left (during cleaning service) on the floor ... without any protection and we fully understand why the bed sheets were full of hairs... Having the room not fully cleaned can happen also in the best hotels, but usually a good customer care can fix immediately the issues and maybe add something complimentary to the impacted guest, just to give a strong sign of sorry. We haven't received anyth

You cannot go wrong if you choose this hotel. It is steps from the Dom, Ludwig & Roman Museums and a 5 minute walk to the train station. I traveled alone and appreciated the safety of the area and did not have to walk long distances to get back and forth. My room was spacious and spotless. The friendly hotel staff speak English. The breakfast was very good. The offerings were a typical German breakfast with cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, granola. I did not have a view of the Dom, but a dramatic view of the Rathaus and Great St. Martin's and the rooftops of Cologne so I did not miss out on a view. I can't be more complimentary about the location. You are walking distance to the Altmarkt, Heumarkt and the Rhine. Note: even if you do not stay at this particular hotel, I would stay in one in close proximity. There are larger hotels at Neumarkt, but it is a bit of a walk (through the shopping district) to get the the Dom and the museums. I walked past some of the hotels on the other side of the train station (away from the Dom). These were more residential streets and as a I was traveling alone, I didn't like the feel of the neighborhood. My hotel location let me go see the Dom facade lit up and spend some time in contemplation of that magnificent building rather late. The wifi is an UNSECURED hotspot. It was hard to log on. If you really care about staying secure, make sure that you have a really good cellular plan. I am not sure if this is typical for German hotels.

During the exhibition, house prices rose sharply. I found this hotel with a good price-performance ratio. The service of the German brother at the front desk was great. The room is quite large, can accommodate two people, the decoration is simple, the toilet is a bit small, the sound insulation is not very good, it has no effect on people like me who are easy to fall asleep, the rest is not lost, the hotel also sent a bottle of sparkling water Not bad!
