2.13km from A Padoca Sao BentoI have stayed in this hotel for an extended period of more than 20 days for work. Here is my honest balance of its pros and cons: + Positive + Great location, so close to good bars, restaurants, bookshops and museums in the Savassi and Liberdade areas. Easy for public transport and Uber always on hand. On Sunday mornings streets nearby are closed for jogging and cycling. Breakfast is generally good and well served with plenty of pao de queijo. Staff is happy to prepare omelet and fried eggs. Restaurant and cleaning staff are very friendly. Room was spacious and clean with a decent desk. I stayed in one of the top floors and noise was not really an issue. It can really be if you stay in the sister Boulevard Express around the back facing a street full of bars. Small but handy fitness room with a couple of treadmills - Negative - Hidden charge. This is a big minus. When I checked in I was told that I had to pay all my stay in advance. It came with an extra 10% that is not clearly indicated in the online booking. When I asked what was that for, I was told 'service tax'. My question, what kind? Government tax? 'No from the hotel'. What for? Then they were unsure what to say and said it was for coffee and cleaning. As I stayed for a long time it was a substantial increase in my budget. Really not happy with that. Staff at reception could be friendlier. They often tended to be frowning and too busy to greet guests. The breakfast is generally good but fruit juices were not natural and tasted chemicals. Poor wifi signal. I told them in advance that I would like to be in a room with a good wifi signal. It often failed. Rooftop pool could be much better presented Laundry and ironing prices are inflated. I was given the advice to instead go to Laundromat near the Central Market. What I paid for a full bag to be washed and dried was what the hotel charges for one shirt.
