Hotels Near Dragon Fire In Tampa
0.34km from Dragon FireMy mother and I stayed at this hotel for 6 weeks while she went through treatment at Moffit. The staff was awesome! The GM Mark Clausen is amazing, he is hands on and encourages his staff to work as a team. We saw him every morning and he always greeted us as if were part of his family. My mom felt very comfortable there. David, is another employee working there at the front desk, he is also wonderful. He was very helpful, personable and always had a smile on his face. This hotel is safe and very clean. There is also a shuttle to get you were you need to go.
0.66km from Dragon FireI come here a lot and never have any problems. Due to Covid, they are NOT serving breakfast and they have taken the coffee pots out of the room. Other than that, everything is good. They might want to clean the pool a little better as well, even though we are going into winter. But this is Florida where the weather is always sunny.
0.7km from Dragon FireThe area feels less secure. Many people who live in it look like nomads, the room is clean, the front desk service is generally There is a family-style Chinese restaurant outside, the taste is ok, but the side is not suitable for walking.
0.76km from Dragon FireI booked a room here through Hotwire. I love that company and usually get an amazing room. Hotwire said this was a 2.5 star, but that is wrong. It should’ve been 1.5 stars and I overpaid by at least $30 to $35. Drove around building and it was way too scary, just felt unsafe. We entered through the front doors. There is an awful smell throughout. Room was incredibly run down, as the tv didn’t work at all, room smelled of mold, chain/bar lock was ripped off and we had to keep our shoes on the whole time as floor just felt dirty. Bed was somewhat comfortable, but double beds. Shower also felt good. At 5:11am someone tried entering our room and again shortly after 8am. Breakfast was sad. Just not much there. I wanted to leave our car there for the day and walk to Busch Garden as you can see the parking lot from the motel, but my husband didn’t feel safe so we paid $25 to park just two blocks away. We would not stay here again.

1.33km from Dragon FireI think the other reviews have covered some of this disappointment with staff, but the state of the hotel itself is not up to human standards. Within moments of walking to our room, we knew this was not a good choice. but since we were only planning one night for a visit to Busch Gardens, sitting in the room for more than 20 minutes we started getting itchy legs, and sure enough the next day we had bites on them. when you looked at then environment, the police coming to arrest people on the carpark, the smell of sweat and smoke (weed) in the room. and the obvious prostitution, its not somehwere you'd want to stay with your kids. so we handed the key back and went (not very far away) to a brilliant hotel that was only $30 dearer and a million miles away in terms of service, hygiene and well basically a beautiful room.
2.17km from Dragon FireOur plane arrived early so we arrived at the hotel a couple hours before check-in with our two kids. The Holliday Inn allowed us to use their bathroom to change out of our winter clothes and into our shorts. We checked-in early and by the time we returned from lunch, they had our room ready. We walked around when we first arrived to inspect the layout. We asked for one of a couple different rooms we liked. And guess what? The Holliday Inn was able to get grab us one of the rooms we requested! Staff were some of the friendliest that I have ever met and service has been great both at the hotel and restaurant. Would totally make this our permanent spot when coming to Bush Gardens. And to answer the question posed in the title, I don't think it does get much better than this.
2.29km from Dragon FireWill not live again. The room was still ok. The room was very clean and new, but the service attitude of the counter lady could be said to be extremely bad. It was because she came in the middle of the night and she turned a blank eye and complained that her attitude was worse than that of my girlfriend who was cold war with me. After I gave my name passport to my friend, it took me 15 minutes to throw the room card directly to us. I didn’t say anything.

2.36km from Dragon Fire Everything I wish to experience in a home away from home is at La Quinta by Wyndham. Thanks for your home-like accommodations which eliminate much of the loneliness of being away from home. I look forward to the complete friendliness of the entire staff consistently on each stay.
2.52km from Dragon FireBreakfast is a standard American Express hotel breakfast, in the Japanese restaurant next to the hotel, free parking, suitable for children with a swimming pool. The bathroom in the room is clean and tidy. I am very satisfied with this hotel chain. Cost-effective.
2.57km from Dragon FireI have always been impressed with Embassy Suites but not on this occasion!! I realize we are coming out of covid but when you start fully booking your hotel you should be prepared for incoming clients. The front desk never had more than one person working and I mean to check people in, Greet people, answer the phone or assist with problems. ONE PERSON!!!! We waited 5 customers deep to check in. When we needed something and called NO ONE answered the phone and we let it ring for some time too! We went downstairs to the front desk to get help and guess what?? We had to wait in the line again to get something. When we asked if there was anyone else to help her she said she was the only one there. In the dining area for breakfast they have more than half of the tables blocked where you can’t sit and they are pushing people through the line for breakfast with no place to sit and dine!!! The main problem is lack of service from a place I expect excellent service!! Our sons are attending USF and I had hoped this would be our go to place to stay but we will be looking elsewhere! The place also needs a makeover with wallpaper peeling and holes in the curtains. The water feature is also dry....so sad not to have the lovely sound of the water in the atrium.
Hotels Near Dragon Fire In Tampa Review
The hotel has a sea view, the room comfort is good, but the breakfast room is not good, I wanted to go to have a breakfast, the price of 22 dollars to see the self-service area will give up decisively, immediately find McDonald's, so do not consider eating breakfast at the hotel, the hotel is not in the city There are no shops in the center. There is nothing to do when you return to the hotel. There is a small swimming pool. It is OK to play with children. It is a heated swimming pool, but I feel like a hot water pool, and there is no cold feeling at all. I went to the lower temperature in February. Normally, it should be cold water. The hotel has a cooperation with a Chinese-Japanese restaurant. It can be called takeaway. The food tastes good. You can order it and see it. The cost is not high. In short, the hotel room is still very comfortable, can be right from this price
Getting better I must say and smell clean and are super clean. I’m proud to say they getting better.
We were staying here for a visit to Moffitt, about a ten minute drive away, depending on traffic. The staff was very attentive, pleasant and professional, especially the young lady who worked the front desk and another lady who worked the breakfast area. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was standard fare. I wish there were more options that didn’t include so many sweets. The pool has a beautiful waterfall feature and the hot tub is separated a reasonable distance from the pool. The only drawback was the elevator; it is slow and there’s only one which often couldn’t keep up with the demand of the numerous guests. Overall, it was a great value and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to visit Moffitt or USF.
A few months ago I received a 2 free night stay offer. It was shortly after completion of their new East Tower. It was utter chaos when I arrived for their 4 pm check-in only to be told that it would be a few hours before they would have a room ready for us. We left and drove back home to St. Pete. So I was a bit hesitant to take advantage of another free stay offer this month but decided to give it a try hoping they had work through the growing pains of their expansion. Apparently they did as check-in was a breeze. Although I had booked an East Tower room, the only thing available at the time was the old West Tower. Considering that the room was free, I wasn't about to complain. Actually I was pleasantly surprised with my room in the old section of the hotel. It was very well maintained and extremely clean and well stocked with bath towels, toiletries, coffee, bottled water, etc. One of the maintenance men informed me that there are plans to renovate these rooms in the coming year but honestly, when looking at mine, nothing looked old, tired or worn whereas I have stayed at more than a few Hiltons and Marriotts that could have used a face lift. On the negative side.....the lighting is extremely poor like the majority of hotel rooms these days. Even sitting at the table directly under a light fixture and with ALL the other lights on in the room, it would be extremely difficult to see to read a book or magazine. WARNING: The bath tub in my room was extremely difficult to get in and out of and there was nothing to grab onto to make it easier and I don't have any physical limitations. If you do, I suggest you find out if the rooms in the new tower are any different or at least book an accessible room.
The room has a balcony, can view the view, breakfast is basically complete, there is a black brother is very enthusiastic, take the initiative to introduce the surrounding attractions, parking is a valet shuttle, overnight may be 26.5
Overall great stay! Don't really have any complaints. The staff was wonderful, especially Damian and Jackie. Always polite and made sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were cozy but I will say they did not have an option for heat.. It was a chilly few days in Tampa so I had to request extra blankets to not freeze. The evening Social is a huge selling point. I assumed it would be snacky food and beverages but they had a full dinner spread with complimentary wine and beer. Hotel was clean and in a great location near the airport. Would definitely stay here again
Rooms and amenities were perfect as always. I travel for business often and always enjoy going to Tampa just so I can stay here! The location is perfect and the small beach on property is fantastic to have. We've rented boats several times and it was great. The property recently switched to valet only and that has made everything much easier. Being there a week we got to know those guys really well. Isaiah helped us often and knew us by car! We wen't out often and got to meet the crew. Angelo, Ian, Hunter, Patrick, & Michael all took very good care of our entire team. I had forgot to call down one morning and the car was there ready to go! Usually conversions to valet parking is a nightmare but this was super pleasant! Everyone had such a great experience that they wanted me to name everyone that helped us! The other highlight is the bar at the restaurant. The bartender always knows the drink I want and he is very attentive. The food is also fantastic. The indoor pool is 24/7 and we took advantage of that. We often get back late and really needed something to do. I look forward to booking a stay here for a vacation! Great views! Great rooms! A++++ all around!!!
Coffee machine didnt work.. We saw a bedbug on the night stand but not the mattress, other than that very nice. Only rated 3 stars bc of the two issues..
Actually not bad, but the bed is too soft.
I have reservation to check in on 02/14/20 and check out 02/17/2020. when we have arrived, 2 lady at front Desk ( Kim and Denise) were very short and disrespectful to us. we have reservation for 2 queens bed and they said they have no room but king size bed for us. I tried to get reservation at another hotel but it was long weekend and every hotels at the area was sold out. they promised to send us rolling bed while we are out, when we back to the room was 11.445 PM and they did not do anything about additional bed. during check in , I asked if they can help us next day if room with queens bed available, both lady without even looking at computer they said they not gone have any room available till Monday ( even they had 266 rooms, some how they know in their mind nothing will be available), I had to scaled my issues to Hotel general manager, but I am not sure that even will help. Furthermore, our room was next to the highway and. while we were at the room feel like cars passing by our beds, the noise from highway was annoying and un present and I could not sleep for 3 nights straight . This is the worst hotel accommodation I had for last 30 years of my traveling time, I have never thought I will see the hotel so low class, uncomfortable any where. I have no idea how Marriott company allow such place as a part of their properties and how allowed such employee working for them.I will never go back to this hotel, even if they offer me life time free stay.
Service was over all great... customer service was good! Thanks!
It was the perfect location for all my appointments the day before and the next day. Everything was clean and all staff were friendly and helpful. Was disappointed that there was no room service due to Covid regulations still. But I loved seeing an older bank building being repurposed and not demolished.
The hotel location can also be next to a small river and then downtown. Although it is the city center but there is nothing to eat and no shopping malls, but the hotel is nice. It is convenient to visit the aquarium and busch garden if you want to shop or recommend Hotels near the airport have parking and takeaway can be delivered upstairs
If you spend the night in this city, it's a great hotel. The location is very good, the surroundings are very quiet, and there are very good restaurants nearby. If you had stayed here, you would not have chosen another hotel
Only thing missing was the balcony room we discussed over the phone. My room w as neat and clean and the staff was very friendly. The location was quiet and cozy. I called the customer service to book the room and was told I would have a room with a balcony.
This hotel is located very close to TPA with free shuttle. The planes are heard but stop overnight. Lots of restaurants close by. Free breakfast, self serve, variety, coffee was unexpectedly good! The hotel badly needs renovation but is clean. Bathroom fixtures and corners are not appealing. Wifi was fine with USB chargers in room. New TV. Beds were very comfortable. I had forgotten my wallet in our rental car. The desk staff and shuttle driver were very kind. I was shuttled back to the car rental where I was able to retrieve my wallet, thanks to some kind folks there too. Shuttle picked me up and brought me back to the hotel from the airport. As a 'young' senior who was very anxious at the thought of having to cancel cards and replace licence, etc., the assistance was greatly appreciated. Great airport location. Recommend Wyndham renew the building and keep hiring good people.
I was taking a class to finish my degree and had left some important papers home that I needed to enroll on my first day. I took a chance and stopped at the Clarion right down the road from my school. The very nice gentleman working at the front desk helped me get the forms emailed and printed them out for me so that I was able to attend my class. His name is JP and he was so nice and helpful. And the lobby was beautiful and clean and the breakfast and coffee bar they had out for guest looked delicious and smelled wonderful. I was to nervous to eat as I’m 53 and finally finishing up my medical degree but when I’m done and get my degree I will go back there to celebrate and just may make it a yearly trip as I wouldn’t of been able to attend today if JP hadn’t helped me! Thank you so much JP. I will come back and see you I promise!!!! In a day and age where no one helps encourages or is just generally nice to others anymore he is a gem!! I recommend his hotel to any and everyone. Have a great day everyone! And thank you so very much JP you made my day so much better and your pep talk boosted my confidence to walk through that door today to finish my education at 53!
Hotel location: perfect, close to the airport, there are many supermarkets around, very convenient; The beds are comfortable, clean and tidy, and the service is attentive. The shuttle bus runs every hour; The breakfast is very delicious, with waffles, cakes, bread, and a variety of juice yoghurt fruits; Free parking, normal conditions are very empty. Excellent location, which location is very convenient, come to TAMPA must-have hotel!
The room is very spacious and clean. The bedding is very comfortable. Two big beds can accommodate four people. The son owns a bed and includes 5 breakfasts. The breakfast variety is okay, there are hot scrambled eggs and meatloaf, you can also make homemade waffles, original flavor and blueberry flavor, very delicious.
We wanted to be closer to the airport on our last night in Tampa. This location is about 8 miles from the airport and within walking distance to bars and restaraunts. Gas station conveniently located between here and the car rental return facility. Althought the exterior is having a facelift right now, the interior and rooms are very clean. We stayed on a Saturday afternoon/night; very quiet in our 4th floor room.
The entry to the hotel could be alot better but the hotel was nice. The corner room has a great view of the interstate. The breakfast was a grab and go due to COVID-19. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.
Hilton's hotel is still trustworthy, the room is very comfortable, breakfast is a bit expensive, but parking is not charged, the hotel location is right by the sea, the environment is not bad
It goes a long way when the person who greets you at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. All of the hotel staff we happened to meet were wonderful. Our room was quiet and had a nice clean smell. The bed was comfortable. It was a quick and easy cab ride from the airport. We walked to an Outback Steakhouse for dinner, and to Raymond James Stadium the next day. I have no complaints, and the price was very good.
This was one of 7 Hilton Properties we stayed at during a tour around Florida. The location turned out to be perfect. While it is near the Tampa airport, there was NO airport noise. It is just off the causeway, but again we did not hear any street noise. We walked to Whiskey Joe's for a great sunset view dinner. I feel the best part of this hotel was the staff, they made us feel very welcome, and I genuinely felt they were glad to have us there. In addition unlike others, they did acknowledge my Hilton Honors Diamond Status.
The hotel is at the airport, and you can get your luggage to the hotel lobby without leaving the airport. It is very suitable for friends who arrive at night or catch a flight in the morning.
This hotel stayed for the first time, hilton name is good, it really did not disappoint, but the price can be more perfect if you can nice. Only stayed for two nights, because the price of the hotel behind it, too much can only change places. Warm sharing: breakfast should be at your own expense, 15 US dollars, the hotel can park for free, the hotel location is good, there is free bus at the airport, the hotel environment is very good, the room is very comfortable, recommended
Breakfast 🥣 is toast 🍞 banana milk cereal coffee tea bacon sausage ham slices, etc. can eat enough
I always enjoy my stays at the Embassy Suites! The room was remarkably clean, everything worked properly, the comfort level was great & this location was close to the majority of places I wanted to visit. The only small downside was that the amenities that I enjoy the most were unavailable due to the pandemic; namely, the Breakfast & Cocktail Hour. Overall, I’d still say it was a great stay!
We have been here many times but this is the 1st since COVID 19. We were concerned about going to a hotel but we worried for nothing. First thing you encounter is a note on door that masks are required! We are all for that & all employees we saw were wearing one. They even have an additional table between the desk & us to provide the required spacing. The credit card machine is on the table so they never touch your card. Quintin at the front desk was very friendly (think he might be new as someone was watching him.) Registration went very smoothly & he noted our Spire status. The room was spotless but very cold as they had set the temp at 50! We certainly will return the next time we need the airport.
