The awful and disgusting place with a rude stuff !! Reality is VERY different from the photos on the internet !!! We paid 60 euro per night and got a terrible quality ((( Practical advice: rather choose any other budget hotel ( ibis, b&b, premier class), cheaper for money and a better attitude. To open the door or gate you have to know 4digits code you received with your confirmation. Only 3 hours for check in from 17 to 20 otherwise you have a chance not to get in.

Well I’m a massive fan of the campanile chain I think you can always rely on them for value for money and this one did not disappoint! Check friendly and easy ! The rooms are a little motel style but clean and adequate! The highlight was the evening meal buffet starter and desert both lovely but the main course I had steak and my husband had duck and both delicious! The waiter was awesome his English was excellent and he made everyone feel so welcome couldn’t do enough to help ! Turned a run of the mill experience to excellent well done him! My only slight criticism was the breakfast at the price a little underwhelming!!! But everything there was fresh the cheese and ham maybe left out a little too long and no hot options other than toast and boiled eggs (which took ages) ! But this would not stop me staying here again just would skip breakfast but definitely have evening meal !

Stayed 3 nights to extend our holiday. Basic facilities, adequate despite room being a little small and would benefit from a few small inexpensive design improvements. Easy car access from airport, good security, ample parking, pleasant exterior and a variety of restaurants within walking distance,. Manageress very helpful. 6.6€ breakfast adequate but on 1st day by 9am had run out of orange juice (replaced by warm), baguettes (not replenished) and croissants (15 mins delay to warm), so we bought supplies from one of the 2 nearby supermarkets for the last 2 mornings.

I wish it was possible not to award any stars. We booked this hotel for proximity to the motorway and taxi access in to Beziers. We booked a non smoking air conditioned room. On check in we were given a room in the older block to the right of reception. We opened the door to be hit by the strongest smell of stale cigarettes so I just shut the door and returned to reception to complain. The guy on reception said “ I will send someone to spray the room!” I said that is up to you but we are not staying in that room. We were given a card for a second room and when we got to it it looked nothing like the standard double room on the website and it was like a cupboard. I went back to reception again to be told it is a standard double room but I pointed out it was nothing like what is advertised on the website. The female receptionist then said “Well you booked via Expedia and we are not responsible for the images on their website”. I pointed out and showed her the Ibis website and said we booked based on these images. She then said we are full and after a lengthy discussion she finally offered a room with disabled facilities which I said would be fine then she miraculously found another double room on the 7th floor of the tower accessed behind the restaurant. We went to this room, temperature was showing 25 degrees, set air con at 22 degrees and went out. When we got back around 10.30pm the temperature had not come down and through the night it went up to 27 degrees! Bathroom shower tray also looked filthy and disgusting. Carpet in communal areas very worn, dirty and stained. We had booked for 2 nights but one was enough so even though we had paid for the second night we checked out and moved on to our next destination who luckily had a room for us! The manager of this hotel should be ashamed of the way it is run and how dirty and drab it has become. Ibis senior management should visit and decide if they are happy staying in rooms like this. Send a non smoker to room 110 and you will see how bad the smell of cigarettes is. To anybody looking for a location to visit Beziers avoid this place like the plague. Can’t comment on food or anything else as I refused to part with any more money in this establishment!

We enjoyed our stay at the In Situ in Beziers. The room was large and the bed comfortable. Cleaning was excellent. The staff were excellent, too: friendly and efficient. The decor of the hotel is a bit pretentious: stark with a few objects of art scattered here and there. More style over comfort. The floral sculpture in the garden was neglected and had seen better days. Breakfast was quite good but in my opinion not worth 16 Euros each. The pool was cold and needs to be heated more. Parking is a problem. There is a garage on site at 10 Euros a day which we booked. Just as well as on road parking in the area is scarce. Once the garage starts to fill the remaining places are somewhat inaccessible. This was a real problem on arrival after a day out. Beware of scratching your car on pillars, walls and adjacent badly parked cars. The shower in our room was brilliant. Strangely, there is computer station available to guests. This is a major omission since the hotel purports to cater for business clients as well. I would stay here again probably.

Situated a short walk from bus station and centre of town on relatively quiet street. Modern building with apartments consisting of bedroom and separate kitchen and bathroom (no bath, only shower). Bedroom adequate, cramped by oversized furniture, reasonably comfortable with patio door onto balcony. Kitchen reasonably well equipped - sink, fridge, microwave, hob, kettle, coffee maker and unnecessary tiny dishwasher at floor level, but very little bench space. Adequate cutlery/crockery/pans, no corkscrew provided and none available on request, which is odd given the French hatred of screw-topped wine. Perfectly fine for short self-catering stay if you're not expecting luxury. Some minor noise from street. Room has aircon which was required even in October to prevent temperature rising unbearably at night. Limited housekeeping (every four days) and you're expected to leave the apartment as you found it (in particular, cleaning the kitchen and anything you've used from it and taking out the trash) which is a reasonable compromise for the reasonable price.

If you're a proud Stopfordian, it'll be of great interest to you to visit Béziers in the Languedoc region of France. Why? Well, its the twin town of our beloved Stockport. Who knew? Twin towns was a scheme dreamed up in a simpler age. When Europe looked for ideas on how to nurture harmony between EU members, the less said about that in Brexit Britain, the better I would venture. As for the similarities between these ‘twinned’ bergs well, surprisingly, there are some. There's a bustling covered market situated close to an ancient church. A famous viaduct crosses an iconic river, and there's a sort of town plaza that looks nothing like Mersey Square unless you squint your eyes particularly tightly. Alas, the weather’s completely different. Even in mid-January, we could wander around Béziers town centre without chattering the teeth from our skulls. And as the year progresses, Béziers will become a sun-drenched hive of tourist activity. As opposed to Stockport, where you’re more likely to get drenched. How did they work out this twinning business? For our brief weekend sojourn, we stayed at the budget Mercure Hotel on Avenue Camille Saint Saens. We chose it for it’s accommodating price and the availability of parking. On this latter point, you’ll find the parking deep below the hotel. You drive through a series of automatic doors activated by your door card. The first time its a bit disconcerting but after a few goes you’ll get the hang of it. Our room was pleasant enough. Smaller than the online picture but clean and comfortable with a decorative theme of varnished wood. It was a bit of a squeeze for two adults with luggage. Pack light if you’re a weekender or go for a superior room if you need to swing a proverbial cat. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as breakfast wasn’t included in our tariff. And at €16 per head, it was too rich for our blood. Better instead to pop across the street to the boulangerie and get a fresh pain au chocolate for a mere €1. They do provide in-room refreshments but they are served in a paper cup, and there’s not enough milk for even a single beverage. So here’s another tip. Buy a jar of coffee and some milk from the local Carrefour Cite and borrow a proper cup and spoon from the Mercure’s restaurant. Then you can enjoy a coffee whenever you please and no need to ration the dairy! Overall, the Mercure Béziers is a perfectly acceptable place to use for a short city break. The rooms are OK and the staff, without exception were helpful and friendly. You won't have any problems if ‘compact and bijou’ accommodation doesn’t concern you. Whether it lives up to its 4-star billing well, that’s another issue altogether.

I spent three nights here and was totally satisfied with the hotel. It is a budget hotel so dont expect anything other than the basics. It is clean and comfortable and in a good central location. The breakfast is a bit basic but theres plenty of it. The staff that I met were all polite. I checked out on the day of the worst storm in recent years, there was a power cut and leaks but every other shop and cafe I saw was also struggling with leaks during the storm. Beziers is a nice town but the weather curtailed some of my plans to look around. It is also a good place to base yourself to explore that whole region.

This hotel is basic but clean and comfortable. It is noisy! Ask for room to rear! However, due to a little difficulty the receptionists went out of their way to help me. Great location close to bus station and lots of good cafes

A warm welcome, majestic and royal rooms and a lot of greenery. This hotel gives fresh air and a trip through history of the owner family. You also have the chance to discover the objects related to this family. The only negative point is that the castle is far away (at a walking distance) of everything, including restaurants. But it doesn’t really matter because first, nothing lacks in this castle (in fact, you can find board games, books, etc...) and second, charming people are taking care of you.
