My husband and I were very impressed with the service we received by Edwin. Edwin went above and beyond with assisting us with our dinner reservations and guided us on things to do in Brooklyn, since it was our two year Anniversary. He was very kind and and very helpful. The room had a great city view and was very clean. We will return again
This was the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. I stayed here one night. It was a place to sleep on a road trip in which I made several stops. I made the reservation on the phone and was actually charged a $14.99 fee to make the reservation. The women on the phone who made the reservation booked here because it had parking and I had plans in Brooklyn in the morning. The room was in rough shape. That was not the worst part. The door closed had a big gap in it that you could see out to the hallway. There were people banging on doors and yelling all night long. Loud music was playing and people were in the hall. If I had some place else to go I would not have stayed. Honestly, I was afraid to leave also because I would have had to go back out to the hall were all the action was. It was late when I arrived and almost immediately after I went into the room the banging and yelling started. About 7AM it seemed like things quite down and I left quickly. Do yourself a favor don’t stop here keep driving.
Although this hotel is by no means luxurious, it is clean and convenient. The facade is the most unprepossessing I have ever seen, and the parking situation virtually non existent. But the room was clean and quiet and the location convenient.
The hotel was clean and located close to Subways. The neighborhood seemed to be safe. Especially given that the police station is across the street from. The room, while somewhat small, was also clean. Although the pillow was the equivalent of not having due to it being so soft. My only pet peeve is that the check-in was too slow. Plus, while the hotel continues to advertise as offering free breakfast, there wasn't any. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that they weren't offering any due to the pandemic. Which I think is just BS. Many hotels who offer breakfast now provide grab-n-go bags in its place. If I need to stay in Brooklyn in the future, I will most likely find another place. YMMV
There are a couple of very good things about this hotel. The rooms are very clean, most of the time very quiet, and try to ensure the “no smoking rule” is followed. But the best and most important thing about the hotel is the staff - all of them down to some of the clean crew are professional, friendly, caring and skilled.
No breakfast at the hotel. The hotel is an express hotel next to the airport. The price is too expensive, that is, for the morning shift night flight. The twin beds are all 1.3 m beds. We passed the check in at 2 o'clock in the middle of the night, took the airtrain to the memorial circle, called the hotel front desk, and arrived in 20 minutes. Fortunately, the phone number of Ctrip's note is correct. Since it is a fast hotel, if the conditions are similar, it is recommended to choose the Holiday Inn directly, their car has been waiting there.
This hotel and its facilities were one of the most-talked about topics on our week-long visit. There are some aspects of the hotel which are great - some which you dont encounter in some other hotels. Then there are some aspects which simply let the hotel down. The hotel should just give up on Breakfast.. there is no restaurant, and there are only three dining tables and a low coffee table which means that there is not a lot of room if all guests arrive at the same time for Breakfast. "Continental Breakfast" it is advertised on the hotel website - it is nothing of the kind. Consisting of tea, coffee, cerals, croissant, juice and toast it is very minimalist. In the latter part of the stay there were no Croissant or Juice 'because of covid'. Given the number of shops around it would not have been difficult to have sourced these elsewhere, but the staff decided it was too much trouble. There are a few places for breakfast within a short distance from the hotel, though As with no restaurtant, there is no bar either... but there is one two doors down, and behind the hotel. And there are some really good points to this hotel: There is plenty of hot water for the shower, and the temperature doesn't fluctuate as it does in some other hotels in this part of NYC. There are plenty of towels, the bed is comfortable, and the rooms are soundproofed from other rooms (but not from outside). I would have liked a security eye hole in the door so you can see who is at the door before opening it
Great hotel to stay at when your gets cancelled at La Guardia. The night manager was courteous & all about taking care of us after a long day & not having our luggage. The guy single-handedly & calmly handled a steady stream of people with cancelled flights needing rooms, and always maintained a smile & positive attitude the entire time. Rooms were clean & with plenty of modern conveniences like USB plugs & TVs to broadcast from your phone. Breakfast was good. Airport Shuttle runs every 30 minutes & starts at 0400. If you’re hungry when you get there in the evening best to use Grub-Hub or Uber-Eats to deliver food, not much within safe walking distance.
It's okay to stay alone for one night, the room is not large, the breakfast is not much, and it can barely cope. This hotel is not suitable for a few days; the security is OK

However, there are many black people in this hotel. Among the five or six hotels I have stayed in, there are more black people. The composition of the people in the hotel is about 70% to 75% white Asians and 25% to 30% blacks. I only stayed for one night. It feels safe for me, but it is best not to stay for a long time. no problem
This was my 2nd time staying at this Hampton LGA property. Upon arrival during my 2nd stay and after 4 calls to the hotel for the hotel shuttle, it finally came 35 minutes later to the upper departure level at door 16. I checked in and had to ask for water as the blonde did not give it to me nor did she ask if I wanted one or two keys, I got one. The snack bar/soda case had barely anything in it. You would think a hotel that does not have a restaurant would ensure that snacks/drinks were available to purchase. Sunday morning I awake to take a shower and the water is ice cold. I call the front desk and I'm told I need to wait at least 5 minutes. Okay, 15 minutes later the water is still cold. So, no morning shower. At check-out I informed the lady (didn't get her name, but she's short with dark hair) about the water not turning hot after 15 minutes of running and she offered me points. I asked how many she said 10 thousand. I'm still waiting on the points as I honestly believe she just wanted to brush me off. I also called and left a voicemail for the hotel manager as he seems to be very busy and can't answer or return phone calls. All this to say, I was okay after the shuttle situation, but to have no shower and be offered something only to find out its not true, is so WRONG on SO many levels. I would be wrong if I did a charge back on my stay. Very upset/disappointed in this property. You really need to do better and follow with your word and train your employees better. All to say, still no return call from this property or points.
The first night was terrible, we were in room 805 directly opposite the elevator. As the other reviews say there is a lot of noise generally as there is almost no insulation between rooms but being next to the elevator we heard people coming and going all night with lots of shouting and late night partying. The bed was awful and creaked with the slightest movement. There was a strong smell of **** all night. We ended up getting up at 5am and speaking to the night manager to complain. We were then moved rooms later that day, but the smell of smoke was so bad that we were moved for a 3rd time. We settled in room 1002, the remote control for the TV didn’t work, the bathroom door was almost impossible to slide open and closed, and for another night we had noisy neighbours. The last 2 nights were quieter thankfully. We had decided to stay out the city for once, we didn’t really like the location but that’s our fault rather than the hotels. The manager was helpful and did the best he could. We had another booking their for end of June with some friends and decided to cancel and look elsewhere.
My wife and I stayed three days at the Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards, an it was a great experience! The hotel is obviously quite new, and it was amazing. The people at the front desk made us feel home right away. We got a room upgrade, and got what I believe is called a Skyline Room. The room was very elegant and spacious. The bed was great, and so was the bed linen. It felt new and crispy. We had enough room to stash away our luggage, and that always makes it feel less of a travel and more of home. We tried out the their SPA. Both of us had the infra red sauna, and my wife tried a drip treatment. She was a little jet lagged, but it all went away after the drip treatment. I went for a swim in the outdoor, but heated lap pool. The pool was long enough to actually get some exercise out of it. We ate at the restaurant, Electric Lemon, and the food was great. The location of the hotel is perfect to check out the new Hudson Yards. We walked the High Line which is located right by the hotel, and which is a great thing to do in NYC. It took us right down to Chelsea Market. The hotel staff looked out for our luggage the day we checked out, so that we could enjoy more of what the area has to offer. All in all a great experience which is recomended.
Check in during the 2020 Chinese New Year. The hotel is located next to the Central Station, about 15 minutes walk from Times Square, and check-in is fast. In addition, each room will have to pay an additional $ 45 destination tax per night (of which 15 per night) The US dollar can be used at hotel convenience stores, and the other 10 US dollars can be used at hotel bar counters. The elevator speed is very, very fast, and generally does not need to wait long. There is 2 pieces of free luggage storage in each room, and the baggage of more than 2 pieces is charged at USD 3 each. Also remind, when checking out, remember to let the front desk print a detailed consumption list to check the specific charges. It is very common for hotels to charge more!
There are not many people who comment on it. The hotel is on 49th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. The roads in Manhattan are easy to recognize, just right and street. Start on Fifth Avenue and then sixth, seventh, Broadway and eighth. In the middle is the street. The Port Authority's main station (that is, the coach station) is on 42nd Street, Times Square is on 47th Street, and the subway can be a 50th Street station, very close. A lot of food nearby (Ichiran Ramen, Shake Burger, Michelin Steak House). The hotel is not a well-known brand in the chain, it is relatively small and not luxurious, but the price is not cheaper than the surrounding Marriott or the like. Last year, I stayed at Marriott very large. The exterior looks larger and more luxurious than this. After all, his infrastructure is very early. But this good place is closer to Times Square than the quiet Marriott there, rooms have microwaves, coffee machines, free fruit and apples, bananas, potato chips, ice water for 24 hours downstairs. The Marlton hotel is a beautiful, old style boutique hotel. The lobby and restaurant are both upscale and yet comfortable . The room was tiny, but had everything we needed. The bathroom was almost as big as the room…lol…The towels and sheets were very high quality, but the bed was too hard for me. We were glad that there was space underneath the bed, as that was the only place for suitcases. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was either a grab and go yogurt/granola and coffee or a meal in the restaurant. There are three choices for breakfast that are included, but you can order off a menu as well. We loved the location, being close to both the West and East Village. It’s one block from Washington Square park. Lots of restaurants nearby.

They helped me with dining suggestions, locating a small fan for the room, as well as getting me in early. I feel terrible I do not know their names but all five stars. I want to say Katie/Keli and Vince were who I encountered the most. * good location if you do not want to be in the main tourist area. Near subways, basic shopping, and numerous dining options. Even a small massage parlor across the street which was great. * good size room for NY. Our room on the 11th floor had a very high ceiling which was a nice touch and made the room feel large. * Room was spotless. Cons- * The Front Desk is cashless and cannot make change. Very annoying for all parties especially as I was trying to get change for gratuities. They need some sort of change bank. * The room needed some more light. Very dark. * I requested a taxi to the airport. The taxi they ordered us more than twice the cost of yellow cab. I wish I knew that before he got there as I couldn’t refuse service once he arrived. Not sure if it was a taxi or a car service. Bottom line- Great hotel. Caring FD.

I observed this hotel made a big effort to get back to normal from the covid dates, (it sounds like this is used as emergency shelter, like all other area hotels at some point based on the others' review) First, the front entrance and lobby area has modern design interior with professional and friendly attitude staff. member. My room seems like renovated, new floor and clean wallpaper. all modern interior. Comprementaly breakfast is resumed with hot egg/sausages. the breakfast room is run by a dedicated lady who keeps the items stocked throughout the breakfast time. Overall, I do not have any complaint, I would definitely use this place again.

very good. I did not expect that hotels in the United States could achieve this level. Arrived at the peak of the stay on Friday afternoon, I was told that I had to wait an hour to go to the restaurant next to my lunch. When I asked again, I was upgraded to a suite. It is much better than the St Regis service in Florence, and the breakfast is just fine. The typical American breakfast, which can eat 50%, is very good. Oh. Breakfast is a single point~ Shopping for a meal is recommended to go to the northeast for 3 minutes to Madison Ave, better than Fifth Avenue, too few people.
Celebrating a milestone birthday, we didn't want just another hotel. The Beekman did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived by the welcoming doorman to the front desk, bell man and bar/restaurant staff, our stay was fantastic. If you are looking for a hotel with character and history this is it! Situated in the Fi Di in lower Manhattan, the subway is a 3 min walk away, The Beekman is easily accessible and a 40 min trip by cab from LGA. Plenty of good restaurants and breakfast places in the area as well as Seaport Museum and dock with view of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. Rated sleep quality 4 out of 5 cos it's the middle of NYC not a mountain resort!
We stayed here during our trip for five days. This was our first time in New York City and it was exceptional. Since it was the first time visiting, I spent weeks researching hotels looking at neighborhoods, reviews, room types, everything! I’m so happy we decided on The Gotham! From the front desk to the restaurant there were no issues. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The pictures are exactly like the rooms. We stayed in the king balcony room on the back side of the building which was really cool and quiet. We also stayed in the queen balcony room because we didn’t do our dates correctly lol and thankfully they had a room open. Looking out on the balcony in the queen room was awesome. We are returning over Christmas and have rebooked the queen balcony room and I can’t wait! This room is noisier but it’s not to the point of not being able to sleep. My husband and I live in the country surrounded by cow fields so if I can sleep with the noise level anyone can!
PROS: Fantastic location adjacent to the Rockefeller Centre and Radio City. 10 min stroll to Times Square, very safe area. The staff are helpful and very pleasant to interact with. Emmanuel was who we interacted with most and he is very friendly and easy to deal with. There is no resort fee which is rare in NYC and the facilities are quite good. There is a fitness room with weights and Peleton bike. There are also amenities such as a washing machine with free detergent is available to use, vending machines, computer and printer, free tea and coffee area and free filtered water and re-usable bottles located on each floor. There is a deposit on check-in but again this is common and no issue. We stayed in a Deluxe room which was quite spacious for a room in New York, the photos do not do justice to the space. We also had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine in the room. The temperature of the room was easy to control via control panel. The television has lots of channels but also you can cast from your phone so you can watch Netflix etc and the wifi signal is strong. We booked through booking.com and got a free taxi from ELife from Newark directly to the door. On our return journey we got a bus from Bryant Park direct to the Airport. This bus stop services all airports and makes transfer easy. CONS: The light switch in the bathroom did flash/spark at times which would need to be fixed. The internet dropped off service twice but if you phone reception they reset it and it does come back immediately. Rooms are not serviced due to COVID restrictions, you can phone and request anything you need but you would miss the automatic replenishment of the coffee supplies, fresh towels and having the bed made etc. When we did request more bathroom supplies they were dropped to the room very quickly so not a big issue. Overall I would highly recommend the hotel for value for money and location and I hope to stay there again.
I read a lot of comments and chose this hotel. I really didn't choose the wrong one. The location is very good, whether it is a long-distance bus or subway, or take the airport bus to the airport, or want to go to the Grand Central Railway Station, very close. . . Pod 51 is in a great location only 3-5 blocks to Rockefeller Center, Empire State buidling and also in walking distance to the Grand Central Terminal. We were able to check in early in the morning, and our room was ready! Helpful front desk staff and clean rooms! We loved our bunk bed room and shared bathroom. Upon exiting the hotel, there is a small park area across the street with seating and a waterfall. We would stay at Pod 51 again!!
I’ve been staying at the Standard High Line for a decade now, and returned after a hiatus of mostly staying in Midtown hotels for business meetings. I was a little apprehensive to return as I was worried about being disappointed. Fear not, my experience was superlative and my expectations were exceeded. I switched my stay to the Standard after not great experiences elsewhere in the city, and I was very happy to move. What makes this place so wonderful is a few things. First: Front Desk staff and their service. They are fun and friendly in an intimate way that is unusual, without being obsequious or fake. I was checking in at the last minute. Jewel and Bryceton couldn’t have been more helpful getting me set up with a last minute booking, and working to find a room with a layout that I would like, including changing my room to one I had stayed in before. While they were doing that, DJ, Bryn and Nazar were so warm and reminisced with me about the “old” days and the “before” times. Two: Design. As a mid-century modern fan, I am biased, but the hotel’s design has kept really well and still feels timeless and fresh when a lot of its peers feel dated. It has also been very well maintained. Rooms in NYC are always small and cramped, what makes this place special is the layouts are very practical and the floor to ceiling windows get rid of any sense of claustrophobia or dinginess that is so common in hotels when space is at a premium. Of course the views are fantastic. The open faced bathrooms are not for everyone - great if you are solo or a couple but not for friends or family, but that’s obvious. Third: Location. It’s very easy to walk into Chelsea or the Village, and so close to Chelsea Market. It’s equally easy to jump in a taxi on 11th Ave and skip some of the gridlock going uptown or downtown. And it’s close to 14th St / 8th Ave subway for the A/C/E trains with good connections. Finally, at a time when most hotels are running reduced housekeeping and room service, it was very refreshing to find frequent housekeeping checks, regularly cleaned rooms, and the ability to order late night food if needed. Once again, it’s the staff that really stand out — so please keep your “standards” up, it really distinguishes you!
The hotel is located south of Central Park, two streets away from the park. The exterior walls of the hotel are being renovated, and the shelves are not seen. The road at the entrance is also under construction and is enclosed. Next to the hotel is Starbucks, when there are many people. Many office workers leave wherever they buy breakfast, mostly tourists. Hotel facilities are older, but check in and check out are fast. The subway station is also close. There is a bakery on the first floor, cakes and coffee, and where to eat breakfast. The decorative paintings in the room are portraits of people, and the bedrooms and bathrooms.
There are not many traditional Chinese hotels in the empire. They are not many Chinese, hidden in the downtown, but they are prosperous when entering, quiet, comfortable bedding, rich breakfast, especially convenient transportation. Just around the corner, Broadway Theatre is waiting around, Times Square is brightly lit, and the World Fashion Center is in full swing. Because it suits my preference to stay for three consecutive days, it is highly recommended that people of the same taste stay.

It takes 20-30 minutes to walk through the Central Park from the hotel to the Metropolis, because it is easy to get lost, look at Google Maps at any time, and get tired! On the last day, I went to Guggenheim and didn't want to walk anymore. I took a taxi directly through Central Park and arrived at Guggenheim in 10 minutes. There are roadways in Central Park that can be crossed. Figure 4-5 is the breakfast at the downstairs corner restaurant. Figure 6 is the breakfast shop on the subway station road. Figure 7 is the breakfast on the ground floor of the hotel. It is delicious. The rest of the picture is the 79th Street subway station, near the hotel street view, Central Park.
We chose the Hotel Beacon for our very 1st visit to NYC, and we were NOT disappointed! It's location was a wonderful oasis after days of sightseeing, yet minutes away from everything! The bed was very comfortable, our room spacious! We specifically chose this hotel for the mini-kitchen, as NYC can easily blow any budget. Across the street is the Fairway Market, and at the subway, Trader Joes (with close to Michigan prices, I might add!) The subway is a short ＜5 min walk, with an express line to Times Square. This is a wonderful place for families and couples alike. Housekeeping, check in, desk staff.....just everyone, was a pleasure to work with. Though some have called this hotel "dated", I prefer "classic" with the decor. All furniture and items in the room where in top shape. Walking down the streets of the UWS felt like "home", with amazing restaurants and bars all around. If we return to NYC, we would again stay at the Hotel Beacon.
The hotel was neat, clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The check-in time was prompt (we had a late arrival) and the elevators are really fast. Also, its location is second to none! It sits right in the heart of the theatre district and a block off of Times Square. The hotel has a very nice entrance and is easy to find on all apps including Google Maps. It's just minutes from Laguardia Airport by taxi from where we arrived. Also, the bell captain was very helpful getting us a taxi back to the airport in good time. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day and the beddings were very fine and we got a good night's sleep every night!!! Sure our rooms were a bit small but then again what visitor in their right mind hangs out in their room in Manhattan! Our city-view from the 22nd floor was very nice as well. Overall, we had a very fine experience at the ROW NYC hotel! I highly recommend it.
Pros: *affordable & good value *great location *clean *mini-fridge in room Cons/Areas for improvement: *room décoré is dated and in need of a renovation to make it more modern *little to no ventilation in bathroom *very weak/low power hairdryer in 1204 *front desk employees won’t accept outgoing mail, not even postcards…really? At any hotel I’ve ever stayed it is common to give outgoing mail to the front desk. *no area for luggage storage, another common feature hotels offer…because of no luggage storage, I had to drag my luggage around Manhattan for 5 hours as I went sight-seeing before my evening flight. However, Juniors Restaurant near Times Square offers luggage storage for patrons. In closing, I’d gladly stay at this hotel again given the pros. However, there are areas hotel management should consider improving.
First of all, Ctrip information is inaccurate. All the guests of the hotel provide free breakfast. The Ctrip room type is written without breakfast. I have encountered similar problems several times, Ctrip should pay attention to it.
The front desk of the hotel will also increase taxes and service charges. Nearly $ 30 a night, which is quite expensive.
The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of Times Square, Fifth Avenue and several subway lines. And there are many popular restaurants nearby, which is a good choice for tourists. In Manhattan, where the land is so rich, the rooms are not small.

It is on the landmark floor of Times Square, but there must be regrets because of the too center. Although living on the 25th floor, I can still hear the lively sound of the downstairs at 1 o'clock in the evening.
Newsflash: Welcome to the Grand Renovation of the W’s Flagship in NYC ….for 2023 They have closed down both restaurants, Irvington (my favorite breakfast place in the city) and The Living Room, with a discreet plea to “pardon our appearance.” Oh, and no room service. None. You can't even get a cup of coffee, or make one in your room. Wait, there IS a selection of Pringles at your mini-bar if you need stimulants. (Seriously who is eating Pringles in 2022?? like sawdust tossed with MSG. ) And uhm - almost no elevator. They are down to one elevator for the next six weeks. With over a dozen floors to service, you can expect to wait 10 minutes to get on the elevator, and when you do, there are several other people on it with you. That's not even legal under NYC Covid guidelines. But it's fine for the W. I'm a generally satisfied gold (or platinum?) member, and I booked twelve nights here in January, over the phone with a Bonvoy agent; might have been nice if that agent mentioned that there would be not a scrap of food available on the premises during my marathon stay…or that getting up to my room would be like the rollercoaster line-up at a busy amusement park. I would not have booked if I’d been informed in advance. What's even more irritating is that if you do order food, from Doordash or the like, you need to hoof it down to the lobby to deal with it when it arrives. The W Union square, a ‘Category 7’ hotel, is not ‘set up to manage it’, or to arrange it's delivery up to your room. They are too busy renovating. And did I mention the lobby is always freezing b/c the door just opens and closes all day to the January cold for all the renovations? Sometimes employees at the front desk are wearing winter jackets? So by the time you get down there with the elevator delay - the food is cold. I mean, isn’t hospitality about making the guests feel at home, rather than like there’s been a power outage? Maybe it's a Covid thing. Hard to hold much against anyone these days with all that uncertainty. There is always a bright side to any hotel stay. I do give a shout out to the staff here at the W Union Sq., all who seem smart & super nice and really helpful and apologetic. They are the reason to stay here, (and corporate should thank them by better considering their well-being!) ) Also, the beds are really comfortable, the location is perfect, the view is dynamite, and the place is VERY clean. I suppose all those things are equally important...just less so when you're uncaffeinated at 8am, or starving at 8pm, or get Covid from a crowded lift ride up to your room. And as the last reviewer states, they have the audacity to charge a random $30 'destination fee'? We should be charging the W a "deception fee!" It may appear I have too much time on my hands writing such a long review, and I do realize there are bigger problems in the world than room service, but the W Union Sq. is renovating and asking you to foot the bill, and I thought
