The hotel closest to my apartment, so I stayed temporarily for one night to make it easier to go to the apartment the next day. I didn't expect it very much, but it feels pretty good for this price. I hope to give my friends overseas a reference The service is average, of course, compared with the domestic, do not expect them to have any services, after check-in, do not tell me where to go upstairs The equipment is okay, there are refrigerators, hair dryers, coffee and disposable paper cups, etc., but no toothpaste and toothbrushes, because I brought them, I didn’t go to the front desk to ask if this was not provided or I had to ask him to take it (after all, domestically, I ask the front desk to get it. Give) Anyway, foreign bathrooms are equipped with bathtubs and shower curtains. There is no shower, but I think it can do the separation of dry and wet. There are two sinks, one in the shower and the other outside. For people like me who need to separate dry and wet It feels okay Although it is a double bed for one person, the single bed feels quite big, enough. Should it be full size or twin size?

This was our second visit to University Inn due to visits to Duke Medical Center. We realize that there have been some remodeling since our 12/22 visit. We feel that the room we were in during our most recent visit was the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The cleaning staff needs to be commended for the excellent job they do daily. Your shuttle driver is also a real asset to your business. We look forward to our next visit.

Very annoyed at lack of internal stairs and very slow elevator. Had to wait 2+ minutes sometimes for elevator when I could have made a trip by stairs in 20 seconds. Gym was overcrowded in the morning; too small for such a costly facility. The fact that the breakfast had waitstaff, and the accompanying expectation of tipping, was very offputting. Breakfast quality was generally good, however. Although they should either provide enough bananas that everyone can get one or not at all; putting out just a couple of bananas but dozens of apples seems a bit asinine. Hotel was completely unable to furnish a single stamp, regardless of my offer to pay. Shuttle service was excellent, though they should let you know if you're going to be the last one and have to wait 30+ minutes to be dropped off.

I ended up staying at this fine hotel in durham due to some personal issues at my home. I was only there for 1 night but my stay was excellent. With COVID going on we are very concerned for our safety and the staff at Days inn made sure we felt safe. The rooms were spotless and they fulfilled my every need. The property was also spotless and they had a great system of lights that surrounded the property. Overall I very much recommend this place, especially if your looking for a clean place that will make sure you are safe!

Honest review: Bad points: My 11 month old was anxious to crawl after riding in the car, and the carpet looked clean enough. After 20 minutes of crawling, her legs, hands, etc were covered in dirt from the carpet (even though it was visibly vacuumed.) She had to stay in our arms or her pack-in-play for the rest of our stay. Also, the sink handles turned 45 degrees each time we used them, exposing the soap-scum beneath (just needed to be screwed down), thin walls allowing us to hear the couple in the next room and their guest discussing which sports channel to watch, a hole in the drapes, and scuffed furniture and picture frames. Good points: Absolutely beautiful lake and pool area! Delicious DoubleTree cookies, and very friendly staff. After staying at other DoubleTree hotels, I was surprised that the Doubletree group would allow this hotel to use the name in its current state of maintenance. Suggestion: Deep-clean the carpets and at least use a furniture marker to quickly hide a lot of the dinged places on the furniture and picture frames if new furniture is not in the near future.

Hard to believe this is actually a Quality Inn having stayed in plenty before. The whole place is very run down and dated to the point where it just feels dirty. The room had a no smoking sign however it REEKED of smoke- there’s actually a burnt cigarette under the bed (along with a condom). There’s burn holes all over the floor and part of the bathroom trash can was burnt/melted. The smoke detector was off/gone. Our heating/ac unit did not work- you get 85° F or nothing- plus half of the buttons were gone. The tub looked gross and I’m not quite sure what was growing around the knob (mold?). We were also left with a half roll of toilet paper with (what I can only assume was) poop smudged down the side. The floor doesn’t seem like it was vacuumed. Who knows about the bed sheets, although the bed was fairly comfy (a potential positive if laying your head on the pillow didn’t smell like you were laying in an ash tray), the sheets didn’t have stains or random hairs so I’m trying to be optimistic there. The headboard had random stains, smudges and smears, and the pipes under the sink are leaking and going right into the carpet. The mirrors and windows all have kiss marks and smudges on them as well. Yuck.

I ended up at this place because everywhere else was booked due to graduations that weekend. I'm giving this a 3 star only because the guys at the welcome desk were very polite. The room was on the first floor and well insulated from the noise, however, because it faces the highway I could hear the traffic which was expected. The air condition worked well and I was very comfortable. I was pleased to have a small fridge and a microwave and all the lights worked well, and comfy pillows. The cleaners need to clean around the outside of the bathroom tub because it was dirty and grimy. The drawback to this hotel was that the image of the breakfast area was very disappointing, and looked nothing like the images on the website. I arrived there at approx. 8:00 a.m. and there was absolutely nothing to eat (nothing like what was shown in the online picture). Continental breakfast? No way! The only persons creating waffles looked like a couple off the street getting some free breakfast. The coffee creamer and sugar containers were dirty-looking and there was no one managing the area. I walked out very very disappointed. I was happy to locate a small fast food place within walking distance where I bought some food and went back to my room. I won't stay there again, but I think this can be a fairly satisfactory place to stay for a short while if they update the eating area to look like what's really on the website instead of misleading images, and have breakfast items as shown. They need to clean around the bathroom tubs. The door has a security latch that is broken so I felt unsafe and had to place a couple chairs behind the door.

My A/C unit was making a horrible racket. I went to front desk and asked to be moved. She told me they were full.... tough luck.. The rooms are nice. However, the breakfast is abysmal. The only protein they offer is a greasy sausage biscuit, which I declined. Not peanut butter, hard boiled egg. Just 5oz yogurt ‘cups,’ and bananas. No oranges, apples etc, They do provide small NutiriGrain bars. I was underwhelmed. There are 73 rooms here, and only ONE elevator. Good luck with that. I took the stairs going down, ( 4th floor) and elevator up. The sign on the elevator door says ONLY 2 Persons, when it can easily fit 6 - 8. Good luck with the wifi too. On the desk there is a placard giving information to call tech support to get connected. I never did. I asked who owned this property and the guy said a large corporation. No kidding. I would not let my ex-wife stay here. Good Luck.

(1) WHAT? Tricky? What do I mean by that?! Glad you asked.... Entry onto the property from I-85 is easy. However - exit is a bit tricky. Left hand turns out of the hotel are prohibited. Drivers must make a right hand turn, travel (an admittedly short) distance to an intersection - where either a U-turn or turn in to a shopping area parking lot - will ultimately lead east and back to major roads. (2) The building appears to have two separate unconnected parking lots, located on east and west sides. I had no idea there WAS a west side lot, until I looked at a satellite view while writing this review! Like many (most?) travelers, I pulled into the east side lot, where the entry portico is located. As far as I know, there is no driveway between the two lots. (3) There are two elevators; one at each end of every floor. Very handy, but you might get a bit confused! Neat, clean hotel with comfortable rooms/beds and lots of TV channels. Our bathroom was VERY clean. Tub/shower fixtures were new to me; it took about 30 seconds to ”crack the code” for using them. Our room had a coffee pot (does ANYONE ever use them nowadays?). (4) We were on the 4th floor. Our sealed window was located above the A/C unit (about 15 inches) above the floor, and extended to a height of about 7 feet. There is no rail or barrier of any sort on the window. This made ME very nervous - a misstep or stumble...or an energetic three year old near the window, could have a very bad conclusion! (5) Breakfast was quite nice and offered a nice selection. Hot foods during our stay included fried egg, egg & cheese omelet, and REAL actual BACON! First time I've seen bacon in three? years! Thank you, Comfort Inn. Decent coffee was available every time I went for it - which was frequently! Regarding food - there are several eateries in the shopping area across the way, but they are somewhat hidden and hard to see. NO fast food places close by. (6) We were never able to get online with the business center computer. In fairness to the staff, we never asked for help. It just wasn't worth the hassle. The hotel has a meeting room with a 40 person capacity, in case you were curious. The pool seemed to have a lot of sand (or a painted sand motif) on the bottom. Perhaps it was just being reopened for the summer..... (7) Would we stay here again? YES - absolutely.

I stay here for business a couple times a month and it’s very convenient to the airport. Nice customer service but in need of some renovations. The rooms need a make over but good staff. I must compliment a superb employee name Cassandra. She is very pleasant and professional. I travel 95% of the month and often times it’s tough in these days to find profession customer service. Cassandra is always greeting with a smile and ready to assist. That’s rare these days. More hotels need staff as professional and pleasant as Cassandra.

We stayed at the Staybridge Suites for just one night for a medical appointment. We were looking for a clean, quiet room with kitchen facilities and that is exactly what we received! The bed was super comfy (medium hardness) and the sheets/blankets soft and cozy. We did a separate bedroom so that we all didn't have to go to bed at the same time and it worked like a charm. Everything was in working order, clean and not worn, and the staff was friendly. The reasoning behind the 4 stars versus 5 is twofold. The elevator needs servicing. It is very bumpy, loud, and one time the doors were closing but it wouldn't move. We were afraid of getting stuck when we rode it. The other reason was the breakfast. Normally breakfast wouldn't impact a rating for me but this was a safety issue. The yogurt (prepackaged) was sitting in a metal bin with no cooling the entire breakfast time. When I grabbed one, it was warm. That is a good way to get people sick. Other than that, it was a good price for a great room! I would stay there again!

Staff were amazing! Jordan the night representative was amazing and very accommodating based on what he was able to provide. He was able to help with a room selection that was better accessible for my 88 year old grandfather. We did have a mishap with our room where the lightbulb in bathroom was out. Due to late hour (we arrived after 9pm) the tech was gone for the night, so Jordan updated our room, however and I did mention this to him, the new room smelled like mildew and the carpet looked like a crime scene. There was literally stains everywhere and hair on the bathroom floor. The sheets had weird brown stains on them and apparently my grandfather’s room sheets also had a huge yellow stain on them that had to be switched out. We were in town from New York for a funeral for a family member so we did not have the time to change the room again since we were leaving the following day, but staying in that room felt very disgusting and NOT what was expected based off of the previous reviews. Also the phones in all rooms did not work and our clock in our room did not work. I specified all of these details to the manager the next morning before we left for the funeral including asking to have the room cleaned, which she apologized for and stated they would take care of it. Came back and nothing was cleaned or replaced (no new toilet paper, garbage still full and no replacement towels. Had to go back downstairs that evening when we got back) We had other family members staying in the Sonesta Morrisville location that we had to visit and that location was a complete 180 versus this poorly updated location. Sonesta keep hiring similar professional front desk staff like Jordan, but your house keeping staff and the location’s rooms needs a complete overhaul redo ASAP! Truly feel nasty after having to stay in that room and do not ever plan on staying in this hotel again.

We have stayed at RR in various locations multiple times in Pa., Va., and NC-Duke mainly because of welcoming my dogs and having a good place to take them outdoors. I have asked in the past (Durham-Duke and Harrisburg, Pa, if my 10 lb terriers were welcome and been assured they were no problem). Apparently it IS a problem and only ONE dog is welcome.. Also since we were there for a tx at Duke Medical we left them in the room and they barked when there were people in the outside corridor near the rooms and it was noted and was an issue. I am sorry they bothered anyone. The room was in poor condition with rust, paint issues, dirty floor, NO hangers but would have stayed again as it is near the Medical Center. Our dogs are usually quiet, well mannered and non destructive. Will go back to LaQuinta as before..

My wife and I stayed April 9th-12th. We have stayed at this property several times now. We arrived right around 3pm, checking in online. We were greeted right away and were in our room in no time at all. Usually we are in a 4th floor room, overlooking the front of the property. This time we were on the 1st floor, with more of a woodsy view. This visit, like the others, was wonderful. Our room looked great, smelled great, and once again the room had a very welcoming feel. Everything worked well. The bed was super comfortable. Our previous rooms were always very quiet. This was true once again. This room is now my favorite, and I hope to be able to stay in this room again. Breakfast was delicious, and very satisfying. My issue with our last visit was that there was no mixing it up with the breakfast offerings on that 3 day visit. Same mains each day. I will say that on this 3 day visit, they did indeed mix it up a bit, and it was very much appreciated. Once again ,everyone from the property that we made contact with, were super nice. Just a joy to interact with. The price was right for our stay. And more than likely we will seek out this property if we have the chance to come to the area again.

Less than half an hour's walk from the Duke University children's dormitory, convenient, a nearby creek park, not far from renting a car, there is no demand. There was a bed bug in the room, that bite, breakfast was not much delicious.

This review is hard to write. I stayed many times at this hotel pre-covid, and I loved it. Also, they frequently upgraded me as a platinum member, and it was the case again now as a titanium member. The summary: I want to like this hotel, but I really didn't like this stay or the room I was in. I have other stays already booked here in the coming weeks/months, I will avoid the last floor, hoping this property can make me happy again. During my pre-covid stays, I rated it as a 4. This stay felt more like a 2. The only reason I am ”upgrading” it to a 3 is because my room was upgraded to a suite. The plus: - I was upgraded to a suite on the last floor - The front desk and bar personnel is very friendly - The bed is comfortable - I like the style of the renovated room - Internet, when it works, is fast enough to watch movies or do any work The minus: - Some days, I was disconnected from the internet every couple of hours without being able to reconnect for 5-10 minutes, until it suddenly worked again. While it is not disturbing for leisure activities, it is quite annoying when you get disconnected during a work call. - When I checked in, I had 3 issues: the room phone didn't work, there was a constant 24/7 ventilation noise coming from the bathroom and the toilet was flushing by itself every hour or so. Maintenance came, fixed the toilet, and confirmed the phone was not working (without fixing it) and told me they ”cannot make a noise stop”. A couple of days later, a manager was at the front desk, so I told him I was not seeking any compensation or anything, I just wanted to be transparent on the issues rather than just posting a review online without saying anything. He sent another maintenance person to investigate. I had the most uncomfortable conversation with this employee. I showed the employee where the noise was coming from, and he just looked at me without saying anything. After 20-30 seconds of silence, I asked him: ”Do you hear it as well?” He confirmed, and said it is coming from my neighbors, to which I asked how it could come from my neighbor since the noise was less disturbing in the bedroom facing one neighbor, and in the entrance next to the other neighbor. Then he told me it comes from the neighbor on the other side of the hallway, to which I told him how is that possible since we don't hear the noise in the hallway. He concluded ”then it comes from the roof, there are a lot of things on the roof” without adding anything else. Since this discussion, or lack of discussion, was not going anywhere, I just asked him if he could fix the phone, which he did. - The A/C is very very loud. It didn't disturb me too much, I turned it off before going to bed, but a colleague staying at the same hotel told me it woke him up a couple of times during the night. If you are sensitive to noise, or if you need your room to be cold to sleep, avoid this property. - The last night I noticed the TV in the sleeping part of the room didn't work, but I h
