      I booked three nights here to quarantine for a possible shoot at the end of the week. When I got there, the room did not seem very clean, I was very uncomfortable, the sheets had some stains on them, there were some stains on the furniture and the ceiling, and what seemed to be a massive blood splatter on the curtains. I was prepared to stick it out but got a call about an hour after I checked in that the shoot was cancelled and the quarantine was no longer necessary. I didn't even unpack my bags, so I went right back down to check in and asked to be checked out and possibly refunded for the two nights I wouldn't be staying. Of course since id been in the room, sat on the bed, used the bathroom/handsoap etc, I would need to pay for a full night there, but they told me their policy called for me to pay for the full room, there would be no refunds and I was subject to service fees. I called chase (i booked through chase travel) and they said they were at the mercy of the hotel's policies and so what they said goes. The desk was not helpful or understanding, and when I mentioned the BLOOD on the CURTAINS the front desk employee said "okay, well we'll check on that." and that was it, really no attempt at help at all, I just sunk 500+ dollars on a room I wasn't in for more than an hour, that someone bled in before me so, yeah. Don't stay here. super frustrated and disappointed. Even if i had stayed, blood on the curtains? Come on.

      This was the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. I stayed here one night. It was a place to sleep on a road trip in which I made several stops. I made the reservation on the phone and was actually charged a $14.99 fee to make the reservation. The women on the phone who made the reservation booked here because it had parking and I had plans in Brooklyn in the morning. The room was in rough shape. That was not the worst part. The door closed had a big gap in it that you could see out to the hallway. There were people banging on doors and yelling all night long. Loud music was playing and people were in the hall. If I had some place else to go I would not have stayed. Honestly, I was afraid to leave also because I would have had to go back out to the hall were all the action was. It was late when I arrived and almost immediately after I went into the room the banging and yelling started. About 7AM it seemed like things quite down and I left quickly. Do yourself a favor don’t stop here keep driving.

      I found this hotel on a whim when I suddenly needed a place to stay and am so lucky to have found it. It is clean, comfortable, quiet, safe, and convenient (everything you need is right around the corner and it's almost too easy to get to Manhattan). However, the best part of this is the staff - they are incredibly helpful, nice, and always there for anything you need. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough, especially for solo travelers or couples who need somewhere reasonably priced to stay that is simple but still has everything you need. I would highly recommend this hotel, and hope to come back in the future!

      The hotel was clean and located close to Subways. The neighborhood seemed to be safe. Especially given that the police station is across the street from. The room, while somewhat small, was also clean. Although the pillow was the equivalent of not having due to it being so soft. My only pet peeve is that the check-in was too slow. Plus, while the hotel continues to advertise as offering free breakfast, there wasn't any. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that they weren't offering any due to the pandemic. Which I think is just BS. Many hotels who offer breakfast now provide grab-n-go bags in its place. If I need to stay in Brooklyn in the future, I will most likely find another place. YMMV

Since it was the first time visiting, I spent weeks researching hotels looking at neighborhoods, reviews, room types, everything! I’m so happy we decided on The Gotham! From the front desk to the restaurant there were no issues. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The pictures are exactly like the rooms. We stayed in the king balcony room on the back side of the building which was really cool and quiet. We also stayed in the queen balcony room because we didn’t do our dates correctly lol and thankfully they had a room open. Looking out on the balcony in the queen room was awesome. We are returning over Christmas and have rebooked the queen balcony room and I can’t wait! This room is noisier but it’s not to the point of not being able to sleep. My husband and I live in the country surrounded by cow fields so if I can sleep with the noise level anyone can!

      Myself and my partner and my 2 sons and one sons fiancee just arrived back from the roxy, We had a 2 bedroom suite rooms 606-607 and wow what a fantastic view, We found that the location was perfect as it surprisingly had a chilled vibe in the area, so exploring tribeca and soho and surrounding areas was very easy on foot and a cab was less than 20 dollars to time square/central park. The staff were all very attentive and nothing was a bother, Leo and my apologies I didn't catch the other gentleman's name (wore a white jacket) who worked the breakfast and lunch shifts are an absolute asset to the roxy. This will be our base whenever we are in new York, the quirky Hotel and awesome music makes it by far the best place to Stay. So thank you to all at the roxy for creating awesome never forgotten memories

      The bed was very comfortable, the booking was a wonderful room, a big bed, and the front desk was kind enough to ask if you would have an extra bed. There is a supermarket next to it, you can buy something very late. I received 100 dollars of dollars and returned to it in three days.
