We came to this restaurant and hotel on Friday night with friends for the first time and we spent a moment at the top of the place! The frame is just beautiful, the dressing is just perfect especially the beef with its low temperature cooking ! We want to thank the whole team of the house of anthouard and especially the barman and the room manager (blond with glasses) To make absolutely little problem the work before the establishment

Hotel is in a quite location outside of Lyon with good grounds. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good without being exceptional. Reception closes early at weekends but key code is given and instructions are very clear.

Fantastic service from local management (Nicolas & Loic) in helping to correct a digitally manufactured overcharge. I was scrolling my phone to book a stay at the Campanile in Villefranche sur Saone & just before selection the page loading changed (often & irritatingly!) so that I accidentally selected the Ecully hotel. On phoning the central Campanile Management hub within minutes of the accidental mis-selection, I was met with a ”Computer says NO” type response. The woman could read off her screen exactly what had just happened but ”couldn't help me”. Fortunately the strategically sighted humans (named above) were far more honourable and flexible. They listened to my story & refunded me the full amount that I had accidentally paid them. Great kudos! 👌 Will certainly stay there if travelling to Lyon in the near future. I did manage to book the Campanile at Villefranche sur Saone stay by the way 😊

The rooms are small for a Holiday Inn, and in need of refurbishment. Mine had a big wine stain on the carpet, and the sofa/3rd bed was in poor condition. The public areas are OK and the breakfast is good. The hotel suffers significantly from a lack of staff. Reception is often unattended, phones unanswered. The restaurant is closed at short notice. Such staff as there are, are mostly very pleasant and helpful, although one hard-pressed evening receptionist, who was doubling up as barman, lost his temper under the pressure. An evening fire alarm, when guests had to evacuate, demonstrated that the staff didn't know what to do in these circumstances - no-one to supervise the exit, no-one to announce when it was safe to return. I don't know if this was lack of training or lack of enthusiasm, but it needs to be fixed. Overall, I was disappointed, and wouldn't return.

Une baignoire pas de douche ! Mais la chambre est correcte !

The PMR rooms should have been at the same level as the reception and this is the second time of the year I am in room 11. The first time I was picked several times on the right mud and I had temperature, my doctor put me under antibiotics and this time I was again in room 11 and I have again traces of pillows and temperature so there must be bed punishes or other acariens

This is the third time I came to live. The hotel has breakfast. There are electric stoves, microwave ovens, pots and pans, spoons, electric water heaters and other cooking supplies in the room. Life is very convenient, away from the 3, 5, 19 bus stops Very close.

I arrived at the hotel at 2340 hours after a long drive from Beziers Having just spent 10 Nights at the MERCURE Beziers. I was not greeted with a smile or even a hello…..I am a Gold ACCOR member and I always get a smile and warm welcome at all other MERCURE hotels, ot this one.. I paid for my room and asked if I coulld get a cold beer before going to bed. As an ACCOR member you get a complimentary drink. the female receptionist looked at me sternly and said “ I know you’re an ACCOR Member and that she would give me a voucher for a drink, I was then told the bar was closed. So…no beer. I was then asked (very impolitely) to prove vaccination status which I gladly complied with. I then asked if I could have a business receipt and was told that I would get one in the morning via email. The attitude of this female was nothing short of dismissive, adversarial, denigrating and obtuse. She then left the hotel under the supervision of an even less impressive male. I got to my room and saw it was one of the smallest and dullest rooms ever.. the minibar was empty, there was a light hanging off the bed frame and the room stank of urine. I am not exaggerating at all. I asked the male supervisor if I could have the items for the minibar that I am entitled to…he shook his head and then walked to the kitchen and found some itemsfor the minibar, he was not happy at all. By about 0130 hours I could hear a buzzing noise in the room only to find out the room was full of crickets. One landed on my chest and bite me. I collected several of these quite large crickets and -laced them into a paper cup and then had a shower..I collected my belongings and left the room I informed the male member of staff what had occurred and showed him my collection of brown crickets in the cup. He said it is very normal to have crickets in your room in France! He then turned to walk to his little office. I asked him what time the manager came in and he said 0700. I then sat in the lobby for the night. . The manager arrived and I could see a conversation was being had between the two.The manager then walked straight passed me and checked on the breakfast setup for the morning. I introduced myself and asked him why he ignored me. He said that I should have asked for another room and not sat in the foyer all night! This was probably the worst and least empathic manager ever. I showed him the crickets, obtained a refund and left the hotel. HORRENDOUS HOTEL.AVOID. MERCURE,PLEASE REVIEW THIS HOTEL

At the edge of the city, it is more suitable for self-driving, convenient for arrival and departure. But there is a bus in front of the door, and it is not far from the old city. It is estimated that it is not convenient to drive by yourself. The rooms are nice, with a balcony and a kitchen, kitchenware and cutlery, including a microwave and coffee maker. In short, it feels good and worth the money. The only inconvenience is that the opposite side of our room is under construction and it is noisy in the morning.
