We spent 5 nights in the 2 bedroom 'Jackie Onassis' suite (the hotel don't call it this, but she did stay in the room) and there is artwork and some photos. The suite was very spacious with a private patio area. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms were cleaned every day. The 2 bathrooms were down a set of steps and quite dated, but clean and functional. The hotel accommodated our dietary requirements at breakfast by providing a selection of gluten free options as well as a good selection of continental breakfast items. As it is only accessible on foot, I would recommend arranging to have your luggage brought up/down if you have big suitcases or a lot of luggage. The staff at the hotel were helpful in organising all of this and also offered to organise excursions. No sign of a white cat, but there was a ginger tom making himself at home!

The hotel was well located near all the shops in Capri. It had a small pool that was nice for cooling off. The restaurant at the hotel was good for dinner too. The rooms had beautiful tile floors and traditional European beds. I would stay here again

There are good hotels and there are really good hotels with excellent service such as Hotel Villa Sanfelice. Giampiero, the hotel manager, and his team had provided me with the most amazing 2-night hotel stay in Capri. As a lazy solo traveler, I didn’t make a reservation ahead and decided to simply wing it. If I didn’t find a good hotel with a pool, I was prepared to do just a day trip. After meeting Giampiero, he immediately offered me a room with a good deal so I could stay the night. Eventually, I stayed another extra night after! I enjoyed the hotel stay that much. In addition to its staff, which are gems, the hotel itself was very clean, well-maintained, and the pool was impeccable. I couldn’t think of a better place to spend my first time in Capri other than at this place. I will definitely come back! Grazie mille Giampiero and to your team for making my brief holiday special. You all deserve more than 5 stars!

Very impressed with the Tiberio Palace hotel - last time we were in Capri we stayed at the Quisisana which has a great location but we found it a little dated so wanted to try something new - glad we did as the Tiberio palace was outstanding. Great location, 5 minute walk to the main piazza. Shops & restaurants close by but calm quiet area. It’s not on the cliff edge but has lovely sea and town views. Some of the italian hotels on the islands can be in need of updates and sometimes the beds and bathrooms aren’t up to genuine ‘luxury’ standards....not the case here, the hotel has been recently renovated and is gorgeous, great interior design and every detail well thought through. Super comfy beds, great linen, bathrooms and dressing rooms beautifully done and every possible amenity included in the generous sized room - their whole approach is one of generosity and service and they did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. Great welcome with a huge smile by their reception staff, cold drink and towels on arrival and tour of the hotel and facilities at our convenience. They have thought through guests arriving before checkin time and have a ‘wet area’ which is separate to their extensive spa facilities with relaxing lounge chairs in a dark room with a plunge pool and candlelight and lightly scented, even some beds in alcoves plus showers, changing rooms and luggage storage - this is in addition to the swimming pool and outside lounging facilities and bar and restaurant area which they welcomed us to use. The meet and greet at the ferry port was appreciated and they handled my slightly panicked email with speed and reassurance that somebody would be there to greet us (I’d forgotten to let them know the ferry arrival time & only gave them 15 minutes notice......) The room came with a complimentary stocked mini bar & snacks, fast wifi, access to online newspapers, generous breakfasts (including a la carte cooked eggs and catering to gluten free needs) and simply outstanding service-even my hard to please husband was impressed. To the extent that when the maître de spotted him cleaning his reading glasses at breakfast he politely whisked them away and cleaned them properly for him. Every single staff member was helpful, polite and genuinely welcoming. We felt we had walked into particularly luxurious welcoming home to enjoy and relax in. My husband went as far as to say this was the best service he had ever experienced in a hotel. Given that we travel extensively it’s a big statement! Thoroughly recommend this hotel, hard to imagine you would have a bad experience here! Things to note: the hotel offers complimentary two bags per person porter service to and from the port + funicular tickets but it takes a couple of hours for the porters to get the bags to the hotel (external porter service) so ensure you bring any amenities you immediately need in your hand luggage with you. Restaurant was very good and the bar is als

I am happy to recommend this lovely hotel. I stayed here for 3 nights, and enjoyed the great location in the heart of Capri, the friendly and helpful hotel staff, my very pretty tiled room, the beautiful pool and breakfast area, and the delicious fruit tart and lemon Capri cake for breakfast. I will probably stay here again next time I’m in Capri. The only reason I didn’t give the hotel 5 stars is that I think there’s sometimes a lack of attention to detail. The room service is very overpriced in my opinion, 30 some euros for a plate of pasta al pomodoro & half a bottle of water. The arm chair was obviously broken in the room as soon as I stepped in the room. and I had to ask 3 separate times over 2 days for them to fix it, and they gave me the wrong cable car times, telling me there was one at 7.15 am when there wasn’t. And my phone flashed red for my whole stay & wasn’t fixed, despite my telling them. These are all relatively small things though and I enjoyed my stay & found it a very nice hotel.

My family (my husband, my 3 kids, and I) stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment for 3 nights in July. The apartment was larger than it appeared in the website, was spacious and clean with a sectional couch, kitchen and laundry access which was perfect. The second bedroom had a loft so my kids had plenty of room... The communal terrace had an excellent view. The location was very close to the piazzetta and the funicular which made it easy to get to everything in town, but quiet at the same time. The owners, Chiara and Stefano, were super and gave us great tips for restaurants and helped us arrange activities around the island. All in all this was a gem of a place..... I hope no one finds out otherwise it will be hard for me to book this apartment again next time...

A very special hotel in this stunning island. from the moment we arrived the service was impeccable, staff so friendly, hotel spotless, pool stunning and hotel rooms beautiful. The breakfast was plentiful and well presented, lunch delightful and the bar and service around the pool just wonderful. I really cant say enough as to how wonderful this hotel really is. Location is superb as a short walk to the restaurants and shops whilst sitting just far enough away to be peaceful and have those stunning views over the bay. A very special hotel that I would highly recommend. Worth upgrading to a sea view room to wake to those views from a lovely balcony, only tiny flaw for me personally was no coffee machine on room, as we are early risers and a coffee on that lovely balcony taking in those views would have been perfect! There seems to be some reviews not so positive about the staff but I struggle to see how that is possible, each and every one of them from front desk to pool/bar service to the restaurants and housekeeping ALL were friendly, helpful and delightful and throughout our 5 day stay too. A gem of a hotel

For our four night stay, we arrived around 1pm and checked in around 3pm on the first day. We left our luggage in the reception and were directed to a closed (for the season) restaurant. That experience was very disappointing and we were already exhausted from travel. We ended up at the Grand Hotel Quisisana for lunch which was quite nice. We were excited about heading back to the Hotel La Floridiana to check in to our jetted tub on our private terrace with an incredible view. Well, the desk clerk said we could take our own luggage to our room because the other clerk had just taken another party to their room. We elected to wait, have our luggage delivered, and to be shown the in-and-outs of the room. An attitude emerged that was not pleasant. We were taken to our room, at the 2nd lowest level where the fumes of propane and mold were horrible. We were shown a jetted tub that the clerk didn't understand how it worked. Basically, we didn't receive instruction on how to use the amenities of the hotel nor the equipment/accessories in the room. The ocean view was great if you stood on your toes and nonexistent if you were in the jetted tub. There were retractable metal doors for privacy, security, and to keep the heat and the direct sun out of the room. We found out we had one and how to operate the door on the 3rd day. Privacy was between rooms (horizontal) and NOT vertical. The jetted tub, being on the lower level was directly below all the balconies where guests were plentiful and hanging over or seated by the railing. There was no sense of privacy. Breakfast was so-so, especially if you enjoy breads and pastries, hard boiled eggs, and sliced lunch meat. There was an option to have your eggs prepared fried or scrambled, but ingredients included cheese! Overall, the place was okay, bed was semi-comfortable, bathroom was functional, staff were slow to be hospitable, and the price did not fit the hotel. If to do again, I would spend the extra money for a room in a higher starred hotel where the service and attitude were consistent with the ratings.

We spotted this hotel online when I was looking for Lorraine's 50th Birthday treat. Lorraine had played a blinder in taking me to Hong Kong 7s last year and was expecting a reciprocal trip with interest. Once we had read the reviews and seen the stunning pictures it was a no brainer and we booked a 5 night September stay. We are lucky to have stayed in some beautiful hotels across the world but Punta Tragara has to be without doubt the best experience we have ever had. If, like us, you booked for the scenery you will be blown away, but it is the quality of the service that takes this hotel to another level. Punta Tragara has managed to achieve that balance of class, sophistication and "formal informality" (if you know what I mean) that gives permission for guests just to be themselves and enjoy their time in the hotel and on Capri. The warmth that emanates from all quarters of the staffing community sets that backdrop. We arrived on the Saturday, and after an evening cocktail at the bar listening to the band (middle of the road - just how I like it), ate in the Monzu restaurant as our main celebration of Lorraine's 50th birthday. We sat outside overlooking the bay and Fraglioni rocks, the food was incredible (and kept on coming), but the way were made to feel so special by Claudio (manager), Fulvio (waiter) and Stefano (sommelier) was immense. Sunday we had trip to AnaCapri. Monday we had a walk as recommended by the hotel to Villa Jovis (one of Tiberius' haunts), round to Villa Lysis (must do - although not easy terrain to negotiate - walking shoes rather that flips flops) and back to the hotel via the Natural Arch. A lot of up and down but worth it. On Tuesday the furthest we ventured from the sun bed was the bar and poolside table for lunch. We weren't particularly proud of ourselves but given our exertions of the previous day felt we deserved it! Fantastic service again from bar team (Simone, Lorenzo, Andrea) as we experienced all week... Wednesday we did a boat trip around the island organised by the front desk (well led by Anna, a tour de force in helping make the stay perfect). The quality of the boat we had (upgraded to the Corsair 28) was amazing and could see plenty of boat envy from other trips. We toyed with not doing the Blue Grotto but glad we did. And Thursday we came home, just as the heavens opened and thunderstorms hit. Lorraine joked it was the island crying because we were leaving. Given how much we contributed to the GDP of Capri that week I thought she was probably right. It's not cheap (understatement), but it is value for the experience you have and how special you are made to feel. I once read a quote from another hotel - "customer service - it's easy, just employ nice people". When you layer that with scenery, standards and attention to detail you are given everything you need to have greatest experience ever. As you can probably guess - we are fans. Thank you Punta Traga

As I am getting ready for our 4th year in a row coming to LA Scalinatella, I had to take the time to give a stellar review (although with a bit of hesitation that it will become even more difficult to get a reservation!). We stayed 3 years ago in late September during our honeymoon and spent 4 nights. The next year we came late August and spent 6 nights. And last year and this summer we will also be coming late August and spend 8 nights! Hopefully next summer we can increase to 10 nights as it's never enough time to spend here. The hotel is another class of it's own - so elegant without overly fussy and with no detail overlooked. The staff is truly exceptional and I think of them as friends. The grounds are so beautiful and the views are incredible. It is intimate and private which i prefer to the larger hotels on the island. The morning breakfasts are beautiful, delicious and the staff will do anything to make anything you want if it's not on the menu. My husband and I honestly can't recommend this place enough and can not wait to come back!

We arrived to Capri by ferry and this B&B is in a great location - right next to Marina Grande so it was only a 10 minute walk from the ferry to the B&B. The room was well equipped with everything we needed and had a lovely balcony overlooking Marina Grande and the small public beach in front of the hotel. There is also a terrace area at the top which has loungers and a wonderful view (it is a shame there was no pool up here as this would have been the icing on the cake!) The area of Marina Grande itself is nice and has some restaurants/bars but for us we enjoyed Capri town the most. Capri town is situated above Marina Grande. On the first day we decided to walk there which took us 25 minutes up very steep hills and steps but fortunately there is a funicular which takes you directly from Marina Grande to Capri town in only a few minutes - I would definitely recommend using this to visit Capri town. Another beautiful place to visit is Anacapri - just down the hill from the B&B is a bus stop where you will find the bus to take you up to Anacapri. Here you will also find the chairlift to go to the top of Monte Solaro.

We stayed in a nice room or actually 2 rooms ensuite. Bedroom and livingroom. A very large balcony with chairs table and sunbeds and a wonderful view of 5he bay fo Naples and the Marina Grande. Bus stop is very near, so we would take the bus back from Capri city in the evening or later and that will save us the walk from the marina up the hill. When we arrived at the harbour hotel staff picked us up and drove us to the hotel. Breakfast was ok.
