The front desk only speaks English. I heard you speak Chinese. They have a little headache. There is no elevator on the third floor. They climbed the stairs and climbed the building. The location is good. The meal is convenient. The room is not too small. Ask the front desk to add a blanket. The promise is very good. Finally, Still not giving, staying for one night anyway, too lazy to communicate with her again, strenuous

Exiting the Niujiashui Metro A exit, just above the food festival, I hope the boss can allow the guests to use the dryer. After all, the Singaporean people can take a bath every day and come back to dry clothes!

The boss is very enthusiastic, often with our travel advice, and also encountered a free half-day tour of the Chinatown attractions. Although the hotel is small but the sparrows are small and complete, Singapore has a high consumption. It is quite convenient to live here. Just make an express and go to all the famous spots in Singapore. I will definitely stay here next time.

There was once a famed Chinese opera house “Lai Chun Yuen” in the heart of Chinatown of which opera stars came all the way from China and Hong Kong to perform at. Patrons sat around small tables while opera singers performed on stage. Opium smoking and gambling activities also occurred on the grounds of Lai Chun Yuen. There were also private cubicles for discreet activities. Converted to a Cinema in the early 1900’s until it was bombed in World War II. “Lai Chun Yuen” was left in appalling condition and needed much restoration work to restore the building back to the standards that can been seen today. Located in the heart of Chinatown, this brilliantly appointed and fantastically located spot offers you all the luxuries of the finest hotels in Chinatown. Steeped in Chinese culture and history as brought here by the earliest immigrants to our city. At the hotel’s doorstep you’ll be offered culinary delights unlike anything else in the city from the district’s bustling, lively and delicious restaurants, with local hawker’s stalls surrounding the hotel. Only 5 minutes’ walk from China Town MRT, Hotel 1887, is 10 minutes’ walk to Raffles Place, Clarke Quay & Boat Quay. From Smith Street, Hotel 1887 is located next to a 7-Eleven, with lots of eateries along the sheltered area. Drop off in the middle of Temple Street, Hotel 1887 is located next to a fruit stall. Hotel 1887 is the only heritage hotel that have balcony rooms and serves delicious breakfasts in Chinatown.

As travel was impossible in this pandemic, I turned to staycations at many different properties within Singapore and chanced upon the Clan Hotel which only opened its doors in 1st March 2021. I decided to make a booking and I must say it provided a very different experience as compared to the bigger international chains which I stayed at. You will first be welcomed with an interesting tea ceremony while your check in is being processed. I was served by Sam and he provided a very detailed explanation of the "ritual", the concept of the Clan Hotel and what each item which was served meant. The tea and biscuit was delicious, and Sam noticing that we were enjoying it so much gave us a second serving without us asking. We then interacted with duty manager Nurul who presented us with our room keys and gave us a detailed rundown of the amenities of the hotel. She was professional yet personal at the same time, something which doesn't always come hand in hand. We were chatting about how delicious the tea was and she offered a second variant to us, the cold brew tea. I was so blown away right from the start of my staycation, where in Singapore can you experience such level of Service and attention to detail. I also went for a precinct tour around the hotel and was led by Joyce. Once again just like her other colleagues, she was so personable and knowledgeable. The tour made us feel like tourist in our own country and we enjoyed it very much. What elevated my experience further was how the staff could remember your name and greet you by name every time you exit and come back to the hotel. A very familiar "Welcome back Mr Joel" coming from the front desk on level 1 or when I see them in the hotel made me really feel like home, or should I say "Part of the Clan". Thank you to Nurul, Sam and Joyce for this really wonderful experience!
