Perfectly located in the center of St. Moritz, the seemingly inconspicuous Monopol reveals its treasures to the guests staying at the hotel. After enjoying a refreshing ice-tea upon arrival at the front desk, you will immediately notice the warm and welcoming atmosphere that is characteristic throughout the house. Staff is very friendly, courteous and ready with tips for events and activities in the region. When staying more than two nights, you will receive a free pass for public transport and gondolas that will bring you to the many mountain stations around St. Moritz. It's the many small things and great attention to detail that contribute to a great experience - from the tastefully chosen interior to the attentiveness of the staff. Another highlight is the italian Restaurant Mono. There is no way to resist Francesco's charming persuasion to indulge in the full range of the delicious menu. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to enjoy the Spa area with the mountain-view Jacuzzi, but we discovered the recently opened Sky Bar on the top floor. Above the rooftops of St. Moritz with a great view over the lake and mountains, the Sky Bar is a beautiful place to meet or to let the day come to an end with a drink around the cosy fireplace on the terrace. To sum up, we had an excellent experience during our stay at the Hotel Monopol!SOLD OUT

I booked a King Double room with Balcony and included breakfast in advance, which provided a great value in an expensive area. This room had been recently remodeled and had keycard entry. Based on other reviews, it appears not all the rooms have been remodeled yet. Staff at the front desk were polite and welcoming. Outstanding view from the window & balcony. Everything in the room worked properly, including the in-room safe. My room had a refrigerator and kitchenette. The bed was comfortable. The included breakfast is served in the attached restaurant downstairs, and it was quite good. There is an adequate sized elevator available. Excellent location, but an uphill walk from the train station. I pulled a full size suitcase up & it took about 10-12 minutes to walk. If you choose to walk, make sure you go through the parking garage & use the escalators to go up the big hill. Otherwise, there are taxis or a bus available. This hotel is a great value option in St. Moritz.FromUS$191.00

We have just returned from a family skiing holiday at the Crystal. The location is perfect for access to the Corviglia ski lift and for bus transport to the other ski areas. Access to the shops and to the lake, bob run and town amenities is good. The hotel is comfortable and efficiently run and cleanliness is superb. Staff are helpful but some could afford to smile a little more. The bar looks nice but is a ‘no go’ for us because smoking is allowed. The picture on the web site of the gym gives the impression that there is a view of the mountains. There is not! It is a picture on the wall of the gym. We took the HB option, which proved to be a mistake. The table d’hote menus was very disappointing and it was noticeable that quite a low percentage of guests chose to dine in the hotel. Overall, a good hotel, which could be even better.SOLD OUT

Having been to St Moritz many times in the winter, I decided to visit this summer on my return to Scotland from Italy. I always wanted to stay at The Kulm. I got a very good deal of £1,500 for 5 nights B&B. So! First impressions do matter and this time it was the one I presented arriving in my battered campervan. The concierge could not hide his dissatisfaction at me arriving in this. He directed me to local parking until, on the second time of telling him I was a guest, he begrudgingly allowed me to park. Not a great first experience on my side. The hotel is stunning and the south facing delux single with balcony was as big and well presented as any double of any other hotel. On the first eve I ate in the main hotel restaraunt. Whilst the food was very tastie, it was at best warm. The service was unbearable. There are just too many staff all attempting to do their job. Within 5 mins my glass was filled 3 times, even although I hadn't drunk from it. Even after asking the sommelier to leave it and I would look after it myself, 3 others attempted to fill it. The waiting staff were the same. every time you put down your cutlery the plate was removed. I moved the side plate and cutlery and a waiter appeared and moved it back. I had to ask 3 times for them to leave me alone and for them to slow down....before indigestion set in. Unfortunately at £120, due to it being look warm and the over fussy, impossing service it's not value for money. The following day I complained to reception and whilst she listened intently I would have expected a manager to make the point to speak to me, but they didn't. The position of the Kulm is fantastic and affords guests incredible views; nowhere so fantastic as the health spa and outdoor pool. The fitness and health facilities are second to none. Numerous saunas and steam rooms, infrared massage chairs and views to die for. But! The jewel in the crown is the Spa team. I endes up having treatments every day. The deep tissue massage and sports massage fixed problems I have had for years. The whole trip was worth just that. They are so friendly and professional and not impossing at all. The senior management team of the hotel need to take the style of service offered there and emulate it elsewhere. I ate in the hotel pizzaria, which was casual and nice and by far the nearest to 'normal' priced all non swiss guests will experience at the Kulm. I ate at their golf club which was by far the best meal I had. The breakfast buffett is everything you could want, but staff are again over fussy and on the one occassion I ordered poaches eggs on toast, they were stone cold, watery and the toast hard. I make better ar home. Be carefull if you have secured a cheap rate to stay some may be shocked by extras bills. It is very easy to allow that to run away with it'self. A coffee and cake in the lobby costs €45. parking €23 per day. The hotel advertises as 'dog friendly' which they are in certian areas, but it's an eye watering €40 peSOLD OUT

We had the pleasure of taking the Glacier Express from Zermatt to St. Moritz and this hotel was part of the package. As with other accommodations from our package, this one is centrally located. The hotel van knew we were arriving and was waiting for us at the train station. We checked in and was given instructions especially if we are to venture out later than usual (the hotel main door will be closed and you'll need a special key). We were there during the fall so no skiing but we did get a free Swiss pass for all trains and some buses. This was a short distance walk (mind you in elevation) to the funicular to take you to Corviglia and Piz Nair. The hotel staff were all so friendly, the rooms are big and typical Swiss chalet type. Breakfast is included and a sweet lady diligently waited for us on our 1st breakfast. We woke up later than usual (jetlag finally caught up with us) and we got down to eat closer to closing time (but not late). She served us with a warm smile and wished us well. We saw her again the next day and this time we were early. She treated us like we were her family. That's the kind of service you get. Also since this hotel is centrally located, we were walking distance to all the posh shops St. Moritz had to offer. Had to get some souvenir from Laderach of course! We also had a lovely view of the alps from our room and the downtown landscape which is really not busy since it was fall. Definitely will go back to this hotel when we come back during the winter.FromUS$122.00

In the insanely expensive resort of St Moritz, Steffani is somewhat of a find. Perfect location, wonderfully friendly staff, excellent bedding, refurbished rooms, lovely view of the lake and small balcony, fabulous pool, steam and sauna (outdoor jacuzzi would have made it perfect!!) The quirkiness of the decor and ambience is very appealing, unpretentious and good value overall. Only criticism would be the quality of food. Its fussy white table cloth, mediocre fine dining and far too much salt!! It’s okay but could be a lot better (should mimic and improve what Hauser across the road is doing) also get a better bar ambience and selection (no Armagnac, minimal whisky collection and no cocktail adventure!!)SOLD OUT

Schweizer Hof is very well located in the Center of St. Moritz - close to Shops but also to the lake as well as to the ski lift - with an amazing view on the St. Moritz lake. The rooms are very clean, very nicely presented and the staff is attentive and friendly. Pretty much enjyoed the breakfast that was of very high quality, well served and of wide range (Fresh coffee, Fresh eggs etc.). As we bring our dog, the staff was pretty much dog-friendly. We also had dinner in the restaurant ("Acla") which is pupular for its homemade Pizza and Pasta, but also offers first-class meat. in the evenings, we enjoyed the spa which is located on the 6th Floor where one can hve a fantastic Panorama view on the lake with mountains behind. I strongly recommend this place as I will definetely will come back!SOLD OUT

St. Moritz, Piz St. Moritz Hotel Easy to reach by city bus and walkable if you are going to the hotel (downhill) but returning from the hotel to the train station, it is a reasonably good hike (uphill). Interesting first floor entry to find elevators to the rooms. Lots of turns right and left. Ran into our first hotel that did not have a night clerk on duty, so an early departure was a bit of a challenge, ensure you close out your bill before the clerk leaves for the night. Good restaurant on site with an Italian flair and a very gregarious maitre d. “Prego”, he was over the top! Comfortable rooms and welcoming staff. Be sure to understand how (and when) the city bus works early in the morning if you are trying to catch a train.FromUS$115.00

I am currently half way through my stay here. There is a group of about 150 children. Last night they were running through the halls, screaming, banging on doors etc. The first night there was a big party outside for them. As a result I have not slept properly for 2 nights running. They also take the buses at peak times so there is no space for others. I complained & asked for a refund so that i could move to another hotel- even another youth hostel in the same chain/other city but the reception staff would not give me any refund for any of my stay. I understand that it is not the hotel staffs fault but I do expect an exception to be made in these circumstances or at least to put the children on the same floor/away from other guests. I am very disappointed with the poor customer service I have experienced. I would expect something to be done. I will not be staying here again.FromUS$61.00

Hotel Laudinnela is one of the best hotels in St. Moritz, the location is very good. As a professional athlete I used to come here every summer for 5 years for a training camp, the services are impeccable, starting from the reception until the room services. The breakfast is excellent, the hotel also has a variety of restaurants which are excellent and especially the Pizzeria 👌 restaurant. They have a very active, polite and friendly staffs. Almost every night you can see them singing Happy Birthday for their customers 🎂 birthdays. I recommended this hotel to friends in my area and of course they were delighted. So, I recommend to anyone who wants to visit St. Moirtz passed through the hotel Laudinnela. Come visit 🤷🏽♂️SOLD OUT

A walk distance for the center of St. Moritz, this hotel has though a very close access to one of the lifts, connecting to all the action. All people from the staff were really friendly and helpful. Free access to Ovaverva, a great spa complex, is top notch. Breakfast 20€ p.p (very good) and dinner 60€ p.p, if not already included. Near 2 bus stops, and close to a gas station, with a quite convenient store. Will definitely get there again if I can. SOLD OUT

bathtub backed up, would not drain, hotel would not respond. was told free wifi, could not get it to work. again hotel would not help. woke up at 11pm to screams of people partying in the parking lot. woke up again 630am to doors slamming over & over again.\ again reported to the front desk they seemed to say so what. no sleep, bad breakfast, too expensive for quality of service.
