This quirky but quite charming hotel has a lot going for it. First of all it’s in an excellent location and most tourist attractions are easy to get to, and there are lots of little cafes and shops nearby. We walked everywhere and felt right in the heart of everything. The building, which is in a narrow one-way street, is rather unprepossessing. It wasn’t easy to find at night, with all the shutters closed and the front door locked and with only a flat plaque (not easy to find) against the wall indicating it was a hotel. However, once inside it opens onto a reception area then through into a lovely courtyard furnished with cafe type tables and chairs and lots of lush plant growth. Although, surprisingly we never saw anyone sitting in the courtyard. The rooms are arranged overlooking the courtyard. I imagine that this was once a town house for quite wealthy owners. The rooms have very high ceilings and although some other reviews describe them as small, ours was a fairly decent size. They are furnished with what appears to be odd bits of furniture - living up to the description of ‘boutique’. However our bed was comfortable and with good bed linen. Breakfast is rather chaotic, and it’s for that reason I don’t give it an excellent rating. The dining room is very small and when full, it just doesn’t work, with people having to move around out of the way to allow others to get to the toast, coffee, etc. Some sort of rearranging needs to be thought out to allow the chef preparing the eggs, space in which to do so. He seemed overwhelmed and not able to cope with multiple orders, whilst also replenishing other supplies, bread etc. All that space in the courtyards could be put to good use. Staff are very helpful and friendly - some speak better English than others. We had a problem with our shower and it was sorted out immediately. Wi-fi is good. Overall we were satisfied with our stay here and would recommend it if you prefer individuality compared to corporate chain hotels.

The staff, the location, and the amount of room for the cost, all of these are reasons to stay here. If it's warm stay away, there is no AC. That said for $45USD a night I had a kitchen, living room, dining area, balcony with table and chairs, and doubletwin bed (almost a king). The staff was very helpful and made my stay all the more enjoyable. There are good spots nearby to eat in but a 30min cab ride is $6USD so location isn't an issue. Also don't hire your ride from the hotel, Uber is cheaper.

We arrived very late from Miami, Florida, USA. We scheduled pre-arranged ride back to the hotel and our driver was waiting for us. The cost was affordable. Our check-in was quick and our room was clean with two queen beds which were so comfy, a nice sofa bed, a flat screen TV, a mini cooler with does not seems to cool anything, a coffee machine, and an iron. There is an option for laundry services too. There is free WiFi, free breakfast with many varieties of food items but very limited or zero choices for Vegans. There is an on-site restaurant with room service and the food is acceptable. I tried the tomato soup and had some fettuccine and they were not bad but I think the menu can be expanded. The hotel's lobby is exceptionally beautiful and nicely decorated. On the 7th floor, there is terrace that overlooks the city with specular views of the mountains. If you feel for some very tasty pastries, there's a 24 hours Hornitos a few blocks away, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed in Grand Park Hotel late October 2020. Pandemic is a serious thing all around the world and this hotel has taken all the steps to respect the recommended government protocol. The staff is simply great. Hospitality is overwhelming and they make us feel as long time friends. Location is close to the Bolivar square and many museum. We decided to have dinner at their restaurant on site. I was so impress by their salmon plate that my wife and I order the same plate the next day. When back in Bogota, we will definitely stay here. Thank you!

This hotel is located in a nice area in Bogota. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were amazing and helpful. We had a nice view of the city and the mountains, which we enjoyed. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a lot of variety; everything we ate from the restaurant was really good. There is a nice pharmacy nearby and a supermarket just around the block on the back side of the hotel, all within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again!

It was not a good first impression when we arrived in the pouring rain, and the receptionist couldn't find our booking and didn't seem overly bothered about it. I had to show her confirmation on my phone for her to then look a bit harder, finally finding it but no explanation or apology. We then had to sign numerous forms, goodness knows what for, and hope they are not signed to be charged for anything ! But after the initial bad start, the rest was all good. Our Twin Room was lovely, nice and spacious and even had a mini fridge, hob and sink - like a mini kitchenette. Desk, wardrobe, loads of power sockets, and a safe as well. No ac, so the room got quite stuffy so had to keep the windows open. The shower was the best we've had in 3 weeks in Colombia, super pressure, boiling hot, and lots of room - amazing ! Very good value, and the breakfast was really good - cereal, coffee/hot chocolate, fresh juices, eggs to order, pancakes, fresh bread, cheese, ham, salad, toast etc. Very small area though with only a few tables, so it soon felt very cramped. Lovely rooftop garden, but unfortunately it rained both evenings we were there so we didn't use it. Originally built in 1921, and some of it does show its age - the lift looks like the original, really tiny, and jerks alarmingly when it first moves ! The morning receptionist spoke very good english and was really friendly and helpful, and booked us a taxi to the airport for 36,000 pesos. Very good location in La Candelaria area, so nice and easy to walk to main sights from there, and just around the corner from Museo de Oro.

We were overwhelmed by the welcome and great service received from the hotel staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they did their very best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms were clean and a good size with all the amenities you could ask for. They included a varied and tasty full buffet breakfast. The hotel is located in an ideal area on the edge of the commercial and shopping area and near Zona Rosa.

The hotel is very well located, not too far from the Monserrate and from the La Candelaria area (you can walk to most touristic attractions or if you prefer you can get an Uber - which is pretty cheap in Bogota). We stayed at this hotel for 5 days (party of three), we booked the Junior Suite room. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by a young man who was very polite. Their junior suite room is actually pretty LARGE, so I would say that was the main highlight of this hotel for me. The room consisted of three single beds, two couches, two TVs (one wasn't really working though, so I don't get it why it was there in the first place), a mini fridge (empty, but you can buy drinks at the reception), wardrobe, desk, chair and a bathroom (the bathroom's shower was also a highlight!). The hotel's wi-fi signal is not great, it is free and it works but don't expect an stable connection throughout your stay. Room service (cleaning) is included, however it was not great (the room was cleaned and all but we had to ask at least twice for toilet paper and for an extra towel). Breakfast was included in our package, but don't expect much. The hotel's breakfast range is very limited (cold bread, butter, jam, cereals, yogurt, juice, coffee, hot milk, cheese, ham and eggs). Since I am not a big fan of breakfast I was satisfied with what was being offered but I am aware that some guests might get annoyed by their very limited breakfast options (I really missed the cold milk to add it to the cereal, they only offered hot milk for some reason). They also serve lunch and dinner, their options are also not broad but we had dinner twice there and we were actually satisfied with the meals served (the price is also not bad, pretty affordable) - the only bad side is that since the restaurant is tiny and few guests eat there their schedule is very unstable (you would have to check whether it is open or not - it varies). Overall, I am very satisfied with this hotel, the price charged for our stay was actually very affordable taking into account everything that was being offered (service, value, comfort and location). I would definitely recommend this hotels to all groups, especially those who value comfort but can't really afford a fancy hotel. I would gladly stay at the Expo Suite Parque Bavaria again if I ever return to Bogota.

My husband and I had the best time staying at the W. Even though, the location and the beautiful hotel made our stay fabulous. What really knocked out of the park was the service. Alejandro from the front desk was amazing. He was super helpful and kind. Honestly, the whole front desk staff was amazing. They helped us out in many ways like planning a dinner to getting our COVID test done at our room to travel back to the states. Overall, we were very impressed and grateful for the quality of service during our stay. We will definitely be coming back to the W, Bogotá.

I'll say first of all the hotel rates were very fair and the staff very courteous and kind. However, as a "gold" member with the OTA I am supposed to be offered a room upgrade and receive a 20% discount in the restaurant. Received neither. Also, there is no hot water in the hotel at 11:30 pm when I wish to show (I would expect full services in a 4* property). I tried to call the reception but there is no directory on the telephone and "0" & "9" got me nowhere. No responses either to my e-mails. Internet reception very poor on the fifth floor. I expect better. Also 28.000 pesos seems to me expensive for breakfast.

Booked Bogota Airport hotel without any great expectations. We had 5 adults (family with 3 adult kids!), and pleasantly surprised that 3 rooms were much more reasonable in price than any other options around Bogotá airport!!! Stayed 2 nights and had excellent service from all staff, so good to be picked up from the airport in a new Mercedes mini-bus and taken to our rooms directly when tired from long flight. Was a bit worried about not speaking Spanish, but Daniel on reception was great with the language gap and ever so helpful... I had several specific requests over the 2 days and he deserves special mention for his wonderful customer service. Free breakfast was great. Would go out if my way to stay with them again.. such a great surprise... rooms were comfy and we got 2 great nights sleep before 30+hrs flight home, exactly what we needed. A very well taken care of Hilton property. I stayed here two different times during my recent travels in South America. Both times, the staff at the front desks were friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean, tidy, and gave off the impression that the hotel was brand-new. The only negative was that the walls seemed a bit thin, so we could hear the sound of our neighbors TV late into the night. I had both dinner and breakfast during my stay. Dinner was tasty, and they had plenty of options. Breakfast was good as well. I was impressed with the vast array of selections, from hot food, to cold cereal and breads. The shuttle was convenient to have for the airport (less than a 10 minute drive away), though we wished that it was offered every half hour, instead of every hour. The price for the hotel and what you get for it, is very reasonable and well worth it. I wouldn't hesitate to return to the property.

In 14 years of traveling internationally, I have never been treated in such a rude manner. When I came here I told them that I was allergic to certain chemicals in cleaning, such as bleach. For the first week everything was fine, then the cleaner Cindy decides to use chemicals in my room, I came back and got a terrible reaction, then they changed my room, and all the sheets they put on the bed in the new room were stained or dirty or stank. I had to get them to change it six times to find clean sheets. Each time Cindy got angrier and angrier. She had no problem with me sleeping on dirty sheets. Then the new room they put me in was above the kitchen in restaurant so I could not sleep because of the noise starting at 7am finish at 10pm. Then they say they would air out the first room and I could go back in the next day, instead they put another guest in there. The next day after that guest had left the room, it still stank of chemicals -as they did not even clean it or open the window in the bathroom- (where the only air is) they left it filthy from the last guest, ( have photos) Cindy lied that she cleaned it (even though there previous guests towels were still hanging in the room, and she was very rude to me. She was angry that I communicated to the Management what was going on so she became malicious. Then the other cleaner Alejandro purposely took my sheet off my other bed in the noisy room and left me with no sheet. Then the receptionist Stephanie laughed in my face for five minutes when I complained, she then came up to my room and got a sheet and got me to help her put it on the bed even though I'm a paying guest (This was at 5pm after waiting all day for my room) I said the sheet was dirty, she got angry and went and got another, this one was also dirty and stank, so I said softly to her that this was also dirty, and she got so angry and just walked out of my room and ignored me. When I came back from the restaurant she left me locked outside for 15 minutes and did not open the door. Another guest who had just arrived was waiting to. It's 9pm and she will not give me a sheet. Do not stay here if you are a "gringo" they treat you like an animal as they will not treat you in an equal manner if you do not speak Spanish perfect. I speak some Spanish but none of them ever slow down their Spanish so I can understand. They just speak super quick, with no care, also not one speak a word of English. (which is ok, but they could be patient with Spanish). And if you are in the middle of communicating at reception and a Latino comes up they will just ignore you in the middle of the sentence and talk them. I have traveled all over the world and without doubt Stephanie and Cindy are the worst staff I have ever seen at any hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere in the world. Bottom line is I just wanted to pay for a clean, quiet room, which is the purpose of a hotel. They seemed to have forgotten that.

I want you to imagine that you spent 24 or 36 hours traveling by bus, plane or train, all the way to Bogota, Colombia, and then you check into one of the city's most expensive hostels... only to discover that the "hostel" is actually a concert venue with zero soundproofing between the stage and the rooms, meaning that you can hear every word the singers are singing (even with earplugs!), your furniture shakes with every beat on the drum, and your pillow vibrates with every strum of the bass guitar. Welcome to the Selina Chapinero, a hostel that offers pretty much nothing other than obscenely loud music into all hours of the night. It's bizarre that anyone would think it was a good idea to combine a place where people SLEEP (a hostel) with a place that plays LOUD music all night (a concert venue) with absolutely zero soundproofing. However, that's what happens here. You can hear the music in every room on every floor. And when the music finally stops, you can still hear all the noise from the patios where guests hang out (staff don't bother enforcing the posted closure hours) and, apparently, the roads outside. Don't worry about being too tired for any of the hostel's activities, as none are actually offered. Unlike the Selina Candelaria, which has a big board advertising the day's events, there is nothing happening here. Sometimes they advertise activities in the (useless!) app, but then they don't actually offer the activities (for example, movie nights were repeatedly advertised during my stay, but never actually organized or offered). There is a TV at reception that suggests they have some tours, but the tours aren't connected to the hostel (it's just the free walking tours operated by local companies). Their other location has a partnership with the Gringo Tuesday party night... but the Chapinero location doesn't bother. They couldn't care less about creating a social atmosphere, welcoming travelers to Bogota or even providing basic tourist information (I asked how to get from the hostel to Candelaria by transit and the receptionist didn't know!). Overall I found the staff at reception very rude. It was like they'd never stayed at a hostel before and hadn't been trained in basic customer service. It looked like they spent most of their time hanging out with locals - I'm not sure if it was their friends or locals who come to use the on-site coworking space - but in four nights I never saw them smile at a guest, make small talk, ask how someone's day was going or ask if they needed any help. Guests seemed to get in the way of their chatting and playing on their phones. Additionally, there was an ongoing domestic violence incident in the hostel during my stay, and it was not handled appropriately. Guests who verbally abuse anyone - including their own travel companions - at extreme volumes, for hours on end, need to be removed from the premises. The fact that this behavior is tolerated and ignored by reception and security staff (after

I stayed here with my wife and 5 yo daughter during the layover for returning back to Medellin during the Holy Week (Semana Santa 2022) - to be precise between saturday 16th and sunday 17th , 1 night for 2 adults+1 child in a standard room with breakfast booked using booking.com. I was given room # 238. We started off from Medellin on 09th april and stayed for 2 nights in BOG (Hotel Novotel in Parque 93) before heading towards Boyaca - 2 nights in Villa de Leyva (Hotel El Duruelo) and 3 nights in Estelar Paipa (Highly recommended). We thought of giving a try to Estelar Fontana after our wonderful experience in the 1st night in Estelar Paipa. However i was wrong After a 4 hour long drive from Paipa, we reached the security gate of Estelar Fontana saturday at 530PM. Harsh security personnel, was asked to park the car outside instead of the covered underground parking. Had to pull out our bags by ourselves, i mean there was no bell boy waiting for us. Process of checkin took more than 15 mins by the personnal (Her name was PAULA - normal behaviour nothing special neither harsh); there was a huge presence of IBERIA flight crew who were probably getting more attention. Anyways, moved to Room 238 and the shock was - too small room compared to the photos shown in the web sites etc. I doubt whether it was really 28 m2. Anyways we just quickly cleaned ourselves and headed to Zona T for lunch+dinner. Bed was comfy , however 5 star hotel without ironing board and an iron, with an exhaust fan in the bathroom that does not work and the shower doors that does not get closed properly - SHAME !!!! After a night's sleep with 3 of us in that small "queen" bed, we had to get up early as sunday we had to return back to Medellin and as everybody knows, freeways in Colombia sucks. So we woke early, had quick showers and had everything packed and headed for breakfast. The whole restaurant staff seemed to be lost somewhere - too snobbish or are too cold - i never felt any kind of warmth in them. Unfortunately i didn't take snaps - was more worried about starting early on the road , however they prepared some fried eggs for my 5 yo which had a terrible stink of the frying pan (probably the smell of a new teflon non sticking pan) , served like 3 huge waffles for my kid even though the guy (was wearing a chef's uniform) heard me over the glass window that the plate was for my daughter. My wife also faced a similar situation (she is although a colombian "paisa") - was served like 3 huge spoons of scrambled eggs - i mean did these guys feel like we are some kind of beggars or what? Checkout - the same , the lady at the counter kept on calling on walkie-talkie about the mini bar consumptions, however there was no body at 830am to check and freeze our account so that we can pay and leave. It took approx 15 mins to do the checkout. Bell boy who assisted us to take our bags to the car though greeted us and requested us to come back again - GOSH!!!!! I am sharing this expe
