Under the bridge, it is not too good to find, noisy! Others are OK, 10 minutes walk from the Philadelphia Council Hall, breakfast is full, the gym is small but very good, the parking management needs to be improved, I am anxious to send the sender in the morning but there is a car blocked the passage, only Uber can leave. Service attitude is OK! so so

I have mixed reviews about this place. We visited from out of town and wanted to see all the historic aspects of Philly. The location for this hotel is perfect walking distance to most historic sites which we enjoyed! However, upon check in, we received a room with a window next to a busy street and fire station. It was so loud all the time on the second floor ( room 206) and at night and morning due to buses and emergency vehicles leaving. Bring earplugs! We immediately noticed this when we entered the room and put our stuff down and called the front desk but they would not change our room due to it being sold out. I’m don’t believe it. Had our room had bugs or bed bugs, they would have switched us immediately. The walls are pretty thin too and we had some loud neighbors with music and tv blasting at the beginning. The hotel promptly came up and took care of that for us. There is no complimentary breakfast which I knew about but figured we’d find a cafe close each morning and grab something. Don’t rely on that! There are no cafes close. The last thing I want to think about is finding breakfast after I get ready. The buffet breakfast was decent but $20 a person. And one waffle a la carte was $14. With a family, that’s just too expensive for a 4 night stay. They did have a grab and go section for small cereals but nothing filling. I enjoyed that the hotel had a parking garage but wow $44 a day!!! That’s crazy! There were very limited hotels in the city that have parking so I choose a hotel with parking and close to historic sites versus one that didn’t include breakfast. But honestly, if I had to choose again, I’d spend more money and make sure my hotel included breakfast, parking, and wasn’t close to any emergency hubs. The hotel rooms is not very updated but the lobby is. Popcorn ceilings in rooms. The tvs are just cable and not updated smart tvs. The only light in the small bathroom is the warm yellow light around the mirror. Beds were comfy. Take your money elsewhere and enjoy upgraded amenities and services.

This hostel was really nice. It is located right downtown and in easy walking distance of all the sights. The hostel seems to attract a really friendly crowd and I enjoyed hanging out with some of the other backpackers. If I went again I think I might go for a private room, but I would definitely return to stay again if I went to Philadelphia

This is a lovely boutique style hotel in a great location. All the staff interactions were top notch. Typical breakfast hotel with enough offerings for all diets/restrictions. Some people may complain the room is small, but it is a fair trade for the amenties and location. Parking garage was around the block and easily doable for able bodied people. My son and I walked back to the hotel from garage around 11 PM after a baseball game and felt perfectly safe. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Joe was excellent, engaging, and efficient on our check in. His customer focused friendly efforts were outstanding. We had a long morning and his desire to make us feel welcome we’re appreciated. Breakfast staff was also very accommodating. Great room with great view. The extra space is important as we have a teenager with us.

My daughter, dog, and I recently returned from a trip to Philly. We chose the Hotel Monaco because it was conveniently located right next to Independence Hall and because it's pet friendly. I shot an e-mail to the concierge regarding some concerns I had (my daughter has special needs). Rashid, the concierge, went above and beyond to make our trip the most memorable vacation to-date. The rooms are clean, you can't find a better location, the staff is lovely and accommodating, the hotel is gorgeous, and the concierge is one in a million. By the end of our trip, he was like family. There's no doubt in my mind that Hotel Monaco is OUR hotel for every future stay. My family was worried to see their daughter and granddaughter go alone so far away. Rashid made sure we had a safe and enjoyable experience from the moment our plane touched down, and my parents felt so much better knowing there were people in town watching out for us. Invaluable! I'll be telling the story of this trip for the rest of my life and Rashid will be the Right Hand Man in my story who made our trip so memorable. I can never repay the kindness and care he gave us, but I hope this review will make him smile. The Hotel Monaco has changed my perception of what a hotel should be, and I have to say, I'm spoiled and dying to return!

Old City Philadelphia is a good area for tourists but this Marriott may not be the best choice for lodging in the area. It is convenient to some of the historic sites like Independence Hall and it's also convenient for Headhouse Square (restaurants on South Street) and the Ritz movie theatre. But the hotel is close to I95 so you'll hear traffic unless you ask for the quiet side of the hotel. Our room had inadequate air conditioning - it was a blessing when the AC ran because it quieted the outside noise. But it ran infrequently. I was here for a conference and the conference rooms are convenient and adequate. But don't plan to dine at the hotel. At check in we were gifted with a voucher for the buffet breakfast which normally costs $17.95. Wow! First, the buffet consists of oatmeal, sausage, eggs and fruit. There are packages of bagels and bread, and some cookies. There were no extras (they were all out) for oatmeal toppings. It's all self service and I had to clean a table before sitting - I don't mind, but the attitude of the attendant I did mind. She was gruff. At one point someone dropped fruit salad on the floor and picked up the pieces of fruit but the liquid was still obvious - the attendant just threw up her hands when someone pointed to the spill - hoping to avoid a fall. The attendant just didn't care. I asked her for a bowl and she just plopped a stack next to me - no comments. Very rude. Anyone who pays $17.95 for this ”buffet” will be sorely disappointed. You can walk over to Headhouse Square, 10 minutes away, and get a great breakfast for less money at the South Street Diner. Overnight parking is expensive at the hotel. Housekeeping was sketchy at first - all I got was a refresh of the towels until I found the housekeeping manager and asked that the room be cleaned.

It takes only two minutes to walk to the city hall. There is also a subway near the entrance. It will be fast everywhere. If parents go to Philadelphia next time I'm sure to play this

Friendly staff, clean room... contemporary design in the room, but the bathroom felt a little dated to me. Nicely decorated, but definitely saw clues of where the building and room was on the older side... for example, we had 4 ppl staying in the room, but there was no place to hang used bath towels in the bathroom... so we hung towels in the closet on hangers. Weird right? The hotel was generally nice, but a few quirks kinda got under my skin. First, we did self parking and while there is a garage in the building (convenient) the signage for where to park is vague at best. Eventually we found an employee who told us we could park on the first floor (closest to street) - but in spots marked as ”reserved”... of course this happened after we drove all the way to the bottom of the garage, looking for ”Westin guests park here” signs. Secondly, we were there on a long weekend and wanted to do some sightseeing. It was a healthy 15-20 min walk to the Reading Terminal Market (a comfortable walk around/through City Hall), and we had to drive to Chinatown. On this particular trip to Philly we didn't visit Independence Hall, but that isn't close either. Nice place, but there are definitely more convenient hotels for tourists.

We came from Wisconsin for the Brewers games against the Phillies with my in-laws. After a long drive, we were excited to arrive, but as we drove into the area it's a bit strange. There's nothing really near by and trash everywhere. I'll give them a little bit of a break as it was early Spring, but the seedy people outside didn't help either. We got into our room and initially we thought it looked nice, but after looking around, I was wondering if we were being punked. The bathroom looked nice, except for the askew vanity that looked like if you touched it, it would fall. Then add the fact you couldn't close the door all the way without it scratching on the marble piece underneath and making the most AWFUL noise. I seriously questioned for a minute if I would catch something from the couch it was so gross and filthy. While we were in my in-laws room I looked and said to my husband, ”is their mattress thicker?” Sure enough, by 2.5” inches. Our mattress was old, you could feel the springs. And then there were the breakfasts. I'll just give you the worst, chunky milk. Between the nastiness, the crap mattress, the breakfasts and the people toking up down the hall, we actually considered moving hotels and asking for a full refund.

The hotel was worth the rate. I enjoy Hilton hotels for travel. The only issue I had was that there was a group traveling with children who checked in the day after I did and they were very noisy. They were staying between several rooms and the children would run through the halls. The adults would hold loud conversations in the hallway which was disturbing at times.

The location is awesome. Easy to get to and from the major attraction in the city. i was there for the Penn Relays and it was a great, easy scenic 1.5 mile walk to and from each day. Got my exercise while seeing the city from on foot. Best of all on my walks this was how i decided where I would eat breakfast and dinner. So I was able to try something different each day. i was a little tempted to try Ruth Chris but I did not :(. The train ride to and from the airport was quick, easy directions to follow and though not the most scenic ride on the train, seeing the steel and stuff looks industrial America. I likes!! I did try one of the take out Chinese food spots ..oh man.. that was colorful to say the least...Bring Your Own Bag!! What an experience that was.. I guess its a city thing. The room was nice. I got real comfy real fast. The bed was super comfy and the view reminded me of my college days in NY. Just watching cars go by and at night with the lights reflecting off the windows creating various patterns. My only challenge was the TV... can you believe after all that good stuff my issue was the TV!? Just the hardest thing to navigate. maybe its cause I dont watch enough TV. :).

Just inside Chinatown, eating around is very convenient, and it is close to several major attractions in Philadelphia. It is a ten-minute walk to see the Liberty Bell. In fact, as a turnaround to Boston, there is no plan to walk in Philadelphia. Overall good, but the parking lot stops relatively far, you have to take the elevator to come in from another door, one night seems to be 30 knives, counted as a cheap parking fee in the United States.

We are Diamond members, however, we were not treated as such at this hotel. Before arriving I communicated with the hotel regarding a request for extra pillows and an extra blanket. I have Lupus and have a condition where I cannot sleep laying flat as I have difficulty breathing. The hotel said they would have the items placed in the room ahead of our arrival. We got to the room and the items were not there. We arrived late in the evening so we called down and had to wait again for the items to come up since the front desk said they were short staffed. We had tickets to a museum the next day and an ansy two-year-old. We were not able to get settled until after 10:00 PM when someone finally brought the items up. Then, as a Diamond member, I am supposed to receive 2 water bottles and a snack (per my profile) upon arrival. Those items were not offered to us. When my husband went back down to ask about the items at the front desk he was told ”the Homewood Suites does not do that. That's only at the Hilton next door.” So we had to purchase two bottles of water. This too was annoying since I take medication for my Lupus and purposely did not stop to pick water up because I knew I would have free water given to me upon arrival at the hotel. Finally, we were not able to log onto the wifi because they had my last name incorrect in the system so when I added my last name and room number I kept getting an error message. When I called down to ask at the front desk I was told I would need to bring the devices downstairs since whomever I was speaking with was more visual and needed to see what I was talking about to be able to help me. My husband was in the shower and I was trying to connect my toddler's iPad so that I could get ready. Coming downstairs with my toddler was not convenient and I'm not sure what she needed to see when I told her what I had tried and the error message I was receiving. It clearly stated my name was not in the system. I also forgot to mention that even though I clearly indicated that there would be 3 guests on my reservation there were only enough towels and washcloths for two people so we also had to call and get extra brought up. The room however was clean and the hotel central to the sites we visited. The parking lot across and down the street was inconvenient especially when you have a lot of stuff and don't want to make multiple trips at night. All in all, the stay was not ideal. We won't be returning or recommending.

The first thing we noticed when getting to our room was the lovely note that addressed as “Valued Guest”. I’ve enclosed a picture. It gave us lots of useful information about the hotel like the fact that they will never, under any circumstances, enter our room. This includes cleaning. This is to protect us from the pandemic, which is so thoughtful and caring of them. Interestingly, this experience taught me that the COVID virus has some fascinating properties. If you are in your room, it is extremely deadly and virulent and requires complete isolation. However, if you’re in the restaurant or bar spending money, you can congregate freely and maskless. I had no idea spending money had anti-viral properties. This keeps the restaurant workers very busy. On the other hand, the housekeepers that previously worked there now have a chance to pursue other interests with their free time (perhaps finding new recipes for dog food to feed their families. The room itself was fun. We had a resident pet (see enclosed picture) who went out of her way to kill any insects in one corner of our room. There was a fun puzzle sticker peeling away in the shower (see picture). I can’t figure out what it means, can you? We also enjoyed the extra space provided by not having a security safe in the room. Who needs one when no one will ever come in. The employees were fun too. When I called to reserve the pool per the instructions on the lovely Valued Guest note, we were told we didn’t need to. Haha Mr. Desk Clerk – gaslighting is fun. In keeping with their apparent motto of “We can always do less”, I had an experience in the Bistro with a barista who was extremely eager to do a great job and take good care of me. But management noticed immediately and instantly reprimanded him for it. I like a business that stick to its values! I wanted to let management know about my fun and interesting experience. As you’ll see at the bottom of the Valued Guest note, they let us know how desperately they want to exceed our expectations and ask us to fill out a brief survey on the back of the letter. But flip it over and hahaha it’s a blank page. Well played Courtyard… well played.

Instead of making reservations for family members studying abroad at the University of Pennsylvania, the hotel is right next to the school. The LOUIE-LOUIE restaurant in the hotel’s weekend BRUNCH is more famous in Philadelphia, mainly for salads and breads. The overall service of the hotel is good. Due to the epidemic and other reasons, the hotel reservation has been modified three times. Since it is a free cancellation before the deadline of the reservation, the refund of the Ctrip credit card is fast for each cancellation. Need a thumbs up! 🍃Environment:

The breakfast was so bad it was not worth the price. Burgers are hard to eat. I suspect they are bad. Lipsticks are on the water glass. The dishes are not washed properly. I ca n’t eat them at all. There was no way we could take some fruit and yogurt and leave the next day.

The hotel is not bad, check in and check out are met with a special nice front desk, Xavier, must mention it. The location is very good, on the edge of the downtown area, it is very convenient to go shopping and drinking. It is not far from walking to the Barnes Foundation Museum. Of course, a little more is the Art Palace and the Rodin Sculpture Museum. There is a Chinese restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, which is better than the chain fast food. The Chinese stomach is OK. The rooms are large with kitchen, free coffee and mineral water, and the kitchen is stocked with a small bottle of detergent. There is a cloakroom, not a cabinet, a big box spread out no problem. The interior of the room is relatively dull, the hotel is very old, but the competition is spacious and the experience is quite good.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting this classy place inside this hotel. The staff members downstairs were very friendly and the hotel is staggering clean!!! The roof top bar at the 8th floor is just stunning. Will definitely stay in there again if I happen to be in LA in future.

Visit Philadelphia every year and always would stay at Ritz Carlton. This weekend was booked so decided to try the Sofitel and so glad I did. This is our new home when we come to Philly for sports and entertainment. The staff and service is top notch. Ivan the concierge was absolutely wonderful in helping me with surprises for my son for his 21st birthday. He arranged and beautiful balloon bouquet as well as a bottle of chilled champagne and a very nice note. He also was so helpful with restaurant and bar selections and was a wealth of helpful knowledge. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and the rooms and amenities were all great (including the downstairs bar/restaurant). Last but not least the location near Rittenhouse square was very safe and a wonderful area for restaurants, shopping and bars just a short walk away. We look forward to our next trip to Philly and Ivan and the staff I know will be there with open arms. Thank you again for your help.

Not including breakfast. There is a small restaurant downstairs and the extra bed depends on the size of the room. This is a compact business hotel with children. The hotel is located very close to the city hall. There is a trade Joes next to McDonald's. Academy of music is just next to 15 minutes walk to Chinatown about 10 minutes to macy and a street with more shopping shops

The room size is smaller than the average Ritz-Carlton hotel, which is quite satisfactory, no surprises and no disappointment.
