I was very pleased with the 2 Queen Deluxe beds. The room was very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here. Book non smoking and if you smoke. Smoke in your car or outside. There is a $25.00 per pet fee for pets which is nonrefundable and that's understandable and reasonable. Breakfast is the usual waffles, cereal, etc. At least it's something. If you prefer a grand slam, take yourself to Dennys and buy it. If you purchase the deluxe room you have a coffee pot ( the one in my room was missing a tube so it didn't work), the fridge and microwave worked great and I reported the coffee pot. Guests should always report issues. If you do not report issues then they will not be corrected so instead of writing a nasty review. Report the issue. Give the hotel a chance to correct the problem. That is all have a good day.

room was ok, clean with microwave and fridge. AC worked well and wasn't loud. Bed was comfy. Pool was small and not really made for tanning. Breakfast was typical rodeway breakfast with not much on it. wifi was slow, plus everytime you set your phone down, you had to reconnect to the wireless. My problem here is that I'm a light sleeper, so being right along the freeway, you hear everything. Also there is a railway crossing by the hotel too so you hear every whistle of passing trains. You also need to drive everywhere from here because there is not much around here. But is you are a heavy sleeper, this place is fine

The hotel is conveniently located on the main road. Free parking. The swimming pool is larger. The food for breakfast is messy and the variety is not rich but can be full. Use the washing machine for $2 once, and the washing powder is $1.25/box, which needs to be purchased at the front desk.

Terrible dirty hotel with rude staff! During check in they are more than happy to Inform you that you will have to pay $50 per day for parking! No one will mention that they DO NOT OFFER HOUSEKEEPING!' yep this hotel does not clean your room during your stay! When asked about it my husband was told that they don't clean on Sunday's but when I asked about it I was told it was for the safety of their staff they only clean after you checkout! I asked was this mentioned o written online or posted somewhere and no one would ord could answer You have to call for trash pickup, fresh towels, and we were without toilet paper!!!! I asked for a manager and we'll let's say I'm still waiting! The room smelled like weed and burning incense! The cafe staff won't acknowledge your presence and when they do the Director of food and beverage who happens to be filling in because they are short staffed will tell you he's not a bartender and the drinks. The TVs don't work, windows and balcony was filthy to say the least. During check out the "supervisor" could care less to address my concerns. I wrote them on fb and was told that the general manager would reach out to me and I provided my direct contact info to include phone and email. This person calls an incorrect number belonging to my husband and when I call her back she plays phone tag, I left multiple messaged and still no return call. Or even a acknowledgement of my concerns. Now the FB person wont respond either. How sad for such a nice area to have such a crappy hotel and staff.

We met another couple here for vacation with both couples staying at the hotel. We all found the hotel to have comfortable rooms and great beds for sleeping. The rooms are large, and the four of us met up in one of the rooms each night for a nightcap drink and random conversation. The hotel staff was polite and professional throughout our four-day stay. Breakfast was okay but the attendant did get a bit behind in keeping things stocked during the breakfast hours. We did not try the small bar area they have in the lobby. Walk out the back doors and there is the Riverwalk path. The start of the restaurant and bar area is about a 10 minute walk along the river. Our first two days was wonderful weather with temps in the high 70's making it a wonderful walk. The last two days found a cold spell coming in with temps in the 30's making the walk a bit chilly, but this would be the case for anyone walking any distance along the river. Walking to the Alamo is also doable; however, tended to use Lyft when going to other places primarily due to the cold weather. Overall, we would use SpringHill Suites San Antonio Downtown/Riverwalk Area again if visiting again.

I made the reservation basically because we couldn't find a room anywhere else. This location is close to the family we drove to San Antonio to visit. We were in the car for 16 hours and just really ready to crash when we arrived. I had called ahead to confirm the reservation since it was going to be around 9 pm when we arrived. We checked in, fell into bed and went to sleep. The next morning, we woke up to a wonderfully, delicious, free buffet style breakfast with a lot of choices. The hotel staff were polite and though we never needed a thing, asked us often when we passed in the hall or lobby or by the pool area if we needed anything. The room was clean, full-size fridge, a small kitchenette, sitting area and comfortable bed. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a blow dryer were on site. The kitchen area would be great to keep from eating out so often as you could cook a full meal there if you wanted. A cooktop, microwave, dishes, utensils, cups and cookware, were all provided in the kitchenette as well as a coffee maker and toaster. The fridge had a working ice maker that made a lot of ice. I had requested a king size bed which isn't what we got, however, I made the reservations pretty last minute so it was what it was. The person at the desk, not always the same person, was always polite, attentive and available. The pool area was clean and stocked with towels. The room was relatively quiet for a hotel setting and there are stairs and elevators readily available. Plus you can park undercover in a secure basement location. I did not visit the fitness room, but ran in to a woman coming from there and she said it was great. All in all, I would definitively book a room there again next time we go that way. The price was good, the breakfasts were great, the hotel area was clean, the outdoor area was welcoming, easy access to the room from the parking area and the staff was always very nice. It was a great accidental find and I would highly recommend.

I had high hopes for this resort and they did not disappoint. Booked the AAA rate which included a $50 daily food credit. Plus, I was upgraded to the Executive suite using my suite night awards. They also granted me a 4pm check-out. The resort is massive but never did it feel crowed even with a few companies hosting onsite meetings. There are lot of nooks in the public areas for fun and games or just a quiet space to work or read. There were pool tables, checkers, chest and a shuffleboard table. Several fireplaces inside and out to enjoy a drink and conversation. The Executive Suite is essentially a double room – bedroom with a separate living room and a balcony that connects to both rooms and one very large bathroom. The bed was comfortable, but you need to leave the door open between the two rooms as the main AC is in the living room otherwise the bedroom got hot. The bathroom was huge, except there wasn’t a lot of counter space. Large shower with good water pressure and a separate soaking tub. The living room had a small desk, couch and chair. Small fridge and coffee maker in the foyer (hidden). We were really looking forward to spending time in the pool area, which is amazing with all the water slides, lazy river and multiple pools. We were able to get a few good pics the night before. However, we weren’t able to enjoy the pool due the weather (strong thunderstorms with a cold front rolled through during our stay). Food was excellent. The Bonvoy elite breakfast is continental but for $9 more you can upgrade to the full breakfast buffet, worth the upgrade. We had dinner at both restaurants -- Cibolo Moon and High Velocity. Highly recommend the short ribs at Cibolo Moon. While there is a resort fee, it made sense here with all the extra amenities which includes access to the water park, Basketball, tennis and pickle ball courts. Plus, it included two welcome drinks (house wine or beer). Bonus there was no fee for self-parking. We will definitely be coming back.

I have the pleasure of staying at the wonderful hotel from April 6th to April 11th for a family event. During my stay my 19 year niece who have Juvenile Type 1 Diabetics. Early one morning her blood sugar dropped to a dangerous under 50. In a panic I rushed down stairs with all the cash I had on hand with urgency. At the front desk was the lovely Yesnia, I told her what was going and asked if they had Skittles. She pointed to the canteen where I grabbed candies and orange juice. Not knowing how much money I had I was willing to give it all to her. She with passionate told me not to worry about it and encouraged me to tend to my niece. I will NEVER forget this young woman not to mentioned she probably saved my niece from a sure hospital visit or even death The next day I went to the front desk to thank her only to find out she only worked night shift. When I told the front desk staff what she had done they were equally compassionate. I do not remember their names but I am quite sure they remember me, due to the fact I broke out in tears. I was mainly tears of joy knowing with everything that is going on in the world there are still beautiful caring people. My next trip to San Antonio Texas will definitely mean a stay at this beautiful hotel with the awesome staff! Pamala M. Brown, Room 619.

5/5 Excellent hotel, clean. I stayed on an out and back from Phx to Fla in Oct/18 and then again on the way back to Phx in Dec/18. I made the reservation on Bring Fido. A shout out to Gary Lundberg for the excellent check in on both occasions after long drives and late arrivals. Gary was patient and professional, which made staying an easy choice the second time. He's an asset to the property and company! On the down side, parking is limited due to the property size. Getting in and out of a hotel on 1604 is not easy either, however, it's clean and quiet. As for pet friendly, not many areas to exercise the pooch, but for a one night stay it works fine.

I stayed one night at this motel in August 2019. There is plenty of off road parking and building appears clean and orderly. The front desk person was very helpful. The room appeared clean. Everything that was in the room was functional . The air conditioner worked very well. However, there was no hairdryer or shampoo and conditioner. Just 2 bars of soap and 2 packets of makeup remover. There was a sign saying that they would provide items that "you forgot". Price was very reasonable. I think it was about $65.00 for a king room. One thing is that the walls are very thin and you can hear if a baby is crying several rooms down You can also hear your neighbors talking next door. The room came with microwave, small refrigerator, iron and ironing board.

So yesterday I posted a review about this place. In the review, I did state that this place should be 5 star. Actually they are. My issue was that were overbooked and couldn't accomodate me and my family. However; after speaking with the manager, not only did he fix the issue and apologize; he found a way to get me in a room for the night. Housekeeping apologized and made sure I was aware of their intentions. The young man at the front desk Byron, was amazing. Byron was funny, confident and I watched him take care of every guest with the same enthusiasm and respect. He is definitely a bright light to this hotel. Miguel, the manager was extremely professional, courteous and straight forward. The hotel is CLEANED SANITIZED and SAFE! They have overnight security to ensure your car and belongings are safe while you rest. The fitness center is definitely up to par and the pool is decent as well......and I believe its open 24 hours! I originally gave them a bad review and I was 100% wrong. This is 5 Star and I too agree with the rating you guys constantly receive. Thank you Byron........ Thank you Miguel....... After the situation of Hurricane IDA, I truly needed help and you guys delivered. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You!

Worst Hotel Ever. Do Not Stay here saved future Families. 1ST TIME HERE AND NEVER EVER COMING BACK NOR PROMOTE THIS HOTEL. Our Family travel to San Antonio to celebrate my husband birthday and to have our kid to have fun. After visiting Alamo and Riverwalk. We decided to get a Hotel with a pool so our lo can have fun for a little before we hit downtown again for dinner. We want to "Investing a happy memory to our kid memory bank". We checked in and when we get back downstairs my husband asked where's the pool and they just told that the pool will not operate for couple of days. I called my husband to get back in our room we are all in our swimming attire awkward to stay in the lobby so when we get back to the room upset I called the front desk and she hang up the phone. VERY RUDE knowing the General Manager Carlos P. Ortiz was there (he told me himself he was there when his front desk JIMMIE hang up phone with me) and tolerate his front desk Unsympathetic wrong doings, it wasn't a good description for this branch of serving families and in house guest with compassion and respect as they promote their hotel onlines. We called where we booked our room online and decided to go downstairs when we get out our room the front desk JIMMIE was happened to be in the same floor with us I approached her to tell her hanging up with in house guest is not the answer and very rude but she ESCALATES IT by shutting the door LOUD next to the vending machine. We decided to wait her in the lobby when we try to hop in and the elevator open we are shocked that she was there, we didn't knew the room she enters connected to the elevator and she raised her hands and curse and shut the elevator. SUPER RUDE. When we reach the lobby we waited in her in the front desk while I am holding our little one. My husband telling me to calm down as I am starting to get really angry I won't go down to her level I told to myself but I am really upset already with our very short time staying in there and experiencing this inhumane gesture. I started to record her. She's just acting like she didn't see nobody. I asked her if I could cordially speak with her and JIMMIE MAKING FACES like an immature kid which is not suit in her age as she's like very old already to do that and she asked me if I am scaring her. Glad the Police Officer arrived to settle this. We wanna celebrate my husband existence and have a memorable happy family trip but this end and cause us with STRESS, UNFORGETTABLE BADLY EXPERIENCE. I NEVER EXPERIENCE SUCH VERY RUDE WRONG BEHAVIOR IN ANY PLACE WE WENT TO. HOTEL IS line up to HOSPITALITY CAREER INDUSTRY and this hotel shouldn't operate because they don't know how to handle their in-house guest with compassion, kind and it's so unprofessional to deal get a hold with them. TBH maybe if it's only other guest they encounter they'll probably borrow face to a dog for such ugly crappy behavior. Basically we are one of the Unhappy Guest that sets put in this Hotel. Upse

Stayed Rms. 222 and 223 from 7 April to 7/ 14. Been staying here since 2015 on visits to family except for 2029 hiatus due to Covid restrictions. Place is convenient to Shavano are where kids live. Sad to report that the place has really gone downhill. Found out on the 8th that the shower in 222 was all scared up. Cartridge in the old Moen shower valve had been installed backwards. When valve handle was turned to the blue marked side, (which should yield cold water) gave almost boiling hot water. Conversely, when the know was turned to the re marked, received cold water. Of course to turn the shower on at all, one had to go through the blue marked are , which yielded dangerously hot water. That is a real safety issue. I reported it to front desk. Twice. No corrective action at all, all during my stay. Shower head was clogged or partially cloggedin about a quarter of the circumference of the head. The clogs made the shower head spew water out of the shower onto the floor. Could not adjust shower curtain to keep water in tub. Floor got soaked, even with bath mat / rug in place to soak up water. Another serious safety issue, in terms of potential slip and fall problem. Reported to front desk. Multiple times No correction action. Spout for tub was loose and actually fell out of wall when water was flowing through spout before pulling up the diverted know to send water up to shower head. At least not a safety issue. Yes. Told the front desk. No response. Toilet constantly leaked water from the tank through the flapper valve into the bowl. When the tank level dropped enough, the float valve turned and refilled the tank. Every four minutes. Again and again. Every four minutes. Over and over and over. Front desk I hear you ask? Multiple times. No corrective action, and this leak was costing the hotel operator serious money for wasted water. Go figure. One of the five light bulbs in the light bar over the sink was out when I checked in on 7 April. I was still out when I checked out on 14 April. Yes I told the front desk. Multiple times. No corrective action. On the plus side the breakfast buffet was okay. UUsual fare. Not quite the Plaza in NYC, but OK. The pool And garden area in the center courtyard were nice, for both swimming and just for sitting and reading a book or catching up with messages on my phone. Good service from front desk to get cab to go downtown on Sunday the 10th to go to Riverwalk for last day of Fiesta. No way I was going to drive downtown with the crowds at Riverwalk that day. Still overall a very disappointing stay at a hotel we have used for years. Going to need to rearrange hotel accommodations for next trip to San Antonio. The hotel is old and things wear out and break. I understand that. But to have management ignore significant issues, after reporting them multiple times, is just totally unacceptable.

The bottom line of this review is that Comfort Suites and Booking .com are liars and place profit over any sense of human compassion. Their character has been reveled and it is NOT good! San Antonio Texas was hit with an unprecedented snow storm. Homes lost electricity for DAYS! Our home lost electricity for 60 hours! (2 1/2 days) Outside was single digits and our home was 40 degrees I decided on our 2nd day to get a hotel room for the night. We needed a hotel close to home, because the roads were dangerous. I got onto Booking.com App and chose this hotel. There were 4 rooms left for the night. I decided to get a room. I looked at my husband and asked him "it is the 16th correct? and he said yes, it is the 16th" I went ahead and booked a room for that night specifically picking the 16th as my date. Here is where I think is my mistake: I picked the "no cancel" option because we were freezing in our home, and I knew we desperately needed a room. Warning: Always pick the cancel option no matter what!!! I was packing up and decided to call the hotel to see if our room was ready early since we were freezing in our home. The hotel said we had no reservation for that night but the 26th of Feb and that there were no rooms available for the night! and they would NOT cancel! I know I picked the 16th and NOT the 26th! This is where I feel that Comfort Suite and Booking.com are Liars and believe they bumped me up to the 26th. Profit over people. The hotel told me to talk to Booking.com, and Booking.com told me to talk to the hotel. No help at all! We spent the night in our freezing home again for the night. The room was already costing us over $100.00, so why would I try to spend another $100.00+ at another close hotel, just to be bumped again. So we hunkered down again. I tired to cancel with booking.com (I have used many times before) and they would not help, and told me to contact the hotel, and they did not help. Long story short, my husband and I just spent our obligatory night, Feb 26th at this hotel that is 2 minutes from my home. We checked in at the hotel, and the clerk butchered our last name and giggled. I was not in any mood for anyone to drop the ball on customer service and I was NOT impressed. The hotel itself is nice, room was nice, sheets and bedding are soft and amazing. Pillows are great but are too big and we both came home with a neck ache. Bottom line is that I am glad that our obligatory night at this hotel is OVER!!! I am absolutely done with Booking.com! and Comfort Suites. I will look to find great customer service where they know they are dealing with human beings who need help! You hear of wonderful stories of communities coming together to help each other out in emergency situations. This is a story of people in our community that did NOT help out at all and left a 60 year old couple freezing in their home for the night. Not refunding our money

Enjoyed our stay on the Riverwalk. Though this particular Marriott is looking a little worn, our room and the hotel itself was very clean. The customer service, in particular Andrea at the valet stand, was incredible. She was helpful in providing insight, advice, and was just so friendly. She even chased after our Lyft with her knee in a brace after it zoomed by us. The people at the lobby desk, and Bistro bartender were also very friendly and went out of their way to greet us.

Room and other details at the end of this review, but customer service needs to be addressed first. Never have I gotten into an argument with a front desk person before. And this was over TOWELS. So...I booked through Hotels dot com. There were three people in our party (me, my wife, and my 16yo daughter). So, To make the reservation, I put in that we had two adults and one child. The form asked me how old the child was, and I put 16. The site spit out the cost, and I agreed to it and booked the reservation. When we got to the hotel, we find that we had only been left two sets of towels for the three of us. Therefore, I went to the front desk to ask for another set of towels. No biggie, right? That's happened at other hotels before, and the person at the desk usually apologizes with a smile and gets me a towel, then asks if I need anything else. However, at this hotel, the young man at the front desk asked me what room I was in. I told him our room number, and he looked us up in the computer. He said that I only reserved a room for one adult. I told him no, I had booked for two adults and one child. Then he argues with me that my child of 16 is not a child, and that if the child is over 5 years old, the charge would be an extra $10 a night. I said no, that when I booked the reservation, I put in the age of my child, and was was given a price, to which I agreed at the time before I booked. So he argues with me on the definition of a child, and says that my daughter, who is 16 can get her driver's license, so she is an adult. What?? I don't care what his definition of an adult is—the age/price thing was already taken in to consideration when I booked online.* And anyway, what does it matter if she's 16 or 5 or whatever, DOES HER AGE DETERMINE WHETHER SHE CAN HAVE A TOWEL OR NOT? This place is messed up. So, he eventually did get the towel while I was standing there, but he didn't hand me the towel. Instead—without saying anything to me—he left with the towel and took it up to my room and gave it to my daughter in the room. I didn't even know where he went, so I stood at the front desk until he returned. I showed him my reservation on Hotels dot com to show that I didn't book a room for just one adult. He continued to argue with me that my daughter was not a child. Okay... I asked the dude his name, but he wouldn't tell me his name when I asked, so I can only describe him as being from somewhere like Pakistan or India, with a pretty heavy accent. But wait...I just went down to discuss this with him some more, and he wasn't there, so I asked another employee his name and was told, "Oh, his name is Al and HE'S THE OWNER." Really? The OWNER? The owner treats the customer like that? Oh my. What a messed up place this is. If I get home and find an extra charge, somebody else is going to hear about this. So, on to the room. This is an older hotel, and it shows. That doesn't bother me too much. But my wife

This hotel is nice, older but nice! The fact that it’s connected to the river walk is excellent but there are many hotels that are in the same proximity and close to the river walk as well! As an African American I would suggest going the Marriot or somewhere else. There were not many nice desk clerks to assist. Karla was great but the fare skinned girl with the long brown/black hair was very rude! We had a big party and instead of helping to check us in, she stood and behind the desk and did nothing. We had to go and stand in front of her to get assistance and still then she was very rude and very short with us. I was highly disappointed because As a hilton honors member, I know the customer service is not usually that poor. All races should feel comfortable coming here!! No one should feel as a bother or unwanted especially when attending a conference held my the hotel! I was very disappointed! Once again it’s okay, but if you can go somewhere else do it!

Breakfast was fresh and safe. The location conditions were perfect. The service of the hotel employees is very good and they always say hello when they meet. I think it is a very satisfying hotel.

So I'm here for two days staying in room 410. There are signs everywhere saying staff will wear masks but I didn't see any doing so. So I try checking in this morning on the hilton app and it won't let me select a room so I'll just deal with it when I get to the hotel. That was a mistake. I get here at 3:00PM today, and a maskless male employee at the front desk calls me "boss", doesn't thank me for being Hilton gold, and hands me a bag with two bottles of water in it. One of the elevators is broken. I get to my room and from the floorplan of this place, it's one of the smallest rooms at the property. It's nearly empty tonight and they put me as a hilton gold member in one of the smallest rooms on the property. There is not a single USB port in the entire room except for one on the back of the TV - don't forget your charger. This hotel has murky colored dim lighting in the form of compact florescent bulbs still in use everywhere in the room. The mattress seems clean, as do the linens. There are stains all over the walls. There is tape all over the smoke detector so I hope there isn't a fire. The furniture is beat up and has certainly seen better days. The showerhead is caked with mineralization and needs to be cleaned better or replaced. There was a hair on the wall. The caulk around the toilet is falling apart. There are spots of mold on the tiles in the shower and along some of the walls and ceiling. I had a lot of trouble connecting my devices to wifi so I gave up and just used my phone as a hotspot. The thermostat on the wall doesn't control the PTAC window unit. It took me forever to figure out you actually have to use the controls on the PTAC and not the thermostat to set the environmental controls. So I have no idea what this thermostat is for then. The tv is DirecTV so it's digital but has that too-soft overly compressed picture quality to it. Doordash delivers to the hotel and there are lots of options. My doordash driver Angel was super nice and friendly so there's that at least. The hotel itself is "fine". The staff themselves are fine but wish they were wearing masks like the signs say they would be doing and I wish they were friendlier and adhered to policy and didn't call me "boss". I feel like the hotel is overpriced for the condition the hotel is in. Some bleach in the shower to get rid of the mold, updated light bulbs, a new shower head, fixing the caulk around the toilet, and paint touchup on the walls would have made this room not feel so run down. It would have probably caused me to overlook all the scratches on the furniture. When business brings me back to the area - and it most assuredly will - I would not select this property again until improvements are made.

I will start by saying that my hotel room was clean, and the front desk was friendly. It's also VERY convenient to the airport with a frequent shuttle available 24 hours. At that point, I wasn't sure i understood the complaints in the other reviews. Then I started to settle in - I'm just not sure how much I'm supposed to overlook. The first thing I noticed was the ceiling over the shower is peeling. Badly. I figured that wasn't SUCH a bad thing. Then the desk chair is jammed in the lowest setting. So I deal with the desk at chest height - I've had worse. Then the light and outlet on the right side of the bed (my side...) aren't working - I guess I will figure something out to deal with it. Now I go to work out in what looks like one of the nicest gyms I have ever seen for a hotel this size - And find out that ALL FOUR of the treadmills are not working... C'mon - I know that times are tough, but how unlucky a place does this have to be to have that much malfunction??? From a distance, this hotel seems VERY nice - It has everything going for it. Then you get close up, and find out that things just don't seem to be working. This hasn't been the worst experience I've had, and I need to give them props for being clean, friendly, and convenient. If everything (most everything?) was working, I'd have easily given then all five stars.
