Hotels Near El Pescador In Los Angeles
1.96km from El PescadorIt’s an ordinary motel, there’s no hair dryer, the environment is general, and the location is very biased. It’s very noisy when it’s close to the Western Academy and close to the road. If it’s not cheap or come to a friend, don’t choose it.
2.78km from El PescadorThe motel's equipment is generally simple, not comparable to a star hotel, but the uncle who received it is very good, I said there is no lighter, he helped me find a box of matches, about 800 meters from the hotel, there is a supermarket, McDonald's, Starbucks, breakfast settled in Starbucks, then hit Uber to Universal Studios.
3.68km from El PescadorI was in the Pasadena/ Los Angeles Area for a conference and stayed at the Welcome. I was greeted warmly at the front desk and was given advice as to near-by restaurants to eat at. The room was very clean and I was given fresh towels and a made up bed each of the four nights I stayed there. I have no complaints about my stay at all and would consider staying there again should my travels bring me back to Pasadena/LA
4km from El PescadorThis is single-handedly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The ONLY PRO was the bed was clean and housekeeping does a good job cleaning. Besides that I have nothing good to stay about this hotel. I was traveling for business and the hotel was pre-paid. When I went to check-in and was told I couldn't check-in without the original card that was used to pay on Hotels.com. I have never ever heard of a hotel doing this before. EVER. and I travel about 200+ days a year. I was finally allowed to check-in, however, they had to charge another credit card for the the amount we had already paid. I was told there would be a refund on the original card. My office had to call Hotels.com who thought this was extremely weird and is not listed anywhere when you book. Hotels.com had to call the hotel to get the refund back on the original card. The front desk staff was extremely rude as well. I should've followed my gut and left then, because it continued to get worse. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything in the rooms next door and outside. Everytime a door closes in the facility you hear it. YOU HEAR EVERYTHING. I was woken up after just falling asleep at 11:30am by the room next door going in and out of their room. Then I was woken up at 2:20am by someone outside and again at 5am by someone dragging luggage down the stairs. Also, it seems like people live here? So there is a lot of in and out. Do yourself a favor. DON'T stay here.
4.08km from El PescadorThis little motel-turned-into-a-gem surprised us. To be honest, when we initially drove by, we almost decided to forfeit our night's reservation and just try to find somewhere else to stay. We used to live in Los Angeles and were dismayed to realize that I had made a reservation at...THAT place. But the current management has worked wonders. Everything is clean, updated and as beautiful as possible with lots of delightful and unexpected design details. There was a complete mural on the ceiling of our room--lovely. Outside, at the edge of what is just a concrete parking area, the managers have carved out a little space of serenity with greenery and a lovely park bench. All the extra little touches have turned an older and potentially tired property into a place with class and beauty. We'll be back when we visit LA again.
4.14km from El PescadorGreat staff, clean rooms, well kept grounds, Staff available 24 hours, no coffee or phones. Large TV, decent size bathroom. Community microwave, filtered hot and cold water available onsite, refrigerator in room. Don't be put off by location or motel age (1930's). It's well taken care of and Mission road provides easy access to many parts of the city. The clean cabin/cottage style rooms might seem minimal but are more than adequate and provide a cute, quaint look at the past. Pros: clean, great staff, easy access to two freeways, easy access to a couple of hospitals (LAC-USC and White Memorial), all room and parking access isp past the office, lots of cameras, good showers, comfortable beds and pillows, A/C worked, rooms are not wall to wall. Cons: parking can be tricky if no vacancies, took a long time for the water to heat in the room I was in, A/C fan was noisy. This one is both good and bad: Not much in the area, which means not a lot of odd activity. Again both good and bad: it's not a resort. There is a convenience store, laundermat, a take out restaurant and Lincoln Park all in walking distance.

4.65km from El PescadorThis hotel/Motel is a rip off and there thiefs they said the room was $80 when I checked my bank account app it said $98 dollars don't come to this place the guy at the front desk looks at you weird and also is very rude. Place is in a sketchy place is should 0 stars because it's not a good place to stay not worth your money studio city in commerce is only $80 and they will refund your money and won't steal from and the rooms are way more nice and cleaner .

4.87km from El PescadorWe decided to try out this hotel as it is not too far from the major attraction and away from the busy city. This hotel is located in the corner of highway, therefore expect highway noise if you stay here. Parking space could be a bit challenging and tight but we have no problem getting one even we come back after 10:00 P.M. The wall is thin, we can hear the noise from vending machine and ice machine because our room is next to it. On the good side, the room and bathroom are very spacious. Outdoor pool on the premises. They are tuck in the far corner of the building and covered with shade from trees. They only offer valet laundry. Staffs are very friendly. Small breakfast area but they office a variety of selection. The days we stay there, they offered hot breakfast like sausage and bacon, there are also fresh cut fruits, Greek yogurt, and wide selection of bread, and pastry. They even have organic soy milk to go with your coffee or tea.
5.69km from El PescadorWe chose this motel because a friend was having out patient surgery at USC. This was very convenient and in fact, across the street from the ER entrance. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable rate for the area. Free covered par was a big plus. Walking distance from several decent restaurants. The room was clean and quiet except for a little street noise. The heat/ air conditioning was working well and provides white noise if you need it. The staff was available and polite. There is no lobby only a check in window. The water was hot and soap, shampoo etc was provided. Small fridge and microwave. You have to make a short walk to Starbucks for coffee. I was glad I keep an extra blanket in my car as the linens are a bit skimpy. Over all not bad at all.

6.13km from El PescadorWhen I arrived to check in the man at the front dest openly discriminated against me due to my disability. I have a permanent disability and am accompanied by a service dog. When I went to check in the man at the front desk demanded paperwork and identification from me for my dog. Not only does that not exist in the US but it is illegal for business to ask for paperwork. Whenever I travel with my service dog I bring a copy of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) to help answer questions and explain when there are problems. When I showed the man the section on paperwork and what hotels are allowed to ask he told me that it didn't matter and that he is required to ask for paperwork. I was very calm throughout the entire altercation and tried to explain nicely that what he was asking is illegal. At this point my boyfriend got worried that I was taking so long so he came in the building and saw what was happening. The man at the front desk then proceeded to say that if I didn't show paperwork he was going to refuse me service. He claimed that he was allowed to deny me service for any reason. I explained that denying me on the basis of a disability is discrimination and not allowed. I had made this reservation in advance and had no back up plan for overnight accommodations. When I asked what I was supposed to do he told me he didn't care. At this point my boyfriend called the police and we went out to the parking lot together. Within a few minutes of being in the parking lot the man from the front desk came out to say that he was wrong for asking for paperwork. He then proceeded to blatantly ask what what my disability is. This is not only illegal but highly personal. I responded by saying that my dog is a medical alert and response dog. The man was not satisfied with that answer and again asked what my specific disability is. Eventually he gave up and let me check in but it was a very poor first experience with Super 8 Hotels. During my entire stay I was on edge and stressed. Every time I walked through the lobby to go outside I could feel the man glaring at me. I had originally planned to stay in this hotel again on my way home from my trip but after this experience I cancelled and chose another hotel that was much more accommodating. I understand that people falsely representing service animals is harmful and this man has probably had bad experiences in the past, but as a disabled person with a legitimate and highly trained service dog this was not okay.
Hotels Near El Pescador In Los Angeles Review
The environment is very good, because several hotels resident on this day moved to here for three nights without rooms, the price is slightly expensive, but the hotel environment and room settings are really good, super warm and sweet feeling, Small promenade and open air area outside Big Love Hotel
Amy Bloch, the Concierge, contacted us about 2 weeks before our arrival asking if there was anything she could do for us either setting up any tours, restaurant suggestions and reservations or anything we might need. After asking for suggestions on restaurants she did send me quite a selection of different types of restaurants along with things to do around Hollywood and Los Angeles. When my friend and I arrived Amy greeted us at the front desk, welcoming us to the Roosevelt Hotel. The entire staff from the front desk, the guys at the valet parking, housekeeping and room service were outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Everyone at the hotel, especially Amy made our stay simply fantastic. The Roosevelt Hotel is the only place we would stay in Hollywood.
Downtown Los Angeles
It's a big place like Los Angeles, and the room is so small, I feel drunk too. It is too small to open the luggage, which is inconvenient to open. I specifically explained that I want a quiet room. The garbage truck on the street started to pull garbage less than 5:00 in the morning. The staff talked. I thought the window was not closed. As a result, there was no window for you to open. It was just a piece of glass with light. Just come in. A small refrigerator, placed on a shelf, but not in a cabinet. There is nothing in the refrigerator, but it is plugged in, and the operation noise is noisy all night. It will collapse when you live one day. No one will help you. Carry luggage. No one asks if you need help. Is this still Los Angeles I know?
The beds are ok, moderately hard and soft. The location is good. It is convenient to walk everywhere, and around breakfast. Walking on HIlls street towards 3rd street, everything is there. May not stay here next time, unless there is no choice.
Los Angeles International Airport Area
Because of the proximity to the airport, the sound of the plane taking off and landing has never stopped, quiet is not enough, and I can sleep.
The hotel room did not actively provide slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It was okay to call to ask the housekeeping to arrive.
The bathtub has no glass door, just a plastic shower curtain. The shower faucet is fixed to the wall.
There is a free shuttle to the airport 24 hours. The driver also helped to carry luggage up and down. The service was good.
My family has been using the Anza hotel for all of our trips to the Calabasas/LA area for the past 4 years or so, and we love it here. I hope we can continue to rely on the Anza for years to come. Beautiful rooms, superb location, and best of all they allow pets! The prices for rooms are very reasonable and they all have a nice "boutique feel" to them which adds something special. I want to add an extra note about my last stay here, which took place during the first days of the Covid-19 outbreak. I traveled alone without my husband and child to Calabasas/California because I needed to be with a gravely ill parent who soon passed away. Being able to stay in a comfortable hotel during this awful period was such a comfort to me, and I want to add that Ryan, who works at the Bistro restaurant and bar, was especially great to me during this time. Ryan prepared delicious meals for me, got to know me and my love for an evening glass of wine right away, and was a warm, friendly presence when I came home from the hospital at night (and in later days, came home to the hotel after days spent making final arrangements). Ryan and the team at the Anza who continued to work during the stressful days of Covid-19 "stay at home restrictions" were truly a blessing to me and I value, and am so grateful for, their work on the behalf of me and other guests who really needed a hotel stay for emergency reasons.
Everything was on point! All the staff were very accommodating! I arrived early Saturday and I was lucky to get a room early. Which helped a lot since we were on the go per our Soccer Tournament. When we needed a space to have our potluck in the evening they helped with our set up. Everyone was very friendly and customer service was amazing!
