Hotels Near El Pulpo In Westmont Review
The Swiss Hotel Chicago was booked mainly for the marathon, and this time it was the right choice. I have to say that it is true that Ctrip is free to go abroad and it is really easy to use. I bought air tickets, booked accommodation, and Ctrip made it all.
In the United States for so many days, I stayed at the Swiss Hotel in Chicago for the longest time. The Chicago River was just a few steps away, and I took a few steps to the shore of Lake Michigan. It was a runner's paradise. A large number of cruise ships parked in the port. Swim in turquoise lakes in a team. In the distance are the planetarium and the Field Museum, if you don't hurry, you can walk over to visit. The world is beautiful and beautiful.
There is a very popular restaurant for breakfast on the first floor of the hotel. The taste is good. You can watch the night view of Chicago on the top floor and take photos. It feels good to stay. I have stayed twice and walked to the surrounding attractions. Trump Hotel across the river
The rooms are small but in the bustling downtown area, the surrounding facilities are particularly convenient. You can see the historical buildings outside the window. For this price, it is very cost-effective and it is recommended for tourism or business travel
It was not convenient for the children to transition for a few days, and the rooms were not bad. More than 400 yuan a night was not cheap, and the price increased to 600 later. But it is cheap for the United States. Breakfast is not included. It's good to arrive early if there is room available to check in early.
The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Millennium Park, Glitter Park, and the Art Gallery of Chicago. It is a 10-minute walk to Lake Michigan and the cruise ship terminal. There is a Cantonese restaurant near the hotel, which is very delicate and tastes very good. The net red deep pizza restaurant Giordano's is also nearby. Next to the hotel is a CVC store, shopping is super convenient. The hotel is in a good environment, the view of Lake Michigan can be seen in the room, the service is good, the room is clean. A recommended hotel
Very old hotel, the elevator is very small, the corridor is very narrow, the room facilities are very old, the only advantage is that the location is not bad. The most disappointing thing is that the service of the hotel wants to say that the room service service slippers are good, but in the room, etc. After more than an hour, I didn't send it again. I asked if I didn't have slippers. I don't know if I have a slipper. I still have to call back to ask what the hotel is really lucky. I only stayed for two nights and cleaned the next morning. The aunt came to knock on the door at nine o'clock, and it was all right. Finally, the hotel room card will be back in the morning and the hotel will not be able to brush up and go to the lobby to re-brush the hotel! If you don't have a cheap map, don't live. Just blame us for the price increase of the Chicago hotel when we go. This broken hotel has to be 2000 nights.
There is no breakfast at the West Loop Hotel in Chicago. It is necessary to prepare something in advance. It is close to the subway station. It is not suitable for children. There is no place to play around.
When I booked the hotel, I found it very good to have breakfast. I did n’t know that the dinner was served free of charge until the end of 19 o’clock. Every day there are changes. Sometimes pasta and sometimes pizza. There are take-away tableware for returning to the room. The kitchen in the room only uses a microwave, but in fact the kitchen is very full. You can cook with just a few spices. The hot coffee in the lobby is available 24 hours, and sometimes there are small dishes in the evening. Dim sum, many foreigners live here with their children. It is very cheap around 550 after New Year's Day, very good value,
I went to live on Thanksgiving last year. Living in a high place overlooking the city of Chicago, the hotel rooms are large, the supplies are very high, and the facilities are complete. And the service is very good, the wine in the minibar is reasonably priced, and the customer service staff at the front desk will deliver ice cubes. Where the five-star hotel should be done, the Trumptower is perfectly completed.
Breakfast is an American breakfast, and it is necessary to order a place to eat according to the menu. Hotel location is very good, in the city center, very close to Michigan Avenue, behind is also a place to shop, there are many shoe stores, relatively speaking, this location is relatively safe. And it is opposite the Trump Building, hahaha, the night view is still very good. Travel, the most important thing is to be safe. The deposit is $100, the front desk is relatively small, and there is no hotel in China at this price. The service is generally the same. Because the toilet drains in the room leaked on the first day, we called them to come and repair them. As a result, when they came, we were all The bathroom was blowing and blowing, they slammed the door. We were anxious to ask them to wait for a minute. As a result, when the clothes were ready to ask the outsider’s response....there was no response, and we did not dare to open the door. The cat's eyes in the hotel are very blurry and it is not very happy.
Business trip, the hotel is 20 minutes walk away from the meeting place, very convenient, the hotel is fairly clean, hot water is provided. The hotel is close to Chinatown and there are supermarkets and small Chinese restaurants nearby. The consumption is not high. Close to the subway station, a few minutes. The only drawback is that it looks like the countryside, a few kilometers from the city center, but it's a thousand miles apart.
The hotel is strategically located with panoramic views of Chicago's lakeside, not far from the whole foods market, within walking distance from the gorgeous street, Navy Square, and Millennium Park. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Hotel location is a little distance from the gorgeous one mile, but turn left at the hotel for about 6-7 minutes, is the CHICAGO station on the red line, turn right at the hotel and take a BLOCK is Michigan Avenue, the front desk service is very good, the doorman is also polite, opinions The guests approached and took the initiative to help the guests open the door. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, the bathroom is super large, and the toiletries are Ferragamo. Mineral water is available in sufficient quantities. The waiter was polite. That is, WiFi is not too powerful. Breakfast is ordering, there is no self-help, the choice is small.
When you enter any establishment being greeted with a smile sets the tone for everything. I was greeted with a hostile guest which rubbed off on the staff members and in turn made my checkin uncomfortable. Then the staff members told us Pool was on 8th floor, my children get in their suits go to the pool to find it was not even filled or in service. We rented premium rooms with snacks and drinks got in to our room and found no drinks or snacks. The valet man in the evening was far from friendly. I also did not like how they would park my vehicle with hazards on and left unlocked on the street. Crime rate in Chicago is always high it would be a good suggestion to lock the vehicles rather than leaving them unattended and unlocked. Our room smelled like marijuana and yes I get it’s legal in the state however can you not circulate some fresh air into the ventilation system? The view was amazing but I was less than impressed with this stay.
The location is very good, and it is very convenient to go out. It is in the city center, separated by a road from Michigan Avenue and close to the Chicago River.
I arrived in the evening, and I went in by the side door of the parking lot. I found the main entrance and the lobby the next morning. The appearance is still beautiful and the facilities are good. But Ctrip booked a room in the West Building, which was very old, and many places didn't look clean. So I still have to adhere to my usual principle to live in a new hotel, otherwise I am afraid that I will encounter similar problems. The stains over time look very uncomfortable.
Room with Starbucks coffee bag and tea, better than a hotel in Las Vegas!
The hotel has no breakfast. The Italian restaurant on the first floor was renovated and temporarily closed. However, fresh coffee, soft drinks, fruit and snacks are available throughout the day in the lounge area on the 2nd floor. Each floor has facilities for filling pure water. The location is superb, on the banks of the Chicago River, opposite the Trump Tower. Easy to travel.
The hotel is in a good location, in a business and commercial district in the heart of the city, with good security. Nearby are Macy's, Target, and a variety of restaurants, convenience stores and fast food restaurants that can be reached in just 10 minutes. Chicago's main attractions are also in sight, such as the Willis Tower, which is only two blocks away, along the riverside trails, watching the iron bridges and cross-strait buildings on the Chicago River, and unwittingly reaching Cloud Gate and Navy Pier. The basic facilities of the hotel are simple but complete, which is enough for the rest of the guests.
The rooms are medium in size and located in the city center. The surrounding facilities are complete, there are shopping malls and a lot of restaurants. For downtown hotels, the price / performance ratio is very good! Hilton's Samsung Hotel, but this brand can meet the four-star standard in China. I personally like this brand and recommend it!
I wanted to write this review because I actually did like this hotel, however I did have experiences that I did not like. I decided to stay at this hotel because I had a surgery in Chicago and wanted to stay in a nice place with a nice view so that I could feel comfortable in my recovery. The view in my room was a corner city view and I truly loved it. It was exactly what I was looking for. Maya checks me and my friend in and she was extremely nice and helpful. I had called the hotel ahead of time to make sure that my room was clean upon arrival as I read a few bad reviews on cleanliness and wanted my room clean as I was going to recover in the room. As nice as Maya was the rest of the staff where not as friendly but they were not rude either, except for someone I called from my room to see if my grubhub had arrived, he rudely answered I dont know. I did not know how the process was and maybe he could have just explained it. The room was clean, the bed was sooo comfortable, the view was amazing. I won’t judge the place on room service and amenities because I understand during covid most services were not being held, however if I needed an extra towel or something I would call room service and they would bring it right up. The hotel is close to super markets, target, gas stations and Starbucks which was awesome. Now for the bad part, there were a bunch of people always hanging out by the entrance and i felt no privacy when I was checking in. People were allowed to wait on the reception area weather they were staying at the hotel or not. This made me feel unsafe as every time I left and returned to my hotel room a group of people would be there to see. I read a horrible review about a death on the parking lot a block over before my stay and so many people at the doorway had me a lil scared. Too many parties happened at the hotel for new year, crowded elevators with people that had no masks on. My room had an extreme cigarette smell that I had to go buy a febreeze because the smell was so overwhelming and I was staying at a non smoking room. The rugs and curtains smelled like ashes but the longer i stood in the room and sprayed fabreeze everything slowly but surely started smelling better. I loved the room and the hotel but I don’t think I would stay there again due to the crowd at the entrance. I am not sure how much of this the hotel can control but it still not a pleasant experience.
We only have good things to say about this hotel! I know it's Covid and all, but we're kind of getting used to how hotels are run nowadays. First of all, the location is perfect. It's close to the Magnificent Mile, Lake front trail, River Walk, etc. We parked using an app and chose to use The Streeter Garage on Ohio street. It was just a couple minutes of a walk. We chose this garage because it was the cheapest covered garage near by. Overall the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The pool was closed which was a disappointment to our son, but most pools are in Chicago at this moment. You do have to reserve a spot to use the workout facilities, but we did not find this to be a problem. I'm a runner and prefer to run outside, but we lacked the proper clothing for the chilly morning. However, I found the treadmill to be very nice. And the stunning views made up for running indoors! As for the room itself, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was surprisingly big, and the bathroom was quite modern with a nice shower head. Overall we felt quite blessed to have found this gem of a hotel. We will definitely be back in the future!
the hotel is located next to Monroe subway station and walking distance from millennium park. Union station is 20 minutes walk. Perfect location. The lobby is really beautiful, high ceiling and vintage decoration. The rooms are big although quite empty of furniture. It all feels quite vintage although comfortable.
The hotel is in a good location, right next to the Millennium Park. The surrounding environment is very modern. Walk to major attractions such as Navy Pier, Cloud Gate, City Building Cruise Terminal, Magnificent Mile, Art Museum, etc. within a kilometer or so. The size of the room is right, the Columbus restaurant downstairs and the Cantonese restaurant opposite are very good, there is a supermarket across the road. Driving is not recommended, parking costs 75 knives a day. There is no free wifi in the room, it is necessary to go to the front desk to negotiate.
The location is very good, close to Michigan Avenue, close to the whole food market, three meals a day can be solved, and there are many types and prices are good. It is very convenient to go to the museum area by bus, but it is a pity that time is limited. I haven't come to see the Museum of Art and History, and I haven't gone shopping. Highly recommend Natural Museum and Art Gallery, great! The hotel does not provide slippers and dental appliances, we are used to using our own. Everything else was great, sanitary clearance, bed was comfortable, air conditioning noise needs to get used to it.
Spending in Chicago in February 2020,
[Line] The hotel is located in the center of the city center, in the prime location of S Michigan ave, directly facing Grant Park and directly facing Lake Michigan, the transportation is extremely convenient. Harrison Station (Red Line) subway is nearby.
Exit the hotel's main entrance, turn left (go north) (walk or take the subway), cross the river, it is a magnificent mile Magnificent Mile
[Living] Hilton Chicago is a long-established, luxurious and individual hotel. Once you enter the revolving door and walk left, you can see the bronze statue of the hotel group founder and the founding philosophy. The Lobby, the second floor, and the eighth floor are all public spaces.
I live in a lake view room. The view is fine and exquisite. The interior layout of the room is square. The sound insulation between the room and the next room is barely good. Anyway, everyone knows that you should not laugh and shout at the hotel.
[Eat] Exit the hotel's main entrance, turn right (go south) two blocks, and have Yolk brunch
From 6:00 to 15:00, the crowds of people lining up to eat are heard.
Regarding eating, I don't need to repeat it here. Everyone is a travel expert.
[Education] Various museums, symphony concert halls, and libraries are all nearby. Even if your stay is short, at least go out the door and turn left (go north), buy a ticket and enter the Art Institute of Chicago once
[Le] The hotel is located in the Loop area of the city center. You can walk around the Chicago Futures Exchange building and take photos.
Just a few steps to Willis Tower, you can go up to the 103rd floor and stand at Sky Deck to feel the glass window protruding from the wall of the building. The foot is completely transparent. (Tempered glass, steel frame support).
Chicago is a famous wind city, and the power of high winds can be felt more at high altitude.
To sum it up, choose Hilton Chicago and you won't regret it or be bored.
Just one block away from Michigan Avenue. When you walk to Michigan Avenue, you can cross the bridge and reach Millennium Park in about 20 minutes. It doesn't take 10 minutes to reach the water tower on the other side. Shopping is also very convenient, let alone eat. There is a delicious western-style light meal restaurant downstairs. Pizza and pasta are very delicious. There is a trader joe's (organic supermarket) next to it. Fruit and fresh food Quite a lot
On the day of check-in, the deposit was actually deducted for 1075 US dollars. Fortunately, the bank only knows the amount because of the large amount of contact. Then I consulted the front desk staff and said that I received the wrong deposit of $200. I did not apologize and said that I canceled the certificate. The paper certificate has not been used until now. The $1,075 is still in the accounts. I don’t know when I can cancel it.
Convenient transportation and good service
This room can see the Ferris wheel, maybe I will set the lake view room, she also helped us upgrade the super large window to see the Ferris wheel, the front desk staff is very nice, if you go to Chicago to play the hotel you must live, live a lot After a while, W Hotel is still of good quality!
