      Upgraded room as wanted bigger bed. The room was amazing lovely decor and amazing jacuzzi bath. Bathroom was bigger than my bedroom at home. Ate in both nights and whilst food was good as was service the hotel had a large elderly party at venue so restaurant was not available and had to eat in conservatory which was okay. However nibbles was not available and 2 of 3 white wines they were out due to ‘ large party’ we were told. Also after booking in for 8.30 breakfast was told that due to large party could only accommodate us at 8 or 9 !! They then struggled to find a table for us both mornings and we were told to go upstairs and come down to get food from buffet. I said that wasn’t acceptable ay husband recently had knee replacement. Just feel that they were very focused on large party to the detriment of other guests. Overall a great hotel though.

      I can't recommend The Relish enough! I booked the Orchid room as a surprise for my (now) fiancee! The room is truly breathtaking and was such a special place to stay. If that wasn't enough Laura kindly arranged for our bed to be decorated with rose petals, free of charge. The bathroom is enormous with a spectacular shower and bath, plus the gorgeous White Company products left us smelling amazing for our whole trip. There is a huge range of breakfast items - and all of a really high quality. I can't understand the negative reviews, Laura could not do enough for her guests and made our stay really special - we will certainly be back!

      Stayed here for Christmas so not a brief stay yes, the hotel us dated but the staff are so friendly & helpful and no issues with the food including breakfast & a huge Christmas Dinner. Remember, the staff don't own the hotel they run it with what they have and do their best to make your stay a good one. If you have an issue with ANYTHING talk to the staff don't leave & complain afterwards! We had a couple of issues, spoke to the staff and it was sorted quickly & with alot of apologies. The hotel is what it says, budget. If the owners put more into it then it could be fantastic so blame them not the staff. We are staying again during May & looking forward to seeing the staff again & seeing those amazing views! Don't right the place off but don't expect The Ritz either! Thanks Grand Burstin staff, you made our Christmas really great & look forward to seeing you all again. Complainers, aim your complaints at the owners of the Britannia group not the poor staff!
