While these apartments are in an exquisite Stile Liberty (Art Nouveau) building, the interiors are not nearly as elegant or harmonious; everything is perfectly functional but a bit more attention to design could take it up a notch or two. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, but a bit dark with inadequate lighting. We had difficulty getting the Sky TV to work, but eventually (on our second try) a staff member figured it out and also showed us how to change the option to "original language" so we could watch movies in English - which was a treat. It was warm and humid the first night we were there, but since the HVAC system had been switched over to heating no air conditioning was available so we had to leave the windows open, which made it a bit noisy (when they were closed, however, it was quiet - very good acoustic windows). Pillows were a bit hard and uncomfortable. Since the apartment complex is managed by a hotel around the corner and since both buildings are in a pedestrian only complex, it is important to pay attention to the directions on their website - and it took both of us since one of us stayed with the car (and then park it) while the other went to get a porter to help with the bags. Breakfast was at the hotel - and seating was very limited the first day with staff doing their best to reset tables as people cleared out. Choices were limited and coffee very weak. One thing that concerned us throughout was the the door to the street was never fully closed. While we never felt unsafe, it would seem that in a building with no staff in the lobby they would want to ensure the door closes and locks whenever someone enters or leaves the building. A better closing device - or simply telling those using the apartment to ensure the door is locked behind them - could easily solve this problem. Overall, we thought this was an OK value for a good space in a good location. It wouldn't take much to make this a great value, but it would take someone with a better design sense.

Great Hotel, delicious breakfast served either inside or outdoor in the middle of a pedestrian-only street filled with shops, but not too busy. During these times of coronavirus the breakfast comes served in a tray and brought to your table by one of the waiters (all were super nice by the way), but you can ask for more if you wish. Honestly it was quite a large amount of food: Ham, bacon, eggs, bread, sausage, würstel, yogurt, cake, cornflakes, Nutella, fruit and much more. They’ll also bring you coffee/cappuccino/juice/water, whatever you want. The staff is super nice and friendly. Everyone did their best to make my stay great, and they succeeded. Location: convenient at its utmost, <5 mins walking from the sea and from Piazza Unità d’Italia and 5 mins away from another road full of bars and restaurants. Lots of great places to eat nearby (haven’t tried the Hotel’s restaurant, but the Caffè Continentale (where breakfast is served) is cozy and great. The Cafe, the Hotel and the Restaurant have the same name and are in the same building. There are many bus stops nearby (2-8 mins walking). Rooms: we got a twin double, which was great for us in terms of space, but some might find the dimensions just “okay”: I’ve happened to stay in larger rooms in other cities, but for me it really was of a good size. The bathroom is quite big with shower/bathtub for a good bath after a day of walking. Park: I parked my car at Park San Giusto (5 mins walking), it’s 15€/day (10% discount available if you look on the park website) but it’s big, with 3 floors reserved for private parkings and 2 floors for “public” parking. Unfortunately you cannot book a place, but it’s really large, so you shouldn’t have any problem finding a space. There is also not covered parking in many streets in Trieste, also along the coast. In that case, I’d recommend downloading the app Easy Park, which enables users to control their parking time and price from the app and pay just for the time you actually have your car parked.

The Modernist Hotel is right in the heart of Trieste, merely minutes away from all the sights and the seafront. The design is super cool and modern including great quotes on the ceiling of the rooms. The bar is open until 10pm and serves really good cocktails at super reasonable prices. Due to the COVID pandemic there is currently no breakfast buffet but the serve to your table tray is more than sumptuous with salmon croissant and fresh scrambled eggs amongst others. Fantastic cappuccino.

Travelled with kids and decided for a Saturday night sleepover in Trieste coming from Slovenia and heading towards Istria in Croatia. Booked on the road on hotel website as it was best value (love that practice...) and arrived around 7 pm. Beautiful restaurated old building which i think was an old insurance company building. Maybe the only element to improve I would state is that it would be good to add to the booking confirmation a clear guide how to come by car to pack out in front of hotel as this can be quite confusing to find based on navigation. The hotel is in a limited traffic zone so one should anyway park away, best to try on the seaside a couple of hundred meters away but you need some luck - we had. The hotel is very close to pedestrian areas, with great shops, cafes, restaurants. Clean, functional rooms, very nice bathroom, comfortable beds, good amenities like illy coffee machine and biscuit on arrival. I did not find anywhere in room info if drinks in minibar are free or againts payment (probably free as there is a small selection) and when I tried to call to ask for it, no one responded, maybe it was a busy time. Breakfast is OK, not great but you find all what is needed, best id you ask coffee from waiters instead of opting for machine. Extra cost of breakfast is reasonable, so one should evaluate quality and value in that light. We did not try the restaurant for dinner as menu did not really fit kid’s taste but sounds good fine-dining food based on choice on the menu. All in all a pleasant experience.

We liked this place a lot. The pedestrian street was quiet. The room was small, but well equipped. We liked the set-up, which we are beginning to see more often; you get a code to open the door and the staff is there when you need them--early in the morning for breakfast and checkout, but otherwise not hanging around watching your every move, although the related travel agency across the hall is open business hours. The breakfast was nice, with excellent croissants and boiled eggs, plus cheeses, yogurt, fruit, coffee. The coffee from the machine was not the best we had on this trip but not the worst either. Gabrielle is helpful and very organized, and her staff are all fluent English speakers too, with good restaurant suggestions. The entrance seems dark and gloomy until you figure out where the light is--on the left.

The hotel has an excellent location in Central Trieste, near to shops and in walking distance from the bus and train stations. The rooms were clean, if rather small. There were a wide variety of bread, pastries etc. for breakfast in a pleasant dining room. Stefano was very accommodating and the staff were very helpful.

Room was fine though the private bathroom being external to the room was not specified in the booking. And the key to bathroom was difficult to get into the lock. But hands down the worst customer service I’ve experienced. Receptionist when we arrived was completely disinterested and unfriendly. Not a word about the city itself. When we came back, the staircase was in darkness and door appeared to be closed, until a different receptionist heard us trying to get in with key and opened it. We had to catch a bus at 9.30am the next morning so planned to pay and leave at 8.30am. There was no one at reception, we waited for five mins thinking they’d be back from somewhere but it was clear there was no one on duty. We left the key on desk and put the room charge plus city tax inside a note and left it behind the keyboard. It was €13. We were conscious that we shouldn’t leave without paying. A couple of days later, I saw I was charged for the room on my ccard which I’d used for the booking. So I paid twice through no fault of my own. Unsurprisingly, Smart Room ignored my email message and only responded when Booking.com contacted them on my behalf. They said they never got the money...which I don’t believe. Even if someone had taken it, it’s their fault for not having someone on reception in the morning. Terrible customer service when we were staying there and afterwards. Stay away.

If you plan on arriving (or checking out) any time other than about 8-10 am, you have to make avance arrangements at this tiny boutique hotel with only 9 rooms on three floors ,upstairs over a restaurant. Two blocks off the waterfront, immediately next to the Bourse Piazza it is very centrally located for shopping for historical sightseeing for excellent restaurants and seeing the core of Trieste. What that means is, while they've done a great job with soundproofing the windows with triple glazing, if you are interested in a very quiet room especially during any kind of event, such as Barcolana week, then you will be very unhappy. Music may stop between 2 and 3 but starting about five or six then the tables and chairs get set up for morning coffee and restaurant openings so there's not a lot of quiet time and there's no real back side to have a room on. If you're on the first floor of rooms above the street you have the additional problem of the restaurant kitchen being directly below you. so ask for one of the upper two floors. The rooms are newly refurbished with modern woods, fairly sparse, but very very functional.

Hotels Near Enoteca Wine Bar L'Etrusco In Trieste Review

A lovely chic hotel located just outside the city centre of Trieste which is easily accessible by walking 45min, driving in 20min or getting the bus (bus stop a couple of minutes way) in 25min. The hotel looks across the Adriatic sea towards Trieste and Slovenia to the left and on the right, you have the beautiful Castle Miramare! The hotel itself is cosy with only 32 rooms and in the rooms they are minimalistic and compact which didn't bother me (wife and 5 yrs old), as it offered a king bed, minibar, lovely full marbled bathroom and lovely balcony to sit down and people watch. It has a lovely little bar area with a breakfast bar which becomes a dinning room in the evening for dinner. Great location and great value if you want something away from the hustle and bustle of Trieste. I would recommend!

We stayed here for a long weekend as some friends were competing in an endurance rally around the Adriatic. If you don’t book this hotel for your stay in Trieste you will disappointed. The staff, the decor the whole experience staying here was amazing. We knew that we were in a separate building to the main hotel but this was not a problem. We were greeted by the gentleman on reception with a beer and a wine and shown on a map where to visited and how to get there. The room was as the whole hotel was exceptionally presented and there was nothing missing we would wanted or needed. The shower next to the bed was an unusual but fun feature. Unfortunately my wallet went missing at a restaurant on our first night but the hotel offered to contact the restaurant for me and assured me in finding the police station to report it. The location was perfect for all the centre of the city, easy walking distance to the centre of town and about 5mins from the station. As said before don’t hesitate to book here for your stay in Trieste.

We stayed there for only one night. It is a room in an apartment with shared bathroom. It is very clean and tidy, the owner was very kind and helpful. The only thing that I was not happy with was our neighbours from the othwr room who were making a lots of noise in the night when we wanted to sleep. The location is not really in the city center, but it was ok. Oh yeah, one more thing... I would suggest to the owner to replace the minibar because it was very noisy machine :)

I came to know about this hotel thanks to some friends of mine who stayed here in October and were super satisfied. And I have to admit, they were totally right and suggested me very well. My boyfriend and I couldn’t have enjoyed Trieste at its maximum without a nice rest in this hotel’s room. The furniture is amazing and modern, and so are the decorations. The paintings look like Picasso’s ones, and being myself an art lover, I really loved them! It's fully modernized and new, it radiates energy from everywhere and it’s also because of the young and active staff. The staff at the reception was really friendly, helpful and answered very clearly to all the questions we had, both at the time of booking and at check-in, we were suggested a lot of cool places to visit and to go eat. The staff at the bar and restaurant was also very diligent and friendly, they served us delicious food, and the breakfast was yummy as well! Also, everything was clean and was being cleaned constantly. If you want to visit Trieste at its full, come here! With a nice sleep, an energizing breakfast and a super central location, you’ll be living the city 100%! Ciao e grazie Hotel Solun da me e mio fidanzato!

We stayed for two days in this hostel. It is in an old building, 3rd floor without an elevator, so good for muscle building. The hostel is a smaller one with central baths and kitchen in which breakfast is served. The people there are friendly and keep the hostel clean. So that's is good. The breakfast is basic, so some fruits, cornflakes, yogurt, toast and jam. And, of course, coffee. The rooms are big and as expected with high ceiling. So what's the downside? The bath facility even so clean is one issue. First at least one guest sets each day one of the baths under water and the cabins are so small that everyone above 6 feets should not be claustrophobic. And the really annoying think is that there is a glass container down at the street. It sound like that between 1 and 3 am the nearby restaurants throws their empty bottles in and then calls to get the container emptied. So in middle of the night there is a lot of noise on the street. So the summary. Except the noise it's ok since it is really good located.

The location is very good, not far from the Piazza dell’Unita d’Italia, the Canale Grande, harbor. With luck there is possibility to park a car in the front of the apartment. Otherwise there was always some parking place a little bit away, but quite close to the apartement. In the apartment is a washing machine which is very important if the trip is longer than 2-3 days. The bathroom was pleasently warm. It was comfortable to step out from the shower. The bed linen were clean and comfortable. Personally I liked that there were shower caps and shower gel was good scented. The accomodation suggested pizza restaurant was very good and one of its resaurants was close to the apartment. If to be a little bit critical then the sofa-bed in the living room is not for tall and big person as it doesn’t open to bed. Secondly, the working air conditioner was too loud, but without it the room became too hot although the sun didn’t shine in. And the water in the shower was at first very cold for some minutes after what it became too hot, so it had to adjust the shower hot and cold handle quite a long.

For us it was a transit night, just in our way to Lago di Garda. We did not used the kitchen, we went out for dinner and eat a great pizza at Fratelli Da Bufala. The bed was large and the the hitting system was working properly. The hot water was a isaster, after my husband had a shower me and my daughter wait an hour hoping that water will warm up, but we made it with cold water at the end. It was hard to go to the terrace of the apartment, with access from the bathroom, as the door was blocked by the shower cabin. The view over the city and the port from terrace of our room (8th floor) is fantastic. Trieste is a splendid city with a lot of wonderful city sites. The position of the residence is very good close to the downtown and port. You can have a pleasant walk in surroundings. We book it for the free parking place, but when we arrived it was a question mark ... , we lost 1h to find a parking place, not sure ... in front of the hotel. For 1 night and no need of kitchen was ok, but pretty expensive for just bed and no breakfast (90 € with taxes).

Trieste was initially just a convenient stopping-off place on an Italy / Croatia trip starting in Verona and ending in Split (as it had been for us ten years ago). But this time we discovered the city properly - a great place for a three or four night stay - and found a room at Trieste 411, two floors of stylish apartments close to Via Giusuè Carducci (the main drag in the city centre), 3 minutes from Gelateria Zampolli (a terrific ice cream den) and 10 minutes walk from the train and bus stations. The room was spacious, cool and modern, providing a splendid retreat in the heat of the day and a good quiet night’s sleep. All the staff are very personable, friendly and helpful. We will have no hesitation in returning to this terrific city and to Trieste 411. Highly recommended on all counts.

We stayed in the annex part of the Hotel Duchi d'Aosta and it was perfect for what we needed. It is located very close to the waterfront and the beautiful Piazza Unita d'Italia. From here, you can walk to local attractions, the many bars and restaurants nearby, and can easily get a bus up the coast, or a ferry over to Muggia. The room itself was great. A very comfortable firm bed, and a space to hang clothes. We also had a sofa to relax on, and could see the sea from our window, which was lovely. The bathroom was well appointed (though the fixed showerhead was a little too low for my 6 foot 2 partner). I really liked the storage drawer, as we could unpack all of our toiletries into it, but they didn't take up all the surfaces in the room (like most other hotels). Breakfast was pretty good (served in Harry's Bistro) in the main hotel. The breakfast staff were chirpy and welcoming and there was a wide range of food on offer.

My wife and I and our two boys (6yo and nearly 4yo) stayed at Ritters mid September. Excellent location in Trieste, the perfect spot. We had Apartment 11, on the top floor which was an attic style room, partly low ceilings, there were 2 rooms one included a fold out couch with a tv, small kids play area, storage and the master a king bed with a single as well. Very clean, neat rooms with up to date furniture. The shower was exceptionally small and we at least hit our heads on the low part of the beams about 10 times, also air con was slightly noisy, apart from this we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to fellow travellers. The housekeeping was excellent and the service from staff was on point. There is a laundry mat about 30meters from Ritters which was very handy, clothes dried very well in our apartment. We would easily stay here again.
