I cannot think of a better location! No car needed, the North end is just amazing. The Battery Wharf is one of my favorite hotels. Great gym included. We held a conference with 40 plus attendees. It was a huge success thanks to the amazingly attentive staff that over delivered on everything that they promised. On behalf of the Coast Guard, I would like to thank Melanie Gioquindo and Susan Rueckel for their generosity and hospitality during our visit. Without their time, effort, and hard work, our meetings at the Battery Wharf would not have been the tremendous success it was. Melanie has the most amazing personality and a wonderful approach. She went out of her way to make sure everyone in our group was taken care of. I have always been pleased with the service I receive at you’re the Battery Wharf. However, the three people at the reception counter Bhakti, Mike and Justin professionalism and ability to get things done quickly exceeded my expectations. The three of them went out of their way to greet people as they were coming and going. In my many years of organizing and attending meetings, their attitude and professionalism stands out.

I would love to have nothing bad to say..but the staff is extremely rude..when I spoke with them they made me feel like I was annoying or disturbing them. Also I reserved to be able to check in from midnight to 6am and they wouldn't allow me check in till noon..(and they explained that I shld have to pay an early check in, but they weren't going to) I felt like they were pretending to give me a deal when in reality I've checked in a 12 or earlier there before and i never was charged. Also a 3pm check out and they were going to waive h That $50 fee but... This morning I received a VERY UNPROFESSIONAL CALL from the front desk. Her- The woman said and I QUOTE " um hello, umm..who are you? How did you get on that room? And alot more umms. She was super confused and very nasty. She stated she was going to charge me for another day because it was now 3pm.. Me- I told her, no ma'am I spoke with someone last night and we made this arrangement. Her- who did you speak with Me-i dont know who checked me in Her- yea well if you not out in the next 10 min. I will be charging you if you go over 10 min. Me-Ok (I was totally confused by her confusion) and said, ok give me a few mins. Her- click..she just hung up on me because apparently she was done with what she had to say. When I checked out they 3 at the front desk were also unprofessional. The worst one was the lady who actually checked me out..her demeanor was exactly how explained, I was bothering her. She also picked the phone and called someone else in the building and was speaking to someone in Spanish about me and little does she know I'm Irish\Mexican and could understand her talking..she was speaking about me and she. Stated I should pay the late fee of $50..to who ever she was talking to. She was a so unprofessional. Then this morning at breakfast the food was cold and several drinks were not available. Also they put the cereal out but didn't have milk. Other then that the food was decent and the spread was great. Our room was nice but it smelled of cigarette smoke. Other then that. I would stay again though only because it is the most convenient one ..location location location

Woke up to no hot water. I waited a half an hour still no hot water. Tried the sink as well as the shower to make sure that I wasn’t doing something wrong although I had taken a Hot shower the previous night. The engineer showed up and confirmed after using a Thermonomer that the water was just over 80° all he could say was that the other guests must’ve used up all the hot water. I would never expect this from a five-star hotel, out of the hundreds of stays in hotels, mostly Sheraton and Marriott I've never and counted a hotel with no hot water. All he did was shrug your shoulders. I decided to take a cold shower just to rinse off and open the curtain to find a tobacco spit stain splattered AKA "lougee" in the fabric at the top of the curtain. I caught the engineer as he was walking away from the room and had him confirm this & took a pic. Once again shrugged his shoulders and said he’d notify housekeeping. I took my cold shower so I could just move on with my morning by ordering breakfast using the Marriott app as there are no longer menus in the room. The app wouldn’t accept my breakfast order. It was 10 AM I could select other things from the lunch or dinner menu but the breakfast menu items were all unselectable on the Marriot app. I called in my breakfast and was told that the online ordering system had a problem & needed to be restarted, ok. When breakfast arrives I turned on the TV to catch the weather and found that it kept freezing. Given that the sequence of events all that happened within the same hour left me in disbelief. When I arrive to the hotel I had trouble finding reception because the escalator was barricaded off with no sign giving direction as to how to get up to reception or if it was even at the top of the escalator. After roaming around hoping to bump into someone that could tell me where reception was I jumped in the elevator and stopped at the next level assuming it was there. I would necessarily complain about the escalator but the fact that I had all the other problems further irked me. An unfortunate chain of events or just a poorly maintained hotel? My feeling is the latter. All of these incidents indicate that this is a poorly run, poorly maintained hotel that is complacent of it's condition. When I checked out at the front desk simply gave my room number & stating I was checking out. The front desk person's only replied “your all set”, didn’t ask me about my stay, or offer to print out my bill or review charges, only those cold words. Considering I only other time I spoke to her was when I called about the hot water I did say anything to be treated so coldly. I then informer her of my terrible stay, showed her pictures of the frozen TV screen and the spit stains in the curtain and she that housekeeping had been notified. This really upset me, no hospitality, no apology. all of this for $350 a night. I’m a gold Marriott guest & have stayed in hundreds of hotels and I’ve never had such a poor experience. She was

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Vacation Club Pulse at Custom House in Boston. The location is perfect to walk to historic sites including Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Old State House and more. It is also an easy walk to the North End and wonderful Italian restaurants. Check in was easy, associates were very welcoming and they quickly accommodated our request to have no steps in our suite (some suites have an upstairs bedroom loft). The lobby has been left in an original historic state but nicely appointed for a hotel. All associates for the hotel were friendly and helpful. Our suite was on the 8th floor. There were only a handful of suites on our floor and most floors as I understand. We entered into a beautifully appointed living area with living room, dining area (seating for 4) and kitchenette that included a microwave, fridge/freezer and kitchen items - glasses, plates, etc. There was a large TV and comfortable seating in this area - the couch is a sofa bed (we did not use as such.) The bedroom was large and comfortable, again with a TV. The bed and bedding were so comfortable. The bathroom had doors to the living and bedroom areas and included many towels and luxury hair and body products. Lighting was plentiful throughout the suite. The suite was spotless and perfect in every way. The furniture was not worn, room-darkening shade worked perfectly, carpet seemed new and bathroom fixtures were spotless and beautiful. Wifi was fast and free. We were relatively near the elevators and yet heard no noise while we were in the bedroom. Views were spectacular! We went up to the observation deck on the 26th floor both during the day and night and enjoyed the 360 degree views. There are many activities planned throughout the month - some free, including tours of the building and some for a small fee, including a tour of the North End restaurants that have food tastings. We were sorry not to have been able to participate in them due to our schedule. One thing would make this stay better - include the Continental Breakfast instead of charging a la carte. For the cost of the stay here, it really should be included or, at the very least, have one small fee that would include anything on the menu.

This Indigo should have just been renovated last year, and Apple's own map shows Holiday Choice. I have stayed a lot at Intercontinental / Crown / Holiday / Smart Choice. This is my first time staying at Indigo. Some places around are under maintenance and a little messy, but there are many restaurants and supermarkets. Get a staple drink for breakfast, a small portion and a bad attitude. There is no garden around this hotel. Why is it called Garden? Because next to TD Garden, which is also the home field of basketball and ice hockey teams, concerts are also held, the price changes a lot, there are often no rooms when there are activities, and it is noisy after leaving at night. It is also next to the North Railway Station and the subway station, but to go to New York from South Station. There is a parking lot and valet parking at the entrance of the hotel. Unfortunately, when I checked in, it was 5 ° C outside, and I changed to the fourth room to heat up. When your room has a small air conditioner as shown in Figure 4, the large air conditioner is likely to be bad, and the small air conditioner may also be bad, much colder than the hallway. The front desk will let people repair it. (Fake decoration) If it is not repaired, it will help you to change. The attitude is good, but I suspect that they already know which rooms have bad air conditioning. The cleaning staff speaks Spanish, not English at all, and requires software translation. In short, you don't need to live here if you don't want to watch the game nearby.

Location of the hotel couldn’t be beat! It was within walking distance to almost every highlight of Boston. Typically we pick a place to stay with free breakfast but there weren’t many to choose from for the location we wanted. Our room didn’t have a view but that’s to be expected in a downtown area. Also would’ve been nice to have a hot tub or something to sit in at the end of the night. Only random complaint I have was actually the size of the bathroom. This might be a weird thing to complain about but I think because the bathroom was so large and didn’t seem to be heated well and when I did try to take a bath (yes I bathe in hotel bathtubs) it got cold very quickly.  I was disappointed they don’t have all ADA accommodations. The captioning didn’t work for half of the television shows, there were no flashing lights or doorbell for my husband who is deaf. I understand the building is old but it seemed like some of those things probably could be added. We didn’t interact with the staff much. We kept our privacy door hanger at the whole time so I can’t anything about housekeeping except the room was clean when we arrived. Overall the stay was good for the cost. And we would definitely pick this hotel again simply for the location.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Back Bay and 10 minutes to Central Park. It takes less than half an hour to walk to the Charles River to cross the bridge and to MIT on the opposite bank of Cambridge, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk to Chinatown. Half an hour walk to the Museum of Fine Arts, Northeastern University, Quincy Market is also half an hour away. Anyway, you can walk anywhere you choose to live here. The downstairs of the hotel is a good western food. When you go out, turn right, walk a little and then turn left. There are very good pizza restaurants and many very good western restaurants. Diagonally opposite the hotel entrance is 7-11. I stayed once 5 years ago and I missed this location. This time I was renovated and the hardware and software have been greatly improved, especially the public bathroom, which is very clean and also Enough, there is no queuing situation again. The room is relatively small, and the location is too good to have too much luxury. In short, it is better than expected. This price should be very cost-effective in the center of Boston.

I’ve been attending an event at this location for the last 3 years and this was by far the worst one yet. The rooms are SMALL… a suite is the size of an average hotel room. The queens were hardly enough for a couple. Their run rooms are literal closets. It is very clean, staff was great about replenishing towels and providing extra within a reasonable time. However, I was a little taken back when management refused to accommodate the event and often shoved us out of the way to prioritize 2-3 pilots coming in from the local airport. We are a 2,500+ person event and staff seemed to go out of their way to make things extra difficult. Elevator lines were ridiculous and when we tried to use the stairs, one of the managers lied and said they didn’t have any. Luckily we found them ourselves and just proceeded to use them as necessary. I was taken back by the bell hops who literally shoved their hand in your face demanding money before you could even take your bags off the cart… certainly made me not want to tip them at all especially after watching them man handle our luggage and throw it around. When it was time to leave, one member openly groaned in annoyance when we had requested our bags be taken to valet. Nobody wanted to do their job without extra money being tossed at them. Finally we got our luggage to valet and before I could even get my wallet out one member scoffed in disgust and tossed the cart at us… certainly not going to tip after that tantrum. 3 years ago this was my favorite location but you can actively see the decline in service and respect toward patrons. The location is ok at best. It’s in walking distance to great restaurants and such, however it’s impossible to park and unload on the main busy street. I’m glad we have a new hotel for next year…

We booked the Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall in Boston for 2 nights. I will say that this location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to and it wasn't in a sketchy area. The hotel offers valet parking but there are also many options for parking around the area. Lots of places to grab food and close to so many sites, it was easy to get places by foot. We checked into the hotel later in the day and I was pleased to see that the people working at the front desk were wearing their masks. The rooms don't have refrigerators but you can request that one be sent up to your room. Since I knew that we were planning on picking up food to bring home, I made sure to ask for one. When we got up to the room, I saw that it was a lot smaller than I had thought. While the room itself was clean, we found a couple of hairs in the shower which was pretty gross. When the refrigerator was dropped off, the person who brought it up had to plug it in. We were all wearing our masks so you would think that they would put theirs on out of courtesy but they did not. I also think that the TV was a bit outdated...usually hotels offer streaming services (to log into) but this TV offered only a select amount of channels on cable. Also note that there is no door separating the shower and the rest of the room (for privacy). I also found that there is very little room to sit besides the bed because the room was so small. The next morning, we noticed that there was some type of liquid in the elevator and when we came back later in the day, it was still not cleaned. The bar and restaurant was also closed at the time of our trip. While there are definitely setbacks to this hotel, the location is really it's strong point. If you could get over small, outdated rooms and would rather focus on location, then I'd say this is a good hotel for you. However, if you plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel, there may be others with more space to do so!

My wife and I were visiting family on the East Coast and decided to spend some time in Boston. The Newbury Guest House came highly recommended so we decided to stay there. Owner Dave was extremely helpful before and during our trip. The rooms were very clean, well appointed, and the location was convenient to points beyond the Back Bay. We stayed for 3 nights and Dave and his staff were very attentive, warm, and gracious. Whether on holiday or for business travel, I will definitely be back. Best small hotel experience I’ve had in many years.

We have become regulars at the Lenox when we are in town visiting our daughter and her family. The level of customer experience is consistent and excellent. We are well-treated from the valet and bell staff, to the front desk, to the other support services. The gracious staff contributes to a warm and intimate experience that is unique among the hotels in the area where we have stayed. Rooms are large and clean; bathrooms are modern. Wonderful location in Back Bay near shopping, good restaurants, the wonderful Public Library across the street, and Copley Square.

Needed a quiet hotel near Historic area for a quick weekend trip to Boston. Had not heard of Club Quarters, but the reviews and location sounded great and they proved correct. The customer service of the lobby staff is excellent, especially from Tristine, who was right on target with her restaurant recommendations and directions to places for quick tours to travelers with not much time. Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was comfy.

My friend and I got a good deal through Priceline as a 3-night package compared to the cost of other hotels. The sheets were crisp and bed firm. We got a view of the airport and the harbor. I like watching the planes come and go (and no noise). We got free water bottles each day. There was a water shuttle to the blue line with MBTA which was called 66. The free hotel shuttle was also very fast. It takes about 30-40 minutes by bus through traffic to get to government center since the blue line was under construction when we went. Didn't appreciate house keeping moving our items around one day. The $20 credit Hyatt offers with destination fee only applies to Dinner unfortunately. This was not clear to us when we ordered breakfast. We ordered pancakes and definitely not worth it. Thick but not fluffy, more on the sour side. I'd say Mexican and Italian were my favorite offsite. Seafood was overpriced.

The Boston Harbor Hotel which envelopes the prime real estate of Rowes Wharf on one side and is open to the city on the other, combines elegance with a scenic and convenient location. It enhances it's historic waterfront with famous ancient Roman architecture with it's 80 foot-tall ornate outdoor archway and rotunda. The hotel is as stunning inside as it is outside thanks to marble arch, framed antique maps, collections of exotic flowers, rich fabrics, coffered ceilings. gorgeous hardwood and tasteful carpets scattered throughout. The property is positioned right on the waterfront (Rowes Wharf) and is only a short walk to many of Boston's well-known sights including Quincey Market, Freedom Trial as well as the New England Aquarium. It is steps away from both Harborwalk and the Rose Kennedy greenway, a scenic path through the heart of the city There are 22 one bedroom suites, 102 superior rooms, 4 large sized individual rooms and a monstrous John Adams Presidential Suite offered as the room inventory for the Boston Harbor. I was delighted with my superior accommodations and spacious layout. The suite employed a liberal mix of burgundy, navy blue and soft yellow along side polished wood furniture with antique lines. Heavy fabrics like tasseled drapes rendered the room a tad heavy. The bed was plush and comfortable with seperate sleeping and sit-in quarters and portrayed the benefit of an entertaining water view, A custom made desk provided ample room as work space and the chamber was accompanied by high-tech appliances. The bathroom flowed with marble, and was outfitted with a rainforest shower and a deep soaking tub. The Rowes Wharf Sea Grill, the excellent on-site restaurant, is delicious and beautiful with an awesome outdoor terrace overlooking the water. It offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner with an outdoor dining option on the wharf in season.Of course, seafood dominates the menu with entrees like Maine lobster, steamed mussels, diver mussels and a bunch of other things that come from the sea. The clubby Rowes Wharf Bar provides a social setting for an after-dinner drink where one can order a variety of inventive cocktails, light bites and bar friendly entrees. The Rowes Wharf Health club & Spa is the Hotel's wellness complex and consists of a full service health club and spa/salon. At the heart of this facility sits a 60 foot heated saltwater lao pool. The fitness area has an excellent selection of modern cardio-and -strength- training-equipment. Fitness studios provide classes for yoga and other exercise endeavours. The adjacent full service spa offers a raft of standard treatments including: massages, facials, scrubs, couples routines and salon offerings including waxing, exfoliation, and pedicure/manicures. Stayed one night 7/8/21 got two rooms for 2 adults and three 18 year old baseball players. TS Elsa was bearing down on the Northeast and the following day’s games were rained out. We chose to stay here because I’m a BonVoy Gold and my wife is a BonVoy Silver member and this was the closest Marriott property to Jamaica Plain where the next day’s games were to be played. We got a King Studio for the boys and my wife and I stayed in the Larger King Studio. Both rooms were great but the Larger King Studio is worth the extra cost for the more spacious feel. Really enjoyed the size of our room. The bathroom was large, bed was comfortable, excellent lighting options, two TVs, and nice kitchen area. There was a basic breakfast down in the lobby in the morning (scrambled eggs, Andouille sausage, chicken sausage, yogurt, toast/bagels, juice dispenser, etc...) Hotel is secure and requires a room keycard to get into the lobby or security buzzes you in and your room key only allows you to only take the elevator to your floor. The only major inconvenience of this hotel was parking. It’s in Roxbury but still within the city of Boston. There is a small gated hotel parking area that we learned after we arrived required a separate reservation ($25/day). The lot was full for the night and with two cars we had to find parking on the street. At 8:00 PM this was not the easiest or most convenient thing to do in the rain. I wish the parking situation was more apparent on the website. I would have gladly reserved parking if I knew it was likely that their tiny lot would most likely be full. The parking situation also caused us to not want to drive to a nearby to a wonderfully reviewed Spanish tapas restaurant (Toro) that we were planning to eat dinner at because we were worried that we would not be able to find parking at the hotel after our meal. This was a major disappointment. We ordered food to be delivered from a burger joint instead and this took over an hour to get to us lukewarm. There are no food options within walking distance of the hotel that I would feel safe walking to at night. No on-site dinner options other than microwave food from the hotel’s lobby snack area. Food options were a disappointment. In short, loved the room but hated the parking and food situation. Staff was professional but not what I would call friendly or particularly helpful regarding our parking or food concerns. It was kind of like ‘sorry but that’s not our fault.’ Next time I would probably stay at a different Residence Inn with better parking options and closer to more abundant dining. The room is great but not worth the additional hassles and laissez faire staff attitude about parking/food. A little more empathy and help (dining suggestions: “order from this place”) would have made me feel like they actually cared about me and my quest to feed three hungry 18 year old boys at 8:00 at night.

Seeing the price, she booked the stay via the My wife was assured that there would be no fee for early check out if my son recovered early. Our first night was uneventful and fine. The second evening we had to move rooms as there was an overpowering sewage odor permiating that 1/2 of our hotel. Our new room had no hot water and bathroom door locked us in. We checked out the following morning. That evening I noticed 8 charges on my credit card from the Comfort Inn I called and spoke to Alicia who assured me that it would be cleared up the following day. Three more charges appeared that night. This maxed out my Credit card as the charges added up to $5000. I called again and spoke to a night manager (Oliver). He tried to correct the problem, apologized, offered us a $100 discount. Oliver Promised there would be no further charges and that he would pass all info on to Mahmoud and homer (general and assistant managers) In the AM I found that I had been refunded my first charge of $1084 but had also been charged $260. I called Mahmoud as discussed. He seemingly knew nothing of the events . I asked if Oliver had e-mailed him. He did not answer and asked what was going on. I proceeded to explain the entire story to him. He seemed to be getting frustrated on the phone and I did as well. I attempted to ask him several times if he had even seen the e-mail from Oliver. He refused to answer and spoke over me. After being talked over several times as Mahmoud began to raise his voice I also got upset and raised my own voice. He repeatedly accused me of being disrespectful. I told him that if he could not answer any questions over the phone I would go down to his hotel and we could discuss it in person. My wife took the phone and Mahmoud began to vent to her and told her that I had raised my voice and he did not have to have such a disrespectful conversation. She tried to discuss the now 13 charges to my credit card but he was not interested. She said thats fine “my husband will come down and resolve this in person” She called back approximately 1 hour later to again attempt to discuss the financial burden choice has put on my family and Mahmoud accused(several times) myself and my wife of threatening him and said that he had called the police. He justified this by stating that when someone threatens him he will do what is necessary. My wife then tried again to work through these 13 charges. She explained that Oliver had told us that this could be resolved today. He said he could do no more. I feel taken advantage of, unheard and disrespected in a time when I needed help the most. I will never stay here or at a Choice hotel again.

Woke up to no hot water. I waited a half an hour still no hot water. Tried the sink as well as the shower to make sure that I wasn’t doing something wrong although I had taken a Hot shower the previous night. The engineer showed up and confirmed after using a Thermonomer that the water was just over 80° all he could say was that the other guests must’ve used up all the hot water. I would never expect this from a five-star hotel, out of the hundreds of stays in hotels, mostly Sheraton and Marriott I've never and counted a hotel with no hot water. All he did was shrug your shoulders. I decided to take a cold shower just to rinse off and open the curtain to find a tobacco spit stain splattered AKA "lougee" in the fabric at the top of the curtain. I caught the engineer as he was walking away from the room and had him confirm this & took a pic. Once again shrugged his shoulders and said he’d notify housekeeping. I took my cold shower so I could just move on with my morning by ordering breakfast using the Marriott app as there are no longer menus in the room. The app wouldn’t accept my breakfast order. It was 10 AM I could select other things from the lunch or dinner menu but the breakfast menu items were all unselectable on the Marriot app. I called in my breakfast and was told that the online ordering system had a problem & needed to be restarted, ok. When breakfast arrives I turned on the TV to catch the weather and found that it kept freezing. Given that the sequence of events all that happened within the same hour left me in disbelief. When I arrive to the hotel I had trouble finding reception because the escalator was barricaded off with no sign giving direction as to how to get up to reception or if it was even at the top of the escalator. After roaming around hoping to bump into someone that could tell me where reception was I jumped in the elevator and stopped at the next level assuming it was there. I would necessarily complain about the escalator but the fact that I had all the other problems further irked me. An unfortunate chain of events or just a poorly maintained hotel? My feeling is the latter. All of these incidents indicate that this is a poorly run, poorly maintained hotel that is complacent of it's condition. When I checked out at the front desk simply gave my room number & stating I was checking out. The front desk person's only replied “your all set”, didn’t ask me about my stay, or offer to print out my bill or review charges, only those cold words. Considering I only other time I spoke to her was when I called about the hot water I did say anything to be treated so coldly. I then informer her of my terrible stay, showed her pictures of the frozen TV screen and the spit stains in the curtain and she that housekeeping had been notified. We booked this hotel for our three night stay in Boston! We chose this hotel because it was slightly cheaper than the hotel the rest of our group was staying at. I try to stay within the Marriott family when I’m able to. We booked a City View Queen room. I know the Moxy chain is known for its small/trendy rooms, but you don’t realize just how tight the room is until you’re in it. For two people who each brought a full suitcase, it felt very crammed. That said, it served its purpose since we were gone most of the day and only returned when it was time to sleep. Check-in was a breeze. The front desk members were kind and helpful. I overlooked the $25 daily resort fee (my mistake). I don’t understand the point of the fee since we were also given a $25/day voucher to use at Bar Moxy. The bar is mediocre at best. Could’ve been an off day, but the bar area was very dirty (sticky tables, wet floors, etc) and staff seemed uninterested in helping customers. All in all, it was an ok experience. One benefit of this hotel is that it’s within walking distance of many restaurants, a dunkin and a CVS. However, if I had to do it again, I would pay the extra money to stay at a different hotel with a larger room.

I stayed in the Classic Corner Park View Suite for my wedding weekend, and we had family and friend staying in other rooms in the hotel. Everyone's experience was incredible. To start, the room was unlike any other. They space, the amenities, and the quality of everything was unparalleled. The view of both Newbury St and the Boston Common was also great. The entire hotel staff (especially Suki Scott, Melissa Kelly, and Alicia at the front desk) went above and beyond to make our suite extra celebratory for our wedding. We so appreciated the small touches. In addition to the incredible experience in the room, the service throughout the hotel was amazing. Concierge and the hotel staff found a way to help with so many last minute wedding plans and truly helped make the weekend go smoothly. From the front desk staff, to housekeeping, and valet, everyone was top notch. Also, the location right in the heart of Boston was a major benefit of this hotel. Walking right across the street to the Boston Common on a beautiful day was a highlight!

This was a nice hostel, with nice facilities that could use some customer service work and a little extra cleaning. I arrived around 8-9pm on 10/02/21; tired from my flight. Security is well set up as you need a key card, or someone needs to "buzz" you in, to get into the bldg. Then a staff member needs to buzz you into the dorm and other common areas. You are provided a key card that gets you into the room after check in. This hostel is located in Boston’s China Town which may be a bit of an adjustment at first, especially when you arrive at night and are unfamiliar with the area. However, once you have had a chance to walk around, you will love it and the food! But as with ANY PLACE, always keep your guard when walking around, especially alone. When I walked around at night, and early morning, there were always others walking around as well so I never felt terribly uncomfortable. Plus the hostel location is also great as it is near other parts of Boston worth visiting (walking-distance). When I arrived, there were (2) two team members that "greeted" me at check-in. However, Ashley I believe her name was, was sadly unkind and made me feel unwelcomed. Even asking simple questions made me feel as if I inconvenienced her, and other staff as well. The only “saving grace” were a few staff that was nice enough to provide me with suggestions on where to eat and where I could find a good place to eat. I wish I would have remembered THEIR names! Unfortunately, the less than pleasant staff’s name is the one that seems to resonate with me most. The hostel has a very chic vibe compared to some other hostels I have stayed at. Less welcoming than some other hostels I have stayed at, but had some VERY nice travelers staying there as well. But that is what I love about hostels, the sense of community with the other travelers. Having such terrible, unwelcoming staff, however, can overshadow that. Fortunately, the one nice staff and the handful of great travelers I met did not overshadow that. I stayed in an all female dorm with (4) four beds. It was very nice with large lockers to fit large bag or backpack. They provide you with linens, a pillow and a towel. GREAT personal cubby hole by your bunk with charging station and lamp; hooks to hang your stuff and a nice view from the window. The only thing it was missing was a privacy curtain. I had to make-shift my own. The bathrooms are shared but segregated to singular toilet with shower and there are PLENTY OF THEM! They have bathmats, paper towels and bodywash/shampoo in each. They also have blow-dryers which is a nice bonus. I didn’t use much of the common areas but they were nice. The kitchen needs some TLC as the current travelers were a little messy and I could never find paper towels and hand soap. Overall, facilities are nice and female dorms are nice. I came here as part of a tour group for the marathon. Following morning after arriving at 10pm the night before - we find there is no hot water. We call to ask and get told the engineer would come - who attended promptly. He said if I put the hot water on in the sink for 20min on full and leave the shower on - you may get hot water….. this bit of magic of course didn’t work. The same issue we called about the following day and was told the same thing and this time the engineer in fact said you should take a shower when there are less people taking a shower….. bizarre. So its a hotel that can’t cope with people taking a shower??? We got back to our hotel after our first night in the evening to find the room hadn’t been cleaned - called reception who was adamant she had spoken and told me when I checked in via her the day before - I explained I never checked in through normal means and infact had my keycard given to me by my marathon tour company who gave me the key at the airport. Also to mention on our first day there was broken glass found in the bathroom. We reported this and despite the cleaner coming on one of the days - this was never picked up. The head of cleaning had actually phoned us to apologise prior to the clean and said he would ensure the glass would be collected - of course it wasn’t. I asked to speak to the manager and was told someone would call the next day. Of course no one did and I had to call. I explained the above issues to her when I called her but she was completely blasé regarding the glass, the cold water from the shower at all times and the lack of cleaning - she said they stopped doing cleaning because of COVID and would only do so on request ….. I said this is ridiculous- as a hotel they don’t clean unless you ask???? Would I ever choose to come here or subject anyone else - no.

I chose this hotel mainly because of transportation and dining convenience. The Chinese stomach is really helpless! Find Chinese restaurants everywhere you go. Hotel facilities are good, from the toilet to the small bar in the room, fully equipped. Small capsule coffee prepared with coffee. But for the Chinese, the taste is a bit heavier and bitter. W's decorative style is avant-garde and stylish, and the decorative paintings of the corridors and rooms have the image of a crow, which I personally don't like very much. Warm service, others are good!

Hotel is basic with a nice sized room with bathroom attached. Friendly staff and a very helpful manager whose knowledge of the area and restaurants/bars etc came in very handy. The hotel is very well situated and we didn't need to catch a train or cab anywhere as everything is within walking distance but trains etc are nearby if needed. 15 mins from the airport on a bus from South station. Only downside was not having the rooms rubbish emptied or clean towels.

I was a guest at Cambria Hotel, from 24-29 March 2022. Once I arrived at the hotel, I was presented to the front desk for check-in, and I met Mr. Daivd McKeon (Assistant General Manager), who is a very kind, elegant, professional person. I was quite happy with his distinguished hospitality. During my stay, I realized that the front desk team, Ms. Janilce, Ms. Klei, and Ms. Gaby, are very helpful and supportive of whatever requests from the customers. I appreciate as well the good service of the housekeeping. The location of this hotel is quite near, either to the city center or the main Boston Convention Center. The price for the hotel is quite reasonable compared to other hotels at the same level. Many thanks to the front desk team of Cambria Hotel and to the housekeepers who made my stay very comfortable.

I have been looking to visit Boston for quite some time but never found an accommodation in my budget; fortunately, I stumbled upon the Oasis Guest House! We stayed in the economy queen room and it was very economical space and cost; the bed was comfortable. If your plan in Boston is to do a lot of touring, then it is the perfect home base. The gentlemen who own and run the guest house are very friendly and helpful. They have created a very cozy and comfortable common area and put out a nice, continental spread for breakfast; we ate it every morning and were more than sated. The location is fantastic! It sits on a quiet street but offers easy access to a lot of attractions. It is a 5-minute walk from Symphony Hall and right by the Berklee College of Music, which offers evening events. It was a 15-minute walk to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Honestly, we also walked between the B&B and Boston Common and the North End and the walks were not bad (and very refreshing after a large meal!). If walking does not appeal to you, though, it is very close to a subway station and it was very easy to get to some of the farther-flung locations. I am looking forward to my return to Boston and the Oasis Guest House! I highly recommend it!

The Langham, a historic hotel in Post Office Square occupies a building whose former life was the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Public spaces are opulently endowed with high ceilings, museum worthy oil paintings, intricate marble floors, rich woods, jewel tones, touches like lobby lamps in dark green akin to the old fashioned bank teller ones of yester-year, select antique banking gear, deep sofas and plush chairs. Situated in the heart of the towering Financial District, the Langham is walking distance to the city's biggest attractions, Think: Faneuil Hall, old State House, the North End, the Seaport and others are all a stone's throw away. The hotel is well endowed with event and function space and as well, displays artistic endeavours depicting the history of the Banking System by adorning the lobby walls and throughout the hotel's public spaces. The real gems of The Langham: however, are the rooms and my top floor retreat included creature comforts like a spacious layout, a heavenly bed and a massive mini-bar for my delight. Crisp blues and whites form the colour palette that inspired a cheerful and calming aura accompanied by a sitting area with comfy chairs for relaxing. Built-in millwork graced the quarters with a decorative table for dining or homework and a wood floor panelled the entryway along with a gracious view of the cityscape. The bath was outfitted in massive white marble complete with heated floor, steam shower and double sink. The property's staff spares no time or effort executing their guest assistance. The Langham's two on-site dining options are hopping establishments. The FED (how appropriate) is a street-level bar that serves elevated pub-fare, raw bar seafood and inventive cocktails. For something special, ask for the 'Vault Sprits' or construct your own seafood tower (as I did) from all the credos and local oysters your heart desires. The cocktails sound groovy and delicious and I frothed at the 'Kool & the Gang' concoction which featured gin, raspberry, lime, ginger and a top tab of aquafaba .....pretty cool...I didn't,t know whether to look at it or drink it....I drank it. The main restaurant, Grana, occupies a spectacular area in the hotel, the former Grand Hall of the Reserve with soaring ceilings, ornate chandeliers and velvet banquettes. The menu is chocked full of American and Italian classics with breakfast items like Panettone French toast, omelettes, Belgian Waffles and fresh baked items. Turning up the food fare a notch for dinner......how about lobster ravioli, beef and pork bolognese, and stew cioppino. I was intrigued by the Spaghetti Pancake brunch item (rock shrimp ragout, toasted garlic, garden herbs)...this was terrific. and of course ...whats a menu without dessert....this one is in the form of cannoli, panna cotta and tiramisu....could be more Italian.
