We stopped here on our way to Colorado. Check in was easy and fast. Breakfast was standard and coffee was good. The room was clean and we lucked out with a first floor. The first floor made loading our ski gear very easy. We left some items in our room and the staff were able to locate them and keep them until we passed by on our way back to Dallas.

I’m fairly easy to please when it comes to hotels, but I have had some negative experiences in the past. This was one of the easiest, non stressful hotel stays I’ve had. After an easy quick check in, I opened the door to my room and it smelt unique. If I had to describe it, it would be a hot cocoa with marshmallow smell. Honestly I was super excited about it. I’ve had rooms that smelt like mold and old carpet. This one smelt delicious. Not sure if it’s the standard here or not but honestly it made my day. The room was clean, no noise issues, the inside was beautiful. The only downside was the construction outside left some parking spots unavailable but I was able to find a spot so no biggie. Overall a great stay with a great price.

Amarillo as a city is not very nice. It’s about the only stop of significance along the I40. It is nothing more then endless hotels, restaurants, shops and gas stations. We have stayed in the Comfort Inn and Suites twice while making the drive to California. This hotel is a very good place to stay. Large rooms. Clean. Well run. Great breakfast choices. It was a pleasure to stay there. Not sure we would be back that way, but if so, we would definitely stay there. Good job property owner, manager and staff.

Driving thru Texas for a Colorado ski trip.we arrived in Amarillo at sundown. slept and left at Sunrise! Paid for the room via Expedia ahead of the trip. At around 4pm on Feb 19 a $250 charge hit our credit card. Oh, they obviously billed us by mistake for two nights , we thought. When we returned from vacation we called the hotel, they stated it was for damages!?!?!? The hotel charged an additional $250 to our credit card claiming we broke /shattered the television in the room. There was no issue with the television when we left the room. Charging us $375 for one night for a mid level hotel is a scam. We will never stay with Marriott again. The manager, Tabitha actually hung up on my husband instead of pushing the issue up to the next level. As travelers for many years, we have stayed in many upper end hotels, lower end hotels, condos, homes, etc., In fact we have stayed at the hotels next to this one. We have never had any issues. We have never experienced this level of customer service. Marriott is supposed to be top of the line? There are many other options to stay in Amarillo - avoid this one.

The hotel is very big and there are quite a lot of people staying during our Thanksgiving holiday. The room is big enough and the basic facilities are new enough, but there is a thin layer of scale on all kinds of glass, which may be related to the water quality. During the covid period, the hotel’s breakfast is to send out a packing box and go for breakfast like a canteen. There are various types of doughnuts, cakes and fruits for cold food, and oatmeal scrambled eggs, sausages and fries for hot food. There are almost no free parking spaces in the hotel. There is a garage across the street for 7 yuan a day. There are many (more than ten) street parking spaces at the door. It is free all day on weekends and evenings on weekdays.

As soon as we entered we should have turned around, but we had pre-paid and were on a schedule. The lobby was messy and the front door broken. Trash present in the beds out front. Front desk was not friendly and gave no directions to room, albeit maybe she had a bad day. We got a room on 5th floor facing I-40, super noisy have earplugs. No coffee maker in the room and we couldn’t get TV to turn on, but didn’t bother reporting it as we had phones. Furniture was in disrepair, walls peeling, chair torn, paint on the TV, and carpet you don’t want to walk barefoot on. I swear the stain on the floor looked like somebody was murdered or committed suicide in the room. We were only there to get some sleep for 8 hours so we did the best we could, but nobody wanted to shower in the morning so we skipped them. The breakfast was a joke, cereal, bananas and juice. Go to IHOP next door.

Rooms are really nice with floor to ceiling windows overlooking downtown. Spent some time watching sunset and sunrise. Front desk was helpful and friendly. Sunday night so we parked on street at no cost. Sunday downtown all restaurants were closed. We did walk about 15 minutes to watch some minor league hockey. Rooms are nice size as well, coffee maker in room. The doors to the lobby are amazing as the building was built in the 1900s. The only slight negative was the lukewarm shower temp.

I have never had worse service at a hotel. TLDR - They refused to let me use my business card that is associated with the Hopper App I used to book the room and told me to either use my personal card or don't stay here. Arrived at the front desk slightly after 10:30 PM on March 31st after 11 hours of driving, just looking to get to my room and sleep. I had booked the room the day before using the Hopper App. The front desk person, Mia, asked me for my credit card. She didn't specify if it was for incidentals, which I assumed, but I asked anyways to make sure. She stated that she was charging the room fee to it. I told her that I already booked the room using my business account credit card and she cut me off and stated that she needed the same credit card that I had used through the Hopper App or the fee would be charged to my personal card. I tried explaining that I only use my business card to book rooms but she rudely rolled her eyes and walked into another room, leaving me standing there for a few minutes. She came back and handed me a phone without even telling me who was on the other line so I ended up talking to a manager woman who told me that it was company policy to use the same card at the time of check in that you used when you booked the room. Now, nowhere in their Info & Policies does it state this so I don't know why this was such a problem but it was clear that I wasn't going to be able to stay there and would need to book another room. Did they apologize and tell me that I could use the WIFI to locate another hotel or in any way act like they didn't have an annoyed attitude? No. Mia and another woman who was now standing behind the desk both loudly made comments about how I should've known this and other things like that while I tried looking up another hotel and make sure my other card wasn't charged for the room already. I have never run into this issue in any other hotel that I stay at, and I travel from coast to coast 3 times a year! I always use an App to book the stay using my business card and then give them my personal credit card for incidentals. ALWAYS! This was really tough because not only was I very tired and ready to rest, I was met with unprofessional and rude service by the 3 people I encountered there. On my way out I told both women behind the desk that I thought that my card was charged and that I wasn't appreciative of the attitude I got. I didn't give them any rude treatment. I was put out for sure, but don't treat people rudely and don't expect to be treated like that either. The last thing I heard as I walked out was "Your card wasn't charged and I think that I know what I'm talking about from working here this long, but have a good night Hun!" She actually called me hun lol, with the most condescending and sarcastic attitude! Wow... Nice guest service by a place that describes themselves as welcoming and hospitable. WILL NEVER STAY AT ANY HOTEL OWNED OR ASSOCIATED WITH RADISSON EVER AGAIN!!! BTW, I we

On Tuesday April 19th me and a friend was supposed to leave home at 1pm to make quick trip to Albuquerque NM, but were delayed by 2 hours. So when we finally hit the road we were only able to drive 5 hours before it got dark and storms raged. We stopped at Baymont Inn & Suites East Amarillo, at 1700 I-40 East. Using priceline secured a room, we were greeted by friendly yet professional staff. Everyone from hotel staff were wonderful. The outside and inside was clean and well lit, the room was spacious and also clean. The bed was big and very comfortable. Before we left the next morning breakfast was hot and fresh and the coffee, well I had several cups. We got to New Mexico took care of business and decided to get back to Amarillo so we only have five hours to drive Thursday morning so we could get rental car back on time . On 4/22/22 at 10pm we stopped again at Baymont hotel, but did not use priceline and still go a great one night rate and even got the same room we just slept in Tuesday night!!. Thank you Baymont it was a pleasure!!! About scheduling with priceline... Try not to use them many variables are not connected between them and the merchant. Priceline does not care about you they just want your money. I deleted priceline app and won't use them again.

This hotel was very disappointing for a Hilton branded hotel. Hilton has put money into the lobby and that is about it. The rooms are very run down and outdated. The wall paper was pulling away in spots and the carpets are stained and torn in several locations. Now to get to our actual stay- we checked in late at 1:30am. We have 3 month old twins- I asked the desk agent for 2 pack n plays or at the very least one for the night. He informed me he had never been asked for one and wasn’t sure exactly where they were but he would do his best to find one. He really did run all over attempting to find one. When he was unable to locate one and was extremely apologetic and offered us extra blankets and pillows so we could make a bed on the floor for the babies. Not ideal but at 2am after traveling we made it work. We went down the breakfast the next morning which was mediocre and I asked the desk agent for a pack n play again. This time they brought me out a box and it was only the mattress. When I told them it wasn’t a complete pack n play and only the mattress I was informed “oh I didn’t realize. You will have to check back later.” We went about our day and went back to the hotel around 3:30 again I inquired about a pack in play- the desk agent was very overwhelmed and completely understaffed. Again she was polite and said she would look for one and if she didn’t find one she would call next door to the homewood suites and borrow one. Again we went out for a hour for dinner. When we came back she called the homewood suites and they did not have a pack n play. At this point it is 18 hours into our stay and I will do not have an appropriate bed for my infants to sleep in. She did offer to bring in a roll away bed- which we used for my older son so he didn’t have to sleep on the floor. The next day I asked again for a pack n play. I was informed that yes they had them but they were all broken. This is completely unacceptable for a Hilton branded hotel to not have appropriate safe bedding for infants. We were there for 3 nights- they had plenty for time to go and purchase a new pack n play. We had to borrow pack n plays from family we were visiting. Two other issues- the pool was closed due to needing a part for maintenance and it had been closed a while. We never got a notification that the pool was closed. We got our kids dressed in swimsuits and down to the pool when we saw a sign saying it was closed. They also advertise a restaurant and that being open- again it was not and there was no notification that it was closed. This entire stay was a disgrace from a Hilton Hotel.

Overall a very good hotel. Holiday inn is the epitome of beauty combined with value. Upon arrival my only complaint was that the lobby was filling up, and that the lady behind the desk was honestly working her butt off trying to catch up within about 5 minutes another gentleman came up and he actually assisted. The gentleman checking Us in was super nice. Lobby as always in every Holiday inn, was beautifully styled. It was a very quick check in. Prior to my arrival I had requested no feather pillows as I am allergic to them, this was granted. I had also requested three pillows extra and this was granted as well. The beds are comfortable as always. Air conditioning and heating worked wonderfully. The room was beautifully styled. We didn't have enough towels and the front desk quickly brought them to us. Not that it was a problem however the bathroom the towel holder in the shower which was awesome because it kept your towels dry, was rusted. Even though it's something minor it really should be addressed because it takes away from the beauty of the room otherwise this was an incredible stay. I would recommend this for anyone who needs a beautifully decorated hotel and a wonderful price.

We got a great price on this room. It was compact but clean (except for the stained carpet everywhere). Very convenient location. We walked one way to a sports bar to watch a college game and the other way to Cracker Barrel. Internet was slow but worked enough to take care of a couple things. I gave it 4 stars because the carpet is pretty bad. Bobby at the desk was friendly and efficient.

I usually do not write reviews. But DIANNE, she works the front desk, was so awesome. She is very professional, friendly, does her best to help the needs of a customer. She is such a pleasure to deal with. I am happy to see her every time I have too go to that hotel. There has been many places in Amarillo that there staff is rude. Housekeeping is ruder. But this single woman is an asset to this establishment. I left with a smile on my face. Simple things like this restore my faith in humanity. I hope anyone staying here has the pleasure of dealing with her. Fantastic job Miss Dianne!!!🌹🌹🌹 U r the greatest!!!! Miss Jennifer darling.

We stay at roughly 50-60 properties in the IHG universe each year (Spire elite), and would put this one in the top 10% of the hotels we have frequented in the last three years. This property is well removed from surrounding highways, and proved very, very quiet. Our king suite was attractively furnished; we always appreciate the IHG beds and pillows, but this one also offered a freezer in the mini-frig, which is of real benefit to those of us who use dry ice to protect perishables on the road. The hotel features an indoor pool and hot tub, which we put to good use. There was the usual HIE breakfast fare. Internet service was slow, especially in prime evening hours. A boost would be much appreciated! We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Amarillo.

The most important qualities of a hotel for me are as follows... 1. comfortable bed 2. clean!! 3. updated ( this must be a new hotel) 4. breakfast and coffee This hotel aced all the important qualities for me. I had stayed at another Marriott in Amarillo previous to my stay at the Fairfield Inn. The other hotel (downtown Marriott) had a sagging mattress that left me in pain the next day. Therefore when I was staying in Amarillo over night again I looked for a new hotel. At the Fairfield Inn I woke up pain free due to the comfortable mattress. This is the hotel I will now use when staying overnight in Amarillo. The hotel was very clean and it was updated. Due to covid the breakfast was not a hot breakfast...but I was thankful they still offered some food...and there was unlimited coffee. I left feeling very satisfied.
