We were worried after reading the previous reviews! Quirky, chalet or motel style hotel. Rooms are small but clean and I’ve stayed in much worse for much more money! Watch the mezzanine access by ladder - bit steep and narrow but kids will love it! Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries and a great breakfast! For the price it does the job and is in an excellent position for getting off the A34 from the south and getting onto the A26 going North. Out of town last minute shopping 5 mins easy drive with a McDs and a HyperU. Say no more!

The property is a stunning castle, former private home of the respected Polignac family and has been properly updated and decorated. Although this 5 stars property should have it, pool and a Spa are missing. The well kept park is apparently open to the public (we met several “visitors” ) and has gorgeous trees and ample benches to have a quiet moment and enjoy nature. There seems to be an endless staff for such a small hotel and the G.M. was in attendance, having met our party at arrival, albeit ostensibly dismissive at several occasions afterwards: I have met dozens of GMs of much more important hotels around the world (from Oberoi, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, Waldorf or Dorchester) just having stayed at Le Meurice in Paris the 2 nights before…and there were all simple, humble and accessible individuals: never have had I to deal with such pompous attitude (I am French born, I know attitude:): instead of being helpful or personable, he would come hover around our party with a smirk while making sure he was perceived to be too important to be asked questions or offer specific help: even fellow guest , movie star Catherine Deneuve who was staying there that night, was less dismissive of other people !This provincial GM probably confuses his leadership role (being humble, warm and available while carefully supervising service excellence by his staff ) with posing as the distant “Chatelain” with an obvious disdain for American customers: true leadership and class are all about making ANY guest feel the most important, not yourself , esp. when you do work in Hospitality and are supposed to lead by example…That’s probably also why he doesn't seem to personally address most customer reviews on this Tripadvisor site and lets “customer relations” reply… Thankfully, some senior staff –esp. Amelie- are mostly dedicated and professional, except maybe for the bar where an endless swarm of junior waiters seem to be running around too busy to care about your drinks (although we were only two parties/ tables having drinks at that time ). We dined at the brasserie du Jardin that is managed by a very friendly, professional and efficient Maitre D’ Lucas : dinner under the trees was simple and elegant, staff was very attentive, carefully managed. By mistake, we had been advised via email months earlier that the formal Le Parc would be closed for a special event , without any later update: yet that night, Le Parc was open as usual but since we already had made plans for la Brasserie and had upcoming dinner plans at several 3 star restaurants later on our trip - Ousteau, Troigros and Ducasse at Hotel de Paris) we didn’t bother switching and missed the experience… All in all, this delightful but overpriced property, supposedly a 5 star, definitely deserves a better spirit of hospitality and attentive leadership: hopefully, the Gardinier Group owners can realize and address the situation before this asset becomes known as an obnoxious and irrelevant old Lady of Hos

Having never stayed in a Fasthotel, we did not know what to expect. We generally stay in average hotels with decent ratings, nothing fancy, but this was one of the worst rooms we've ever stayed in. I suppose for those looking for a quick overnight stop, this might be adequate, but for my wife and I, this was a pretty horrible stay. The room was tiny, with not enough room to put our suitcases down anywhere. The carpet was dirty, the bathroom was tiny (barely big enough to shower in), the walls were thin, and the internet was poor. The whole thing looked like a bunch of plastic-y portables put together. We were glad to have only one night there, as we were on our way to Paris.

This hotel, is near the train station, walking distance to many sights to see, and close to stores and restaurants. The The bed was much better than average, and the lady running the hotel is very pleasant. We were on the third floor, and the only way up was to climb the stairs. That could be a problem if bad knees, but everywhere in France we were climbing stairs and we rather liked it. There was plenty of food served at the continental breakfast. The hotel is very homey and we will stay there again when we return to France.

As an absolute Champagne lover it made our first experience in the famed region all the more special to stay in an authentic Belle Epoque styled boutique hotel. Everything was absolutely outstanding: from the hospitality, service, cleanliness and Covid-19 precautions, this hotel went beyond and above the definition of excellent customer service. Both Francois and his wife (who run the hotel) were personable, courteous and extremely caring. From arrival until departure, we were treated like honored guests - a royal treatment. The hotel was immaculate inside and out. The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom was spotless. We will most definitely return to Reims and will without the shadow of a doubt be staying at Grand Hotel des Templiers. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the staff.

We used this hotel as an overnight stop on our return to the UK. We had driven up from Nimes en route to Calais and after about 8 hours travelling Reims was the perfect location. The hotel is very close to the motorway junction and there is a massive L'Eclerc to fill the car up or grab any food/supplies. We had a family room which was excellent and perfect for our needs. The hotel is very new and has everything that you expect from Hotel B&B. The location is great if you want to get the tram into Reims or catch the TGV as the station is a few minutes walk away. We have used a number of Hotel B&B around France and always find them convenient and good value for money, despite the Euro-Pound exchange rate!

An essential journey through France before the latest lockdown, we were confident that the staff would provide a safe environment based on our experience in the summer. There was a curfew from 21.00 so it was very quiet. Breakfast was good with fresh bread and croissants etc. With fewer tradesmen staying the disabled parking spaces were left free, unlike in August. If you need a disabled space you might need to speak to reception to get the white vans moved.

Great location. Comfy bed, lovely shower room. Basic soap dispenser and nothing else provided. No fridge in the room or bottled water. Lift floor was dirty on arrival and bar was not as big as expected. That said, the room was clean and comfortable for one night with a good shower. Breakfast was a huge disappointment, the hot food was inedible. We tried it and left everything, only had fruit. When I mentioned it was poor when checking out, the receptionist clearly did not believe me, went into the restaurant to look and came back to say it was fine. It was not! I asked to only pay for one and she refused and charged me for two. It was only £10 per person but it was of poor quality and I resented her attitude. Poor customer service. Unlikely to return and we travel through Reims at least six times a year. Shame, the receptionist when we checked in last night was lovely.

Very poor price and quality ratio. The hotel seemed to be saving in all possible matters starting from the rooms - this was the very first IBIS where there was not even a single power socket in the bath room. The front desk officer claiming to be responsible for the hotel during the holilday of her holiday was really impolite towards us. The hotel was furious about the COVID-19 unlike all the other Accor hotels we stayed in France in July. The breakfast was orgnized in a very redicilous way - it's so funny to say that it is because of the safety of customers. It seemed to be aiming to save as much money as possible. Mayby the pleasure of controlling the customers was also the motivation considering the overall attitude of the staff? We were wondering why they are offering only ONE welcome drink related to the ALL Accor Card holder depite that the room had TWO customers. Is it really worth of saving extremenly little money and giving very very bad feeling for the loyal customer. We think that IBIS Reims and it's staff is UNWELCOMING the loyal customers. The front desk officer even laughded to us when discussing about the matter, which is extremely impolite. The worst was that the woman was lying to us stating very strictly that NO ACCOR HOTEL IN FRANCE provides the welcome drink to both cutomers at the same room as the Loyal Card Holder is. That is of course a lie, because we have stayed in many Accor hotels in France and also on trip the procedure was the normal - one welcome drink for both Loyal customers. As staff Member I would really consider how could I ever fix the major failures and the very disrecpectful behavior towards the Loyal customer. This kind of disrespectful attitude really makes loyal customers angry and makes us really to think why should we ever even continut to use Accor hotels. This kind of impolite behaviour, lying and saving very little in totally wrong issues really makes us Loyal Customers extremely disappointed.

Room was a decent size with a comfortable bed. TV non operational as channels were lost, so made do with BBC Sounds! Toilet cistern was constantly running in to toilet bowl so required door to remain shut. Breakfast was of a good standard with quite a reasonable standard. I was on ground floor level at front of hotel, so quite busy with buses but could also feel the vibration of the TGV's and other trains passing through the station as the tracks are immediately behind the hotel.

We came with a new born for two nights. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and clean, the view is great and location perfect. The only few negative elements were: - the heater barely worked (we tried to increase the temperature to feel comfy, it had no impact) - we were given a single small bottle of water, for 3 (175€ / night, they could afford more water) - the breakfast is VERY expensive for what it is (17€/pers for an average breakfast, 3€ extra for eggs, no cream cheese, pickup coffee yourself, no safe way to get bread from the toaster...) Overall it felt overpriced. With such price, the expectations are high.

On first appearance the room looked really nice and clean. However, I was sitting on the rug with my young daughter doing a jigsaw puzzle when I noticed a lot of hairs from previous guests as we were picking up puzzle pieces. It made me realise that the rug hadn't been properly vacuumed. The sofa bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable and the bedsheets were ripped. The whole room felt very basic and not as clean as we originally thought it was. For me, I'd rather not stay at this place again with my family but it might be okay for those travelling with friends on a budget. It was nice to have a small dining table and 4 chairs in the room but with all chairs at the table it made getting to the kitchenette difficult. There was a lot of chairs being scraped from the room above and we could hear lot of noises from the hotel so not great if you want a quiet night's sleep. The double glazing worked well to reduce the noise from outside. There was no air conditioning that we could find which made the room really hot during the summer heatwave. On the plus side, parking was easy and secure. The staff were generally very helpful.

Located just a stone’s throw from the centre of Reims this was a perfect location for our weekend stay. Or room was clean and comfortable (with A/C and temperature control), all mod cons including hypoallergenic bedding, friendly and helpful staff and a great bar on the 7th floor enjoying panoramic views over the City and the cathedral. Based on other reviews we avoided the hotel car park and used the multi-storey just up the road (which was a couple of Euros more per day). We secured an excellent room rate based on the ‘Book Now Pay Later’ option so our stay represented excellent value for money.

Just back from a 3 night stay, enjoying a fabulous insight into the Champagne region but far from refreshed! This is a well appointed hotel, with small but very comfortable rooms. However, do not bother with paying for a cathedral view if you value your sleep. You will be above the outside terrace of the restaurant, and on the pedestrian thoroughfare from the Cathedral and even though the Windows appear new and modern, they are very poor at keeping noise out. In our 3 nights we were regularly disturbed up until 2am - so I'd book an inward facing courtyard room, which will also of course save you some money. Breakfast was ok although it would be nice to see some fresh fruit rather than a mixed bowl of averageness. On the upside, the pre arrival communications were excellent, the parking simple and well organised, the Spa is well worth an hour's visit and all the staff were helpful and polite. We'd thoroughly recommend a visit to both Ruinart and Veuve Cliquot and for dinner try Au Petit Comptoir for something better than a Brasserie but a step down from Michelin Star.
