Arrived at the hotel more than 1 pm, the staff checked me in. The geographical location is superior. The hotel turns left and goes a few hundred meters to go to Fanglin Pasar. The laksa on Renlong store on the second floor is expensive. It costs 10 coins and it tastes good. The Fujian Bak Kut Teh on the 1st floor is very good. The 4 bowls of coins are good. The soup and ribs taste good, but the herbs taste a little heavier. Turn right at the hotel and turn right for more than ten minutes. There is the Maxwell Food Center on the street. Every day, Hainan Chicken Rice is inside. Unfortunately, the day I went there was not open. I switched to Xingxing Hainan Chicken Rice. I walked about twenty minutes from the hotel to Merlion Park, and only five minutes' walk to Ya Kun for breakfast and coconut toast. It was very convenient to use Google navigation. In the alley near the hotel, there are still some murals of the early Tang people living in Nanyang. You can take a look if you have time.

This pod was amazing. You could control the lights inside and sleep very comfortably. The breakfast provided was good! They provided cereal, fruit, milk, bread, etc... there were 2 shower+toilet rooms. Friendly staff👍

Good location, close to lots of bars and restaurants in Chinatown. Really close to Chinatown MRT station and walking distance (20-30 mins) to gardens by the bay, marina bay and downtown etc. Hotel itself is good for the price, the room we had was small but it was a really good use of space (the double bunk bed type thing above a living space with a sofa and kettle etc). Air con was a life saver in Singapore heat! Room was a little tired, stains on the wall and a small patch of damp behind the sofa. Also there was a funny smell, which didn’t go away at all during our stay, I think is due to lack of air - the window does not open and as the room is so small I guess with 2 people staying in it it builds up a bit of a smell. But, good for the price. I probably wouldn’t stay again however (due to the smell), though I would maybe try the Galaxy Pods next door which is owned by the same people. The hotel was full (Singapore GP weekend) so I didn’t ask for another room as they wouldn’t have been able to give us one. We walked past one of the other double rooms (bigger without the bunk bed thing) and it looked a bit more modern so my advice would be book one of those! Communal areas were clean but a little tired, one of the sliding bathroom doors was a little temperamental but I made sure I used the other one. Washing and drying facilities for clothes available. Breakfast basic but fine given it is free, good to have a cuppa and some Kaya toast in the morning.

I live and breathe hostels. During this trip to Singapore, I tried 4 different hostels and Beary Best at Chinatown was the beary best. Though, they do not provide breakfast like other hostels, Beary Best makes it up with it's quality, friendliness and overall ambience. They have got you covered, A to Z (minus the breakfast B). Their laundry is not very expensive ($5 for a load to wash and $3 to dry), don't want to use the dry machine, dry it in the sun for free. Other hostels used to charge ~10 to 12 SGD for washing and laundry. They have free coffee, milk and hot water 24/7. Lockers provided by the hostel very spacious and could fit my entire 60L backpack. The bed matresses were of very high quality and so was the pillow and the comforter. I had good sleep on the beds. All lower berth beds had curtains too, good for privacy and protection from the AC wind. The hostel is located in the very accessible part of Chinatown and is at walking distances to Clarke Quay, Singaporean Parliament, Boat Quay, Gardens by the bay and all other party places in Singapore and the touristy spots. The bus stations is 20 metres away and the MRT stations is 50 metres away. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. They know Singapore in and out and will guide you what to do not and not what to do. You can discuss anything with them - Singapore, How much stupid Donald Trump is, politics, economics and policies, food, transportation, anything.

I had a great staycation at Amoy on Sun 15 Nov. Bryan greeted me with warmth and fantastic hospitability. I had a refreshing oolong soda when I checked in and complimentary beers in the room minibar to quench my thirst. I also received a greeting note from Benjamin the manager with some lovely butter cookies. The next day, Benjamin noted that i didnt sleep well because of the rain on Sun night and he offered to extend my check out time to catch up on my sleep. That is so sensitive and thoughtful. The breakfast at Genius Green was sumptous and nutritious, I was fuelled up well for Amoy street tour of cultural monument and history. Bryan and Benjamin were friendly and observant to guest's needs. I will go back again Amoy for my next nightout at Telok Ayer Area.

If there is one word to describe the whole experience, the word is impeccable. My family and I were blown away by the service standards provided by the hotel. From the tea master, to the front desk, to the house keeper, everyone in the hotel put on an amazing display of excellence. From the moment we checked in till we checked out, it was nothing but First Class. I would also like to thank the team for making my Mum's birthday a memorable one. I would like to make a special mention to Ms Joyce who is part of the guest experience team. My parents just had a causal conversation with her regarding a particular cuisine, and to my amazement, she specially bought some of this cuisine and hand deliver it straight to my parents room. How wonderful is that? It was truly a memorable stay at the Clan Hotel. Out of the many hotels I've stayed around the world, I can confidently say this hotel is by far the best. Thank you so much.

The hotel is located in an old house in Chinatown, but the interior decoration is trendy and stylish. Like living in a 5-star hotel, it has all the facilities and there is a communal kitchen for cooking. The toilet is an exempt toilet. The rooms, toilets, bathrooms and public areas are very clean. Di Hotel is across from Chinatown Food Street and there are convenience stores nearby. Walking to the subway station, the cooked food market is about 5 to 10 minutes. The hotel is fully self-service, there are no staff on duty, check in check out all need to go online to handle it, if you do n’t know how to use it, you cannot check in. There is no elevator and it is hard to live on the 4th floor. The shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom are usually used up at night. Overall very good, the best choice to go to Singapore alone.

The service attitude is very good, and the location is ok, because this is the first time I have stayed in a collective dormitory-style hotel without much contrast. Let me talk about my personal feelings: booking a girl's room is actually a There is a large dormitory with 20 beds in a room. There are bunk beds. Everyone has different schedules, which is still a bit noisy. There are no toiletries. Each bed comes with a towel, if you want to change it I have to go to the front desk to find them to change. The bathroom is public, only the shampoo is available. The bathroom is sweltering, the sanitary environment is average, and there is no air conditioning. There is no special clothes changing room, nor The place to dry clothes. It feels like only a place to go back to sleep. It ’s best to stay outside at other times. The light in the hotel is very dim and the Internet TV signal is not very good. Anyway, everything is for you to try Do not stay in the hotel setting. I basically can't stay in the hotel but I can't stay in the hotel because it's too hot and there is no air conditioning. The public toilets in the subway station are better than in the hotel. There are requirements for the accommodation Shoes may refer to slightly.

I booked this place on a long layover in Singapore, and this place is so cool! Now, the showers and amenities are pretty much like most hostels (nothing special, but more than adequate), but the pod itself was actually quite nice! Inside feels very futuristic, and it comes with your own power outlets and a/c. Bedding and pillow were soft, and the Chinatown location is a plus!

Marina Bay
Actually requested for highest floor with amazing view but they didn’t fulfil my request. It’s okay, they also mention to make advance booking for swimming pool and so we did, but pool is fully booked, felt so disappointed. During check in we try our luck again for the pool, lucky there is last 3 slot of us. Around 7pm went swimming, but no one was there. (Wonder why they say it’s fully book) 😕 In the afternoon try to make booking for pool again, again they say fully book. We didn’t bother to go down to check. Aside from that, we do appreciate the gifts that comes in the package that include late check out at 6pm, inclusive of breakfast and semi lunch buffet for 2 adults. Room was very spacious and clean. Overall we are happy with our stay there. Definitely we come again.

I booked for my fiancé's birthday and in lieu to celebrate New Years. Firstly, early check in was given as to prevent the crowd during the New Years Eve. Very smart move made by the hotel which I am very thankful for! It helps to control the crowd. Trip.com has emailed me to WhatsApp the hotel as were told by the hotel to request for early check in. Replies by the hotel staffs were fast too! After checking in, I called to reserve the pool but it was sad I could not go as it was raining! The room was rather small but that's fine by me! The shampoo and body wash given smells nice! I usually do not use hotel's shampoo/bodywash but this hotel's toiletries was quite nice! The view from the toiler was not bad too! You need to of course close the blind to have a private shower. Was given free macaroons delivered by the robots to my room as it was my fiancé's birthday! Super kind gesture made by the hotel staffs! We were super touched! The next day, when I went down to pick up my breakfast as I choose to take away(can select to dine in or take away), the staff could not find my breakfast order as my breakfast order was misplaced by one of the staffs (the one I gave my order sheet to) But that's okay because I did not mind waiting for them to pack my food again. I was also granted late check out! Overall, pleasant stay! The team was all very friendly and approachable. Thank you!

There was a 3-hour delay in checking-in but we were reasonably compensated in the form of complimentary parking and dining credits. Kudos to the front desk and concierge staff who were efficient and patient, especially with some unreasonable guests (no need to make things difficult for those who are trying to make your stay better). Food quality of in room dining was good and the safety measure was well managed at the pool. Thank you to all that have served us during our stay, you are Awesome! Just one thing not so pleasant thou, the service attitude of a particular male staff at Ash and Elm was rather bad that’s why we decided not to dine there. Seemed like somethings don’t change (bad experience with Ash and Elm years back), so except for the restaurant, we would love to come back again 😁

Beds were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff service was friendly and professional. After the 1st night, was woken up by drilling and hammering noises at 9 plus in the morning. Breakfast in room dining was ordered at 930am, arrived at 1150am as in doom dining department could not cope w the huge amount of orders. Was informed that our breakfast would arrive at 1130am. So first day, wasn't impressed w renovation noises that disrupted our sleep and a breakfast that was more of brunch. Did request for room change and was given another room. Air conditioning in the new room was not working well n had to request for a fan. Overall, the old building and maintenance of the hotel would place it as a 4 star hotel rather than a 5-star rating.

Sentosa Island
From booking communication through email, Aisyah was the best. Everything went smooth and all our requests was accommodated. Even the room upgrade. Thank you so much Aisyah! :) Check in was smooth and Vin was really friendly and welcoming. As for the room (1015), it was almost perfect! Room was spacious enough for two and the view was AMAZING!!! Truly a panoramic view. Balcony was great, but it would have been better if there was a brighter light for lounging out during the evening. Only improvement I guess would be some of the staff being more friendly specially by the pool and beach area. In other Shangri-la, guests would go directly to the beds and a staff will bring the towels and some water for refreshments. We did not experience this here in Rasa Sentosa. Not sure if this is because of covid. But it would still be great if the staff would in those areas be more welcoming and friendly. Overall, had a great time and had a great birthday celebration. We would definitely come back for another quick getaway from the city. Thank you so much!

Lavender
Hotel Boss is about the location. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and Lavender MRT Station is 200m away. Bugis and City Hall area is a short bus ride away and Kampong Glam is within walking distance. Check-in was surprisingly quick, given the long queues inside the lobby as well as 2 separate long queues outside the hotel (one along it's drop-off point via Syed Alwi Road and another along its front - Victoria Street). The staff were friendly and welcoming. Pretty good attitude given the large crowd and check-ins. It's a mid-range hotel with many rooms. The rooms, however, are pretty small. Tiny, I would say. I have got a Triple Room and the distance between the foot of the bed and the desk is about a person's width. The en-suite toilet is tiny too. A big-sized guy like me would hit the wall or the basin when I changed inside the toilet. There are no traditional toilet paper dispenser. Instead, what was installed was a tissue paper in a cylindrical container where you pulled down piece by piece. This was installed by the mirror behind you if you used the bowl, so it was pretty inconvenient. The water strength of the tap and showers were good. Toiletries and towels were provided and replenished/changed daily. The bed was comfortable but only one pillow was provided and the pillow was thin. The air-con is pretty strong and given the small size of the rooms, the room was cooled pretty quickly. There is no wardrobe but an open-style hanging system was used with 6 hangers. Coffee and tea was provided as well as a kettle. The mini-fridge was great! The strength was great and chilled my drinks quickly. One really bad thing about Hotel Boss is that they have pretty thin walls. I could hear the muffled sounds of my next-door neighbours talking and the sound of the TV. There were some shouting two doors down and that was audible. Had to call the staff up to handle and they did a pretty good job. The in-room telephone wasn't working well and I could not hear anything after 2 calls down to the reception but they sent a guy up after that to make sure things were good. Breakfast was provided and served at their 4th floor Halal-certified restaurant. It was a choice between a Chinese or Western set. Serving was great with the typical breakfast items, in addition to yogurt, bread and cereal with milk. There were queues at certain times of breakfast (after 9.30am) but that was probably due to the high occupancy rate. All in all, I believe the Triple Room I stayed in was too cosy for 3 adults. I loved the service and condition of the room. It was convenient to get to a lot of places. However, one thing to note is that they would locked the front doors (facing Victoria Street) from 9pm-5am and you would have to access via it's drop-off point (facing Syed Alwi Road and Kallang River).
