|7.86km from city centerstayed May 2 on our way to Ariz. and on may 9 on our way home. First night had very few quests but second stay had a lot. Both nights were quiet though. Safe quiet location. Very clean except both times the stairway needed attention. Elevator was better. We stayed in a 2 double bed room which was a little small. the bed was fine though. Hot breakfast was above average in selection. Would stay here again even though it is on the south end of town. From I44 go south on Gladstone almost to Rt. 65. Check your directions though as there are several ways to get there from !44.

This time we noticed some stuff on the 2nd day but the day staff were able to correct everything right away and we came back to a perfect room. Shout to the evenings host Shawn. He made sure to speak to us each time we passed the desk, make sure things were going well, and check that we had everything we need. Best hotel host we’ve had to date.

|8.15km from city centerI very rarely submit a poor review of a hotel because almost always, I find Choice Hotels to be really a good deal. However, the rude service at this hotel coupled with misinformation I received concerning pets, prompted me to write this review. The check in process allows for no privacy and they announced my room number publicly. This is ”Hospitality 101” for goodness sake! Do NOT announce room numbers publicly especially when there are solo travelers. I called ahead of time to ensure the facility accepted cats. I was told it was $20.00 per cat and when I went to check in, I was told it was $30.00 per cat. I told the front desk about this misinformation and they did not care or apologize. I paid $60.00 extra for two cats. They also did not give me points for my stay in spite of having my Choice Hotels account number. Finally, as a solo traveler, I prefer to stay in interior rooms. Pet rooms are only exterior rooms. I will be planning my cross country trips more carefully to avoid this hotel even if it means staying in another city, such as Joplin, where there are fabulous Choice Hotel options.

The mirror area outside the bathroom had 6 outlets total—pleasant surprise when you are used to sharing a double outlet! We didn't eat breakfast as we were doing brunch at another location, but we stopped to fill our travel mugs—breakfast area was clean and well-stocked.

|7km from city centerI stayed at this hotel twice during my recent visit to the Springfield/Branson area. They currently contract with Yellow Cab for their shuttle service, and while the drivers are very courteous, the service is a little slow. I waited for over an hour for a shuttle to the hotel on one occasion. From the hotel to the airport, the shuttle runs every hour so you can reserve your shuttle in advance with no issues. All hotel employees provided exemplary customer service. Rooms were clean and adequate with comfortable beds.

She said she the bed was very comfortable and she loves the waffles in the morning. Staff was friendly and checked on us periodically. We will definitely stay here again.

There's ample parking at the hotel, but I parked on the ground floor of an adjacent well-lit parking garage steps from the side door of the hotel that is shared by the Fairfield Inn and the Doubletree Hotels.

|0.51km from city centerUpon arrival, there were issues with our room. One area was not clean, there was no fridge in the room, and the TV did not work. They had apparently been having issues with the TV all day. Assistant Manager Hannah came to our room to try to fix the TV, but it continued to have issues. They were full for the night, so there were no other rooms to move us to. She offered to move us to another hotel or comp the room. We chose to comp the room as we were there to attend a concert that was within walking distance of this hotel. Hannah brought in a fridge, and cleaned the dirty area. This was our first time staying at a Tru by Hilton. I would certainly stay again. We very much appreciated Hannah's efforts to make things right for us.

The staff was friendly and offered cookies and water at check-in. The only negative I would point out is that the bathroom could use a little refresh. The showerhead and drain were old and not in best condition. There appeared to be rust on the shower door where it slides at the bottom and there was hair on the bathroom counter. I didn't care for the placement of the bed being adjacent to the television either. I had to lay on my side or turn my neck which was uncomfortable. I enjoyed the options for netflix, hulu, live tv and so on though. Overall, I'd come back but would appreciate the bathroom fixtures to be more modern and not rusted.

|2.63km from city centerRetro and cozy. Nice photo ops with antique cars. The room is small; however extremely clean. Has a sofa and small desk, in addition to a small refrigerator and microwave. No USB port in the room, we utilized our laptop for phone charging. They have a chair also outside of room, as well as some other chairs and table outside the reception area. The hot breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, most hotels do not offer at such a reasonable cost. For women traveling alone, it should make them feel safe since they do leave the lights on at night. We did not use the pool but it is a nice size and definitely great to get some sun, albeit a bit noisy. They have some T-Shirts(Route 66) for purchase as well. The people at reception were super friendly. So if you are traveling the Route 66, definitely recommend this small, cozy and retro hotel!

|4.03km from city centerOverall, I think this hotel used to be a really really nice hotel but has been sorely neglected for many years. It is not a bad place to stay but it isn’t what it once was either. Check in was easy in the lobby it’s pretty but you can tell that things have been left without being kept up. The people at the front task were very nice. Our room is a standard room and the first thing I always check out the bathroom for cleanliness. The bathroom is clean which is always a good sign. Overall the hotel was very clean so I felt really good about that. The bathroom is small and the toilet doesn’t feel like it is anchored to the floor because it rocks. In the shower, the faucet is pulled out of the wall and needs to be repaired. The TV has a good number of channels and the reception was good. The pool is an outdoor pool and it is about standard size for a hotel but it has clearly been neglected over the years. The water was coming and we felt safe swimming but everything else just seemed old. We went down for breakfast in the morning and the breakfast is very very minimal. They had eggs sausage biscuits and gravy bagels and cereal. There was only salt but no pepper, there was no milk for the cereal, and there were no toppings for the bagels.

|6.33km from city centerMy husband and I finally got to getaway for a few days after two years. We were looking for a hotel with a suite, breakfast/restaurant, and bar. According to the website, this was the place, except in reality there was no food, Starbucks or alcohol. They did have wine and a couple things in their pantry that you could buy and fix for yourself, and coffee was out 24-7. My guess is that it has been this way for a while and that the website hadn’t been updated. I was angry because we were choosing a hotel for these amenities. The staff there was absolutely amazing and was the best part of the stay! Our room was extremely spacious and faced the courtyard. Highway noise wasn’t disturbing. It was nicely furnished and comfortable with large flat screen TVs, which was a nice treat. Unfortunately, we were unable to get Netflix to work, even after having someone come up to help. I gotta say, she was there in less than 5 min. though. The bed seemed a little small for a king, but it was soooo comfortable and I slept extremely well. There was tons of counter space in the living room as well as the sink section of the outer bath area. I was surprised that there was only a single sink in it. The lighting in the whole suite was pretty dim. A lighted make up mirror is desperately needed due to this. The bathroom showed it’s age and wasn’t cleaned as well as it should have been, yet wasn’t gross. The shower head had a very wide spray that was unable to be adjusted, and felt weak. All in all, if you are looking for a comfortable bed, this is where you want to be. The personnel is top notch and everything is lacking at this point.

Wasn’t expecting much for the price, but wasn’t expecting a zero class environment either. First impression: Entry and parking area littered w/ trash and cigarette butts, people walking their dogs in parking lot, others sitting in lot smoking. Ordinarily would’ve turned around and left, but had already booked and it was late. Front desk person was a bit too inquisitive, and quickly noted there’s no services available ‘due to Covid.’ Elevator was half sized and took some doing to get everything up to the room, which was dingy and old, and couldn’t help but feel it wasn’t the cleanest or most updated place I’d ever seen. Didn’t have that ‘clean’ smell. Sat on the edge of the bed and it almost tipped over. New experience for me — what was it, a piece of plywood on a box? Tough it out & get through the night. Just hoped there’s no bugs.... ‘Old and over-inhabited’ might describe it. Second impression. Woke up in the morning and took a shower. Welcome experience after days on the road, but noted a strange odor. Sardines? Anchovies? Opened my door and the entire floor smelled like some smelly fish market. Just plain gross. Don’t mind people cooking in their rooms, but how about a little common courtesy and respect for others? The place reeked and made me ill. Now would you care to guess who’s checking out and who won’t ever stay in another Extended Stay again? Completely gross and sickening experience — and totally inexcusable.

It was accurate, I really enjoyed the nights stay. Front desk was courteous, professional. Room was excellent, couldn't find anything wrong even if I wanted to nitpick. I will definitely stay here again in few days on my way back to Chi. Highly recommend it as of August 31 2022.

Hot items were all frozen and thawed/microwaved unappealing - but good variety of other items to choose from. Room ammenities included hair dryer, coffee maker, mini fridge. Bath had a spacious standup shower, no tub. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay again. *if you book through a 3rd party site be aware you must give hotel a credit card they charge $150 deposit to at checking, and it takes up to 2 weeks to be refunded.

The team that manager Kristina is putting together is making a difference in this property and its improvements. Cleaner rooms, cleaner public areas, a sincere effort to care about guests, Response to issues and concerns and a staff that does there best with what they have. There are aspects of the property ( some updates and some worn and dated_ that are challenging but the team is trying to work and maintain what they have. The property has a convenient location, nice pluses such as pool and hot tub, a standard breakfast that is back and good proximity to shopping and quick food. We were very pleased with out recent stay, with Kathy at the front desk and the improving housekeeping team Keep up the good work.
