I'll keep it short and simple: the hotel thoroughly impressed me. Keeping Paris standards in mind - automatically pricier and smaller rooms - the quality we got for the price was outright amazing. Very helpful service, clean rooms, useful manuals, tips on things to visit (they even send you a mail ahead of time), a PC to look things up, free coffee/tea, too many things to list... I visited during the heatwave and can also guarantee that the air conditioning works excellently. :-) Location-wise it was great too: nearby shops if you want to get your own food (as we did, so I can't comment on the breakfast), bunch of restaurants nearby (including vegan! Don't be fooled by HappyCow), close-by to metro. There's probably stuff I should mention in a review that I forgot, but I can tell you this: not a single time was I unhappy with the hotel or did I regret my choice. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Clearly it's a labor of love. Turns out I didn't keep it short and simple. :-)

We spend one night at the hotel. The room was ok for two people. The room was small but enough space to sit, get our luggage and we can sit at the balcony! The room and sanitair was clean. The employees were kind. We used the parking garage for €20,00 until 12:00-12:00 and you can buy more hours to park. The location is about 10-15 minutes from the Eiffel tower. The metro was very nearby even the supermarket, MCDonalds and Starbucks. We can’t tell you about the breakfast because we eat at an another place. We went for dinner to la Sarrasine. We recommend this place because it was a cosy place, we had very nice food and drinks, a kind host and good prices! 12 rue Jean du Bellay, 75004 Parijs near Notre Dame!

Myself and partner visited this hotel as part of a weekend break we booked back in August 2019. This hotel is an ideal location where it is far enough away from the business of the Eiffel Tower, but also close enough to walk too! This hotel is a lovely little boutique with very modern and clean rooms! We had a lovely room overlooking the Main Street with a lovely big open window. The room includes a king size bed, a mirror, a table and a chair. The bathroom includes a big shower cubicle, a toilet and a sink. The hotel staff were more than happy to help us with any queries and also helped us book Disneyland for one day! They provided us with maps of the city and printed off paperwork for us! This hotel also has a breakfast service in the mornings, which costs extra but it includes all fresh pastries! Overall lovely hotel in a fab location! Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for reading😊xx

Location + The location is perfect, only 10/15 min walk from the Eiffel tower. 3 min away from a supermarket and other little shops. Parking + There are plenty of parking options in the area. You can ask the staff for a key to the parking of the hotel. - The parking of the hotel is expensive, € 22,- for a day. You have to pay this in cash. The room + The room was very clean with a nice interior. It also smelled like summer in there! - Basic stuff like coffee/tea/water is missing. (there is also not an iron and ironing board but that’s not necessary) The bed was very small. If you're large Dutch persons like us, you will not fit the beds. But we also know that French beds are always very small. Overall the room was very very small. The toilet even was so small that my boyfriend (1.86) didn't fit on it. The shower is in the room itself so be aware of that if you are with a friend/colleague. There is a safe but ours didn’t work. Breakfast + Cute vibe. Also, the lady who welcomes you were very friendly. The breakfast was fine. - There were no eggs! Also very minimal choice. The classical music is awesome if you like it. We did not, so it was a bit annoying. Check in/check out + Easy and fast check in/out - The staff was a bit cold but I guess it’s just the French behavior. As Dutch people this was a real culture shock.

Great hotel very convenient to the Eiffel Tower and a shopping area is next door. Hotel is all about Marilyn Monroe so very cool decorating. Hotel was very clean and front desk was exceptioanlly helpful. Their english was very good which helped when trying to learn how to get to certain places. Rooms are very small which seems to be the norm in France. But we were busy sight-seeing so that wasn't an issue. We had a car so being able to use their arrangement with a nearby parking garage was great. Would highly recommend the Platine Hotel.

My second time of staying in your lovely hotel and will come again ❤️ it's very sweet hotel and always clean and with comfy bed. Only sad of extra rules due to covid of no kettle with tea in the room, but covid will not last forever ;) Looking forward to next time.

We visited Paris for the first time and chose to stay at Hotel Gustave. Loved this hotel! The location in the city close to the Eiffel Tower, the room decor, the very helpful staff (Philip)!! As well we liked the wonderful scented body wash in room (!), the free coffee & water in the lounge where we brought local chocolate croissants and crepes for breakfast, the outdoor patio where in nice weather we would have loved to have our breakfast or a glass of wine & in general the overall ambience of the hotel and of course the city itself! We will never forget the stay that we had in Paris & the experiences that we were able to enjoy. We chose to eat at the local Cafe Dupleix & Brasserie and would also recommend the chocolate croissants from local Artisan Boulanger Emanuel Martin and the crepes from the Artisan Boulanger across the road from the hotel. You cannot go wrong by staying at this hotel and we can say that your experience will be a positive one.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter and son and his girlfriend Lovely clean and central hotel Very close to all transport links metro, bus and in walking distance of Eiffel Tower I booked the family room. 2 connecting rooms. 1 double 1 twin. Double was ok twin a bit small. Did the job as we were out all day. No kettle or fridge in the room Twin room felt a bit claustrophobic as only a small window. Not a huge issue if you are out and about Beds very comfortable Supermarket and good selection of restaurants within 5 minutes of the hotel. Lovely staff Could do with a lick of paint around our room. A bit concerned by the doors as kept sticking and worried me about the security Other rooms in main hotel looked great. If you are doing all the sights definitely worth staying

My wife's birthday is the 23rd of December and because of the date she has never really had a chance to celebrate her birthday properly so this year I secretly booked a stay in Paris, on arrival at the hotel we were informed breakfast was not included and we'd have to pay extra per person, I made sure breakfast was included and this was confirmed by the agent when we got home. I understand France can be rustic but I would say the hotel was in a state of disrepair more than rustic. The dining area looked like it was full of 2nd hand school furniture and was very cramped, on entering the room we were allocated (202) we were shocked at how little space there was, a double bed that wouldn't look out of place in a rundown bedsit, a table that looked as if it had been pulled from a skip and 1 chair that you couldn't even use as you couldn't pull it out far enough due to the bed being in the way. Also advertised was tea and coffee facilities in the room, what a joke, enough for 1 coffee per person in cardboard cups so non reusable, 1 tiny milk carton each, and a kettle from a bedsit or 2nd hand store. Now for the bathroom.... To say small is an understatement, to sit on the toilet you virtually banged your knees or head off the wall opposite, towels were put on the floor each day as the towel holder was falling off the wall, the shower was so small that when you tried turning round your back ended up switching the shower off. The only thing this place had going for it was the staff were friendly enough and it seemed pretty clean but extremely run down, we ended up getting up and going out every day and coming back as late as possible so we spent as little time there as possible. I would not recommend this place and have no intention of booking with them again. I've tried adding photos but apparently they are too large to add?! I took them on my mobile!

Hi All, Going to try and keep this informative, honest & short (compared to a few of my other reviews)! The hotel itself is very modernistic downstairs, rooms not so much, but they are fairly spacious and clean. The entire hotel was clean. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was simply because of how close it was the Eiffel Tower, around a 10-minute walk. The majority of the staff were fantastic without anything to complain about and they dealt with any requests swiftly. The room service staff were a bit rude, but mostly nice. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby and the staff always seemed to have great recommendations. The price of the hotel for its location is extremely reasonable (in my opinion). If you go to the lower entrance of the hotel and exit through the back you’re brought to a bit more of a rundown area that maybe not all people would feel safe walking around late at night, but that’s not something to judge this hotel off of, there is security all around the place. Was very surprised. We went over the Valentines period and all I can say is Paris is wonderful, especially at that time of year. Just a little reminder (!!!) - Remember Paris is a wonderful place, but as I am sure many people will know is it at times is filled with pickpockets. They will come up to you asking you ‘do you speak English’ with a clipboard of a picture of a disability icon and asking you to sign. Be careful! They are (I cannot obviously say all, but the high majority) trying to distract you whilst someone will come from behind to grab something from your pockets. Stay safe. I would recommend this hotel mainly because it’s clean, close to everything you need, and very reasonable for being so close to the centre of Paris. Do keep in mind, you’re in Paris - it’s not cheap. The drinks in the hotel for spirits are about €12 for a single & €24 for a double/per drink (Grey Goose price - cant remember other drinks off of the top of my head)

The WORST experience in Paris. When i arrived at the hotel, there was nobody there. I called the hotel and they say i need to take car and visit their office which is 20-30 minutes far away from the hotel by car. (Which is 40-60 minutes round trip by car! ) i said we have 4 luggages and they just say there is NO way but to visit their office. They keep reject the cancel and refund. I waited 60 minutes on the road but no solution so i got to other hotel nearby. I finally i payed all the hotel fee without even entering the room!!!! Ignorant and arrogant workers! Very dissapointed and upset!!

We are a couple in our 60s and were here for a 3 day short break and were not disappointed, our room with double bed although a bit small was adequate was on the 3rd floor facing the street and although the windows are not double glazed the the traffic is very lite and the noise is not a problem very slight , even a noise which we only found out on last day was a scooter alarm opposite the front reception door which went off for the entire stay every few hours or so. Our stay was bed and breakfast which consisted of cereals, cold meats, cheese, cold boiled eggs french bread, fruit juices and patisseries , tea and coffee. The bar is not really a bar but somewhere you can sit and have a beer or soft drink from a vending machine. The location is great easily reached from CDG airport by train at only €10 pp and about 1 hour journey with one change and two minutes walk to hotel , with the Eiffel Tower a bit further than in other reviews at between 15-20 minutes walk. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would stay here again.

Stayed 9 nights. Got a room in the 5' floor with balcony. Small but very nice. Superb location, some 20 m. from the Rue Rivoli on a quiet small street. No noise at all. Meters from St. Jaques Tour and the Hotel de Ville (Municipality). Exit from the Hotel de Ville Metro station, exit Rue Coutellierie, has mechanic stairs till the street which is not so common. For elderly people, or with baby trolleys, etc. is perfect. Walking distance from Forum des Halles, Louvre, Pompidou Center, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, etc. Everyone speaks english. Stephan speaks Spanish as well. Very nice and helpful good looking and cooperative guy. Completely refrubrished. Insulated walls prevent from any noise from other rooms or street which is anyway very quiet. Beautiful, small bathroom. Small but has everything. New furniture. Wooden floor. New and very good quality of towels. Very good heating. Kettle and coffe machine in the room. Now cons: not everything is bright: The room is perfect but very very small. Has very little shelves and room for clothes. Beautiful but extremely small. Need to improve exterior entrance which is brown, dark, and old, leaving a not nice impression. Nice and clean lobby but outside look, needs improvement. Same with the corridors rugs. I will definitely come back and recommend to my friends, those who don't mind to stay in a very small room - but very nice and pleasant.

Good location, nearby Carrefour, franprix and other supermarkets! I live on the 2nd floor facing the street, and it is very quiet at night, but the sound insulation between the room and the room is really average. The room is not large and has a balcony (not every room, so it is best to leave a message to tell the room with a balcony when booking) ), There is also a door in the bathroom sharing a balcony with the room, so the balcony is quite large. The hotel only provides shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer. Slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so it is recommended to bring your own toiletries. Lines 7 and 10 are only 5 minutes' walk from the surrounding area. Line 4 is about 15 minutes away. The 5th district is a Latin area, surrounded by universities, so it is safe! The hotel has access control locks, staff need to help open the door to enter! Breakfast is an ordinary western-style breakfast, bread, milk, eggs, oatmeal, sausage and cheese. A tax of 1.88 euros per person per night, which must be paid to the front desk when checking out. This Ctrip will also call you when you are in China to inform you that this tax must be paid to the hotel separately! The hotel provides free wlan, but the Internet speed is average, the room has air conditioning and heating. In short, the price is high!

In Christmas 2019 in France, I ordered a Superior King Room (with sofa bed). The size of the room is already relatively large in Paris. The two 24-inch boxes can be spread out and can be used at the same time. Hotel location: In the 1st district, about 10 minutes from the Louvre if not. The entrance of the hotel is Line 1 and Line 14 subway stations, which is very convenient (although we happened to strike in France when we went there, the subway stopped ... But it is very convenient to live here if you come here to play). There are a variety of restaurants near the hotel downstairs, from McDonald's to Italian French and Japanese. There is also a 10-minute walk from St. Eustache Church. The church will have an organ show around 5pm on Sunday, which is worth a look. Room facilities: There is a kettle (I originally brought a portable kettle, but the boiled water has white foam. In the end, I can only use the hotel. Fortunately, the hotel's kettle is quite clean. The shampoo and bath are two in one. Washing hands and washing face in one. The smell is very comfortable. It doesn't dry out after washing. Breakfast: Special! do not! it is good! We stayed in Paris for 5 nights. One of the most anticipated daily is the hotel breakfast. There are various types of bread such as ham, bacon, cheese, and baguettes. The best thing is their croissant and small square chocolate filling. The bag has a particularly crispy outer skin, and the inside is very soft. The fruits are also cut. The oranges, kiwis, pineapples, grapefruits, bananas, and watermelons are also available. You can also squeeze the juice directly (but the grapefruit is a bit bitter and is not recommended ), The coffee machine is also self-service, there are latte, fast coffee, cappuccino, etc., hot dishes are omelet, tomato sauce, bean sauce, boiled potatoes, etc. Others are oatmeal, raspberry juice, grapefruit juice and orange juice ( Of course it's ice). If you want to eat fried eggs, you can tell the waiter that the kitchen is fried and delivered to the location. Overall the hotel experience is very good.

Booked based on location before reading reviews so was a little nervous about what to expect. Have to say I saw no evidence of the poor maintenance shown in some photos, the public areas of the hotel and our room were in perfect order and very clean. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the front desk is manned 24x7. We arrived far too early for check-in hoping we could just leave our bags but the room was ready so they let us have it right away. They kept hold of our bags for us until an evening flight on check-out day too. The room was quite small but that's normal for the old buildings in the area. Shower was over the bath but decent pressure. Location is ideal, at the quieter end of one of the less busy streets in the Marais, so only two minutes walk from all the cafes, bars and restaurants but not too noisy. I will happily book again next time I'm working in Paris.

I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions in the past, and after a 10 year gap I returned to Paris for a few days and booked again. I was not disappointed! The location is just excellent...Pompidou is a block away, BHV literally opposite. Le Marais, Notre Dame etc. are a short stroll, and everywhere else a quick metro ride away. I was in town for work but even being tired at the end of the day, getting out to eat and sightsee in the evenings was effortless. The hotel has a contemporary boutique feel - stylish but subtle and nicely updated since my previous visits. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, and my room was modern and comfortable. I opted for the express breakfast each morning, which offers juice, coffee and a selection of wonderful fresh breads and pastries. A perfect start to my day and again served by a welcoming and friendly member of staff. I can't recommend this place enough, and I will be returning on my next Paris visit!

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of February. The first two nights were on the 3rd floor facing the street. It was significantly loud with traffic and street noise. On the third night we switched to a 4th floor room that faces the courtyard and alley. MUCH quieter. Both rooms were executive sized (larger than standard.) It was nice to have the extra room, however, there were at least two too-many pieces of furniture in each room that ate up a lot of the space! We could have done without the extra side chair and occasional table. (Or keep those two and get rid of the love seat!) It didn't help that my wife and I each had two large pieces of luggage each. The furniture is a little dated but not unsettling. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. (although the shower had a very slow drain and the pan backed up with a pool of water, yuck.) One more thing about the first bathroom: The faucets were a design of smooth chrome; so smooth that it was impossible to turn them off with wet hands! Design fail! The executive room we moved to on the 4th floor was a bit bigger, and better laid out. This one had a tub shower and workable faucets! FTW! The roof deck is NOT TO BE MISSED! One of the best views in Paris! All front desk and cleaning staff were gracious and very helpful. I would possibly stay here again if only for the location and roof top view!
