The best thing about the Markazia Suites was the wonderful pillows and fresh, clean sheets. The bed itself was very comfortable as well. However, the duvet was a little too full for summertime. However, we were surprised with everything else, given that this hotel had been given five stars! The room, though spacious enough, was extremely old and dingy, with stained sofas, matted worn carpeting, really ready for refurbishing. The grout in the shower was filthy, covered with mildew. The bathroom amenities were pretty minimal for being labeled a five/star hotel. One pair of slippers for the two of us, no bath robe. The serviceman was a good sport when the crib in the room couldn’t be set up; he cheerfully took everything out and returned with a brand new porta crib. Yay! The repairman who was called for the broken safe and the broken refrigerator (which they ended up replacing) was very nice & didn’t at all seem put out. He also spent some time fiddling with the user-UNfriendly microwave & finally showed me how it worked when neither I nor the housekeeper could figure it out. Although the concierge was very welcoming & helpful, the doorman took a long time to open the door for us when we tried to enter with a stroller. We usually opened the door whether entering or exiting while he sat on his stool. Didn’t expect that for a five-star either.

I booked this hotel as a group booking, 12 people, 8 rooms. The staff were most helpful and offered an excellent rate. We checked in at 2am due to our flight time and the staff were there to meet us and very friendly. The whole stay they were very helpful for local advice and provided impecible service throughout our stay. The rooms are not huge but very modern and exceptionably clean. The roof top pool/Bar is very well designed with great views across the city, perfect all day especialy for sun set drinks. I would not stay anywhere else in Beirut after staying here.

I love love this addition of this little gem to Beirut. Befitting to the name, it is a place that makes you feel lost in time and space. The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and soothing. The icing on the cake is the lobby bar restaurant that makes killer cocktails and eclectic food inspired by Sydney Australia’s modern food movement. Cannot wait to come back.

My husband & I stayed at Zur Studios & Suites in Beirut for 2 weeks in an exceutive suite. It was very comfortable with high end furnishings. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The common areas are extremely clean and disinfection products are used and available at the reception and in the elevators. The bed linen and the towels are changed on a daily basis. Parking access is available to clients with 24 hour security. Food delivery staff are not allowed to access the building for hygiene purposes. I would highly recommend Zur Suites & Studios!

This is a great place to stay in a fun neighborhood. From the moment I booked my room until I left, the whole Meshmosh team was helpful and informative! The rooms are nice, clean and affordable. Breakfast is fantastic, with a lot of choice and good coffee/tea available. A friend of mine needed a room last minute since the hotel she had booked was a disaster, Grand Meshmosh stepped up and helped her with an easy move and a nice place to stay! Airport shuttle was also convenient and well priced.

I stayed at Plaza Hotel for 5 nights and this place was really outstanding! The rooms are modern and clean, the morning breakfast is fantastic, and the customer service is just amazing! The front desk organized daily taxis for me, where I was brought to several places around Lebanon. This was probably the best thing I did throughout my travels! In addition, the people here are very friendly. I always felt welcomed and I will most certainly return to Plaza Hotel the next time I’m in Lebanon. Thanks for the great stay, Plaza!

My husband and I stayed in the hotel over New Years for one week. This is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in, the service and cleanliness is impeccable, the staff is extremely friendly. The hotel is very comfortable and truly gave the feeling of a home away from home. The price for the hotel along with room service is very reasonable. The room incorporated a great deal of amenities, one usually does not receive in other hotels (not even some of the leading hotels in the world). Not to mention everything is fairly close. From the reception, to housekeeping, to the staff at breakfast, everyone made you feel welcome and happy to be there. Will definitely stay there again on my next visit and will recommend it to anyone who’s visiting Beirut.

I had an unexpectedly better experience than expected in this hotel! Rooms were renovated and service is improved so I’d say good job to the management I had a stay in this hotel 2 years ago but it wasn’t that impressive as rooms were worn out and furniture was old but this time however, it was a better experience as the rooms are totally renovated. Room size is much better than most hotels in Rouche. Prices also are slightly cheaper so these are excellent advantages for the property Jana café is ok were you have free breakfast. Food was ok with enough options to eat from Check in however wasn’t that great! We had a hard time dealing with Christina from the reception. For some reason she was unpleasant to deal with and refused to let us check in early for some reason! And after we were able to finally check in she gave us only one room key! Imad however was great and helpful as well as the staff from the concierge Taymour and Abed. Rooms need to have more pillows as it was my only experience were we had two pillows only! Everywhere I go there’s at least n extra pillow but not in this hotel! All plugs in rooms are deep inside and that won’t allow some devices to work as there should be at least one or two plugs with direct surface to allow wider range of international plugs Swimming pool is on 9th floor but i honestly didn’t have time to go there so I can’t say anything about it

My main-stay-hotel in Beirut has been and will always be the Gefinor Rotana Hotel located in the Hamara District of Beirut. I have not stayed in the Gefinor Rotana for many, many months due to the travel restraints caused by the Corona Virus Pandemic. On our return to Beirut from a great ten day vacation in Turkey I decided for my wife and I to spend at least one-night at the: Gefinor Rotana Hotel. This was a very wise decision as the hotel arranged for a doctor the next morning to perform our fourth CPR Corona Test as well as a very professional Airport collection. We found immediately that the hotel was taking extreme Corona Virus precautions as over the previous two days Beirut had experienced another major number of reported Corona Cases! The service at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel was tops as always from the check-in to our check out. We discovered that once again we were given a room upgrade and of course with a sea view and balcony room. We only stayed one night and that was way too short of a stay, but my wife wanted to return back to Damascus as soon as our CPR Test was completed. We had breakfast, which was via their excellent Room Service. The breakfast was served in plastic containers and was quite good. I believe that their traditionally fantastic Breakfast Buffet has been suspended due again to the Corona Virus. Once again if you find yourself in Beirut Lebanon, you must stay at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel, you will not be disappointed…trust me…

We spent here two nights. You can easily notice that once it had been a great hotel. Now some furniture is a little bit worn out and the glory has faded. Still, I believe it is a nice place to stay as it is situated in lively Hamra district, close to the city centre. The prices are good, I think you cannot really expect a super modern hotel in this location for 30 dollars, just be realistic. We had here breakfast - all tasty, friendly staff members but to be fair there was rather narrow choice of food. Probably it is wiser to go for breakfast somewhere else.

We had a long weekend here. The hotel has a good period character to it; not contemporary generic and modern, but not dated either. Our room was spacious and clean; the only complaints were that we couldn't get the telly to work (but we didn't come to Beirut to watch TV), and that the tea & coffee facilities in the room description were not present. The location's good, only 10 minutes from the bars in Hamra and 5 minutes from the Corniche. The breakfast was very much Middle Eastern; mostly dips, cheese and salads, although you could have toast, cereals and scrambled eggs. I was daring and had the foul medames, which was very tasty. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Haitham in the entrance lobby. Also, when my wife fell ill, they were able to hold the room for us until 3pm which enabled her to have a bit of rest before catching the flight home. My wife's food poisoning aside, a very positive experience.

First of all, I would like to say, Raouche Arjaan by Rotana is the one of the best hotel I have stayed in and it is the only hotel I would stay in in Beirut for many reasons. I travelled with my wife and we booked a suite and as soon as we reach the hotel they recipient Kareem said because it is your wedding anniversary the management office upgrade your booking to be Raouche veiw (it was big WooooW) so, Thank you Raouche Arjaan by Rotana Management office for your sweet offer Also big thank you for kareem, Raneem and Angee (Sorry Angee I spelled the name wrong lots red flower for you and one white hahahaahah). The suite was located in 11th floor it has beautiful sea and Raouche view, in the first night we have been welcomed with juice drinks and heart cake shaped by the General Manager, unfortunately, the room service through the card but as far as I remember the name was Hala Massad so , Big thanks Hala (lots red flower for you and two white hahahaahah). The concierge was very tidy, very helpful and advisory where to go and what to do. Now Big Big thanks to Mr Faisal from House keeping (lots white flower for you and two red hahahaahah) for your assistance and kindness. sorry if i forget any one but in general all of the hotel staff was friendly. now about the hotel, an excellent romantic location. just cross the road is the Flaminki where you can have nice also near by coffee shops looking to the Raoucha facing the sea as well near all what you need so, If I am going to Beirut againe I will very sure stay in Raouche Arjaan by Rotana suite # 1102. My mum and I arrived at this hotel and the staff were very friendly, helped us check-in very quickly. We were upgraded to having kitchenette on arrival which was a nice surprise. Our rooms were very clean and was cleaned everyday if requested. The breakfast buffet we had every morning was delicious, and was nice to see Lebanese traditional food and cuisine such as foul, yoghurt, thyme bread (zaater)! My mum and I were no disappointed and always came out content with the quantity of quality of food they had available. In terms of location, it is in the centre of Hamra which made it nearby to almost everything, like a 10-15 minute to the beach and all the shops were nearby. Though it did require a service taxi to go to downtown but they only cost 2000lbp each which is less than £2 to go anywhere in Beirut. So all in all, really great place and I recommend to anyone!

I Regret to Say that i did not expect this from Royal Tulip Hotel, as it is a big Name, and considered a 5 Star Hotel in Many countries. I will start with when i booked via booking.com and was asked to pay 3 days before arriving to the hotel. that was settled, and i got to pay 3 days earlier. When i got to the lobby, the receptionist looked down at me, which at first i got the impression i was not welcomed there. anyways, I gave her the payments in usd, and it took her 5 to 10 minutes making sure the dollars were not fake. In a 5 Star hotel i expect them to have a Currency Checking Machine instead of squeezing the money in different ways and methods that i've never seen before. anyways i just thought to my self that it was her personal behavior. I was already not looking forward to the hotel. Upon arrival for checking to the Hotel, the room was not ready and we had to wait 30 minutes. Checking was supposed to be by 2:00pm and we arrived by 2:30pm and waited until 3:00pm. We finally got the card, and headed to the room. We paid for a Suite, but received a Tiny Room, we were not sure whether that was the suite or not. We decided to go the swimming pool for a little swim before heading out to Beirut, and my my, the swimming pool was dirty, the environment was dusty and foot prints on the glass table, the tiles were dirty, the water was green, i bent down to smell the water, and there was no chlorine smell in it. We decided not to swim but to sit and watch the view of the city. we headed out to Beirut for the night, and got back pretty late, we took our bath everything was well, and when we woke up in the morning to have our breakfast. (Breakfast has an additional cost of $9 Per Person) we got to the breakfast section of the hotel which is also in the lobby. There was only 1 boiled egg in the pot. and some bits and pieces of food, we didn't understand what we were supposed to eat, we asked the waiter for coffee, and he provided us with cold coffee. We were just shocked from everything that was going on in the hotel, we decided to check out.. No words for what we experienced. Not worth the money. very disappointing.

Great value for money, clean overall, has ok-ish breakfast, stayed there 4 nights and only had breakfast on the first day. Rest of the days we were either going out early morning or sleeping till late. We requested for spicy omelette which they specially made for us, it was fresh and tasty. It’s in the hamra area, so there are a number of restaurants and cafes around. The hotel has elevator. There is a great barber shop 30 seconds down the road from the hotel, in case you need a quick fix. We got a duplex suite, it had 3 single beds, a kitchenette, living room, a full bathroom on the first floor, a king-size double bed, a jacuzzi and toilet, and a shower box outside the toilet on the second floor. The place was enough for a family of 5, maybe even 5 adults. There was 3 of us, so we had ample space. The single beds were ok, the double bed was comfortable. Pillows could be improved, it may have given me a neck ache, but I recovered in a day or two. The room downstairs (with 3 single beds) is a made-up room, it’s difficult to explain, but seems like it wasn’t a room and that a larger living room has been converted into a smaller living room and a bed-room. There’s not much place to walk about in the tiny room, but it fits 3 people ok for a night’s sleep. There is no air-condition in this room so the room gets cold air from the air-condition in the living room. The first night we got in, the whole suite was quite warm as the air-condition wasn’t switched on. It took a bit of a time to get the living room cool down, and took almost half the night to get the room on the first floor to the temperature that was comfortable to sleep in. During the rest of the stay we let the air-condition switched on throughout the day and night and it was comfortable all over the suite to sit and sleep. House-keeping did turn the air-condition to fan a few times, but it was ok. Great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. So, the only suggestion that I can make is if the hotel can have the air-condition switched on prior to the guests’ arrival then that would make it quite welcoming and comfortable. Maybe when booking the guests can make this request.

Glass pane on desk with sharp edges and cracked glass, sliced my finger open when unpacking my things. Staff was helpful but the fact their first aid kit was out of plasters or bandages of any kind (all it contained was an antiseptic liquid) leaves a lot to be desired. Next morning we went down for breakfast to find a ridiculously poor choice of breakfast items. There was an assortment of fruit jams (but no fresh fruit whatsoever), halloumi or curd cheese, tomato, boiled egg, sliced bread - brown and white, both accompanied by an assortment of small fruit flies (I kid you not, they even had a blue light fly killer). There was a bain-marie with hot chick peas plus something I couldn't identify. Hot drinks were served by a member of staff and it was either filter coffee or tea but no milk of any kind available to whiten them. Maybe that's the reason there were no cereals available either. I have travelled a bit and had much better breakfasts for a fraction of the price they charge. Even the second worst ever breakfast I had still beat Q Hotel's offering. For a hotel classed as 4 stars which charges US$10 for breakfast that's totally unacceptable. So bad we didn't even bother going down for breakfast on our second and last day, we just checked out. I will not be staying here again. Kudos to the friendly staff, specially Tawfik, who promptly ran to a nearby chemist to get bandages and showed genuine concern for my injury due to unsafe glass pane in our room.

Enjoyed staying in this hotel, the airport pick up was extremely straight forward and much appreciated. The staff were very helpful. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the bathroom had everything you need. Had a good sea view but unfortunately the Burger King land opposite looked like a tip. The hotel was quite central and shops and the sea front were all within walking distance.

I stayed in NY hotel for three nights. The best thing of this hotel is the location, the room was clean and breakfast was complete enough and it was served until 12. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
