TL;DR: I forgot (God knows how) to cancel a 14 days stay at Carolinenhof Hotel. I notified them on the day of my scheduled arrival .I begged them to charge me 2, 3 or 4 nights but they refused and charged me *90% of the entire 14 days stay* - 662€. I had planned a trip to Berlin to meet a dear friend who now lives in Central America. We didn't know if his apartment will be big enough for the two of us, so I booked 2 hotels on Expedia. When he got his place we decided I could stay with him, and I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO CANCEL the hotels. I can’t explain why. I am usually a very responsible person, but this slipped out of my mind into a black hole. I realized I have these reservations in berlin on july 10, the day I was supposed to check in. Called Expedia immediately, and they said they would try to help. They talked to the first hotel – which kindly charged me for two nights and that was the end of it. Carolinenhof refused to Expedia’s request made on my behalf so I went there myself. I talked to two executives, who didn’t even bother to introduce themselves to me (no name tags). They told me they simply have to charge this amount and there is no debate about it. They scolded me for being irresponsible and kept explaining I had signed and agreed to this policy and this is it. I practically begged, at that time in tears, to be “fined” for 2, 3 or 4 nights – but not 90% of 14 nights. I told them it is unfair, and that I understand that this 90% cancellation policy makes sense when it comes to a weekend stay, but not two whole weeks (in July). I told them again and again that I made a mistake and fully understand that I should pay for it – but so much money is not fair. I was 2 days late canceling a 14 days stay, not a 4 days stay. If I had canceled only two days before, they wouldn’t charge a cent. When I told them I was a school teacher and can’t afford to give away 662€ for nothing, they said that a school teacher should know better and that I set a bad example to my students. They, of course, didn’t want to hear about the other hotel’s conduct with me. BTW, I asked them if they would apply this policy to a month’s stay and they answered “yes” without hesitating. I also asked If I had stayed here for a week and then tell you my plans have changed and I have to go in 2 days, I’m sure you would have said “thanks you for your stay with us” and not charge me for the entire stay? But they assured me that they would, that if a person has to cut his stay short they charge him for the full time, even with a two days’ notice before leaving, and I think anyone making reservation with them should know this. I was also told that people like me cause hotels financial damage – just the other day some businessmen booked 5 very expensive rooms and didn’t show up, and the hotel didn’t have their credit cards or anything and lost a lot of money. I said that this story makes me all the more frustrated, because I realize now I am paying for those missing bu

For the general manager to participate in the exhibition, the Haibolong Hotel was selected. In the case of deduction, there was a hint that the deduction was unsuccessful. I was worried that there was no reservation. So I asked the Ctrip staff to help the staff of the partnering website and got a good job. Solution! After the return of our manager, the hotel booked very well, the hotel location, service he is very satisfied, is a pleasant business trip!

The breakfast is relatively simple, but it is quite complete, but there are a lot of flies on the napkin, which is more appetizing. Room facilities are old, but the price is still very attractive. Convenient transportation.

Because we are two girls to go to Berlin to play, so it is quite important to stay safe. The location of this home is very good, there are subways, supermarkets, commercial streets, and Chinese restaurants (the reviews are quite high, but I did not eat). It can be considered as a quiet place. The hotel is quiet near the hotel. It will go back around 11:00 in the middle of the night. There will be no strange people wandering around. But after a five-minute ten minute walk to the commercial street, curry36 also has a branch there. The hotel looks like it will be after 3 pm, but you can leave your luggage in advance. A credit card guarantee is required before check-in, and if not, a debit card is also available. The English at the front desk is also good. (In addition, the iced peach steam in the lobby is very good) I live like a suite, 59 flat. Is the entrance to the living room? There is a sofa TV or something, going inside is a bed, a wall behind the bed is a table, you can make tea or coffee. The wardrobe is also over there. Overall it feels quite big, there are two bathrooms, the shower and the bathtub are separated in the bathroom. (The only downside is that the bath water is easy to overflow, and the bathroom is a wooden floor. It takes a long time to step on it. It feels a bit uneven.) Breakfast did not eat, so I don't know, the overall is a good hotel, not expensive, the service is not bad.

The first hotel I've ever stayed in with no tea/coffee making facilities. The room was large with nice shower room, comfortable bed though the feather pillows were like marshmallow to sleep on. We couldn't use the safe for almost 24 hours as previous customers had not left it open correctly. The lift stops between floors so you either have to carry your case up, or down steps. Quiet street, quiet hotel close to the gay district and a short walk to the shopping area with upmarket shops.

I have been visiting this hotel now for many years and it never disappoints. Since my visit last year they have modernised the breakfast buffet area which is much more user friendly, the number of staff in that area has also increased meaning items are cleared from tables quickly and efficiently and items replaced in the buffet. The room I had last year has now been refurbished and is really nice to stay in (room 217) The location of the hotel on Uhlandstrasse is ideal for anyone on a vacation in Berlin, the U Bahn is about 6 minutes walk and so are buses. Plenty of restaurants nearby and shopping. I would recommend this hotel, its in an old apartment block which I find is part of it’s charm, staff are always friendly and helpful. I will be back to stay again next year.

For the Berlin Marathon, we chose the hotel within walking distance of the Brandenburg Gate. Old German hotels, the room facilities, area, and layout are very classic, compared to many typical German-style hotels with small beds and cabins closer to the early domestic four-star hotels. Pros: Quiet, close to the park, rich breakfast, the hotel's only restaurant tastes good, the service is good, and the price is fair. Cons: No1. Not soundproof! On the first night of the marathon, there was an Arab or some banquet in the ballroom. The room on the second floor was always noisy with ding-dong music until 23:00! No2 The exhaust system is not good, the room always asks for the fume smell before and after meals. No3 As a four-star hotel, it is hard to imagine that the concierge was never seen at the door, and there was no room service or any on-site service. When I returned to the hotel after the game, I wanted to have some ice cubes and was told by the front desk that I could go to the bar on the first floor. The bar on the first floor may be understaffed and no one greet for a long time. No 4 is not close to the subway. In the end, I probably understand why there are still a lot of vacancies on the eve of the marathon, and the next marathon should be avoided.

The hotel is nice and very good. It is especially suitable for traveling with children. It is also a good choice for business trips because the floors are very high and the scenery is particularly good. It is also very close to the attractions, basically you can reach it on foot. The hotel is located less than 5 mins from the train station but in the room we had you couldn't hear it. So clean which is nothing unusual in our experience of the Motel One chain but in the current climate I believe they're going above and beyond to ensure guest safety to all practicable standards. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we had information from the receptionist about train travel and we used the guest lounge a couple of times and the staff there were courteous and cheerful despite having to wear masks constantly. I have to admit we look now for a Motel One wherever we stay as we've used them for a couple of years now and never had a bad stay. The rooms are functional, if a little sparse in places for clothes. The bathrooms are clean and a good size and so far all have had good showers in them. Plenty of information sent out when we booked given us the details of the cleaning regime and what was expected from us in the current situation and what we could expect in terms of differences to the 'norm'.

It is a small modern hostel with four rooms. We stayed (family with teenager) in 4-beds room with bathroom and refrigerator, quite spacious, with large dinning table. There is a shared kitchen, well equipped, with tea, coffee, oil, spices, you can use. Host (David) was very kind and helpful. There is a free parking all around the hotel, there was no problem finding free space (right in front of our window). Large maerkets and petrol stations near by. Excellent public transport (tram and bus) connection with the centre. Neighborhood is OK. Hostel is on the ground floor, and rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy in the morning, but not that much that it ould be something too disturbing.

Dormitory for 4 people Shower toilet Ensuite. There is a mini locker. There is a locker that can be locked under the bed. Wifi is connected even in the room. The room and the toilet are beautiful. There is also a light outlet and storage at the bedside. If it's hot, fans can borrow a deposit of 20 euros at the front desk. There is a washing machine in the basement. 3 euros for washing dryer 3 euros. Cospa is wonderful in Berlin where the accommodation fee is high.

Good location, small rooms but basic facilities and clean. It is convenient to travel, there are many attractions around, and the airport is about 26 Euros. The room booked did not include breakfast, but there was a buffet on the first floor, 12 euros for one person. To experience the local breakfast in Berlin, we chose to go out and have breakfast in the bakery. The hotel helps to make a reservation for a taxi and needs to pay for the service. The actual taxi at the entrance of the hotel is not difficult to call. When leaving the hotel, it is a black taxi. It feels like being bypassed.

A great hotel in a central location. The breakfast was great, although the atmosphere was pretty noisy taking into account the huge number of people staying at the hotel. The only disadvantage is that for parking I was not able simply to drive into the parking garage, although it says that no prior reservation is needed, so I suppose I had to call the hotel in advance and tell them I'm coming with a car. So I would advise Ctrip to update this part of the information. Nevertheless, if you want to pay 10€ instead of the 22€ a day for parking in the hotel's parking garage, you can consider the parking area at Gleisdreieck, which is around 5 minutes on foot from the hotel.

The service staff is very enthusiastic. Very clean. The hotel room is small but already prepared. The soundproofing is too bad, the movements in the hallway are clear and clear, and the walls of other rooms will be vibrated. I was scared at night. The mattress didn't seem to breathe, and it was very hot to sleep on, and didn't sleep well at night. Air conditioning is either too cold or too hot to master. I felt that the price was good before I checked in, but I really didn't rest well.

I booked a weekend away with my partner at this hotel and booked the room which had the games machine in it. We got there and it wasn’t in the room... Then the AC stopped working and I tried to call the front desk but the phone wasn’t working. So I went down to the front desk to ask for a handyman and the lady told me that a handyman would hopefully be up soon. We waited for 40 mins and I then had to walk back to the reception to be told by someone else that a handyman would not be coming but I would have to change rooms at that time of the evening. This is unacceptable. The staff was friendly so I can’t complain about their attitude. But this is still unacceptable. We got up at 11pm and drove home. And to add, this is a hotel with means there will be tourists there. Tourists usually don’t speak German. Why are all the tv stations in German?!

Breakfast is very rich, remember the same price. Be sure to arrange a high-rise and north-facing room at the front desk, because the view of the Berlin Zoo from the large window of the room is highly recommended! It can be said to be an unexpected surprise! The room was okay, meeting the price and star standards. Parking is more expensive 25 Euros per night General hotel only about 10 Euros. However, there are many parking spaces on both sides of the road at the entrance of the hotel. If you are lucky, you will find free spaces when you return at night. The hotel is not far from the crotch street. It is a ten-minute walk to Berlin's zoo and aquarium. Finally the hotel. The pool is not yet available. We spent 5 nights inThe Circus Apartments. We had booked a Duo Economy room, but that had been re-allocated, so we were upgraded to the Schroeder Duo apartment on the 1st floor (at no extra cost). This is the second time we have stayed in Circus Apartments and both times have been excellent. The apartment was spacious and nicely decorated, with a very good supply of kitchen utensils and crockery. There is a full-size cooker and oven, microwave and fridge. A free laundry is located in the building basement. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment is quiet. This apartment also has a balcony with chairs and table. The only minor drawbacks were that the shower rose could not be adjusted sufficiently to avoid splashing a considerable amount of water on the bathroom floor, and the lighting in the living area is quite dim. All staff we encountered were cheery and very helpful. The apartment location is good, being not too far from public transport stops, supermarket and other shops, and the local area is pleasant and interesting for a walk around. It is also easy to work out suitable routes to go for a run. We highly recommend Circus Apartments.

Stayed at OTA Berlin with my husband and two sons (18 and 16). We booked a studio apartment and it was a perfect base near the city for us. Huge apartment with two single beds and a double, beautiful high ceilings and very light and bright. The kitchen was very well equipped so we were able to cook breakfast every morning. We were at the back of the building, facing into the courtyard so street noise wasn’t an issue for us, although there was a very rowdy crowd staying on our last night, shouting out in the courtyard until all hours and again early in the morning. The apartment is only a 10 minute walk to Alexanderplatz and there is a U Bahn station less than five minutes walk away. There’s also a supermarket, bakery and pharmacy all nearby. We were on the third floor and there is no lift so you really get a workout! There was broken glass in the hallway on the second morning we stayed and it was still there two days later. We had been instructed on check-in to drop the two keys in the letter box in the hall when we were checking out. However as we were leaving we met an elderly man sweeping the stairs who insisted we give him the keys, I tried to explain that we would drop them in the letter box, as instructed, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer so we hesitatingly handed them over, hoping he was an employee!! The only thing that bothered me about the apartment was that there was no sign of any fire safety equipment anywhere in the building, apart from a fire blanket next to the cooker. No sign of a fire extinguisher or fire hose anywhere in the apartment or in the public areas, I was surprised that an apartment could be rented out to the public without stringent fire regulations? Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable stay.
