4.41km from Feast on the HillDespite High St. location, difficult to find on dark rainy night as set well back, with no visible sign from road. Inside it’s a bit grim and obviously not somewhere you’d leave valuables. The doors are slammed throughout night, jarring the paper thin walls as guests (detainees?) shamble in and out to smoke either by the entrance or outside the window - not just nicotine either. There’s also some kind of loud washing machine spinning late/early. Trying to sleep at 12:10am I had to yell to stop letting the door slam shut. Walls are so thin I could hear guy farting in adjacent room. The room is so dimly lit I couldn’t even read. Bed is prison issue. There’s a shower cubicle, but there was more water pouring out from the broken flexi-hose than shower head and with no cold water feed was scalding within seconds (see pic of tap on but no water). Not even basic shelf for toiletries and dead light/shaving socket. Followed by no breakfast whatsoever - not even a brewed coffee & pastry to take away ‘due to C19’ despite currently advertised on Booking.com as ‘breakfast included’ so WTF? Don't believe the shill reviews. I couldn’t wait to get out.
