At Christmas eve we had not planned a formal dinner, but we decided at the last minute to go out to eat and chose the restaurant of San Giors hotel that is quite near home. I was expecting to enter an old, traditional inn, with old furniture and suffused lightning. We found instead a pleasant, bright piace with nice waiters, ready to any request. There was no special Christmas menu, but a choice between meal and fish menus, preceded by an amuse- bouche with paté and a refined sauce. Everything was good and well-finished; the desserts excellent and the final cost very reasonable. A nice surprise and a place to suggest to friends....

The hotel is diagonally opposite Dora Station. very convenient. Not far from the two train stations, a few bus stops will do. Buses cost 2 Euros. The front desk speaks English with Italian accents. We arrived late but the reception was still very nice. The room was clean, drinks in the small refrigerator and the price list was on the bedside table. When you check out, she will ask you what you drank, and then check out together. There are more types of hotel breakfast than other cheap hotels in Italy, and they taste good. There are many fruits, fruit salads, and green salads. There are more types of bread. Other toast cheese ham and scrambled eggs should be considered standard in the European buffet breakfast, and there is also a poached egg. Drinks, first milk and various coffees, orange juice. Yogurt and cereals. See a lot of family trips. There are also many Chinese.

This B&B has very nice landlords and the location is at walking distance from the main city center. We took the bus from the airport and walked the last bit - that proved too far. Going back we used the service of the landlord for €20 which was very convenient. There is a lift going up to the 4th floor, it's small but comes very appreciated. We struggled with the mattress and got sore backs, otherwise this B&B would be excellent.

I stayed at the NH Torino Santo Stefano at a recent visit and the location is excellent, with very easy access to central Turin. The hotel is welcoming and offers good price considering its location. The rooms are well equipped with WiFi working well and freely available - they offer a paid "high speed Internet", which I personally think should be the standard offered. Breakfast was well presented with a reasonable range of options. The staff were very helpful in offering suggestions on the best route to explore Turin and some good places to stop for a drink/food. Under current circumstances everyone were wearing face masks and hand sanitisers were available around the hotel.

Again i stayed at this small but very comfortable and well staffed hotel....not fancy but every comfort and service is offered by a most caring staff. The receptionists are so helpful and take care of your every need. The breakfast is one of the best i have experienced even at 4 star hotels...home made cakes and breads... organic yoghurts...great coffee. All day you can order coffee or a cocktail. The bedrooms are not large but beds are comfortable and each day caringly spruced up as are the bathrooms. I recommend this hotel highly.

If I lived permanently in Turin I’d be very happy to live here. I have now stayed twice, on my own in mid-winter and with my wife in spring. The aparthotel is close to Porta Nuova station and within easy distance of all the visitor attractions of central Turin. Do make sure you understand reception opening times and note that they’re closed between 12 noon and 2pm. They will store luggage. If you arrive from Corso V Emmanuel in the dark, look for the arched entrance just before the bank. If the gates are closed there’s an entry phone to the side. If they’re open, go through into the courtyard, turn left and the door to the apartments (another entry phone) is in front of you. Have faith, the system works! There can be a slightly edgy feel after dark in the surrounding streets but no more so than near many big railway terminals. Inside, there was slight noise from the flat above, but I guess that’s a hazard of apartment blocks anywhere. My apartment was peaceful (it faced the courtyard) secure, warm, very comfortable, spacious and had just the right equipment for self-catering. Groceries and fresh fruit and veg can be bought just around the corner. Within a 10 minute walk there’s a small supermarket that’s open even on Sunday evenings. There are plenty of restaurants too, and most of them won’t break the bank. Highly recommended.

We came here for a short break. Although we arrived near ten in the morning the manager gave us a free coffee and croissant when we were looking at the breakfast area. The room was on the fourth floor of an apartment block and was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was buffet and there was an ample choice. Location was excellent being near the city centre. The only thing which we found lacking was the WiFi. Although there were ample access points we could only connect to one of them.

The hotel is in a great location as well as in a quiet spot. Only minutes walk from the train station and in walking distance to everything. The hotel staff were very welcoming and Covid protocols were in place so we felt safe. The rooms very clean and comfortable with a large and comfy bed. The air conditioning worked well and was appreciated during the hot summer days in August. The breakfast offered a good selection. Coffee was only ok but, overall, the breakfast was enjoyable. This was our first stay in an Italian HotelBB and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We have previously stayed in various HotelBBs in France bt on this trip we ventured a little further and tried one in Italy and one in Germany. The on-site parking was in an underground secure car park which costs an extra few euros per night. There is also ample free parking outside on the street. There is a supermarket next door which we found very useful and also a nice restaurant a couple of doors down, which incidentally gives a discount for people staying at HotelBB. The room was bigger than we expected. The facilities were very good. Breakfast choice was great with slightly different regional variation of what was on offer. It seems the Italians eat cold meats and cakes/doughnuts for breakfast! - Definitely coming here again!! Lovely helpful staff. Just a little reminder for visitors to Italy: Beware of the local Italian drivers... they have no road sense at all!

A train transfer in Turin turned into an unplanned overnight when our train from Lyon arrived 8 minutes after our connection had left (sigh). A quick Trip Advisor search popped up Hotel Principi D’Acaja with a reasonable price for a couple tired souls. What a serendipitous surprise!!! This lovely hotel is a step back into Italy during the early 20th century—talk about experiencing old world charm! 20 foot ceilings, a huge chandelier in our room, parquet floor in our room and inlaid mosaics in the public areas...this is how I would picture graceful, old world Italy. Bonus! The room had AC, which seems to be a rarity. The bathroom is was adequately large and the shower was small—typical for what I had seen everywhere else. Breakfast was serve-yourself in what must have been an intimate dining or breakfast room; the food and coffee was European tasty, a good start to our day. I don’t speak Italian but there were no problems with the younger family members who manned the desk. I would gladly choose this hotel again. Kudos to the owners who allowed us to leave our luggage by the desk (check out is 10:30) while we went out exploring—our rebooked train would not be available until 3p.

The good: - Very nice and uber-helpful staff, special thanks to Cristina who patiently made multiple phone calls during which she acted as Italian-English translator between the health care personnel on the phone and me, and as a result of this compassionate effort managed to get a medical doctor to see me in my room as my blood pressure was going crazy up; - The beautiful decoration full of magnificient paintings that looked like if Van Gogh had had the hedonist joyful life of a Casanova in the age of Humphrey Bogart, instead of being a depressed loner in the desolated Dutch countryside - The super-cute interior garden where on can sit to work in the calm or relax - The room small but cozy and comfortable enough - The bathroom also small but fully functional and squeaky clean - The breakfast, basic but with a very good expresso machine and delicious cookies and brownies and it costs only 4 euros - The location, being at walking distance from the Porta Susa railway station, supermarkets and on the same block as the delicious Kumbo Japanese-Thai food bar with its amazingly comprehensive menu - The comfortable bedding; - The largely silent room, though one can hear some car noise in the beginnng of the night; - The fast enough and always up wifi. The not so good: many lights in the room, but all very dim so the overall result is too dark. If they equiped the room with more powerful light bulbs, a mini-fridge and gave every client an individual password to provide minimal security for internet banking it would be perfect. Nevertheless this hotel will be my first choice if I ever comeback to Turain, as it is outstanding value for the money.

The Roma e Rocco is a surprisingly large hotel, much bigger than I had anticipated and very well positioned immediately opposite Turin’s main railway station. The reception area and hallways give the impression of an establishment from a different age which is not a criticism. My room was less old fashioned. It was on the small side but bigger than others I have had and a very high ceiling and a balcony with park view made it seem more spacious than it was. The bed was like an elongated double – not excessively wide but longer than usual and reasonably comfortable. There was also a small desk, armchair and a shelving unit and hanging space screened with a curtain. There was a good size fridge but no kettle. The room had many power outlets including several conveniently located for the desk. The very clean bathroom was small but adequate with a shower but no tub. The only odd thing was loud turquoise colour tiles on the floor that seemed to have no relationship to the rest of the room’s decoration. I struggled a bit with the wifi with a non-password protected login that didn’t work well at all. When I complained the receptionist helped connect me to a password protected version that worked fine. Then, just before check-out, I discovered a small piece of paper in the key envelope that included login credentials and a password. The person who checked me in had not mentioned that it was included with the key. The hotel was very quiet, in fact I never saw or heard another guest. It was also very well priced which may have been due to a lack of guests because of the coronavirus pandemic. Overall, the Roma e Rocco worked well for me and I would be happy to return.

Stayed here for one night with a tour group. Large, modern reception area with comfortable seating area. The lady behind the desk was miserable and not very welcoming but the gentleman was very pleasant. We had a twin bedded room. Not a large room but adequate for one night. Very white, sp**** and modern. Tv, free WiFi, no kettle, fridge and mini bar. Small bathroom with good towels, plenty of hot water, good shower. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of continental foods. We had a group dinner and the food was very good. We only stayed in Turin one night - and we happen to be the only guests in this lovely, quaint and quite historic building and B & B. Francesca met us upon arrival and was very gracious and hospitable. She provided some information on sights to see for our short time that afternoon, and before my sons headed to a concert that evening. She even provided guidance as to the best way for them to make the return trip to the B & B that evening!! What a delightful place which was located right near the train station, which for us this was a must as we were catching an early train the next morning. I would not hesitate to stay here again!! Thank you Francesca!! ps- Torino is a lovely city that I think many tourists pass by - it's worth making a stop to visit and stay at Residenza Torino Crocetta - hands down!!

This hotel checks all the boxes - location, service, cleanliness, value, breakfast. In addition to that, there is a shopping complex above the facility and the stay includes free access to the Fiat test track on the roof. DO NOT PASS THIS UP! It’s so cool!! The automobile museum is right across the street, the metro is practically right outside the door and they have the most adorable selection of dog food and treats for your canine companion. When I return to Torino I’ll be staying here again. One item to note for North American travellers - bed sizes are different here. A North American double is called a Queen here and a North American Queen is called a king. So if you want a standard Queen-sized bed you need to ask for a king. (We were told our room had two queen-sized beds and they were actually doubles). Room for improvement- they still provide mini toiletries in plastic bottles and there’s no recycling in the room - easily circumvented with our own environmentally-friendly travel habits.

Overall a good experience. Cons: I really don't like these small Italian bathroom cubicles, and this hotel had particularly small ones. Finding a parking space nearby - mission impossible. The hotel has a parking right in front of the hotel, costs €16 per day, or in a garage nearby, costs €22 per day. Availability is known only upon arrival and it is not possible to book in advance. The hotel has a patio, but alas, no chairs or tables (maybe due to the season I was at, end of September). My room had an electric kettle, but alas, only instant coffee, no tea. Coffee machine in the breakfast room makes a terrible cappuccino. Air conditioner in the room didn't work (I was told that it doesn't work in the whole hotel because of the season, so during the day it became very warm). Pros: Very nice staff. My room had a small balcony. Proximity to main attractions. 2-3 minutes walking from the main train station. Nice breakfast. Very clean. The room had an electric kettle and a mini-bar (yes, I already stayed at hotels that didn't have it, so I can appreciate it). Overall it was a nice stay and the hotel answered my expectations.

A serviced apartment near the small train station, with an elegant environment and warm reception. The room is fully equipped with a full set of candy for reception, two complimentary bottles of water, and a box of toiletries (wet wipes, ginseng shower gel, hand cream, cotton swab, soap) for free. There are pots and pans in the kitchen, microwave ovens, cutlery, refrigerators, detergents, sponges, but there is no seasoning in the seasoning tank. In other words, if you cook yourself, you need to buy all the ingredients. In addition, the front desk stipulates that if you want to use the kitchen, you need to clean it yourself (brushing tableware), otherwise you will pay a cleaning fee of 10 euros. I booked this hotel for a solo trip to Turin with the idea of using the city as a base to visit the surrounding area. Location: The hotel is situated on the 2nd floor of a beautiful arcaded shared-purpose building on a main avenue surrounded by bars, cafes and some shops. The area is safe, well-lit at night, well-transited by cars and people well into the evening and right next door to the XVIII Diciembre metro station (linking you directly to Porta Nuova train station, the busiest in Italy, in 5 minutes) and 2 minutes walk from the Porta Susa rail station (the 2nd busiest in the country). The airport bus that I took stops at the bus station right outside Porta Susa station too! So for the purpose of travel is it absolutely fantastic. If you come back late from travelling into the rail station nearby you feel perfectly safe walking back to the hotel. Walking from the hotel to the centre (even though it's fairly central anyway) instead of taking hte metro takes about 20-30 mins via large avenues and through grand squares, or via quaint alleys if you prefer, with plenty of cafés, supermarkets (Carrefour Express etc.) and restaurants on the way. Entering the hotel: Reception is also open 24 hours, though the shared building's large front door is locked from about midnight. However, you can simply ring the doorbell and they'll buzz you in. Entering the hotel is done by a large and airy staircase or by a small and rather old looking elevator. People with claustrophobia who are intimidated by enclosed stairways shouldn't have a problem at all, but you need to ring a doorbell to enter reception on the 2nd floor (which in my view further adds to the security of the location). Reception is clean, bright and friendly and feels very accessible thanks to being right around the corner from the rooms and because of the highly friendly staff who make you feel completely at ease. They all speak perfect English and seem proud of their establishment. They are more than happy to print out tickets etc. for you too. Reception features a comfortable sofa, a book stand with interesting books on the city's history, and a fridge cabinet which you can buy water and soft drinks from (1.50 euros for a 1.5 litre bottle of water, though the tap water in the bathroom is drinkable too, and the city is absolutely peppered with fresh, clean public drinking fountains). One thing to mention is that the room keys are not keycards and are physical keys, which you must hand back into reception whenever you leave the hotel, and then request when you come back. It was first a bit odd for me but it makes perfect sense for security. I quickly adapted to it and it didn't cause me any hassle at all. The room: The room I booked was a single bed room. The ceiling was very high above the bed area (though there was a glass block window in what appears to be an attic but it didn't really bother me). The room had a very good remote controlled air conditioning system which

I had a reservation at this hotel for June 2020 and, since it was closed due to the pandemic, I moved my reservation for August 2020, in an attempt to take the original trip, but it was not possible either. I have been asking for a refund to the hotel manager, Fabrizio Musso, since then, but he has been creating difficulties. First, he asked me to be patient and seek for another date, and I did. But it is clear that I cannot take the trip this season again and I do not know when I will be able to take it, if ever. It is not fair that my money remains frozen with him while hotel costs increase every season. Then, he said my reservation does not allow refunds, but this kind of reservation says refunds are not allowed if I cancel or change my reservation, which was not the case, since the hotel was closed and did not provide the hired services. Finally, he created one more excuse saying that the Italian legislation does not allow for refunds. Once again, this is not true because it gave an alternative for the refund, a credit voucher for twelve months, only an alternative. And it has been more than twelve months now. And I have received my reimbursement from other hotels in Italy with reservation for this same period. Now he says the hotel is in bad financial situation, another big concern for customers, and does not answer my emails. I do not recommend this hotel at all due to the bad treatment received through my emails and lack of transparency. Please, avoid this hotel.

You really couldn’t ask for a better, more central location. As its name suggests, the Attic is on the top floor of a building - not far from the main railway station. You enter via a huge, wooden front door, then cross the entrance hall to a glass door which allows entry to the lift. Up to the top - then a flight of stairs - and you discover a clean, friendly, well-planned hostel. My room had sloping ceilings due to being in the roof space. Communal showers were slightly temperamental but adequate. I enjoyed my 2-night stay and would certainly return if I go back to this interesting, rather grand city with its excellent opera house.

My wife and I, plus small dog, stayed in an "economic" double in the hotel for one night. Fair to say that finding the hotel in such a big city is a bit of a challenge, especially in a Camper Van ! Much better to arrive at the hotel in daylight. I booked a garage position for the van which I think is worth the charges. The receptionist Ica was more than helpful, and welcoming. The double bedroom was spacious, and very clean. The kingsize bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom, with large towels, was perfect. An adequate breakfast completed an enjoyable stay. My husband and I chose this hotel for our one night stay in Turin for Friday night dinner at the Whist Club and Saturday’s AGM and lunch at the Unione Industriale a Torino. We had Priviledged rates for. Junior Suite as members of a historical association and upon our arrival we were upgraded to a Suite, so it seems at the 807. Due to COVID restrictions, we had a long wait for check-in upon arrival. Room had nice views over the city overlooking the Station and the mountains (would have been nicer to see Palazzo Reale and the Mole Antonelliana, on the other side). We were there for such a short time given our tight schedules that we did not have a chance to visit the SPA. Returning from our dinner, had a flute of Prosecco at the ground floor bar. Breakfast on Saturday morning was pleasant even though a platter of Salmon had an extra cost. Nice room, bathroom, changing room and study/lounge area. I was able to continue Smartworking also there after hours already online on the train journey. Bathroom had a few faults: we had the waste paper bin replaced as the pedal was broken. We mentioned at checkout that by the bidet the ceramic soap holder was chipped and its brass hook was missing a nob. The pillows were too hard, but that is personal taste. We had to way a little while for Check-out but all on all a pleasant stay. Would suggest to stay at least two nights with all there is too see in Turin but this was not our occasion.

Stayed here for 5 nights in September. We were lucky enough to get room 701 which had a great terrace with views over the city and alps with a table and chairs which made our stay special. Room itself was a good size for a hotel of this type and well appointed. Hotel is well situated near station and just over 10 minutes to city centre. Plenty of public transport access around the hotel meant full access to the whole city was easy. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was efficient and room was always spotless. Breakfast might be a weak point, but at 3 euros a day it is still excellent value. Would both recommend and come back here.

Upon booking I had high expectation con I’m from Torino and I saw this hotel during construction - it was the talk of the town Finally I got the chance to spend 3 nights there specifically to try it out and .. Cold environment (also literally) and almost absent customer experience - distance and coldness from everyone Amazingly poor maintenance of the room: shower stuck by calcare and leaking everywhere, room cold, temperature button not working properly, one single wardrobe 50cm wide with one shelf, curtains not sliding and one off, only one set of towels (we had to call, ask for the second set and the shower gown), Nespresso machine not working properly - superior room w view Breakfast low /,average quality sadly presented The very young stuff trying to make out their best out of good will (a plus goes to them for the effort) but too young to deliver any sort of customer experience and kinda lost, expected by this hotel The parking 30eur / day A THEFT - UN FURTO soooooooo expensive A true pity, I would not recommend neither return ! The dinner was good and the view of piazza carlina cool but for these two items there is no need to stay at NH, you just need to stand in the piazza admire it and try the many good resto in Torino w warm customer experience from the locals ! AH the bed and linen comfy ++ Arrivederci !
