2.08km from FinkenbergStayed here for 6 nights for a work-related event. Very much enjoyed it. Location is in a lovely, old suburb of Cologne dating from the mid-17th C. Biking/walking paths lead straight to downtown in one direction or country-side in the other. Approx 20 Euro for a taxi into town. Lots of places to eat within 500 m of the hotel. Staff were outstanding 24 hrs a day and very helpful with all issues or concerns. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was solid from a European standards point of view and included a very good selection of fruit, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses and even eggs and bacon. It included nicely set tables with proper linen. A very good deal at 7.50 Euro on top of my room tariff. Decent air conditioning in the room. The laundry service was first rate, and very much appreciated as my bag was delayed by 48 hrs. It was clear that owners, management and staff all take a great deal of pride in their service.

4.25km from FinkenbergYes, this hotel is not the one you want, if you are in town to sightsee. It is a little out of bounce - but for my purpose it was the best choice. The building looks like it was something other than a hotel - but the inside is so neatly kept and the staff is so friendly and helpful - you'd miss out on a warm welcome to Cologne. The room rates are perfect, the breakfast is good - the rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfy and cosy. No complaints. I didn't even hear the planes crossing - windows closed. Can't speak for the summer though. Other than that: Would go back.
4.39km from FinkenbergWent here for a midweek with my girlfriend. Despite the staff being very friendly there were several things that were rather dissappointing. First off we had booked a 2 person bed but instead we got two single beds pushed against eachother. Our shower was flooding the first day we tried to use it, and the sink had a very tiny stream of cold water but regular warm water. This was fixed the same day but should have been working in the first place. Furthermore the room was very noisy, at some point we heard the phone notification of the room next door and our room was next to the road which we could constantly hear. The shower heater was on a very high setting and could not be adjusted which made it so the room was very hot and openingen a window for a long period of time wasn't nice because of the road. Finally when we were about to leave i checked under the bed. Apparently there had been a pink condom under the bed during our entire stay which leads me to believe they had not cleaned under the bed. Altogether if you simply want a bed and a shower this hotel is fine, so long as you don't mind a noisy room.

Breakfast is average, variety is okay, there is no omelette for making omelette, fool! Almost all cold, the orange juice is not as good as on the plane, and the bread and sausages are not bad. Don't talk about the service, it's pretty bad. The first few people are all noisy, red ears and red ears, just to charge more! No matter what country people are noisy, this is what happened. It ’s raining all day, just ask if there is an umbrella in the room, say no, there is nowhere, not even the front desk, everything is right, which is a 5 star hotel?
Cologne City Center
Hotel location is very good, from Cologne Cathedral, about 10 minutes walk from Cologne Central Railway Station, many restaurants downstairs, walking distance to the nearby shopping center, the bathroom is small, but very clean, just the shower area is small People who are overweight may not turn well, breakfast is rich, there is no problem to eat, the overall price is not bad.
The hotel room booked is a quadruple room with upper and lower bunks. The room is small in size and is actually a sleeping function. Bedding supplies are charged separately. If you want to save costs, you need to bring your own sheets and quilts. There is a charge to collect at the front desk, and you have to make your own bed. The hotel is far from the railway station, about 20 to 30 minutes on foot. There is a toilet and a bath room in the room, which are separated separately, which is more convenient.

Hotel location is very convenient, the room is very clean, next to the commercial street
The hotel is relatively partial, only the LIDO supermarket is around. If you go to a larger shopping mall, you need to walk for 20 minutes or take a taxi, but the environment is better, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is Western-style, and we may not be used to eating.
This hotel is very cool and trendy, it's different from the norm which is nice, and the room itself was interesting, what with the open plan bathroom, furnishings, colours etc. I'm only giving three stars as I feel that the amenities in this place are basic, the rooms are rather compact, and the customer service was lacking. I booked this hotel as it advertised parking, fair enough, I should have contacted them prior to find out what the exact terms of this parking was. I arrived at reception and asked a member of staff where the parking lot was, he told me very blunty that it was full, and that we'd have to park in the garage opposite which costed 20 euros per day. The garage was esentially a building site and didn't feel like the best place to leave ones car. Again, not the hotels fault, it just seemed like the staff there really couldn't have cared less that we just drove for seven hours and had to lug up our luggage from a garage. There was no kettle in the room, which I do understand is common in Europe but I also add there was no coffee machine either. The contents of the minibar were free which was a nice touch. The aircon system wasn't great, with only one button on the whole interface, so it wasn't clear at all how it turn it on, turn it off, change the settings, or control the temperature. I called reception to ask for help with this (as the aircon was not staying on) and I was told something like "have you tried to do this/that/the other?" I said yes, that it still wasn't working, and they seemed reluctant to come and assist. I hate that there were items in the room that the hotel was trying to sell to you, such as bags and speakers and such. Kind of a capitalist nightmare. I've already paid for the room, what more could you want?!
There is an underground parking lot for parking, it is chargeable, the hotel breakfast is OK, we live in the newly renovated one, the window is just across the church, very beautiful, the room is very new and very good.
We arrived at the hotel Saturday afternoon and their mist have been a water damage in two of their rooms and would we like to stay at their sister property with an upgrade and free parking in Deutz a bit farther out. We said we didn’t and felt a bit apprehensive with what room we’d end up in. Room 45 was lovely, looked just like on the picture was away from the main street and had a little balcony. Staff was charming and helpful and the whole hotel has had a very nice makeover recently. Two small things though: There’s no air con only a ceiling fan so in summer it might get a bit hot. Also there is a light-switch integrated in the headboard of the bed about 25 cm above the mattress, so if you move around the bed at night the lights are bound to come on occasionally. This are minor details but would definitely come back.

The hotel is right next to the Cologne Cathedral, and there is a great restaurant downstairs, next to the train station, the traffic is very convenient. The room you stayed in was very spacious and you could spread out your suitcase at will. Drinks in the minibar are free and good value for money. The reception staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. The bellmen are also friendly. Parents stayed very satisfied.
Located two long blocks from the Piusstrasse U-bahn station, this is in a very quiet part of the city, a family run hotel. Very friendly desk people, who also serve as the bartenders. The hotel itself is small, but it is very uncommercial, certainly not like the large chain hotels. Our room was called "double comfort". It was effectively two twin beds with firm mattresses and individual duvets on each. Our bathroom should an efficient use of space. A very modern shower, no bathtub. Breakfast at the hotel was €9.5, not a feast by any means, but satisfactory. Windows open in in, but their movement is limited. We never felt anything but secure, even with the open window on 3rd floor. Tiny elevator, two people with one suitcase each with almost fill it. We would certainly come back again if we come to Cologne.

We arrived there early afternoon, but nobody was there. I had to call a posted number through my American cell phone (thus an international call) to get the hotel manager to check us in. Other than this I must say that the hotel is in excellent shape: very clean, and recently updated. Rooms are small, but comfortable. We had no issues with noise. The nights were very quiet despite the location in the center of the city. Just don't expect any service. It seems the hotel is run by one single hotel manager, and he tries to be everywhere and do everything. We asked for a second key so that my partner could go out independently. We were told there is no second key for guests available because they get lost etc. - I'm not interested in this, I just needed a second key. Also: the bar at the entrance is a bit obscure. It was never open, which is probably a good thing as it was very quiet. No breakfast offered (which is not a proble as there are bakeries with very good coffee and pastries right around the corner). If you need a comfortable place for a couple of days for sightseeing in downtown Cologne, this hotel is ideal. Just don't expect any hotel service of any kind.

Good location very friendly staff, new and well equipped room. Enjoyed my staying very much, thank you...
On the whole I am very satisfied and can recommend it for short business trips and especially because of the good location.
Similar to the domestic five-star hotel, the service staff is very warm, we have 3 breakfasts, extremely rich and delicious, the room decoration is very simple and bright, the facilities are good. 3 people live, good value for money, the sofa bed can be taken out into a big bed, very comfortable.
Just come back from here and what a find, the owners can't do enough for you, great little hotel with spacious rooms which also has a drinks and food bar with beer garden, there are no drinks facilities in the rooms but that didn't bother me and i'm sure they would sort something out for you if asked, bus stop right outside and its only 7 mins to Porz Wahn town and train station then only 10 mins by train to get into the centre of Cologne.. nice hotel nice owners.. i would highly recommend..

We booked this last minute after arriving in Cologne from Antwerp. We arrived at the hotel earlier than scheduled and were going to ask if we could just leave our luggage there until later that day, but the lady told us we could check in. This was a nice surprise after travelling for hours. We couldn’t book any specific room, but we managed to get the room that my girlfriend wanted: The Deep Sea room! The rooms themselves are pretty basic but the artwork makes them so exciting. It featured a huge water bed in the form of a sea shell and the ceiling was wavy. As well as this, the rooms have en-suites, TV’s, iPad/tablets so that you can access the internet. The location of the hotel is perfect, a short walk (10 minutes) to the Cathedral, Hohenzollern Bridge (the lock bridge), central station etc. There are also a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby.

Breakfast is OK, there are scrambled eggs that Chinese people like to eat.
We arrived early on our arrival date and were able to use the spa facilities immediately. Great to start to unwind after a red-eye start. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. A stay here is for the facilities and not the room. All staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The Spa is fantastic with a large variety of saunas, a steam bath, jacuzzis, an indoor pool and a really warm outdoor brine pool (which is best after dark). Typically for Germany the saunas etc are nude and mixed. Most pool users are nude too. In fact someone wearing swimwear looks really out of place, so when in Colgne... Not going to suit if you're uncomfortable with your own or other people's nudity. We had breakfast one morning. It was good quality and very substantial. If your looking for the typical Irish or UK fry up you won't find it. Would recommend packing your own pool shoes. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to main shopping precinct and 15-20 minutes from the Cathedral. There is also a free Parkrun every Saturday morning at 9am (sharp!) In the nearby Nagasaki-Hiroshima park (a little over 1km from hotel). Would highly recommend this hotel for a total chill out break - we'll be back!
No breakfast, extra need, hotel for business trip, close to the convention center is the only feature Hotel room is simple and concise, to meet functional needs

My second stay at this beautiful hotel and yet again I could not have been happier. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with friendly smiles and a helpful hand with our bags. We were then given some general information about reception times and breakfast options. Our room was perfect! We were booked into a regular room with an ensuite bathroom and I was quite impressed by the size compared to other hotels I've stayed at. The modern bathroom (with an amazing shower) has everything you need including lovely fluffy towels. A separate changing area gives space to put down your bags and a small couch/chair to contemplate which outfit will work for the day. The bed is super comfortable and the blockout curtains were great for sleeping in a bit. Thank you so much for the KitKat you left on the bed for us. I love that personal touch! Breakfast was amazing. They are very focused on hygiene which I truly appreciate. On arrival at breakfast hand sanitizer was available and we were shown what was on offer. Various breads, cold cuts, eggs, bacon, cereals and cheeses as well as various coffees to choose from. We did not leave hungry! Something that this hotel does very well is their personal touches that they add to everything from the information at the breakfast table, the KitKat on the bed, the personal welcome note (also on the bed) and the delicate/efficient/professional way they are handling the hygiene and sanitizing regulations. Thank you for going out of your way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Breakfast is good, parking is convenient, you can park to the 24-hour parking lot about 50 meters in front. Walk through the main street within 10 minutes, you can go to the cathedral, wait for the cathedral lights to take a picture at night and then walk back to the hotel, you will not feel deserted.
This hotel is located on a nice quiet side street walking distance from the train station and the cathedral (as well as the cathedral Christmas Market if you are there during that time of year). The reception staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and modern. We had a room overlooking the street but it was extremely quiet at night. Great buffet breakfast in the morning with plenty of choices. There is a bar in the lobby - my husband was not impressed with the red wine but the white wine was quite good and even if a glass cost 6 euros it was a large portion. One thing they could do is better check their supplies as one night when we stopped at the bar before heading to our hotel rooms they had to say 'no' to a lot of our requests because they had run out (for instance Amaretto, Baileys). Minor detail though. There is on site parking but you cannot reserve in advance (I think it is 19 euros per night) - if you arrive by car you just check with reception to see if there is still room in the garage (we counted about 16 parking slots in the garage when we went to collect the car at the end of our stay). Overall I think this hotel is great and highly recommend.
The room is OK, basically in Europe, there is a table for you to put things, there is a kitchen, but for a day when you live at zero, you can't use it.
Like the other reviewer I was here on business for 3 days. This was one of the most relaxing hotel stays I have and in quite awhile. Communication from the hotel after I booked the room was top notch, everything was well communicated in advance. Please make sure you reserve parking as trying to find a spot in the area can take awhile as its a residential area with very crowded streets. The rooms are beautiful, well decorated, and very clean. The room came with a small minibar of snacks and drinks which was appreciated. The wifi is pretty good, much faster than many of the big name hotels I stay at. Then, of course, I had the whirlpool tub, which after a long day is a pretty sweet way to relax. The room looks like it has been recently renovated as the fixtures are all relatively new. The bathroom floor is heated and the walk in shower with raintree is large with great water pressure. The surrounding neighborhood has many options for dining. There is also a number of grocery stores just one block over. This may become my new go to when I am in Koln!
Stayed here for 6 nights for a work-related event. My wife and I visited the restaurant attached to the hotel, for our wedding anniversary, and had a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, and you could see by the care taken with every detail that they chefs are top rate. The range of meal choices was just right to give variety but focus on quality and matching with excellent wines. The atmosphere is lovely and warm. But what really impressed us was the kindness and generosity of the staff, who went out of their way to make it a very special night for us.
It is very convenient to attend the exhibition, very close to the exhibition, 5 minutes walk, there is a supermarket in the middle. There are free water and oranges and apples in the lobby. The disadvantage is that it is too close to the train, and those who are afraid of noise are carefully selected!
The location of the hotel is quite good, 10-15 minutes walk from Cologne Cathedral and the city centre! The overall environment and service is worse than the previous 4 star hotel apartments in Frankfurt and Berlin! First of all, there is no toiletries (this can be understood), even the tea bags of instant coffee bags are not available (all the previous 4 star hotels are complete); secondly, the early check-in must be 25 euros, asking for a quiet room inside the room ➕ 10 ohms 🤪This reminds me of Spring Airlines in an instant. However, this is a 4 star hotel. It was also a thing that was never encountered in a German hotel of the same level. I should not choose this hotel again next time.
As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I felt the enthusiasm of a grandfather who helped parking and deliver luggage. He introduced a lot of things in Cologne to us. It really helped us a lot. I did n’t eat breakfast when I saw it. I can see it directly in the room. The clone cathedral is still very good. The air conditioner is easy to use. On such a cold day, the air conditioner is still warm. After staying for three days, the free water was only given for one day. Finally, I paid an extra 25 euros to get it back.

I came to Germany for surgery so I wanted to find a hotel that was clean and had facilities for cooking. Upon arrival the room I had booked didn't have a kitchen even though it was shown on the photos nor did it have towels so I couldn't take a shower. I called the number I was given and spoke to Daniel who was a pleasure to talk to at 1am and he changed the room for me. When I arrived back to the hotel after spending a night in hospital they had changed the room and moved my luggage as Daniel told me they would. At this point I couldn't move from the bed so it wasn't until my boyfriend arrived that we realised there was nothing to cook with. We had one deep pan and nothing to clean the dishes. This is something you'll have to buy yourself... The kettle was full of limescale and there was no tea or coffee which I thought this was always something hotels offer? One evening my boyfriend was in the kitchen reading his book when he heard something drop to the floor and saw a rat running around the kitchen. Not something you want when you're trying to keep infection levels low. We called again and spoke to Laura who changed our room instantly. We moved down to the first floor from being on the fourth and noticed all the mousetraps in the rooms were full of dust and clearly not doing their job. Not ideal if you come with children and they get curious touching them. We was told it probably got in from leaving the door open to the terrace....? Outside of the window there was a dead mouse also so obviously it must be a problem. The whole time we was in this room our bed sheets wasn't changed once and the only person you saw in the hotel was the cleaner who didn't speak English or German. We had to ask him 3 times for extra toilet paper and it seems all he did was refold the duvet and sweep the floor. Regarding the situation with the rat we was offered a voucher to come again for free but we declined as we wasn't there on vacation in the first place, didn't plan on going back nor would we want to stay in their hotel again, I asked for an alternative compensation but didn't get a reply. The staff were wonderful though. Both Daniel and Laura were very helpful but it seems management need to make some big changes to the way they run the hotel. The way it is now I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone.
