|0.87km from city centerThis is the second time to use it. It was renovated and became pretty beautiful. The surrounding area was convenient and comfortable. Room WiFi is also connected. Just mosquitoes come in. I was burning mosquito coils in the Air conditioned room.

Great location, about 20 minutes walk into the city, but with the lovely area of Hoole just around the corner. Spotlessly clean accommodation in a beautiful victorian house, for our stay beautifully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast delicious, good selection and the full English was very tasty.

|0.76km from city centerCheck in process was quite smooth. Arrived at around 1pm but was told rooms were not ready. Managed to get the rooms at around 2.30pm after having lunch.
Rooms and in-room fixtures were very old, damaged and scratched in many places, and could be cleaner. Bathtub was cracked and chipped in places, and there was a lingering odour.
There were visible stains on the sofa and tears on bedsheets, with sand on the side tables.
Pillows were still firm/fluffy so that’s a positive.
Resort facilities are great for young children, with multiple swimming pools and water slides. Small lounge area for infants/toddlers is great too, but is unfortunately not kept clean. The no food/drink rule is not enforced, and we saw a kid spill coffee in the play area. There were mosquitos as well.
Food at the garden cafe is mediocre at best. The lunch bento set serving size is small. Breakfast buffet had a decent selection of Asian food, with basic pastries/bread options. Sigi’s was decent for dinner - pictures of the gnocchi and squid ink pasta below.

We were given a room on the 3rd floor extreme left of hotel, turned out to be old, wet carpets from people returning from pool, dirty lift. The room was also run down and we had some bites over the night. Had to go to dr in the morning. Complained and was moved to floor 5 right side of hotel. This room was exceptionally clean and newly refurbished.
However, there were so so many good things. Staff were humble and so helpful. Breakfast variety was overly impressive and we definitely over ate. The pools are stunning with service at hand, water slides, loungers, afternoon tea, lunch etc. The hotel faced the beach which had lots of water sports from parachuting, jet skis, banana boat to even horse rides. Location was the best close tonight markets, food and lovely walks. Xmas dinner was spectacular with little treats delivered to our rooms. Will I stay here again? 100% just not on level 3.

|1.06km from city centerUpon arrival at the Rasa Motel (free parking) we were greeted by the loveliest, friendliest host. I believe her name was Goi. She asks all about you, how you are doing, etc., gives you a map to explain how to get to the nearby attractions, and explains the water and drinks situation at the motel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a triple room in the new wing which provided a double and a single bed. The room itself was very clean and bright with a fancy new air conditioner. It's easy to tell how new the bathrooms are as well! It's only a 5 minute walk to the beach and Goi can recommend any and all types of food/cuisine that you please, she seems to have all the insider knowledge! They also let us keep our leftover Nasi Kandar in a fridge since there is no fridge in the rooms. I would highly recommend to stay here if you are looking to stay in Batu Ferringhi on a budget but not sacrifice a warm welcome, a neat room, and a great location.

Everything was nice except service . We had called 3 times from hotel phone but nobody pick up the phone . I need to go down and ask them to send bathrobe to me 😢, need to improve ya

The resort is near to the beach, hotel staffs are friendly and attentive, room is clean with beautiful garden view, pool view & partial seaview. Hotel’s breakfast with lots of varieties, food are tasty and very fresh. My boy and I love the pool too. Wish they have the usb port for gadgets charging in the room.

After room change, the new room have malfunction aircond (long time to cold), toilet door damage and even found 2 wet towel in the cabinet. I understand I took budget hotel, but, come on, this is kot my 1st time use OYO budget hotel.
But i should praise the staff there, very calm & professional handling my complain. Really felt been in good hand.

|0.82km from city centerFirstly the staff, they are all really lovely and cannot do enough for you. When we checked in we realised that we had accidentally booked the wrong week! But this wasn’t an issue as we were given a better room for the same price! In fact, we actually enjoyed our stay that much we ended up staying for 14 nights! The location is great, there’s plenty to do, lots of great cheap restaurants and the beach is less than a few minutes walk. Initially it was hard to find as it’s placed in an old shopping centre on the 2nd floor. We took the escalators but there is also a lift. Once you get inside, the secure front door the reception is modern and clean, 24hr help is always available and the rooms lock with a physical key. You get way more than you’d expect for the price. Modern clean rooms with refurbished en suite with rainfall shower. Hot water at all times and reliable WiFi. Tea and coffee 24/7 too! And breakfast everyday until 11am!! Every 3 days we got clean towels, fresh sheets and the room was cleaned. Some guests have complained about the noise from the charaoke which is on the same floor but our room was the closest to this and we were never kept up, the latest would could just about hear it was 23:30 but this was on a Saturday night! The only downsides, albeit small, were the lack of variety at breakfast, lack of natural light in the rooms due to the windows facing into the shopping centre so the curtains should be closed, and the WiFi was a bit slow, but only noticeable if streaming HD videos, for general web surfing it was more than capable! Overall me and my partner were very happy with our 2 weeks we spent here, we felt very safe and relaxed and you can’t argue with the price! It saved us a lot of money on our 6 month trip and was one our favourite place we stayed in Penang! Thank you once again, if we are ever in Malaysia again we will be sure to visit :)

|1.33km from city centerStayed as a big family in this penthouse on the top floor. The views are breathtaking facing the sea and also had a terrace with bath tub. The building shows of its age maybe needs a few upgrades. But for the price you can’t complain.
